Clean, nice hotel, parking a little complex but free.
This hotel should be shutdown its an embarassment to the Hilton brand. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!!!!
1) This facility has 256 rooms and the entire time there, only one elevator was working. Wait times to get up and down was absurd.
2) Computers in the lobby. There were only two again for possible 256 guest. Out of the two computers one was down. This left only one operational. Made it very difficult to print boarding pass, check emails or for things to do.
3) Rooms were old which is not a problem as long as they are clean. This particular room there were issue with the plumbing. Tub drained slow. Toilet overflow. Toilet overflowing brings me to my last major issue. When this mishap occurred, your maintenance employee "Aldelso" stated to me relax. How am I suppose to relax when there is poop and water floating on the bathroom floor. Foul odor in my room. His tone and demeanor was unacceptable to me. This made the event occurring worse.
I loved every second of my stay at Double Tree LAX El Segundo!! Clean and nice hotel, outdoor very relaxing area by the pool, breakfast included - lots of fresh fruits as well as variety of sweet and savory options. The area is nice for walks and pretty close to the beach. The night rate is pretty fair, similar to all the rest of the hotels in the area. What I mostly loved about it was the staff tho. Every single person who I met and talked to during my stay was very nice, polite and smiling a lot! Front desk was very helpful and explains in detail every charge and transaction, the housekeeping ladies were very nice too, the restaurant/bar staff - amazing! Good job guys for keeping up the great mood while being so busy! I work in the service industry and I know how hard that is!
I absolutely and 100% recommend Double Tree by Hilton LAX, El Segundo if you are ever in the area and are looking for a place to stay. If I ever visit El Segundo again, I will for sure be coming back to this hotel!
Nothing but good things to say about this Doubletree. Stayed here for a few nights when my gf was in from out of town. The rooms are whistle clean, modern, well kept, roomy and comfortable. The bed was also amazing, I don t think I ve ever fallen asleep so quickly in my life. They also have a really nice bar with great happy hour specials on apps. I d for sure stay here again.
Clean room. Hotel serves its purpose. Next to Mattel
The rooms were clean enough. The elevator was too slow. Location near the airport was great
Very clean room. I do not like that there was no free breakfast.
The hotel was below what I would consider a double tree. The rooms reminded me of a motel and are in desperate need of a renovation.
The hotel is badly in need of a remodel. The decor, carpet and furnishings all appear to be from the nineties. The cookies are good, though.
Watched a show at the bar. Staff was friendly, food was good.
Worst of the mf worst . Nothing like the pictures ! Hallways & room have Oder. BAD ODER. 1 elevator working out of 3 . Only ice machine working is on 6th floor . WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANYBODY TO STAY HERE!
Good hotel, convenient to many restaurants and shops. What I like most about this hotel are the employees, who are very attentive and friendly, and the van they have to take you to the airport. The rooms are good.
During my stay I was most impressed with the lemon water on check in and the electric vehicle chargers outside. It can be a little tricky to find though. Room was normal hotel room nothing to add there.
The parking structure is shared with the Mattel HQ office. Hotel is located close to the freeway and a few fast food restaurants. Overall a good experience!
I like the area and the sitting area near the pool but the rooms need to be updated. I also didn't receive my cookie at check in. I know that sounds petty but hey....it's something I was looking forward to.
They have the best cookies. I get them from time to time. I just go for the cookies.
Fantastic customer service in the bar from Brice the bartender and Amanda the server. He knows his way around the bar and has a vast knowledge of mixed drinks. Brice is great with customers. Amanda is the most professional waitress that also steps in to serve every customer with 5 star service. This is a win, win for the Doubletree Hotel El Segundo. The front desk offers good service but, the bar and restaurant is just simply great.
The service in this hotel is good. However, it is an old hotel so you can t really compare it to other Hilton hotels. It is a cheaper option but I would recommend staying in another Hilton branch.
One of my favorite Doubletree Hotels. Great shower. Amazing staff. Comfortable Beds. Good food. 10 minutes from LAX and 2 minutes from In-N-Out burger. What more could you ask for?
Good location for a concert at the Forum! Very friendly staff and clean, comfortable rooms. I would definitely stay here again if I'm ever visiting this part of Los Angeles.
Nice spot right by LAX..good buffet breakfast..Shuttles run all day every 30 minutes..
All of the double tree hotels are nothing but amazing. I've been to about 15 so far, and not s single one was unkempt or had unfriendly customer service.
The hotel could use some renovations in the rooms other than that the staff is nice and the hotel is clean.
At DoubleTree it's always about the cookies! At check-in, they were on point with said cookies. Convenient local for an overnight business stay. Nice property. Recommended.
First and last time I will stay at Elsegundo, CA doubletree.
At check-in I get keycard grab all my stuff take it to the room to find out the keycards won't work, I called downstairs from the phone by the elevators just to be told come back down to the lobby, I'm carrying my 1 year old daughter and our things but I go to the lobby and their treating me like im trying to get in someone else room, but you guys just gave me a key that didnt work less than 5mins ago.
Anyway I get a new keycard that worked but this room has an odor and there's no bottled water in this room, hello im a honors member and vacation owner but I can't get water?
I call for the bottled water over an hour ago I guess they expect me to dring from the sink...
I could have gotten a 1bedroom at Marriott residents inn for less, you live and learn I know better next time just stay at Marriott.
Let s start with the quality of the rooms. They re very outdated. Old Covid infested carpet and wallpaper. The WiFi speed is equivalent to dial up.
Secondly, the front desk staff are incompetent. Currently In a dispute over my charges. Needless to say I will NEVER stay here again.
Stayed with my friends. Easy check-in and nice service.
Was the best hotel experience in California to date. Miles above the rest.
I spent this last weekend here at the Doubletree drove in from Las Vegas I'm disabled we were already exhausted so we were put in a room with no air conditioning so having to Change rooms as tired as we were so not fun so and I really was annoyed and mad terrible sliding bathroom door I would not stay here again
I was not made about the breakfast situation. It cost me $25 for two full spoons of scrambled eggs, few pieces of bacon, two pieces of sausage and a coffee. Room was ok but there was a hole in the wall the size of a fifty cent piece that for some reason has not been patched. Get it together Double tree.
Carpet was a little dirty. 24 he gym was nice. Very close by to LAX
My go to hotel when in LA, who doesn't love the cookies at check in. The are going through a refurb now.
The worse ever it took you 15 minutes to get an ride on the elevator they had 3 and only one elevator was working
New owners, not always a good thing. The parking is now overly expensive for no reason and the hotel staff isn't as friendly.
They didn't have electricity and told me that I could still stay (didn't expect to have power back until the next day) or they would graciously not charge me for cancelling. I asked where they could put me up instead and the lady behind the desk said I'd have to figure that out on my own.
I'd stayed at this hotel numerous times before, and am a Diamond member with Hilton. I've never before been spoken to like that. Needless to say, I took my business somewhere else and won't be back.
Perfect location near LAX . The staff is very friendly and they provide free chocolate chips.
I have been to this hotel for seminars rather than as a guest staying over at the hotel. The hotel is above decent from what I have experienced. It has a little gym room. It is clean and the staff members are fairly pleasant.
Nice rooms. Conveniently located near LAX with park and fly parking. Great staff.
Staffs were nice. But everything about room was bad, except that bed was very comfy. Way too overpriced.
1. Coffee machine: if you run through water without cofffee pod in it, you will see dark speckles sinking under your cup- by the fact that they sink, I assume it is some kind of metal. I poured 6 litters of water through it, but the speckles kept comming out.
2. Fixed shower head, hard to wash my hair only in the morning. (female with long hair cannot use sink)
3. No bathrobe: had to request it, limited number, too long and too heavy.
4. No indoor slipper: does everyone in US walk inside with shoes seriously??? So gross
5. No overhead light: hard to study.
6. Entrance: hard to find.
Overall the hotel is nice enough, however, the restaurant is 1 star. Few choices and none of the fish are fresh. I should have stayed eslewhere.
The company I work for always sends employees to this hotel and every time my room is very clean and organized. The temperature in the room was just right. My bed was amazing I was well rested. I haven't tried the food in the dining area, but overall I was comfortable and the staff was pleasant.
I frequently take classes at the Doubletree and find it a very nice place to stay. I have many co-workera from out of town who stay there and love the service and the rooms. They are always willing to give free cookies at the counter and will provide free printing and computer use if needed. No complaints here!
Easy to find hotel with easy access to high way and LAX.
Clean room, free airport shuttle, low rates; what more could you ask for?
Staff were friendly. Breakfast was great. And those cookies....
Have stayed there a dozen or more times. The food has gone downhill.
Rooms are okay. Couldn't get my electronic key because I am only silver, I was able to at the other properties I stayed at. View is of a business part.
Great place to spend your night. Also great customer service
I was overcharge for my room. There wasn't anyone to talk with, to handle this uncomfortable situation. It took over 5 days to resolve my problem. Where's the customer service?
Convenient to the airport and parking is easier than the hotels closer to lax
Didn't have our reservations correct had to go to another hotel.
Near the airport, clean and
not expensive
This hotel was nice overall. It was pretty clean in the Room however there was no maintenance done with keeping up with the hand wipes and keeping up with how many people that were coming and using the elevators. I noticed On more than one occasion there was Several people coming out in groups of the elevators and the front office staff would watch and would not say anything. I also complained about it twice and they told me they would keep up with it but they never did. There was also an issue at 1 point with one of the ladies that I had where she gave me my breakfast and over seasoned and salted it too much after I got back to my Room I noticed this.
Decent hotel, good location for traveling for work, close to all the aerospace companies
On our vacation stopping over in LA this was our choice and the service is excellent more than 5 stars. From the supervisor Anthony Gomez to the entire service staff Thank You for the hospitality we are trully grateful for the service and the King suite was awesome. Food and jacuzzi the complimentary breakfast it's all worth comimg back again and again and highly recommended. Thank You DoubleTree LAX El Segundo location SUPERB hospitality service at its best core!
The hotel has been quite the experience. Let's see, first the parking... awesome that it's included, but you have to walk up or down 6 to 8 flights of stairs in the parkade and vacate most spots before 7am because they are shared with other companies. Breakfast not included and crazy expensive at $17USD per person. Elevators didn't work one of the mornings, no signs or any heads up so I waited 5-10 minutes at the elevator that wouldn't come. When I mentioned it to the staff, they said they knew, but didn't bother putting up a sign. There's no coffee station at the hotel, so you have to make your own... the convenience of having one at the hotel should be a must, especially when it's $165USD/night. When I asked for some cream for the coffee to make in the room, they wanted to send it using room service. Very frustrating and inconvenient. Besides that the room was clean and good size, AC worked, staff was ok and friendly, but definitely didn't go that extra mile for customer service. I wouldn't stay here again due to all the other hassles.
Food way over priced bed had a big bow in it no towels at the pool
Typical DoubleTree, nice beds, decent sized rooms, not too far from LAX but far enough to avoid the Aviation fuel smell, Breakfast is okay, reasonable price
Bad: Poor customer service. No one seems to know what is going on. I tried to have an item I left shipped back to me and they lost it.
Below average rooms for the price.
Poor shuttle service; It was never timely at pick up and drop-off at airport.
No breakfast.
Expensive parking.
Good: Nice location near LAX.
Bottom line: I won't return given how expensive this place is and the poor shuttle service.
Reception staff could have been better..hard to contact.hotel itself is pretty good.Bar &Food staff were helpful.Go early for breakfast
The rooms were nice and the staff was very friendly. This was a great place to stay at when my wife and I were flying out from LAX the following morning. Definitely enjoyed our stay.
I get really good service here. Much better than the other Hilton properties in the area.
Items stole from me at this place. Have you seen these Headphones?
Went there beginning on June and left a headphone in my room when leaving.
I called right away the staff and have been told my request recorded and taken care of. Then no follow-up at all and when I call back there is no record done. Got the management about 1 month later that told me the hotel policy is to keep articles no more than 30days (it was 32days actually..) and since they have no record on my calls they let one of their employee take it..!? So I mentioned them that I called, that someone didn't do it's job login my calls that this item should be returned to me. After almost 3 months now, several attempt to contact them over the phone and through Hilton customer service, still no follow-up at all! How is that possible? Hilton customer service keeps telling me they did contact the hotel and my issue was solved..???? Whaaat?
I even went there in person inquiring about it and the person at the reception I asked (Marlen Lenendez) looked really annoyed about my demand. Well, excuse me if I am not giving away a $200+ worth headphone ?! I asked her if she could inquire about it now, while I was here (Approximately 2h). I don't think she even tried to help me at all and left her service without even telling me she was leaving? What is that? Don't you have any respect and consideration for your customers?
Anyway, it looks like the management changed and it was not possible to talk with the new management when I came..So now after 3 months trying to solve it internally, my last chance to be hear is to use social medias, and I will make sure everybody hear about my story.
No need to mention that this is the last time I am booking at this hotel.
Nice location near LAX about 2 miles away. Good restaurant and modern rooms. Plenty of valet or self parking. Service was good from valet check in and waiters. In a safe corporate area
I m from Chicago and even though our room is fully paid for Sean the night attendant has left us on the street with no room in LA. My husband forgot his card so I was going to use mine but then my bank blocked it cause we are out of State. The room is paid for the card was needed for incidentals. Then he accidentally took an additional $400 that has yet be refunded from my cash app. So we called the person we were visiting to come to the hotel at 2am to give her card for incidentals. He won t take it all while smiling smugly as if we are not on the street. Meanwhile they still have $800 of our money. Not to mention we can t not stay on the street. So we wind up spending $137 on a room for the night through the friend that came to the hotel to help. Now we are at over $1000 which was our trip. Not to mention he continued to mention how it is at the Hilton as if we haven t stayed in nice hotels before (all while smiling smugly). This is THE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD.
Hotel renovations / repairs to the elevator kept guests waiting for 1 service elevator which we had to shard with staff and big carts. Due to the number of guests, we had to wait 20 minutes in some cases, or climb 6 flights of stairs.
There was no notification on the website or we would have made a different choice.
