We had a great time! Nice room, out of the way and quiet with a nice patio and view. Pool was great and so was room service.
I do hate the "feather-like" pillows on the bed... and why are pillows so small now :)
First of all the stay was nice, but then the problems started when they billed my company and me, see this review posted on other sites as well; Wow - that is 3 hours of my life i will not get back, was charged $841.18 for a room they say they have no record of me staying in and therefore they cannot reverse the charge? Does that make any sense at all? Hilton Honors email and chat support both said go to the hotel - hotel does not answer the phone, even got the chat person to try and call she could not get through either - said to try back Monday - really waste another day on this? This is pure FRAUD and someone needs to step up and take care of it, I am left with no choice but to dispute the charges. If you have had similar experience please let me know and comment here!

Ask to see their underground garage and tire marks will tell you everything. (garage is just across the street, on south side)
Comforters are washed once a month. Pillows are replaced only after customer complaints. Just pull off your pillow case and you will see what I'm talking about.
My husband and I stay here several times a year. The location is convenient, the staff is very nice, the guest accommodations are roomy, and the grounds are lush and well-kept. It's surprisingly quiet, considering its location on Scottsdale Road.
Update: The hotel recently got a new General Manager, and I can tell. It's still nice, but... The service isn't quite as good, and they now charge for valet parking (used to be free with tips accepted). Diamond HHonors members used to get a free buffet breakfast - now just Continental with an up charge for the full buffet. No credit when ordering off the menu. The staff is apologetic - you can tell they are embarrassed by the change in policy.
I did not like this Resort at all. I got a room with very thin walls and you could hear the conversation going on in the room next to me. I just did not enjoy the stay at all. The room was so cold and it was in the middle of winter. I had to call them to come into the room to turn on the heater. I probably would not want to stay here again
Beautiful campus. Not a huge fan of walking to the other side for a drink but it's a nice walk
Not as nice as I would expect a Hilton to be. There wasn't even a microwave in the room.
Had the prickly pear chicken sandwich, it was good. Service was good. For hotel food it tastes good and was reasonably priced.
Rooms are spacious and comfortable, service is great and conveniently located to restaurants and bars.
Pick your room, some rooms are too far from everything
I killed 3 cockroaches within 8 minutes, seen 5 total. Sheets were dirty, entry way to the room was filthy. 1st review I ve ever left, I have never left a review, but after this.... I was forced too! Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else! I ve stayed in third world countries and haven t experienced something like this! If I could give zero stars I would. And as far as for bradly the manager.... absolutely not helpful at all!!!
Rooms a little outdated (had a smell) but pool area was fantastic! Breakfast really good and shuttle service phenomenal :)
Rooms are decent, but not 4-star quality. Most hotels and resorts of this rating will have incidentals available, more than toothpaste and a toothbrush. The air conditioning does not work very well, having a fan to help would be nice.

Very disappointed. Much better service from The Phoenician and other Marriott hotels. Poor check in. No explanation on room and amenities. Stayed in the large upscale balcony room over looking the pool. Paid extra for pool Cabana. We were at the Cabana four hours and NOT once did anyone come by to ask if we wanted drink or food. Gift shop employee never looked at me when helping. Will not be back.... So disappointed
rooms need renovation but the pools are nice and the restaurant is good.

Great resort. Nice are of town and close to many areas of interest as their website reports. Clean and large rooms and you can't complain about the weather. In the 70-80's in Feb is a plus. Great service and food. Everything I expect for a resort.
We love this Double Tree. My husband personally doesn't want to stay anywhere else. Every summer we pick a place for stay-cation. We have stayed in many places like, Boulders, Hyatt Regency, Pointe Hilton, The Buttes...etc. Last year we stayed here and this year we plan to stay again.
We love how the rooms have a patio with a view and that the rooms are practically sound proof. The other places have more to do, but for our needs (which are very few) we like to stay here to relax and do nothing.
Friendly staff. Spacious rooms. Great amenities. Good choice hotel for the area and price point. Will be on the top of my list of hotels to stay at next time I'm back in the area.
This is a very nice hotel. I attended a conference there, and it was very well handled. Great coordination by the hotel for services and they kept up with the boards notifying people where to go. Nice rooms, great food in the restaurants although pricey. I would be happy to have another conference here, they showed great skill in the process, and managed our 550 person event quite well.

Horrible I didn't even stay here and it was horrible. They charged me for extra nights and a room I didn't ask for and a reserved it. So I called and told and informed someone I wasn't going and I guess they didn't give the memo out u wasn't coming and they charged me for a no show. So I called and no one wanted to help me out with a refund until I told them. Worst customer service.
The whole ambiance outside was beautiful nice place...
I am currently in a room and just got out of the shower when I see a really big roach. This place is amazing and now I have the heebee jeebees. That is just not right.
Cancelled Reservation without contacting customer.... Staff did not accommodate rates to satisfy customer. We came from Wisconssin and Texas. Just because the ARCNA Convention was cancelled dont xs assume our trip was cancelled..... Thank You
Nice place to stay for business with all the amenities. Good staff and restaurant with bar. Also has a Starbucks and Avis and Budget Car Rental on location
Shoved in the basement. IT problems, bad acoustics. Food for lunch was simple but excellent.

Had a great experience here we had a room that was kinda dated but they upgraded to the best room on the floor also they gave us complimentary items for our anniversary as not only a hilton honors member but as an employee with Hilton this is by far one of the best places I've stayed !!! Very beautiful and the people were amazing
I want to give this place 5 stars but I can t. I loved the location and I got a great deal on my room, and the property is absolutely stunning. There were some issues though. The toilet leaked from the bottom and for four days I couldn t get someone to come look at it. They were short staffed and I m in no way complaining about that (I understand completely), there were things that should ve been posted on the resort s website. Things like, the very limited available food and snack options, and the bar only being open for a couple hours Saturdays and Sundays. All prior signage remains so it s confusing. Other than that, I really loved this DoubleTree and I had such high hopes for this stay. I was disappointed but I will definitely try staying here again once everything opens back up and they re fully staffed again.

This hotel is in a good location in Scottsdale. Close enough to Old Town and down town and not a bad drive from other shopping. The grounds are huge. There are 2 very nice pools with comfortable chairs that you can lay by. The fitness center also has a good variety of equipment. Rooms are spacious with comfortable beds. It is nice to have a little balcony on your room. Overall a great place to stay in Scottsdale.
My husband had a business trip scheduled in Scottsdale and we booked this hotel for 7 days. The hotel's landscape was beautiful and they worked constantly to keep it clean and mowed. Our room was next to the pool which was awesome since my husband was working for 3 of the days we were there. The general location was very convenient for walking to places to shop and eat or the shuttle would take you. The shuttle drivers were very helpful in recommending places to eat. I would stay here again and would recommend to anyone going to Scottsdale.

Very disappointing. The balcony and patio views are not at all as described. The property is set in a busy and congested area. There are not the beautiful views from all the rooms as described. Many look at a parking lot and busy street and lack privacy and safety. They did change my original ground level room that faced front parking lot and retaining wall/street. Ended up on second floor in back of property which was quieter with a private balcony. Rooms are old and outdated. I ended up shortening my trip by a day and was charged for the additional night. The hotel is not of the calliber of high end resorts that would require additional advance notice for cancellation. Unbelievable! No acknowledgement of being a Hilton Honors member. Concierge was off for the day I was told. Do they not have a back up? Really??? I travel regularly and stay at many Hilton and Marriott properties. This was one of the most disappointing I ve experienced in several years.
This is such a beautiful hotel / campus . We really loved staying here during the pandemic. We felt very safe and that the hotel was doing everything they could to take precautions and make sure everything is clean. We would love to come back to the double tree resort by Hilton next time we are in Scottsdale, AZ

The resort is immaculate. The rooms are nice and clean. Second floor rooms have very tall ceilings (18 feet). The balconies and patios are great. The digital key worked great for my room, not for the pool. I would definitely stay here again.
I've stayed here many times. Large high ceiling rooms are nice. Remodeled lobby and lounge area are good for hanging out or working. The only negative is that the place is sprawling. It's quite a walk to get anywhere. Otherwise a nice hotel.

A totally enjoyable experience. Outstanding service from the front desk team & concierge (Michael, Brad, John, etc..).<br/>Room was nice, sizable, comfy, & very clean. Grounds were very well kept and maintained with both pools perfect for resting in the sun & shade. Peaceful, quiet, and relaxing with a resort feel away from the main road unlike other properties along Scottsdale Rd.<br/>Would highly recommend & will return on my next visit to AZ.
