Arriving my room I was addressed too was already occupied all rooms were booked so yes I was upgraded. Next morning the water wasn t working for a good 2 hours.. only 1 elevator works too btw

This is a Double Tree from 30-40 years ago. The rooms are small and have a smell. The wall paper is coming off, the bathroom ceiling has water spots, the shower head is too short, and an electrical plug cover was off. I booked a king size bed but was given two doubles. I asked to chage rooms but there were no kings available. however , I was given extra points for the mistake. This is just a hotel for LAX convenience and not worth the money. I have stayed in Holiday Inns better than thiis.

Delightful in every regard!

Delightful in every regard!

My wife, who is a travel agent, searched and checked every hotel around this area (and along the beach).

The parking is only $15/night, the breakfast includes eggs, bacon, potatoes (among other choices) in a nice restaurante-style setting.

The employees were very friendly - the front desk keeps warmed cookies stocked. Not joking!

The room is cozy, the fitness room had nice equipment and free weights - I m telling you, this is a great hotel!

Stayed here overnight to catch an early flight at LAX. Great friendly staff and an excellent breakfast! Perfect location next to LAX yet still quiet. They also provide affordable multiday parking for flying in and out of LAX. Will definately still here again!

Horrible experience waiting for shuttle at LAX. The hotel is only about 5 minutes from the airport and it still took them an hour . Waited almost an hour for a shuttle after talking to front desk receptionist 3 times. We waited so long that other shuttle companies were coming by and asking where we needed to go because they saw us waiting there so long. The front desk receptionist was so incompetent and never offered an apology after I talked to her and told her how long we have been waiting.
I would never ever stay there again, horrible experience and the hotel is just ok. Don't take the chance find somewhere else to stay it's not worth it. This was Saturday night Mar 26th 2016 after flying in from
Orlando. What a joke. They need to fire their incompetent receptionist.

Dated interior, hair in the shower that was definitely not mine. Mildew in the tile grout as well. It's ok, but the Hampton inn was much better (first time I've ever said this about a double tree). I definitely stayed at better double trees.

Friendly service. Clean rooms. Good breakfast at the restaurant. Location convenient to LAX. Probably not so good for light sleepers though as you can hear the planes at night. Otherwise it was a great stay.

I checked in on my app. And got my digital key and room number. When I got to the hotel they told me I couldn't use that room since someone else checked into it and my digital key wouldn't work? I was never greeted as a Honors member nor was I offered a welcome bag. The heater didn't work and the room was freezing and didn't do anything about it. The staff was rude!

The only reason I am giving this hotel four stars ...

The only reason I am giving this hotel four stars instead of five is the fact that it is pretty dated. The wallpaper was peeling off, the bathroom door was very hard to shut, and there was a strange odor throughout the hotel. However, when we arrived yesterday, mind you it was a Friday evening, for some reason this hotel only had one person at the front desk and we stood in line for almost 30 minutes. I had to give the upmost kudos to Anthony, the manager, as he handled this crowd extremely well for being by himself at that time of the day. I left something of high value in my room and I was pleased to find out house keeping was honest enough to turn it in, and they are shipping it back to me as I live out of state. Anthony is fantastic and deserves some sort of raise! Great employee.

I was not impressed with the hotel. The room was in very poor condition. The tap in the restroom came out and I had to manually fit so that I can use. The rooms do not have microwave and the ice machine was broken on my floor for all the four days that I stayed. I requested for a room on a higher floor but they did not had, which is fine. I also noticed that Uber or Lyft won't come easily due to some reason and the hotel does not offer complimentary shuttle to LAX so plan accordingly. I think it is better to have a stay in Marina del Rey area which has a lots of things to do around.

Let down by no airport shuttle, two elevators broken and sometimes all three elevators broken. Poor breakfast too. Bar staff busy doing everything else other than serving customers. Nice cookies though...

Misinformation is their biggest problems. I booked king size hoping they will provide me a room with sofa bed or roller bed. I was hoping the room would be big enough including with modern bathrooms. The bathroom door was a sliding door like a closet. The room was too small. The bed looked queen bed with no sofa bed or roller bed. I was with my two children. I ended up sleeping on the floor over a blanket leaving the so called king sized bed for my kinds. I ave tried to talk to front desk if they can change the room or give me a roller bed. While I was touring LA, the front desk called me and said this "congratulations sir we found you a roller bed" I said thank you ,but I am not in the room right now. The lady said 'no worries. We will put it in" I said thank you so much. I told her I did not sleep the whole night the previous night because of the floor. She said sorry but you don't have to tonight and the rest of your stay. I came back to the hotel at about 11 PM to find out there was no roller bed in the room. I was upset. I went to front desk to let them know the situation . They told me just sorry we don't know what happened. In short , I slept three night on the floor. They did not care. There are so many issues that was very bad in this hotel. The only good thing I could say is it was closer to the airport. Will never stay here again

What an excellent hotel! Inside the room was a little outdated. Close to the airport, hut trust me you won't hear any of the planes. Bar was very basic and closes right on the dime and way too early. Parking was a bit of a pain. Had to walk across the court yard and to the sixth floor of the parking garage. If your at the parking garage be sure to check out the Matel helicopter landing pad. See photo.

The place is nice but the carpet in the bedroom had a couple of steins.
The one thing that got me mad was that the morning we were living, We went to have breakfast and it was like a buffet so we starting taking some eggs and sausages, but when we were sitting eating the restaurant manager approach us and ask if we had a complementarity breakfast coupon and I replied that we were offered a continental breakfast. And he said that we may to pay for the breakfast. I got really upset and said if only one section of the table was free why didn't any said something or at least have a sign for it. He replied that they were busy and that he has been asking for the sign for a while but the hotel managers have not listen to him. He was a nice guy and understood our frustration with the whole thing and didn't charge us for the breakfast. His name is Nestor he was very professional and offered us an apology and said that the same thing has happened before. So to the hotel manager get this poor guy a sign or do something about otherwise you will keep getting complaints. Everything else was good. Thank you Nestor.

The stay was okay. This hotel charged my card two separate deposits for one. One of the deposits had nothing to do with our stay. I tried calling this hotel, and could not get anyone on the phone. I ve been trying to reach someone for days to get clarity on the charges. No one answers the phone. Before this stay I did not have any issues staying with the Hilton.

Beds are very soft. Can't complain. The complimentary cookies are a must to ask for if you have not tried them. I would not order room service, it's expensive and you can get better quality food near this place for cheaper.

1) The google result for the hotel mentions "Book a stay at the newly renovated Doubletree hotel in El Segundo and enjoy free parking and airport shuttle and easy access to area attractions and beaches"
2) The receptionist at the hotel said they charge a $15 per day for parking. But she will waive it for me.
3) Got my receipt and they still charged me for parking.
4) We drank 2 bottles of water in the room. I called hotel reception to get us some more water, the person in reception said they only give 2 bottles of complimentary water, Rest you will have to buy from the hotel store. By the way, there is no place to fill water in the hotel. I go down to get water, and the person at the reception (maybe the one I spoke to) says they usually give out complimentary water, but ran out of the bottles. Hotels running out of water? Anyway, ensure you carry your own water if you are staying here.
5) Overall, be aware and beware, this is not a good or friendly place to stay.

My floor dirty. Carpet disgusting

Restaurant weak. Nice folks but weak food

Front desk. Check in horrible. Customer service weak.

We had a room for 4 people only 1 towel, tried to call down to front desk but the phone didn't work. Had to walk down to front desk to get more towels. TV didn't work but it was too late to have to walk all the way downstairs to report it and had to leave at 3am to catch flight, so no one at desk for check out. Room was fine. Mild moldy walls at shower by toilet, but again too late to have to go downstairs to switch rooms with 2 little babies.

Until today it was one of my favorite hotels. But the experience I had and I will not return they told me that breakfast was included and when I got to the breakfast room they told me that it was not included and later I found that they made me a charge of 20 dollars of I don't know what. Try to talk on the phone they never answered.

The Doubletree Hilton OK state I arrived during the time of Covid so a lot of annuities were not open. I was in room 522 on the fifth floor it was fairly quiet. The bed comfortable. And I had a nice shower. My room did not have the towels. So I had to call for room service. I show my girlfriend to take a shower. Overall the hotel stay was pretty good. Except for the fact. That in the middle of the night I awoke to see someone standing in my room. I immediately hopped up and grab my knife in order to protect myself and my girlfriend. In the dark shadowy figure walked into what I thought was the bathroom. When I walked into the bathroom which was dark I looked all over and realize no one was there. I ll return to my bed don t say anything to my girlfriend in fear that I may scare her. After a while I fell asleep and my girlfriend woke me up saying that there was someone standing in a room and you smell like coffee. I then got up and turned on the lights checked the room again and no one was there. I ll check the connecting door to the room next to us and it was also locked . Dinner took a while for us to fall asleep well the next morning I woke up to go downstairs into the mini market to buy some snacks for breakfast when I came back to the room by accident I Musta hit the voice record on my iPhone me and my girlfriend then ate our snacks and had a conversation with each other. It wasn t until later that day when I noticed a new voice recording on my phone and I listen to it. It was a conversation between me and my girlfriend the only difference was that there was an extra voice commenting on our conversation. The crazy part was it was only me and my girlfriend in the room at the time of this conversation. So I am convinced as well as my girlfriend is convinced that room 522 is haunted and needs to be cleansed of the spirit I must say that I did not have any negative or evil incantation from the spirit. Staff is awesome hotel wide. The rooms need to be renovated. There's no water pressure. It's like taking a shower at the beach... Well not that good. The adjoining room that I was placed in has a door thin enough to hear full conversations, music and children running crazy. I feel like we are sharing a room. Unfortunately the hotel cannot move us because they are booked to capacity : / Not well spent money at all.

On arrival, there was an initial delay in checking in because the reservations were made by a 3rd party and not in our name. After a short wait for the booking to be confirmed, we were given rooms. My room had an odd smell the second day. It showed some age, but overall was acceptable

Parking is $20 a night, and you have to park, check in at the front desk, then go back to your car to put a handwritten parking pass on the dashboard. The room was average and seemed clean enough, but I never would have stayed at this hotel if it had been disclosed before I booked that parking was $20 a night.

Hotel very nice even paid for lyft ride to airport. Only negative is restraunt inside hotel does off lunch unless the cook is on shift. But even with the cook very limited menu. Also in very industrial area not much within walking distance.

Fairly modernized amenities but the room seems like it's very old with new makeup on. My room is damp and musty. It needs some upgrades to the air conditioner and bathroom. And the elevators are broken. That would make it a four star. The fifth star is unattainable because there is no onsite parking.

Bad buffet food selection, only omlettes are nice but they charge you extra but worth it. Bathroom doors stuck. Main door lock broken. Bathroom shower head too short, i had to bend over to shower (6FT). Terrible location based on the major attractions in LA, would recoomend a closer hotel considering how bad traffic gets. Only positive is their delicious complementary cookies.

Terrible. The only thing that works here is getting overcharged. Please save yourself the stress and book another hotel. Front desk guy was condescending and rude. Only one elevator was in service throughout and there was lines of people trying to use the elevator. Overall unpleasant stay. Also be ready to pay extra 100$ each night for deposit. So if you are staying for 3 nights, you will need 300$ deposits. Also PARKING IS 20$ Extra per day!!!!! Essentially, you can find a much more cheaper hotel in the area For your comfort. This hotel makes me terrified to try out any other double tree hotel.. highly disappointed.. nasty customer service .

I'm back in LA decided to give this hotel another try since our last stay was so pleasant ONCE again very pleased with customer service of the front desk (especially Caroline ) & we have a clean room. After reading all the reviews I'm not sure if I'm getting the best of the best rooms because I've never had a dirty room.. I am a Hilton honors member so I've stayed at many Hilton properties and once again Hilton has not let me down. The only problem I have is the $100 deposit PER NIGHT! I understand a deposit but $100 PER NIGHT that puts a strain on me & my family. This is my 2nd stay here and decided to write a review since there's so many bad reviews I just wanted to share my good experiences with this hotel I will be staying here again HOPEFULLY they lower the deposit however I totally understand.

In room decor a little dated. Just our luck, that night, no hot water for my shower after my long flight. By morning problem resolved. Brightside the hotel sent me a Lyft car to pick me up from the LAX. As always the lavender lotion is a highlight of the stay.

Ole Duphus is a Hilton Diamond member. This location appears to be good from the front.
But rooms are in need of remodel
Also self parking is across the street from the entrance. You have to walk across the street and park in a structure with limited ground level parking and the other areas you are allowed to park are several floors up.
A lot of walking if u have a car.
Not much focus on my Diamond status. Wasn t even offered the honors floor.
I won t stay here in the future.

DoubleTree was a great place to stay. It is convenient to some corporate headquarters, the airport, and enjoyable beaches such as hermosa, manhattan and redondo. Staff was friendly and professional. While breakfast was solid, it lacked any variety as I was there for a week. There were a few times the front desk was understaffed hence the 4 star rating.
