Equally bad post sales services
Just 8 months in with a brand new car and i start having issues with the hybrid system. I bring in for service.. No call back no status update.. Finally after consistently calling for a day and a half i get hold of one person who tells me "oh, your car is fine but i can't arrange for pick up right now.."
Its now 2 days without my car nobody cares to give a call back or atleast tell me if i need to uber to come pick up my car..

Feels like all they care about is making a sale.. Extremely poor customer service.

Had to bring my car in for something covered under warranty. I was thrilled and continue to be amazed with the excellent service this location provides. I was given a rental for the entire duration of the work, quote options on winter tires, shuttles to and from the rental place. Super quick and prompt service and a true essence of team work and really being taken care of.

By chance, after a few other experiences with other dealers, I was really happy the way I was treated at Hyundai Don Valley North.
I hope many other customers will be lucky to talk with the same Sales Representative.
I would like to advise Hyundai to help better the dealers: I would like to receive from Hyundai whatever was not deliver at the time of my transaction. Whatever did not exist (not yet !!!) should be delivered for the 2021 January/ February buyers free of charge !!!

Eric Chu from the pre-owned department was amazing to work with. Me and my wife pretty much just went in to look at this used bimmer when we passed by after shopping. The car itself was fine, and Eric had cut me a deal so good we could not find a reason not to take the car. Thousands cheaper than outside! There were a couple problems from the service department on delivery but Eric took care of business and more than made up for those issues, even helped in his own time! Highly recommended.

Just bought a used Hyundai in excellent condition. Had a great experience with Fayaz, who was a genuine and down to earth person. He made sure I understood all of the car features and just simply made car buying an easy experience overall. Tina was also outstanding and very professional - always available to answer any inquires.

Appointment at 2:10, sitting here at 2:57 and my car still is waiting in the same parking spot. If I wanted a 3 pm appointment, I would ve made a 3pm appointment. It is a simple oil change that I am here for. It shouldn t take this long for an appointment. This place is poorly managed to say the least. I only come here cause my car is under warranty. Very little respect for customers time. I do not recommend and would give 0 stars if I could.

This is the second time it s happen. First time, the service manager said he would call me back and never did.

Also, I use a disabled parking permit and they have a car parked without a permit in the disabled parking spot and didn t move when I mentioned it to them.

Edit: 3:16 pm and my vehicle has not moved.

Stepped into Don Valley North Hyundai to buy a used car I saw on auto trader.
I was fortunate to meet Amree from the sales department which helped me and my wife out.
We weren't thinking of buying a new car because we didn't think it was in the budget but with a few questions and answers from Amree he made us realize how affordable a new Elantra GL would be.
I'm so glad he opened up the conversation otherwise I probably would of bought a used car.
I have to admit they have a friendly , courteus staff and down to earth. Definitely recommend it to anybody out there looking for a new or used car.

We had an amazing experience while buying our Palisade Caligrapgy from Don Valley North Hyundai. Mr. Abu Khan is an outstanding advisor and very reliable. The delivery was also exceptionally smooth and on time. There was no delay, not too much of sales push and no hidden costs. On top, we got some good discounts. Manager was also very supportive. Hope we will get the same level of after sales service.

Had a good experience at this dealership and dealt with Spencer Tuk. He was very knowledgeable. Purchased a 2020 Hyundai Elantra - My second Elantra - I drove my first one for 10 years. Disappointed that other than a key chain there were no decent Hyundai giveaways like I got the last time. However the dealership was very clean from a COVID-19 sanitizing point of view.

I had a very bad experience at the service section of this location. They just don't lose any chances to rip you off. Took my car there after battery failure, and after almost 8 hours ended up paying around $70 just for their "diagnosis", and asked to pay another $380 + labor for new battery! I mean come on!!! It's just a damn battery for a regular sedan, not a Mars rover!

Just took the car to Canadian Tire and they replaced it with a regular battery under $150, which also comes with 3 years of warranty, and it took them only half an hour.

Bottom line: dealerships are just legal frauds.

Even requested to make a list a few suv in stock to avoid looking here and there on a cold night spoke to Eric ,even booked online to make sure they knew what I was looking for . I even got a confirmation email to ensure my time would not be wasted. So got to the dealership and Eric had gone home for the day knowing that I was coming! How rude and unacceptable ,so another salesman with I forgot his name was more than willing to help absolutely friendly. And turns out the suv I went in originally to see was SOLD yup I live in downtown toronto to go all the way there no call no warning .like what a waste of my time turn out no other suv was what I was looking for not on lack of salesman so left empty handed. One the good note I went to another dealership about 15 min away AGINCOURT Hyundai and grate service from start to finish and left with my new suv purchased you!

I have been going Hyundai service since 2016 and every year 4 to 5 times a year and every time I call to book an appointment for my each service which I pay around $250 to $400 they book my appointment right away and now because I m a new costume to this location I have to do the recall software update for the engine they don t even talk to me nicely and put u on old to transfer to someone who is not in her office and no voice mail to leave message if they call and when I call back in 5 min after they don t pick up your phone
If it is free they don t want to do the service seriously then why the Hyundai company send the recall paper today I call three Hyundai service locations they just try to put me on old and then no response
If it is about the costumer care and safety Hyundai company should first check their service location to see how they do the service

He used lived video streaming through face time to show me the vehicle inside and out and test drove it for me as well before I drove down to Toronto to test drive it myself. My Elantra developed a overheating problem and Hyu...

My Elantra developed a overheating problem and Hyundai towing towed it to Don Valley North on a Friday night and which was my 1st experience with this dealership. Naturally I was expecting the worst !!!!! Imagine my surprise when I got a call on Saturday to confirm and to let me know my car would be looked at on a Monday or Tuesday. On Monday, Stephen from the service dept kept me updated via text on the status (was a loose hose) and recommended an oil change which was overdue.

I asked if there were other services that "had" to be done and was informed promptly that it was only needing the oil change. I was astounded as that was not my experience with other dealerships where extra services are a fact of life.

Stephen then arranged key pickup with Sales as Service closed at 6 pm and where I had no problems with picking up the Elantra.

I was quite impressed and would very highly recommend this dealership service. The fact that I was updated promptly via text, that no add'l services were billed and they they were flexible in pickup of the car is something that other dealerships should copy.

Thanks again to Stephen and the service dept for their professionalism and excellent work . You have one very happy and satisfies customer in me :-).

Really poor service, we dropped off a Santa Fei for oil change. We were not notified that there were complications till we came back to pickup the car. Was then told to pick up the car two days later as they will have to replace a part. Two days later again, no call either and found out that they couldn't get the part and that we have to wait another god knows when. In total I had to call literally over 10 times before I got to the person that was in charge of our file as apparently no one knows what is going on. And had to drive down 5 times ....

What an experience. I've been driving Infiniti cars for over 16 years and was looking for a change. I took a look at the Genesis website and that's when the magic started to happen. I built the config I wanted, received an online quote and booked a white glove test drive all in about 15 minutes. I say white glove because Genesis actually delivered the car to my house for the test drive. Impressive. That's when I met Trisha Lee for the first time. Trisha is the Genesis sales representative I was lucky enough to have come my house. Not your average car salesperson. Not even close. She was extremely polite, her product knowledge was off the charts, her sales approach was assertive but not pushy and she came fully prepared to sell me the vehicle. I ended up purchasing the G70 3.3T on the spot. The car blew away my expectations and the no haggle pricing strategy was perfect. I took possession of the car today and again, the car was delivered to my front door with white glove service. Trisha once again arrived at my house to take me through all the paperwork and run me through the car's features. It was very important to her that I was comfortable with my new G70 and all the settings were perfectly set. She even wrote my wife and personal thank you card which was a very nice touch. This experience would not have been the same without Trisha. Make sure you ask for her if you're looking to buy a Genesis. Undoubtedly the best experience I've had buying a new vehicle. Thank you Trish and Don Valley North Hyundai for providing such a great experience. Watch out luxury brands. Genesis is coming to get you. Can't wait to see the new SUV.

Purchased a 2017 Hyundai Elantra from this dealership and was helped by Eric. He was forthcoming with information, answered all of my questions and allowed me to bring the vehicle to my mechanic to inspect as well. Came in to do an outright cash purchase on a 2018 ...

Came in to do an outright cash purchase on a 2018 Tucson on condition that I get 3500 trade in for my 2008 Tucson. Brand loyalty and a "blue sale" is what brought me in. They agreed to the offer.

I made the mistake of believing they would charge the price that is specified online with the accessories I choose less my trade in. I signed and am now waiting on my car which is taking 6 days for delivery despite being told it was in their other lot nearby.

I did the simple math, turns out they actually charged me a little over $500 than what the online price is less the $3500 trade in.

I emailed the sales person and was told that the $500+ is a "dealer prep fee" to clean and detail the car and is charged to all customers. A Google search will show multiple hits stating that this is a well known scam and should be avoided.

I feel ripped off. I don't like my experience and regret going to this dealership all the while I have yet to even get my car. I'm sure the car will be fine once I get it with years of reliable use but I lack confidence or trust in this place and find no joy in picking up a new car from this place and once again to pick up/install the back ordered rims/tires that I also purchased.

My fob stopped working on my 2017 Elantra 60,000KM...

My fob stopped working on my 2017 Elantra 60,000KM on Jan 22nd 2020 - I managed to get home from work that day buy turning the car on by pushing the start button
using the FOB. Note the FOB just quit 100% (no weaker range over time) on my commute from work that day.

I came into the Don Valley North Hyundai dealership the next day Jan 23rd about 3PM EST 2020 and described what happend. They said I needed to buy a new battery. I bought the new battery on the spot
(13$ for coin a battery....) and the service rep changed the battery for me. He noticed that the LED light was not working on the FOB after replacing the battery and opened the key again. The rep worked on
it for a bit and then discovered the negative contact (contact from the coin battery negative to the circuit board) was broken.

The rep advised that this part can't be repaired and that i would need another FOB and that it is NOT covered by warranty. We discussed this in lengh (45 minutes) - i advised that the FOB stopped working
completely at once, not over time (so it wasn't a battery just dying), that i never opened the FOB (didn't even know how, nor would i try since i suspected it might void warranty) and would not have
attempted this since the range was great (i could open it from far.. there was no problem). We discussed how the contact was poorly made and clearly not durable enough to serve as a contact over many years
(as you would expect). The three reps at the service desk made up all sorts of scenarios on how the part could have got broken; someone opened it and broke it, it fell, at one point they even said that it
was possible that the FOB was defective from the start but was in working condition and even so they would not warranty it. But the fact remains; an internal part of the FOB was broken without any damage
to the outside, and the part was so innapropriately designed that this should be a warranty item. What is next? If my engine stops working are they going to open it up and see one of their Hyundai parts
broken and then say the same thing? Give me a break.

There is reasonable grounds to warranty the FOB since the internal part was cheap, also the service staff were rude and during the whole discussion tried to implicate me indirectly as the one who broke
the part ("someone" must have broke the clip). Here you have a situation where i liked my Hyundai and i was actively telling my family and friends to get one - so far the car runs great, zero problems
for the last 3 years (although that is nothing to go crazy over let's see if we can get to 10 years. I hope it was worth losing a customer (I won't buy Hyundai again) and i will stop advocating for Hyundai.

A new FOB by the way is 435$ + 49$ programming fee, so close to 550$ CAD for a part that is worth maybe 10$ in total.

Who knows whats under the trunk if they can't even get the FOB right.

I came in with my pregnant wife on a Saturday to look at a specific model they had on their website only to be told that they just sold it half an hour ago. They then mentioned that the car was sold to another dealer and that they could get it back if we were interested. I said yes and they said to call back Monday to come in and book an appointment to test drive the vehicle.

Monday comes along and I call the salesperson during the day (cell) and they mention that they are not working today (they should have told me on Sat or we would have made other plans) They then said they would call the dealer to arrange us to come in and see the car and they would call us right back. They never called back at all.

Even if the car was sold or for whatever reason they couldn't get it back from the other dealer I would have appreciated a call to let me know. It was a total waste of time and very unprofessional. They could have at least mentioned another option. I will not recommend anyone to this location.

Service reception and advisor asked me to fill the envelope and put the key inside, I called them few times at in the afternoon, no one knows where is the envelope and my key. I got pissed off and finally got in touch with the service manager Cato around 4pm, then he finally got car my in and check the issue.

The service I received was phenomenal and the repair looks amazing. Andy did a wonderful job arranging everything and making sure the repair was done in a timely manner. I would recommend these guys to anyone!

Very disappointed. Had visited them for an oil change and back light change. When got back home my brake light socket was hanging out in the trunk almost looked like they put the bulb in and rest was left upto me. I could have changed it myself if that was the case would have been much easier to visit Canadian Tire buy a bulb and replace myself. Not sure how proper was the oil change and my car inspection. Also was told to drive back all the way to get it fixed in a very rude manner... Whatever happened to courtesy and customer service.

I had gone to a few dealers on my own and not had a positive experience with sales people not caring or being too pushy. My parents live close by to the this dealership and had a very positive experience with Eric. I drove down to check out an Elantra and was very impressed with how kind, patient and knowledgable Eric was! Truly, it was a wonderful experience and if you are looking for a car and a wonderful experience at a dealership I would 100 percent recommend Eric Chu. Went there last week to look for an suv and Sam Chen helped us out, this guy was honest and helpful. Whatever questions we asked he just answer straight to the point with no bullshit, no time wasted. He was patient even though we had to do a few extra test drives around the neighbourhood. We loved the Santa Fe XL and he got us a decent discount because there's a new model on its way next year. Picked up the car yesterday and love it, Sam called in the morning to follow up if we liked the car, had to give thumbs up for the great service and accommodation.

I had excellent experience with David when I bought my Elantra. Not pushy and he explained the features of the car pretty well.

Service department is also very good with knowledgeable sales people. I typically do my own oil change and when I bought the oil filter from DVN Hyundai, the sales person reminded me that I also need to get the aluminum washer to use with it. When I bought the rubber mats (very reasonable price of 104 bucks not incl taxes), I was reminded by the sales person to make sure I remove the carpet mat on the driver seat and also to make sure the hooks are fastened.

Service area is clean with free coffee. :) Regarding the car, I think it is one of the best bang for the buck.
