Very comfortable beds and pillows, and noticed they don't really trip on guests coming in and out throughout the night which is fantastic.

I like the place. Not a family friendly. There was no sound proof, it was soo audible that i can hear adjustment room noises. Breakfast was excellent - i can give five star for that.
We are in room 417. I m with my daughter Azsane. This room is dusty, dust is falling from the ceiling and the lamp shades. The sham on the beds are dirty. The refrigerator does not work. The bath tub handle is broken, so the water constantly drips. The shower drape is dirty. The bathroom fixtures are completely rusted out. The marijuana smell is overwhelming. To make matters worse, they charged my daughter an extra $50 dollars because their website booked her twice. So we were locked out the room. Also, they charge $20 dollars a day for parking. Do not come here to this hotel. It is in need of some serious remodeling. I didn t even pull the sheet over me, I just slept on top of the sheets. I m too scared. At least Gary at the front desk was nice.
Delicious cookie and free water bottles with HHonors membership.
Not recommended at all. This hotel does not honor being a Hilton Honors member. Front desk, specially Beatriz, was very rude. No manager on site.
No places to eat close by.
Will not stay here again.
Room was great, only thing was we found someone dried out contacts stuck to the bathroom counter which grossed me out, because that tells me the counters weren't cleaned or wiped very well. But otherwise location and price were bang on! Nice place, reasonable parking and always fresh water with cucumber and fruit in the lobby which is much loved on those hot california days!
This is a nice hotel. Comfortable beds and friendly staff. The only thing that you have to know is that for a pickup at the airport, you have to call them. They do not have a regular airport shuttle that runs consistently like many hotels in the area do. Other than that, great stay!
Friendly staff, close to LAX, somewhat dated rooms.
My family and I came to LA for a family vacation due to the fact that we are Hilton Gold members we decided to stay at Double Tree big mistake. We had to bring our luggage up 5 flights of stairs, then they didn t have any towels we had to use the big towels, the stuff was very nonchalant about getting us any soaps or towels. I m very displeased this Double Tree DO NOT represent the Hilton brand at all I will be contacting cooperate.
Close to grandkids, airport. Also clean and friendly.
Do not stay here if you want what you would typically expect from any other hotel. The lighting was terrible inside the room and inside the bathroom. No overhead bathtub light. Not enough light to get ready. When we complained to switch rooms we were told that this has a standing shower but instead were given a room that was exactly the same as before but this had an even dirtier bathtub and carpet stains.
Yes sure they try to accommodate and give you their well known cookies but when you're moved 3 times and told each time that it would be better and it's exactly the same, eventually it gets old. The only thing that was good about this stay but the hot shower and free breakfast. You also have to pay $18 for parking. Nope
Clean and updated rooms. Friendly staff that will go the extra mile for you during your staff. Super close to LAX and easy to get to the beach.
Need more airport shuttle. Shuttle was late to and from airport. The hotel had one running shuttle. The rooms was ok the bedskirt was ripped. Staff was nice so I'll give it a 3.
It was a nice sleep/stay at it and the bed is so comfertabel and a really big tv
We had the worst experience ever at checking into your motel. The lady that checked us in Wendy was extremely rude didn't offer
us your renowned cookies and said that I didn't have breakfast included and asked to see my email. Which I then had to search through
and find to show her. She didn't apologise. And when I gave her my credit card she said it didn't work yet it did have sufficient funds in it.
And I had to use another one.
When we finally got to our room the key cards didn't work and we couldn't get into our room so I had to go down to the front desk to
get them activated.
When I went back up to our room the room smelt of strong diesel fuel which was coming from a generator down outside on the ground. And the room also did not have city views which I also paid extra for on bookings.com for. So I was not impressed at all that I had to go down to the lobby again.
When I got back down into the lobby Wendy was rather rude and was arguing with me telling me that is the room with city views and I can
assure you it isn't room 420 she said I can give you another room and if you don't like it and can cancel your room and you can go elsewhere. Who would do that.
So I went back up to room 420 where my husband had been waiting for me with our luggage and the cleaner was very apologetic with the smell in the room and reported the problem with the exhaust fumes from the generator below.
My husband and I was so annoyed with the attitude of the staff member at check in with how she spoke to us and treated us that we just didn't want to stay there at all a very unpleasant experience.
The manager did try and solve the issue but the damage had already been done. As we were very upset at this time. So she said she would cancel our booking for us.
That night I logged onto my both bank accounts to make sure of charges being taken off of our card. And seen that my first card that I used had a pending amount for the whole amount so it had working and my second card I used had a withdrawal for the full amount not a pending amount. So what did Wendy do at check in???
After this very bad experience we are turned off of ever staying at and Double Tree by Hilton ever again. We have been treated 100% better at motels that are a 1/4 of the price.
Staff was very friendly, but only one of the 3 elevators was working. (pics are the view from the hotel room)
Location good
Parking not so easy
Facilities good
Bathroom shower faucets could've been better.
The manager was very nice and accommodating. However, the room (626) had not been properly cleaned and sanitized.
The bed sham was nasty, the air conditioning unit was filthy and the refrigerator wasn't clean. I even found a left over container in it.
The carpet needed to be replaced, as well.
It's very low-brow there.
The manager did have a clean sham sent up and the refrigerator was cleaned.
Parking is not free. Wi-Fi is available.
We have been loyal doubletree annual users for park and fly. No more. Our room was filthy. Carpet very dirty. No tub stopper so maintenance had to be called up at 9pm. The shower hot/cold dial was falling off the wall, gross grout. Frayed carpet. Pretty pathetic.
Now, the shuttle is every hour, not half hour. Our shuttle driver was told numerous times Hawaiian airlines. To save time, she drops everone at the arriving gate. Except she said here's Hawaiian, but no, it was terminal 1, NOT terminal 5. We had to walk the entire perimeter of the airport schlepping luggage to reach our flight. If we had been the least bit late or in less physical condition, we would have had to get a cab. Totally unacceptable.
Then, after a lovely vacation, we call for pickup about 1020pm. We sat out there for over an hour, called 3 times, then was told we were bumped for a corporate pickup. We finally paid $20 bucks for a cab. With a 2 hour drive ahead of us, this was not the way to end a trip. No more will we stay here..
This place was awful. Nothing like the pictures online. Not only did the elevator's not work the service elevators we were asked to use had expired inspection. There were stains on the carpet. And when I complained I was told they were in the process of renovation which was not mentioned online. We were moved to a nicer hotel and refunded. But that was not the experience I was expecting visiting L.A for the first time .
Hidden jewel. I felt at home. Can't wait to return.
Hotel seemed nice at first, but came back to my room one night and there were ants everywhere! Hotel staff didn't seem to care and I still had to ask to get my room changed. Manager said "oh its just ants" when she came to look!! Makes me think this is not unusual...
very good place to stay. the bar has excellent food.
I checked in August 7th and there was only one elevator working and it was taking a long time to go up and down and it was always full with people . It was a strong smell of marijuana. The floor where I was supposed to stay at had a strong smell of marijuana as well. Next to the room was load music playing. I went down to the front desk and told Maria who is a supervisor. I asked will my money be refunded once I find a different place for that night and she said no worries. I found a different hotel for the night of August 7th. It s been a month and my money are not refunded and nobody was compassionate about my issues or trying to help me. The general manager, mr Tim is ignoring my words and saying that none of the front desk agents are recollecting about that night , about my issues and about that I was promised a refund. Nobody wants to help me.
This was my first time in California! It was a pretty nice hotel I have to say. Not a huge fan of the area though. It's not what I would call dangerous, but maybe just a little sketchy. The interior of the hotel was very nice and modern and the room was nice as well. I came when California was stuck right in the middle of the very bad drought. I'm surprised there weren't any water rations when I was there. The breakfast was also of good quality. It wasn't your typical hotel breakfast of plastic eggs and other tasteless foods. This food was real and tasted good. Kudos to you for the good breakfast!
I wanted to be impressed with this property...but honestly i was underwhelmed
A very nice hotel to book in for your visit to LAX. Very nice treatment from Staff.
Clean new rooms. Polite and helpful staff. Great stopover for business travel.
The room was pretty dated and not all that clean. Worst part was the cold shower in the morning and the less than mediocre breakfast.
Kind of dated, check in process requires you to take parking permit back out to your car after you check in. No room service menu in room.
We recently holidayed in LA. We opted for double tree as it was close to the airport. The staff was very friendly and inviting. The room was very neat and clean. The room service took care and did the best job every day. The amenities we're easily reachable like the parking lot and pool and the gym. Loved the stay all together.
Rooms are v old. Need renovation. Internet speed is very slow
Had a room for 4 with a decent amount of floor space and one bathroom. It was a corner room on the second floor that faced the street and a daycare. Good air conditioning but the mattresses were a little firm. As always, the warm cookies at check in were delicious!
Nice place with early shuttle service to the airport- make coffee in your room though because the lobby doesn t have it until 6am!
Overall great place to stay. Hotel is well kept and clean. Staff is quick to act for customer satisfaction. Breakfast had plenty of options.
Good after work happy hour location, love the cookies.
Good Cookies clean rooms. Breakfast was overpriced, but they gave me a voucher so I can't really complain when it was free for me. Only real complaint is that housekeeping turned off the air conditioning during the day, but I'm sure if I talk to someone I could prevent them from doing that in the future 4 out of 5 Stars seems right
I got it because I really needed it but the price is a tad bit expensive for the quality it's not bad but it can be better has some nice feel quality but really improvement is key , monitoring the guest and enforcing rules of pandemic response would be key. Otherwise something I needed for this time of need
Parking is an issue here ... sure it's free, but I ended up having to park on the 10th floor of the garage across the street, after the lot directly next to the hotel filled up.
Driving up 10 stories is annoying, especially when I could stay at the Hilton <1/2 a block away, and park next to my room.
That said though, the view from the top of the garage is one of the best views of LAX at night that I've seen.
The elevator were not working. Carpet smelling. Front lobby very plain nothing like pictures .
Worst Hilton property I ever been not even close to any other Hiltons. It's more like large motel.
Didn t like the service they can careless what is working in their rooms
Magnifying mirror light was not working
Closet door get stuck everything you open or shut them.
The front desk personal is rude.
Restaurante personally are good though.
Just checked out and we paid for vallet parking $18.00 and there was no one to bring our car so we had to get it our selfs.this happened services times. BAD SERVICE paid $400 for 2 nights
I don't know where to start I just had an overall bad experience from the Careless attitudes and Unprofessionalism I experience while being here I been wanting to leave since I got here let's just put it that way........what cracks me up is the managers name had the nerve to be perfecta?? Please. If I come back to LA I will never stay at the Doubletree hotel
Nice quiet rooms right next to the airport with shuttle. A family somehow forgot theory luggage at the hotel and the shuttle turned around which was rude to the other passengers, but its a weird situation to be in as a driver. I hope he got a good tip from them because the other passengers were upset.
This room was nice and cozy and let me just say this the AC worked amazing. Lol, my sister had us in there freezing you would of swore you were some when in Antarctica ! But really this place was awesome except the $15 a day for parking but that's all the hotels within proximity.
Clean rooms, comfy beds and staff was professional.
The bathtub had some mud which smells so bad. Called front desk several times but all they say is we will send someone to take care of it soon like 2 hours ago. They dont even put us in another room. Worst decision to stay at double tree by hilton at el segundo.
Worst services.
Definitely not recommended. Better to stay in your car.
I will not stay here next time! For some reason I didn't get housekeeping, I had to ask for towels, toiletries, run out of toilet paper, garbage containers were full, issues with toilet it was just so much that instead of enjoying my vacation it became a nightmare. Plus hotels needs a renovation
I had a reservation with this Doubletree since January. The chose to tell me just now that the shuttle service to LAX has been discontinued. Their shuttle combined with Park and Fly is the #1 reason we stay here. I cancelled and will be staying elsewhere. If you need an LAX shuttle you better look elsewhere.
Great cost benefit for one night before your flight.
Very disappointed. Room smelled musty, refrigerator was making a loud buzz, curtains and shower curtains had stains, windows were dirty as hell, stains on bedsheets and pillows, as well as carpets. Come on Hilton, you can do better.
My husband and I visited Los Angeles to see a Urologist Specialist and decided to stay here for the night, we were very please with our experience. The Front Desk Staff was very friendly, hotel is close to the airport however you do not hear the noise from the Airplanes. Great location to nice restaurants, shopping and freeways and free parking ( Veggie Grill for vegetarians ). Street noise level is none on the Weekend but Weekdays there seems to be more traffic passing by the hotel with minimal noise with dark curtains open wide. I will definitely stay here again if I visit LA again. 18 minute drive to LA downtown
Everything about this place is great. Starting from the free parking, the service; a welcome with warm chocolate chip cookies in a cold night was great. The room nice and clean. Will definitely stay there again.
As a 3-stars hotel the hardware of the hotel room has nothing to be complained. If only the room has a master electricity switch near the bed, and a TV which can stream Netflix and YouTube would be greatly appreciated. I was disappointed that they were no longer offering their signiture welcome cookies which I've always enjoyed. Other services like airport shuttles, everyday room cleaning (ulon request) were cancelled.
The bed is a bit soft for me. Staffs are friendly n nice.
They charge for barking but do not let you know until you get a charge 3 days after you Che k out
Of all the hotels we have been calling in Los Angeles (near the airport) it is by far the best. The staff is super nice, the prices are not much higher than average (anyway hotels are relatively expensive in the US). An excellent choice the Double Tree!
Rooms were bit old. Staff were professional. They handled our issues (we had few issues with rooms) even it took awhile. Heated swimming pool and hot tub was awesome! Gym was clean with nice space. Breakfast buffet was very minimal for Hilton hotels that I know... Cookies at the front desk were always nice treat.
The hotel is an interesting blend of old and new. It is very obvious that the base structure is pretty old, but they did some extremely good internal renovations to make the place interesting and trendy. I did notice here and there that some of the renovations are not the highest quality (like loose faucets/tub faucet, some small furnisher issues) but overall the renovations seem great quality and pretty expensive. Food is extremely expensive so if you are not being covered by a company, expect to pay about 20 bucks for pickup from there restaurants or 25 for room service per person for breakfast and a little bit more for dinner. Staff was pretty good other than them forgetting to call me when my food was ready. I would recommend this place overall but perhaps feel that unless they fix all the small issues, it's hard to call this place a luxury hotel. But it is pretty close to it!
Your paying for the location, it's ok. Nothing bad just a little dated.
Cookies PERIOD! Staff was awesome! But cookies seal the deal.
Stayed here for a conference across the street. Nice modern room with all the amenities you'd expect. Free shuttle from airport.
I Stay in Hilton chain hotels a lot, bad mattress, bad service, staff not accomodating...and all of it gets blamed on Covid. Oh and no shuttle...
You have to pay for parking on to of the room rate. But, the people were friendly and the rooms were clean and in good shape. Very close to the defense contractors in El Segundo.
My partner and I visited this hotel with our nephew; who was traveling to play football.
The first night there the hotel did not have hot water. The receptionist told us it would be fixed within an hour, which would have been approximately 11P.M. Yet and still the hot water was not working. I went back down and asked them how long would it be until the hot water would be working, and we were informed that a engineer was contacted to service the hotel and the hot water would not be working until the next morning. Since it was already late we decided to go to bed in hopes the hot water would be working in the morning.
By the next morning the hot water was still not working. My partner and I explained our concerns with the receptionist and told them we d be checking out if we returned to the hotel and the hot water was not working because it was mid 50 degrees in California and my nephew, especially, needed to shower since he d been playing football all day. We packed up our things and left the hotel.
Before returning to the hotel I called the receptionist to ask if the hot water was running, and the receptionist said it was working. It was almost 9P.M. when we returned to the room and guess what?!?! The hot water was not working! I went back down stairs and again explained to them our frustrations and the lady at the desk nonchalantly told me there is nothing else she could do. We checked out!
This hotel had the nerve to charge us for the night we didn t stay and the nonchalant lady at the front told me, I have to charge you because you re checking out at 10P.M. I told her that isn t right, and it s not my fault the hot water isn t working, and if you had told me it wasn t working before we returned we wouldn t have come back. They offered 5000 points and accommodated us for the parking, however I was NEVER interested in cutting a deal. I wanted a refund for the night we did not stay, which I thought was fair.
I called their corporate office and filed a complaint on December 20, 2019. I was promised to hear back from them within 72 business hours, which I didn t. I called them back today, December 30, 2019 and the lady there told me the hotel offered me 5000 points and accommodated the parking, which I explained to her again that I was not interested in a deal. The hotel didn t have hot water, and it s not my fault the hotel fell short of our expectations. We had to leave this hotel at 10P.M. at night just to find a hotel to take a shower. We were in California for 48 hours at this point and hadn t been able to take shower, and it was cold outside.
The corporate office issued a check for a refund for the night we did not stay because the hotel was not willing to refund us. Never again will we stay in any hotel owned by Hilton or their affiliates. I hope this review helps someone.
It's a great hotel. The ambiance was just fine and it was nice and quiet.
The little amusement is the slow elevators. You've been warned.
We got the room with the double beds. I don't know why the double beds felt smaller than normal. If yer sharing, prepare to get awfully cozy.
The U-serve breakfast meal was delicious and the staff was pleasant and helpful.
I'm still questioning the size of the beds tho.
Remember to ask for your Doubletree cookie and get an extra for me.
Not good especially for the price. Rooms are kinda beat up. Carpets old. Really ghetto and ratchet. They also charge a deposit that they seem to forget to tell you about. You're better off at motel 6. In fact you're better off sleeping in the car.
No airport shuttle. After booking on 3rd party website, wouldn t let me check in due to being from out of state and had no warning. Was stranded when arrived and the front desk was the worst customer service I ve ever experienced! Do Not stay here!
They didn't find my reservation, they sent me one night to Residence Inn Redondo Beach and said they would have my reservation tomorrow
Absurd and regrettable I do not recommend to anyone. Don't miss your night's sleep.
The mistake was from the hotel itself !!
They didn't put it in the system!
I love this hotel me and my son's father come here quite often
Location is good for meetings in the office park in the vicinity. Walking distance to a lot of offices plus walking distance to many quick places to eat. The place could use some renovation in the rooms though.
This place is great! The staff is friendly and the value is good. Clean rooms and comfortable beds.
Hilton Honors Floor is really clean and so are the rooms. The pool is pretty nice too.
Stayed weekend of super bowl. Didn't know if breakfast was included. $ 19.95 each person . Pool is cold, hot tub closed for renovation they say til mid month, staff was great cookies at check in were delicious. This hotel is in a business district, quiet on the weekend
5 Tips to Improve This Hilton
Although the Hilton Brand is well-reknowned throughout the world, their standards can range from sub-standard to exceptional.
If I was an owner anything less than exceptional would be unacceptable at any location. However, I was a guest and surely could not be converted to an owner.
PROS
Fast, respectable check-in.
Pleasant employees and professional in their appearance.
Located near corporations and businesses, so riff raff is minimum.
Decent prices at last minute.
Safety practices posted everywhere.
Small refrigerated in the room.
CONS
Clean the carpet! The pandemic offered plenty of time to update and upgrade. Guests keep your socks and slippers-on.
Stop Price Gouging! A coffee and two apples was $10.99, really? I have two kids and needed to knock off the hunger pains until we checked out.
Help. I'm Stuck! The slider on the bathroom doors were shameless. The door woukd get stuck and we had to call out for help. I have no words except WD-40 or change the doors.
Toss the Pool Furniture! In a nutshell, gross. I'm a frequent hoteler at locations throughout the world. The current furniture basically let's guest know you are "unwelcomed and don't enjoy the pool."
Paint the pool/dining area. Was there a water leak and the owner forgot to paint. It's unspeakable to see walls with water steaks. Did home depot run out of paint?
