DoubleTree Hotel Aurora Reviews

I booked this hotel online and one of the main reasons was because the website said "24 hour airport shuttle". (I had a 6:30am flight the next day with 2 small children and that was super convenient.)
I called to reserve my shuttle for the early morning flight, and was told they didn't do shuttles on the weekend. I was very irritated and said, "Your website says "24 hour shuttle, that's the main reason I booked with you. You should make sure people know there isn't a shuttle on the weekend!"
I was answered with, "Well, we only have one driver. We're looking for another driver to hire. I can't work my one driver 7 days a week."
As if it were MY fault they were understaffed. I had to call and pay for airport transportation. I could've found a different hotel that did actual 24 hr airport shuttle like the website said. I also reserved a 2 queen bed, only got one king (not too big of a deal, we all just slept in one bed.) They were also doing construction (also not mentioned online) and started early in the morning with loud, irritating noise. Overall, not very satisfied with this hotel.

Rave rave rave! Not only is this Hotel beautiful but MONICA is the gem at this property! She has gone above and beyond for my family, in making sure that our stay was amazing and hassle free! She is one of the best front desk agents I have ever had the pleasure of booking with! Hotels are hotels but it s the staff that makes them extraordinary and Monica is the front desk agent that does it for this hotel!!!!

I am a frequent traveler and spend at least 100 nights a year in hotels. As far as friendliness of staff and reletive cleanliness the hotel was a 5 or 4 star respectfully. However, the noise was so bad our second night and they did nothing to accommodate us in any way. I would likely not come back.

Nice comfortable rooms. Lobby is updated and a nice place to gather. The bar is good. The food is mediocre. Both breakfast and menu items are pretty weak and over priced.

Very pleasant pace to stay, especially if you are the for any event. They are doing construction on the hotel right now (9/2017), but are very up front about it. Would stay here again.

If anything lower than a one star could be given it would be. Our room was in a terrible state. Our bench, microwave and dresser were badly broken and there was zero toilet paper. When the front desk was notified, it was just brushed off. We were snowed in (Colorado is known for snow so snow shouldn t be an excuse)and the food available was par and that even is an overstatement. I will not be returning to this location or any Double Tree. Thank you!

Hotel looked very nice but the elevators were a bit buggy. They kept skipping our floor even though the button was pressed and lit.

Had a great week-long stay here for business! The fitness room had a variety of equipment, sanitizing wipes, was very clean and easy to maintain 6ft spacing. Pool was closed, understandably. Jackdaw restaurant has delicious food. Got room service three times. Two dinner meals pictured- the bacon-roasted Brussels sprout Caesar with salmon, and the jumbo shrimp chimmichurri (normally comes with mashed potatoes but I subbed a salad). I never even had to speak to the manager.

I stayed in Hilton honors 6th floor comfy beds! I passes out for like 4 hours when I checked in on accident! The bathroom in my room was very large compared to other hotels.

Nice hotel, but they gave me a room with two queen beds instead of one king bed.

Breakfast was ok. Few dishes which were supposed to be warm we're not...shuttle is 24 hrs from and to airport but we have to wait 90 mins for the shuttle

They are currently renovating the hotel. Was given a free code to the wifi, large spacious rooms, able to text staff for room service and other needs. Rooms had some flaws if you really looked for them but overall nice and I would recommend this hotel.

The room is good and staff is welcoming. The only caveat is that it doesn't meet the standards of other double trees like there is no mini fridge and tv hardly works. Food is continental

Everything was good. Bathroom smelled slightly of sewage. Knob on shower fell off a couple times

The location was convenient to the interstate and about 15 minutes to the airport. The long is currently going through renovations but is large and open. Room appeared to be recently renovated and were more than passable. I did not eat at the hotel but the airport shuttle was nice and quick. Staff was very friendly.

The cookies are awesome. The rooms are clean. The WiFi has poor connection strength and regularly disconnects.

I only got 2 free breakfast tickets when we were four people but the room was nice and clean I got good service , and also received free cookies when arriving

Hotel is too loud. Inside and outside.
Price-performance ratio is not right.
Bathroom not clean, carpet with stains.
Lobby looks good, but nobody stays there either.

Even going through remodel, the facility was clean and employee's were friendly.

Hotel is a bit dated. Price was good through travelocity but travelocity was wrongabout some details. The wireless and internet are not free, it's 12.95/day per device! I am not sure why hotels think this is still acceptable. As a business traveler this should be included as I need to be able to gain access to work when on the road. I will not be coming back. Although rooms are a decent size, parking is weird and the hotel layout is just strange.

The hotel room is extremely spacious and clean. Staff is great. And there's a Pokestop in the hotel.

Good staff, attractive property and rooms, nice bar and beer selection, with a shuttle to local businesses and the airport.

Very nice hotel for this part of town. Feel like good quality instead of merely the superficial appearance of quality.

I was with a diamond for life member.. It was very disappointing. The bar/restaurant closed at 11 on at 11:02 the woman refused to help us and the man just shrugged his shoulders and walked away. No biggie.. We just wanted a bottle of wine for the room.. But for 2 minutes late... !!??
She still had her drawer/till of money, we were staying the night,and as a diamond you'd think they would accommodate and add to room charges if no drawer. Oh well,I would never feel "special" about the"Diamond" rating. . So I have no interest in the hotel or benefits. Room was clean, hot tub and pool were nice.

Fantastic hotel!! Beautifully remodeled, staff was very friendly and helpful! Great breakfast, and even a to-go starbucks machine in the snack area! My new favorite hotel in the area!

I LOVED IT!!! It was EVERYTHING!!! Parking was expensive tho. So we parked and walked about 5-10 minutes.

The service with the front desk and the restaurant staff is terrible. NEVER eat at the restaurant.

Broken elevator, exposed wires from the AC in my room, broken bathroom door, stains on the floor in the hallway. Absolutely would never recommend this place. Had a better experience at a Hampton inn in the middle of Kansas.

Bartender when issued a tip she acted as if it was a right for her to get a tip and started to make faces... unacceptable.

Under renovation. Lots of work yet to be completed. Only one elevator operational. Excellent breakfast buffet.

We had to sleep over because our flight was delayed. They were very accommodating and provided us with extra blankets and pillows and even toothbrushes we we asked for them.

Bonus: There's 1 pokestop at the hotel.

This is my 3rd stay here in the last 4 weeks. Lets get to it...

The Good:
As a Gold Member, free breakfast, decent selection, morning wait staff is friendly. Dining area is cozy, warm lobby area as you can see by the pictures. The bed and linens were comfortable, granite counters, updated furniture (except the bed).

The Bad:
The hallways and door hardware is really dirty like it hasnt been dusted in ages. The doors were left from the 70's as well as the wall heat/air units. I actually saw one pulled out during my stay and it has 11-2-79 written on it as if that was when it was installed. The TV is and old Philips, from the date of manufacture on the back was December 1998. The bed is the awful kind with the wheels for posts that you always stub your toes on. The doors were dirty as if a years worth of hairspray had been sprayed on it and never cleaned. Internet is $12.95 a day and really isn't that fast. The bartender was cold and made you feel like you were putting her out when you showed up.

The Avg:

As a gold member I wish there was some consistency, the first time I was put in a standard room, the second in an upgraded room with a mini fridge, the third time back in a regular room. The TV was on the blink when I checked in, it was replaced with another 1998 model.

Long story short, since I am staying here on business I'll survive, but if I was the one paying, I wouldn't stay here. This is a great place if you need a bed to sleep in and a good start to your day, not some place I would want to spend week after week.

This may be a 3 star hotel, but I got 5 star service. My room was ready way before actual check in. The drivers of the Vans that picked you up from the airport as well as the courtesy trips they gave me were outstanding. Service all the way around was outstanding. I would highly recommend this place. It is a steal for the money.

I was really disappointed. I have stayed here, when I visited Denver for a conference. I had a presentation and required internet. In spite of not providing wifi, the staff was really rude.

Location was okay, kinda far away from downtown. Rooms were decent but nothing special. Service was good, the employees were nice. Definitly a 3 star hotel.

The best service, room was huge and every employee was awesome.

I can't say enough good about this place. Comfy, clean room with endless hot water. Friendly and exceptionally courteous staff. Fantastic breakfast buffet. Did I mention the friendly, helpful, and courteous staff? That always had a smile?

I've had great success with D. T.... I get service when I ask for it. Extra blankets..towels and COOKIES.. everyone has been more than NICE...SO I HOPE I CAN USE THEM Again UN September ...DO FAR..... I LOVE IT!!!!!

Spa tube was great. But for price I expect more for sure

Room next to freeway, road noise all night, said they were booked and couldn't move me, booked a room with a fridge and microwave, my room had neither and they could care less when I brought it to thier attention. Lobby is under construction sheets and tape hanging from the ceiling, I am sure there are better choices near by, not happy with my stay at all

Loved this stay! Great staff, great place. Only problem was the breakfast wasn't free AND the pool was closed.

I was there for a work training. So I didn't pay for it. That being said, the staff are extremely nice and accommodating! The room was clean. The carpet in the hallways needs to be updated. Over all a good place.

Terrible customer service they don t care AT ALL about their customer only about their money never recommending this place to ANYONE

Even since it was Valentines the dinner was remarkable! That is all we can say. If you are a foodie go there!!!!

Nice rooms if you are more than 3 people you can have your rooms next to each other and then there is a door between the 2 rooms so you can open the 2 up

Heater in room wasn't very warm, water in shower wasn't hot

This hotel is under construction from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm. We got to our room about 3:30 and were ready to relax from a long drive. There was no mention of any of the construction when my husband made the reservation. No notice when we verified our reservation and checked in on line the day before we were to arrive. When we brought the issue to the front desk, "Laurie", a front desk representative; blew me off and started a telephone conversation. Unbelievable!

I attended few events here and it is nice. It is a great place to gather around for coffee after an event.

It was great spending time here. We were welcome with fresh drinks when we arrived. very neat and quite rooms . Awesome service

Clean and quiet. Very comfortable room and spacious, well furnished lobby. Great staff with helpful recommendations for things to do. Greatly appreciated the free airport shuttle!!

Room did not have a refrigerator. It had to be purchased separately but they didn't have 1 available untill half our stay was over. Movies were 20 bucks each.
