Cookies were delicious!
The staff were all friendly.
We absolutely loved our stay:
Friendly staff always ready to help, great, clean rooms, sparkly clean pool area.
We will definitely come back.
Here for a conference, nice clean room, reasonable price, would definitely stay again.
Perfect overnight...immaculate accommodations, staff was helpful, free shuttle to my presentation location!
Nice hotel in a cool mixed use area. Clean, fresh chocolate chip cookies. Didn't get to try the restaurant but will next time.
As a guest there my stay was less then mediocre. On there defense as a tourist in a foreign state , I had a few to many drinks and had to be escorted. Although my significant other was reassured by the staff that my luggage would be taken care of. According to there manager, he would find my luggage if I paid my bar tab of $80. He inferred that my belongings accumulating over $500 and priceless possessions would not be investigated unless the bar tab was paid. I would say there front desk manager was less then professional, and somewhat petty. My "personal" belongings vs an $80 bar tab....Thank you for your hospitality?
Great pool/hot tub area, comfortable bed and a safe area! But it costs $44 extra to make it a normal room ($14 parking, $15 microwave, $15 mini fridge, each nightly).
Very nice hotel, very luxurious and fully loaded with all the amenities that you may need. Restaurant and bar, pools, and hot tubs. Rooms are very nice, and comfortable but the only thing missing is a refrigerator or cooler. The staff is friendly and helpful and the manager is excellent and very professional, he even remembers your name, where that is very rare at other hotels. These people work hard to assure you have a pleasant experience
It turned out to be a good enough stay thanks to Jordan, (he gets a five!). I made a Honor's card reservation month's ago, (April), and I ended up making a new reservation for an additional room on the day of arrival for $50 p/n less than the one I made. At first the front desk was not going to lower my rate but Jordan did after some discussion.
Additionally, at no time did the front desk or reservation department tell me the hotel was under construction. There was a makeshift lobby, no bar or restaurant, (some tent set up by the pool for breakfast. My pool view included a view of construction materials, great?
The room itself was nice enough except for small-low toilet and a slider wood door that would slide all the way.
They really should have told me about the hotel condition and then it would have been my choice whether I stay there.

Cozy and comfortable stay Helpful staff Free parking Excellent dining options Would recommend !!!
Nice room that overlooked a pavilion space. Hotel staff were very kind and helped us check in late, well after normal hours. Gym was nice.
What's not to like! Extremely courteous staff and personnel. They can't do enough for you. Room was spacious with plenty of room to relax. Beautiful pool area. Food great and there are many restaurants and shops within a 15 mile drive. Would definitely recommend a stay.
Nice place and love the cookies they give you at check in
Nice hotel, seemed to be recently updated. Nice staff, comfortable beds. Under construction but still nice.
I stayed at Double Tree Del Mar 10JUL2015. The hotel meets all the aesthetic requirements of a good hotel without question. That said the pillows and bed sheets had an odor would suggest that they are not being sufficiently washed, which also can be smelled at times in the room. For this reason I would not recommend this hotel to a friend. In my opinion maintaining clean sheets should be a fundamental practice of any hotel.
The Hilton hotels are great. This one location has been remodeled. No complaints about service or staff. Very welcoming and helpful. I'm giving 4 stars because they need to check on a very nasty smell on the 5th floor. Inside a room 555.
Jordan and Kristen are without doubt the best hotel employees I ve ever met and worked with and they should get a pay raise daily! They went above and beyond when some things went wrong with our original reservation (not because of an issue with the hotel but with prior tenants who trashed the room apparently). They delivered water to us and gave us a space to film a documentary. They are everything good about the hospitality industry. Hotel was nice, fairly quiet and clean, spacious JR suite, etc. I would stay here again without hesitation. Thanks for a great stay Jordan and Kristen!
Catered food was pretty good and revamped terrace area is nice. Still would prefer a bit more shade. Employees were very helpful and kind.
Renovations ongoing. Parking lot is pretty small and compact.
The pool is great. The main pool is huge. There is a nice wading pool that's a foot deep. The Jacuzzi is comfortable. There are lots of loungers, tables and chairs.
The room was clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly.
Very nice hotel, but in a office building complex. Only a short walk to restaurants.
Hotel was at a good location, was easy to find. Rooms were nice and comfy it was just missing a fridge which was available upon request. Customer service was just ok, nothing spectacular not bad either
I booked this hotel through Expedia for a client and Expedia would not help with the travel change I needed to make. The hotel jumped in directly to sort it out. I learned my lesson to always book directly with the hotel. Because of their great service, I'll recommend and continue to book reservations at the Doubletree Del Mar.
Clean comfortable rooms. Friendly staff. Great access to freeways
The front desk person seemed to be in a bad mood and gave me our room key in a sour way, but besides that the stay was great.
This hotel is conveniently located for Del Mar business. Tucked between office buildings, you still have easy access to the highway, a Starbucks and the beach. Rooms and common areas are updated and well maintained. Staff is friendly and the shuttle will take you within 6mi, which comes in handy when drinks are in order after a long day of meetings. Also, the front desk always has warm cookies on hand in case you need to eat your feelings. #Delmar #SanDiego #Hotel #HomeAwayFromHome
Expensive drinks and bad happy hour. Food is decent.
Check-in was quick only because the girl was in a hurry to finish her energy drink and get back on her phone. My door to the room was sealed stating the room was Lysol cleaned but I'm pretty sure they just changed the sheets and maybe vacuumed. The mirror in the bathroom looks like a giant brushed their teeth and splatted everywhere...at least I'm hoping it's toothpaste. Anyway, I am laying here getting ready for bed wondering if breakfast is happening because no one told me. Nor, did the room have a coffee maker. Location is great!
Very nice hotel with. I loved the smell of the lobby
Extremely clean and comfortable. A bit too modern of a decoration style for me, but it works. Breakfast buffet is really no different than other hotel buffets such as Hilton Garden Inn.
The staff is always helpful and responsive even when the lobby is busy and hectic.
The pool is quite large but not deep enough for me. The exercise room is decent but nothing worth noting about it.
Best value I can find in the area.
Banquet Staff is on point. Steller service by Dominic and Jose and the rest of the team. Thank you!
Perfect hotel in North San Diego area. Friendly employees. Comfortable beds. Nice pool area.
We traveled to San Diego for a soccer tournament and the DoubleTree Del Mar was one of the preferred hotels listed for the event. We were told ahead of time that they were doing some renovations to the Lobby and Restaurant and said there would be some "minor" impacts. What they didn't tell us is all foot traffic was restricted to one entry point to the hotel and 2 elevators (1 doubled as the service elevator as well which meant you either had to wait longer for the guest elevator or ride with the housekeepers and their carts). The "temporary" restaurant was a white tent set up outside the pool area with a handful of 2 or 4 top tables. There was no air conditioning in the common areas and the one in our room wasn't much better. We wanted to order food in one night and were told we would have to eat in our room because they did not allow outside food in any common areas. So....we went out to eat instead. What made the entire experience even worse was the rate at $250 per night!!
Nice clean rooms fast wifi nice pool an spa very friendly people
Going down hill. The employees are developing a piss poor attitude and the property is showing the results. The court yard is left with the nights glasses and plates only to be cleaned up late the next morning to the breakfast crowd the next day. It is sad when the waitress that has not given me the time of day all night and then takes away the last third of my beer because I say I currently don't need her service. I'm am rethinking my next stay in Del Mar.
August 20 2018- update the hotel maybe remodeled but the staff still sucks in the bar. Waited 15 minutes for the bar tender to show up and when he finally takes my one beer order he immediately forgets. My next stay will be at the Marriott.
Great hotel and great staff working there. Excellent food order from the alcarte menu.
Had a nice suite, but it wasn t well maintained or clean. Treadmills weren t working, and I guess I was expecting more from this place. I should ve just stayed at the Hampton Inn next door. Breakfast at the hotel was pretty good though.
Great service, clean rooms, beautiful outdoor area. Amazing pool. & great restaurant too.
very good, good treatment as always what characterizes Hiltons hotels
We got upgraded.. rooms are really clean and comfortable bed. Enjoyed the breakfast. Friendly staff.
Due to the blatant rudeness of Rita we will move our San Diego business to a different Hilton property. Probably Garden Inn by Hilton
This is the 2nd time we have stayed there and everything was perfect again. We needed a crib and mini frishr for the baby milk in the room and it was all set up when we got there. Pool is rrally nice, kid pool is amazing for the little kiddos and the restaurant isn't bad. Love the patio area.
Beautiful pool, delicious free cookies, and nice room
Clean and nice, but lacks things like refrigerator and complimentary breakfast
Dog friendly hotel! Rooms were comfortable & had a bathtub that was handy for rinsing the dog. The chocolate chip cookies were the best!
Beautiful hotel. Parking is kind of expensive but otherwise it was a very lovely stay. The food was yummy, alcohol was not too horrible priced, and pool looked beautiful. The work out room was kind of small but looked decently stocked for the number of people I saw in it at any given time.
The customer service was great, beautiful rooms, and warm cookies!!! The only thing I didn't like was a $12 parking fee for an open lot that should've been included.
Good hotel and convenient location. Renovation work in progress.
Maybe it's usually nice but I was there during a lot of construction
Everything was amazing. Front desk are probably the best experience I've ever had. The only problem was the a/c was a little too noisy. But overall a really great hotel
Clean, nice, mostly come and go. But would stay at again
Clean, modern, rooms with the typical great service you expect from a Hilton property
Great hidden gem. Rooms are very nice, staff is very friendly and helpful. Everything is very clean. Location is near businesses but the beach is <1 mile away.
This has become my secret HQ when visiting SD.
Excellent hotel. The location is near Del Mar with several great dining choices, and plenty of other activities. The rooms are clean and staff is always very friendly. The hotel breakfast is very good as well.
Good rooms, a but of an odd design but still good. Building under construction so the lobby was a mess.
In the middle of a HORRIBLY planned remodel. They are doing way tooooo much at one time and should have shut down for a month and just completely it more quickly. Lobby is not open. Restaurant is outside under a tent. Stay away until the remodel is marked as completed.
New tv, new mattresses & delicious complimentary cookies but sadly no elevator music. Overall a good place to stay.
Wonderful hotel, nice staff and clean room. No matter what day of service the restaurant is slow but the food is great and worth the wait
Great location; staff was a little overwhelmed, in light of COVID-19; staff could have been friendlier
So far my stay has been fantastic. The service has been amazing. They give basic toiletries in case you forget anything, like a tooth brush or tooth paste.
WATCH FOR BUGS!!! We have stayed there one night. Came out covered in bug bites. Hotel management told us to discard luggage and dry clean all inside AT OUR OWN EXPENSES. No room cleaning or inspection was done. They refused to take care of the expenses of our bug infestation from using their room. Hilton Honors policy is to leave all bugs and burglary complaints up to hotel management. They won't help. SD press is being interested and engaged on passing along the info to protect future guests though.
The room was beautiful. The staff was super nice and helpful. The shuttle driver was the best by far and they give you a delicious cookie at check-in!
