Easily worst experience I've had, and I travel non stop.

First night (room 801), air conditioning my room didn't work. They were sold out, so, I had to stay in a room $300.00 room with no AC, but, they did offer me free eggs and sausage in the morning to make up for it.

Then, night one, they come in my room and wake me up at 10pm to check AC again.

Then, they come in at 1130pm and wake me up again to check it once more.

Night two, they move me rooms (to 804). I have to extend another night to night 3 due to an event going over. They says just come down in the morning and get your key rekeyed.

I come down the next day (right before I have to leave for my event) for a new person to tell me that my room (804) is not available so I have to go up, pack all of my stuff up put it in the lobby and wait until 3pm to recheck back into a complete new (3rd room).

This place is literally a clusterf*ck.

I've had better service and experience from every $80.00 per night hotel I've stayed in.

Avoid this place like the plague.

The staff was all very nice and helpful! One the receptionist named Mike helped us make dinner reservations for our anniversary and even bought us champagne. Breakfast was pretty good! Close to times square! Great place to stay, would definitely recommend!

Had problems with the hot water, but a friendly engineer was sent quickly who could fix it. Hhonors wifi is reasonable but not amazing. Too few lifts to the service the number of rooms, resulting in some very long waits. Affordable given its proximity to Times Square.

Todd at the front desk was very nice. The rooms are smaller but up to date and the way the rooms are set up you can get a lot in the room. Staff is very accommodating and friendly. They were able to provide some great restaurants to eat.

This DoubleTree did not meet up with the company's usual standards. The staff forgot to give us breakfast vouchers, the room was tiny even by N.Y. standards, and at breakfast it took an act of Congress to get water and spoons. The shower leaked all over the floor every use, we were continually only given 2 towels for a family of 4 despite asking for more, and one morning we and other guests had to take the stairs because both elevators were unresponsive. The only good thing besides the location was the Monday morning desk staff. They were great with my kids, generous with the cookies, and extra helpful.

great welcome from the staff, competent and helpful . good value for money .
The rooms are comfortable and are equipped with kettles, coffee etc ... the bathroom is large and pleasant, functional.
the hotel is very quiet and clean; we would gladly come back ...

The restaurant area is filled with small bugs, also the breakfast was so basic and some of the food is not fresh.
The rooms are very small and the room service is below Hilton standards.
This hotel deserve only two stars, and Doubletree By Hilton sign to be removed.

One elevator doesn't work, the second stops and opens the doors for thr times on almost every floor. Had to take stairway from 24th floor. Highly recommended, instead of gym.

Had to go and beg twice for the bottle of wine that supposed to be a part of the package. Finally got it at 11 pm. Stay away of that place. Never again.

The room was nice, had a mini fridge and a pretty large bathroom. Great distance to both Times Square and the Javits convention center-- a straight line to the latter. The price could have been better but I would definitely stay again.

Street it's on is under construction so our cabbie had to drop us off a half block away. Was not offered free cookies. Asked for my waters and was told they were typically only given to diamond members. Elevator was possessed and took us to floor 1 then wouldn't open, then shot up 20 or so floors ...terrifying. Room initially not equipped with mini fridge nor ironing board as advertised, but the hotel did accommodate after a call. Location was ok, but we still had to walk at least 8 blocks to be near the time square action. No views of the city.

Hotel is centrally located however in need of renovation. The size of the room in times square is fine however the curtains don't fully cover the windows and light does come in pretty early morning.

Terrible breakfast with food not refilled and tables dirty everywhere, even when not at all busy. Was charged 2 times for a night I didn't even stay there. Elevator quit working backing everyone up in the lobby. Management AND Billing office voicemail boxes full every time I tried to call to resolve the billing issue. Finally had to call Hilton Corporate. There are SO MANY BETTER Hilton's in NYC - stay away from this one.

Staff was very friendly. Rooms were clean. The dining room was spacious and breakfast was plentiful. Valet parking is definitely a plus. The bar in the lobby had everything you like. Not a 5 star because of elevators. Too many malfunctions. Had to take the stairs too often.

They don't answer the room service calls like literally never. Didn't have comforters basically my whole stay there. My bed sheets had blood stains. Hilton should take their name out of this hotel because it's ridiculous

The night crew was so kind! Lost my luggage, from detoured flight, due to weather, and they helped with retrieval. I agree the shower could have been cleaned a bit more but, overall... Great place!! Great people!

Amazing staff that will accommodate your requests. Be aware, the elevators (2) will often break and can take up to 25 minutes if you are on an upper floor ( i was on 25).
Check your vents in the ac and bathroom for dust... They don't tend to clean those at any DoubleTree I've stayed at unless you request them to.
Also, mind their linen policy... They will sometimes make up the bed to look like they have changed it, but with the same sheets (i had spilled a bit of coffee, but needed them changed from 3 days of work, and it only got made up, no new linen)
Rooms are very compact, but that's NY.
Amazing food and bodega at the corner. They will lend you an umbrella and are super helpful with directions!

Nice room and front desk. I was happy. Breakfast service on 10/9 was atrocious. Rude attendant. No smile, no greeting. Tried to charge me 18.45 for a small plate of cold scrambled eggs, with room for a tip. And it was self service. No coffee nothing else. She reluctantly took it back off when I complained. No smile, nothing. This restaurant is a problem. I will not pay 18.45 for a small plate of eggs, when I can get them for free next door at the Fairfield inn.

First room smelt like cigarettes and shower leaked so we moved rooms which staff were good at resolving. When we left one of the hotel staff lied to us about distance to airport and made us pay a Fortune on a car service which could easily been replaced by a cab. Nothing worse than being ripped off

For the price of the hotel, i give 3 stars because of the employee are very welcoming and excellent customer service but the quality of the hotel from the rooms, beds and TV are not for the price. There are insect on the rooms, i was staying on the 24floor the view is not so great, the area is very smelly. All i'm saying the place needs an update and better quality materials and the remove the insects inside of the bed, and room.

The front staff at the Doubletree Times Square South was nice, but I did have to go downstairs three times to advise my room was cold. Everytime i went they gave me some excuse then they eventually brought me a portable heater at 1am, which help the problem a little bit. Oh and the cookies were delicious.

Nice hotel very close to the times square. Rooms are fine a bit smaller, but thats nothing unusual in the centre of NYC. Elevators there are terrible, if you are in upper floor it takes 15-20 minutes to get down.

Room was in major need of a renovation. There was some mold present on the ceiling in the bathroom, a light fixture on the wall was missing the shade, and the wallpaper looked like something leftover from the early 80's. Additionally, because the room was so small, but had a standard hotel A/C, it was impossible to get the room to a comfortable temperature. It was either too cold or too hot. On the positive side, for NYC the bathroom was exceptionally large, also the front desk staff was friendly and professional.

My friends and I traveled to NYC, and we found this hotel in Manhattan at Time Square South. A great location to get around everywhere. The hotel room was O.K clean not the best but it'll do. We were only there to sleep. I've seen cleaner hotels. The room was very small, I wish it was bigger. The complaint I have is that the elevator doesn't work properly, we waited around 15 minutes just for the elevator to go up from the lobby. The staff was friendly. Although, my friend bought some stuff and he could not find them. I believe they stole it. I'm not sure if it was an accident because he left his stuff on the ground. The hotel has a history of the employees stealing items so it could or not be an accident. I don't understand why people have the need to steal, you live in NYC. Why would you want a souvenir?

One of the worst hotel experiences. Staff were unhelpful and disregarded our complaints. Rooms were too small. We moved to the other double tree (west) just a couple of blocks away which was better.

From 7/5/18 to 7/7/18 I stayed at your hotel with my boyfriend billy powell my son and my mom. The hotel room is clean but very tiny,a far cry from any other Double Tree I've been to. The hallway is near the temperature of a sauna. For the price you pay per night the amenities are underwhelming. The mini fridge in the room can't keep anything cool let alone cold. Upon making pricey reservations, the information about breakfast was extremely misleading,as if they say yes to anything just to get your money for a sad stay. The breakfast buffet was also underwhelming and if you want an omelet, that will be extra as if they didn't get enough of your money. You also get the flies on your food for free I guess.I would never come hear again nor suggest it to no one.

Well placed if you are going to the Javitts Center, and not too far from Penn Station or the 8th Ave Subway. Rooms were clean, well used, but nicely kept up. Hotel staff is very friendly. I will return.

Switched our room from king to double which was a downgrade in my opinion without warning and the view we were supposed to have was scaffolding and construction.loud trucks going down street at all hours.

Everything was fairly tired and worn but I'd stay here again. Staff was lovely and a shout out to Camila who went above and beyond in everything -- especially greatful for her attentiveness to my elderly family.

Wouldn't stay here ever again. Made the mistake of leaving my wallet in the room luckily i had the big bills and my id and credit cards. Put the do dont disturb sign up figured we were good. Came back late that night to find the room cleaned didnt think much other than they dont know how to read. The next morning we were awaken 3 times by housekeeping walking in our room. Finally i screamed were sleeping got up grabed the extra room key from my wallet and baam no money in there not even 1 dollar they took it all change included. I marched down stairs after waiting forever for the slowest elevator EVER. Spoke with the manager and filed a report even in the computer it stated my sign was up. But they still entered the room. Not sure what else they took well be intrested to see when we get back and unpack. They didnt offer anything or even say sorry. Poor buisness to say the least. And it was a pricy place

We stayed here for a week! The location is strategic .. All very close. Good cleaning and the King bed is really comfortable !!!! Large and spacious shower. In the room there is an American coffee machine and a fridge. In some corridors it is possible to take ice and water. When we arrived they gave us two bottles of water and two excellent cookies. Friendly and helpful staff. I did not give 5 stars because the first day we arrived the toilet, the toilet rim, was not perfectly clean and this house bothered me a lot but just check! And then I advise you to pay attention to payments, when we booked, through booking, they credited us twice the amount, fortunately we then solved. Then when we checked out twice we were credited with an undue amount .. In short, some incompetent in administration
however recommended!

The staff at check in was very accommodating. Our flight arrived early and they stored our luggage and checked us in even though our room wasn't ready so we could explore. When we came back we only had to pick up our keys. They also delivered toiletries to our room that we forgot.

Very close to time square, can walk to Broadway, shop at Macy's and other shops. The rooms are small and for those who sleep on the street are affected by noise. better to be on the backyard. Although the bathrooms are remodeled, the vanity counter is tiny and the faucet pours next to the sink. a bit of mold in the modern glass shower room. the continental breakfast is very correct.
