Let me start by saying this hotel almost ruined my family vacation. I booked online at pricline paid nearly a thousand dollars up front, arrived noone helped with baggage had to load up my whole family's luggage after driving 5 and a half hours from Glendale Arizona! Then only to find hidden charges they charge 15$ a night for parking! After 4 nights thst is another $60 on top for parking they own. Then get to the room whole room smelled like feet and homeless were there, this is the Hilton they put me on the 3 Rd floor all the way at the end of the hallway. Pulling this huge baggag carrier because the bellhop called out that night to find the room small and extremely smelly, a vue of dead flowers, was supposed to be a vue of the pool afterabout midnight after trying to figure out where I went wrong doing this deal, I called to cancel the rest of the stay they then told me had to call pricline so after all that they didn't discount or refund me any of the one night of my stay charged me 230$ plus 15$, and I had no wi fi the whole time I was there took me 2 hours to sign up for Hilton honors which is a joke after I did all that the wifi find was so week it wouldn't stay connected , don't stay here place is bad, it's nice downstairs but the rooms are crappy and small I will tell everyone my experience, I had to rebook an air b and b and had a terrific time exactly after I left this place , Paris Hilton should be ashamed this place is a rat nest. My kid was crying because it was so freaking bad I'm like come on. On top of it after speaking with the downstairs they said to talk to the managment
In the morning then went down at 9 am to find out the manager is in a meeting for the next hour and a half which was probably a lie, then I carried all by baggage back down the hallway for my family because again no bellhop and checked out, I feel I should tell everyone that this place in precisely represented by Paris Hilton drunk used and abused with too much money
And overpriced. Never again brother.

It's unreal that there aren't at least small refrigerators in the rooms. How am I supposed to keep drinks cold especially if I'm staying for an extended period of time. And $12 parking for an open lot in which I'm staying at anyway...makes no sense. Other that the location is good and love thw pool area. But join the 21st century and put some fridges in your rooms!

Very nice hotel and very friendly and supportive staff! Facilities were excellent -- very close to restaurants if you want to walk! The restaurant and bar in the hotel are wonderful -- nice atmosphere and the breakfast is delicious!

Check in is 4p. I had to basically stand there and make them check over and over to get a room by 515p. (I initially arrived at 315p and happily waited until about 430p but had to be someplace).
One of the elevators was broken, which just left one. The number of people packing into them was insane especially due to covid.
Had to drag luggage up the stairs.
There was no tissue in the room.
No mini fridge which usually isn t a big deal but because nothing is open for breakfast or lunch on premise, not having a fridge makes it difficult.
The smell of pot permeated the hallway. I usually write or say great things about properties but this is just too many things to overlook.

I thought it sucked..they had closed everything off for repairs and opend a room for check in that had no wait area..you had to stand like cattle in a row.. I had 3 rooms for my kids graduation. No where to visit. Or sit and relax.A rediculous Tent for a restaurant outside..no warning or discount for our troubles..absolutely the worst and rudest managers too. Horrible.

Very expensive compared what they offered. Also the parking 15 per night is too much considering the hotel is not cheap... Hilton don t need this extra charge... are hotels around not charging for parking or breaking the parking costs when you are regular guest.

5th floor room was a bit noisy from "woosh" sound outside, probably the highway. All else good enough, convenient to office parks in the area and delicious chocolate chip cookie. I will say the $15 overnight parking put a sour taste in my mouth, seemed like a gratuitous add-on.

Dirty. God knows what the white splatters on the headboard were and the carpet had a stiffened brown stain. Have a look at this nasty TV remote. No security. Way overpriced for the amenities. Ugh.

The hotel room was relatively clean (more on this later) and the property had great ambiance. They also offer many amenities such as a pool, restaurant, and fitness room. Location wise I think you definitely need a car to sight see as it doesn't seem walkable to any attractions.

Room cleanliness was ok. The garbage however was not empty when I checked into the room so it makes me question their attention to detail when they clean. Also the room is connected to another room. Although the bolt on top was locked the actual door lock was not. Potential safety issue.

I asked to have a late check out and it seems my credit card was charged for it. But when I used my entry card to the room it didn't work anymore so I had to go back down to front desk to fix it. Not a big deal but a inconvenience nonetheless.

The pillows smelt like arm pit. The bathroom was only partially clean. The staff insisted they did not have ada accommodations for handicap son. And breakfast was good but server axle was in kitchen more than on floor was thirsty entire breakfast. Second star only for generosity of delicious cookies.

I usually enjoy visiting this hotel, but recent changes in hotel policy has made me unsatisfied in the operations of the hotel. Why do I have to pay $12.00 for self parking? I feel as though they are just trying to scam people out of money because just one year ago there was no extra charge for self parking.

Excellent so far. Everyone at front desk is friendly and helpful. Room is clean and nice and had plenty of towels. I wish the market was stocked up more often and with more diversity. Some kombuchas and healthy snacks would be a good edition especially since the restaurant is closed due to the pandemic. Obviously not their fault.

Very comfy rooms, everything was great the size of the room, bathroom, the amount of rooms. Only reason I give 4 stars the elevator took FOREVER. The breakfast that you can add on is so worth it for the price.

This is our third year staying here at this hotel with our girls Soccer team. I have had many experiences with hotels as a manager for our team. Most middle of the road. But with the DoubleTree Del Mar, it is all together an experience of greatness. Hands down from the sales staff: Barbara Lyons the catering staff: Kacie Nomura and Maria Bello to the room service: Diego. I cannot say enough great things about the entire staff. They are accommodating, professional, personable, and wonderful. We are definitely loyal to the Double Tree Del Mar.
Thank you all for doing such a wonderful job!

We always stay here when we are vacationing in July, but we where here January due to a death in the family. Just want to acknowledge the amazing Front Office Manager Jordan Hovis. He was very professional and very sensitive to our situation. I can't thank him enough for all he did for us. Thank you.

The Hilton was dog friendly. My wife and I stayed the night here. We enjoyed our stay. The room was spacious. We had a king bed. Not much if a view but close by several beaches. We will stay here again they next time we visit. The staff was very friendly and took great care of us!

Disappointed: *Surprise $15 extra for parking *No refrigerator *No coffee anywhere *No microwave *No help with luggage *Only 2 towels *No floor towel next to tub (and slippery floor) I ve stayed in the area before, so my expectations are calibrated. Don t want to add more to not affect personnel that I m sure are working very hard and are indeed very nice. Redeeming facts: Gym is very nice, great walking trail nearby, you can get your morning coffee at the gas station nearby, and San Diego is awesome! Management, COVID is not an excuse for less but an opportunity to shine! Go back to hospitality school.
A note to the responder: it is not about first impression and the cookie you give. After 2 out of 5 days stay here, it is a lasting impression that counts. I recommend people don't stay here.

Telemarketing calls won't stop!!

Telemarketing calls won't stop!!
I stayed here about 3 years ago. I gave them my phone number and now I receive daily calls that won't stop with promotions. If my number was not a business number I would change it. I have told them to stop so many times with no success. Don't stay here, its not worth it!

We booked a room for 5 nights, but canceled and moved out after second night. There was no fridge, so we requested for one and 2 nights later we still didn't get it. Even if reminded. Also we were a bit disappointed that If you include breakfast, it's for 1 person per room. Also internet was really slow. But swimming pool area is amazing, room was clean and quite big.
