Great service, friendly people.

Great service, friendly people.
Very clean and staff is very polite & welcoming so glad I chose this hotel. Only small issue I had was my reservation was scheduled separately into 2 different stays was pretty inconvenient for the staff & guest which is myself but everything else was great !!

Lived with a friend for 8 nights. Disappointment is complete.

2. The smell of marijuana is everywhere in the hotel.
3. Several elevators hav, but in fact only one works. And wait you ned at least 10-15 minutes.
4. It was a failure in cleanliness, even the garbage was not taken from the room, every time I had to ask to clean the room.
5. Pool fuuu , dirty. I asked to clean it, two men started doing something, but it didn't get any better. The filter most likely does not work at all. Especially during a pandemic, I don t understand how it can be done.
7. The only plus of location and parking, everything.
8. The hotel doesn't even deserve 1 * !!!

Stayed in 219. Bathroom door does not shut well and therefore not lockable. Bath tub drain was slow. A 10-15 minute shower will leave you standing in 1-2 inches of water. Other than those issues, stay was pleasant. Airport shuttle to hotel wait times was about 15-20 minutes on Saturday evening.

This hotel must be the very first Double Tree ever. The rest rooms don't have fans and the shower is clogged. Had to shower in 4 inches of water. The bfast is absolutely horrible. Instant eggs, overcooked bacon and crispy sausage. You pay $17 for a terrible bfast buffet with 20 or so tasteless items. I found another hotel.

What a mediocre hotel. We spent the night and flew out of here. The shuttle service as okay but only runs every 30-60 minutes. The hallway to our room smelled awful but the odor was not in the room. The staff was okay... Price seemed high for the quality. My wife grabbed a pastry before leaving at 5:50 am (breakfast starts at six) and was yelled at by one of the staff... There were no signs saying the area was still closed...

Good location that is comparably priced. The rooms could use an update, but they were comfortable. The pool was closed for renovations, but the jacuzzi was open. The bar has good service.

Two very important things to keep in mind about this property:

1. There is NO direct airport shuttle. They order you a free Lyft from the rideshare area at LAX, which you made need a separate shuttle to access from some terminals. Website is not transparent about this.

2: Rooms are extremely dated, drab, and overall uninviting. Only nice thing is the big TVs

Everything else is fine...breakfast, staff, etc. You can walk to some restaurants and it s a quick ride to Manhattan Beach.

The lobby is nicely renovated but the rooms aren't. Stayed at a 4th floor room and the bathroom walls had black stain on them. The wifi dropped a few times at night. The worst of all is that the wall is super thin and next door's TV was blasting the whole night into 12am. I called front desk about them around 11pm and they said security will be sent to talk to them. The noise stopped at 12am. Guess what, aroudn 4:30am the loud TV noise is back up. This is a terrible place to stay for the super thin walls and I don't know if security actually did anything. Will never come back. Also, the diamond benefits suck here, points and breakfast. Usually other doubletree have water bottles included for Diamonds or have water in the lobby. This one has none of that.

Hotel is super expensive and the hotel is so old, dirty, the elevators where not working properly. The carpet inside and outside our room had hige stains. Will NOT return or recommend. The breakfast was the only good thing, it was included for the same rate, but on weekdays they remove it at 9am which is still early.

Don't know what was worse...... continuous smell of weed smoke , using the service elevator because all of the elevators were broken, the room smelling like the 1980s or the fixtures that were broken. Serious upgrades are needed. This was like a motel on the highway.

They left me stranded at the airport for an hour after I gave a specific description of my location (between pillars 5A and 5B), and the shuttle was the reason I booked the hotel. When I finally got picked up, the driver told me I should have been at 5F, even though no one mentioned that, and all they did was tell me to stand under the red hotel shuttle sign - there are several, and I was standing under one of the signs. When I arrived at the hotel, the receptionist just pretended like nothing happened and no one apologized.

The next morning, I took a shower in standing water because the drain wasn't working. Since the front desk was not helpful previously, I called the corporate customer service number. They said they would knock off $100 and comp my breakfast for the previous day's inconvenience so I decided to continue my stay. I don't think this would have happened if I tried to resolve it at the front desk.

The second morning, I discovered a rotting lemon floating in the coffee pot that I had used morning and night for the duration of my trip (picture included). I reported it and she asked if I wanted them to do anything - I said at a minimum I wanted a new coffee pot. She said they would send someone up immediately.

I got back tonight and they definitely hadn't because there's still remnants floating around in the water reservoir. Basically it seems like no one here cares unless you escalate things. I don't think I will get sick from the lemon, but it just seems like there is no attention to detail or customer service at this place. Would not recommend.

Came here power was put when I got back. People working were nice and helpful only reason I didn't knock it to 1 star.
But no other help from Corp besides wait or get another hotel is awful... should have been compensated.

The customer satisfaction was below this rating. At the time of my check-in all they would tell me is what they could NOT do and did not give any other options. Long story short, I was not informed of the $100 per room, per night deposit by the customer service center rep. So that was a shock , but with that I received unprofessionalism and sarcasm from the 2 ladies at the front desk (neither one had visible name badges).
We started out with only 1 elevator working to No elevators for the entire building and we were on the 7th floor.

Be careful here! They are not much interested in your opinions, probably because they get a lot of traffic from LAX people. My wife and I just stayed there. Two bottles of water were given gratis; one was very clear, the other cloudy and the top apparently already opened. I was not happy! a refill? a hostile act? who knows. Called room service for a new one and asked the person to let the manager know. Never heard a peep of apology or acknowledgement from the manager.
The next day we were in our room several occasions to change (a graduation) but mostly gone (8 to 9 hours!) and the room never was cleaned or beds made: nada). Again, I asked the hotel to let the manger know. Never a peep of apology or acknowledgement.

They just don't care about you at this hotel . The Hilton name has fallen hard and low. Any bright spots? Yes, Juan in the restaurant--wonderful person. And the pool &spa are nice.

The carpets is disgusting, the bathroom door is a fire door that doesn't stay open without being propped, the blankets were stained, my iron and ironing board were propped up against a wall, the digital key didn't work for the gym, the parking lot exiting method was so convoluted, I had to repark and get out of the car to ask at the desk, only to be told something completely counter-intuitive (push the silver button).

I stayed here for a seminar and although all the employees and front desk are awesome and so friendly the rooms have the worst lighting ever, even in the bathroom, the showerhead was very old so taking a shower was not enjoyable at all (which I look forward to at hotels)

My family and I stayed here a few days ago. Location is south of LAX in a quiet, office building enviornment. Parking is free (probably why we chose it, as parking fees can be steep around the airport). There was plenty of parking spots.
The hotel offers king bed rooms or rooms with two double beds. This is unusual because most have two queens... with two adults and two kids we were cozy. The beds were very comfortable.
One feature that I appreciate in hotels are USB ports. There were two on the nightstand and two on the desk along with two outlets on each.
The hotel staff was friendly and professional.
We used the hot-tub in the evening and the pool the next day. No complaints.
We did not eat at the hotel.

Very comfortable and quiet place near LAX and venues near by. Prices have gone up fairly quickly in the area the past few years. But they're competitive with competing hotels in the area, especially if you qualify for a special rate, such as AAA.

The beds, accommodations, and service was excellent. After my flight was cancelled, I had to find a way to stay indoors while my funds were stretched to the limits by another hotels exceedingly high deposit. Neither one of my banks would help me access funds that I had available but didn't have cards for, but the staff at double tree worked with me to make sure I was taken care of and it made a huge difference in my stay in Los Angeles. I plan to become a Hilton Honors member specifically because of this experience.

This Hotel was dirty and not cleaned: when we checked in the toilet was dirty, the carpet looked filthy. I was more concerned with the beds because it seems as if they didn t change the sheets or blankets. It smelled of marijuana even though the no smoking policy. The pictures are a scam.

It was well priced. Easy to book, if you sign with HHonors you can check in and choose the room you like online yourself! When you arrive you get a warm chocochip cookie. The amenities is complete and the place is clean. The wall was pretty thin, and we were woken up 6am by next room girls chatting loudly. Otherwise it was a pleasant stay.

I have had better stays, there was a party going on downstairs in the lounge/pool area. We were on the 4th floor directly above the outdoor patio, when we looked out the window we can see the party. Our window opened but the window was not able to close all the way so we can clearly hear the music, conversations and kids screaming even if we closed it as best we could. We were moved to the 5th floor where the window was not able to be opened. We could still hear the music, but with the AC and TV on, it helped drown it out. Unfortunately, there were ants in the bathroom, which was unpleasant. We've had nicer stays in this hotel, we came for our wedding anniversary, it is sort of an unofficial tradition, but it was just unpleasant enough that even though it wasn't bad to give it a negative review, we will look elsewhere next year to find a new place to start a new tradition. The staff was very friendly and helpful though.

This hotel is below average. Rooms are just okay. The restaurant is so-so. WiFi is frequently poor. And don't try doing anything non-standard... staff tends to mess it up. Embassy Suites is a much better choice.

Location from LAX is great although there are no shopping or restaurants nearby. We were greeted nicely and received one cookie for being Hilton honors member (although we were two guests.) I upgraded to city view and got a room on the second floor corner. Don t spend money for the city view, all you see is the street. So the biggest problem I had with this room was the bathroom. First of all, i was not able to close the sliding door throughout my stay, everyone had to hear each others business. The sink was clogged, the shower handle was broken, there was a razor cap in the shower, and I found a spider on our towel. I let front desk know and they offered to fix it while we were gone for the day. We got back to the hotel room and NOTHING was done. We let front desk know again during our checkout and all we got was extra cookies and an apology. Won t stay here again. We understand that sometimes it won t be perfect but staff offered to fix it and it wasn t done and nothing was offered for the inconvenience.
Pros: THE POOL! Huge pool, sooo relaxing. Breakfast was good too.

Stayed here for a Leisure weekend in LA. The lack of communication and miscommunication started to get to me on this trip as I was told different things by different staff members and it could have put a real crimp on an otherwise amazing weekend.

Trying to schedule a shuttle from the airport was about as relaxing as getting a cavity filled. You need to already be at your destination airport to schedule a pickup which is fine, however, I ended up waiting well over an hour before getting picked up and the van wasn't even marked with the hotel information. The shuttle back to the airport was even less comfortable because the driver was on the phone the whole time complaining to her coworkers about the hotel not updating guests on how to get rides.

The included HOT breakfast served in the dining room was amazing. Day 3 was the only day that I went down and there was very little food left on the buffet. I really liked being able to order eggs fresh made my way.

The great debate regarding which hotel chain's beds are most comfortable was officially decided by me on this weekend that it's the competitor's beds that I prefer.

I didn't like being in an adjoining room as this made it really loud for us (a single couple). Didn't really care to hear the crying baby all of the time.

I had requested early check-in which was told to me on the phone, the day before travel, that I was on this list. However, when I arrived to check in, I was told they didn't put you on an early check in list until you arrived.. Incidentally, It did not take them long to get a room ready for me, however, if it had taken less time for my commute from the airport to the hotel, who knows when I'd have gotten my room.

I asked for late check out and again, I was acknowledged and advised they had me down for late check out. Slightly after noon on check out day, they were calling the room to see if I was extending my stay and I advised them of my late check out. They advised they had no record.

I have just begun to start staying at the Hilton brand Hotels and hope this was not what I should expect going forward.

Stayed here in early June , was greeted by a extra friendly lady who was professional, courteous had a great smile & made sure I was taken care of. One employee at the front desk in particular had issues with being professional & maybe some insecurity issues & tried his best to ignore me -non factor:-) . The room was better than I thought it would be, cookies complimentary to guests were SO DELICIOUS. The bathroom was nicer than I thought. The channel lineup on the tv was nice & parking was FREE. Would be better if there were more spaces .... I Come to Los Angeles quite often so I will be back at the Doubletree.

Old room (suite) in serious need of updating, overall the place appeared dirty. Inefficient and frustating breakfast buffet and service for the amount of people. No option to order fried or poached eggs, omelets, pancakes as you do in other Hiltons for the same price (20.00).
