My husband and I recently purchased a new Santa Fe vehicle from this dealership. Garene, our Sales Associate was not only welcoming and amicable but he was also very knowledgeable, informative and thorough throughout the entire process. He wanted to ensure he covered his bases so that this would be an easy, pleasant and successful transaction for us and our family. We are extremely happy and thankful to have met Garene - his customer service skills were impeccable! I would definitely recommend him and this dealership.

UPDATE
As it turns out after returning numerous times I found the dealership and service department to be a big big rip off. Basically scamming me.
I.E. I went in for my first service and told charge was $49.99 upon receiving the service. The invoice was 60 something dollars plus tax. They told me there was a price increase to $59.99 and other various charges. The total come to $75.
I did a little research after. Called other dealers and all other Hyundai dealerships charged only $49.99 for same service.
I called dvnhyundai and questioned the charge only to be rudely brushed off. And that service manager could answer all questions but suspiciously was not available.

I will definitely never go to this dealership again and am thinking of boycotting Hyundai altogether for future car purchases.
In short horrible business practices just trying to rip you off and scam as much as they can.

I wasn t extremely well versed in driving a manual car and Harold went out of his way to give me a few pointers on driving a manual after his shift. I really appreciate his help overall. Great customer service and very patient salesperson! Highly recommend.

Was browsing through DVN Hyundais reviews looking for some reviews on Genesis but all I saw was positive remarks for Trisha so I had to leave one for my guy David Tran. I must say David is the most knowledgeable sales Automotive professional I have ever met. His knowledge and patience was commendable.. I say this as I am quite knowledgeable of the industry and purposely test these "product experts. " I can distinguish right away if they are actual experts, David surely is.. If you can't tell me what the horsepower of the vehicle your trying to sell me then you ain't selling that vehicle to me, period! I ask alot of questions.. Not to take away from his conversational skills that were also top notch. Initially went to Genesis Ajax to see Jerome and had a terrible experience. Word for word when I asked about a vehicle I had booked an appointment to see his response was "I'm busy." Having such an apple to oranges interaction really made my situation stand out. I highly recommend Mr Tran to any potential Genesis owners.

I bought my car here last year and for some reason they declined my application when I want to trade it to a Palisade. I have a 700** credit score and outstanding record in payments. They also lost my car registration and been asking them to look for it and never get back to me. Maybe because they don't care anymore after not able to get a car from them. Though I got a car somewhere else and much better than their Palisade. Steven and Zaven are not reliable. Hyundai Finance poorly handles my application despite that I'm a loyal customer. No more business with you guys. STAY AWAY GUYS.

She answered all my questions and when she didn't know the answer she went to follow up (even on questions that I forgot I had asked) She updated me with phone calls on the wait times for my car and items. Worst experience buying car at Don Valley North Hyundai. Went to see Santa Fe after doing lots of research and comparing it to Honda Pilot. Went to showroom Saturday morning 9:30am. Was greeted and asked about visit and was asked to see Mr. Garene. Explained him need to buy car today and have done research.He showed demo and features. He also told me I can get better price for demo then new car. I told him I dont need to test drive as have used it before. While talking he saw another customer and told me that he has an appointment and have to leave. He asked to wait for another person. She is probably worst customer service person I ever met. Lillian, I asked her I need to get price but started talking about pre-owned, used, other car. She wanted to show us car again and had to explain her multiple times that dont need as Garene has already shown us. She was not able to understand why I want to buy on cash. She gave me MSRP price with tax and I told her I can see this price online also, I need to get best deal. I gave her my price which was almost 6000 ( 48K ---42K with credit card and conditional offer) then original price as advertised by Hyundai. Inform her if have to buy same price then no difference between Honda Pilot and Santa fe. Then manager came to see gave me option to lease again rather then simple thing I told him that I want to buy and dont want to pay interest. That manager just said to me in front of my father that I am wasting agent time and she will lose commission because of my attitude. I told him to be polite and be reasonable, If I am not satisfy with counter it is my discreation to buy or not dont want him to be too pushy. I told him in front my offer is firm if they cant match Ill try another dealer but started telling me I wasted their time and if I am not countering it is wrong ? Also he told me that parts can be missing if somebody is going to offer less. I had to laugh in front of him as I told him I am not trusting dealer for new car. Its Hyundai reputation at stake. He asked us to leave and told us we wasted their time. Not only that when I asked my credit card and driver licence which they took, when lillian bought it from inside told me I wasted her time and never to come back again. When I tried to complaint to another manager I was pushed outside by same manager in polite way, he again said I wasted time. I have multiple cars and deal with multiple car dealers infact test drove even luxury cars but never had any issue with any dealer before. I was surprised by attitude of this girl and manager as somebody who was there to buy and spend less then 30 min negotiating price for better deal is told wasted time of agent and manager. Even honda and audi dealer with firm price never behave like this.

Customer service is absolutely incredible. A few months after a service 3 inspection my car at this location, I had trouble with the engine turning over. I didn't think they missed anything at the service 3 but they were close by my office and I thought I should get them to check.

Turns out the battery happen to have a single faulty cell. They recommend I replace the the battery but only if I felt the battery's current condition was (still usable) more trouble than it's worth. They didn't even charge me for the check up. Even offered a shuttle service and a wash.

They're also very attentive to my car's condition sending reminders regarding recommended maintenance base on the owner's manual despite not purchasing my Elantra here.

In summary: Came in for an inspection that would should have cost me but they decided to waive it. Clearly stated the condition of my car and gave me options on how to proceed. Went above and beyond expectations.

Would definitively recommend others to purchase / service from here.

We purchased a used trade-in from this dealership. Both my wife and I couldn't be happier with our purchase ,(keeping in mind that it was only a week ago)
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Eric Chu was the salesman helping us with the process of buying. We highly recommend him if you want an unrushed and friendly service. Stephen in their financial services Dept. was super helpful as well. We had nothing but words of praise on our way home in our newly purchased car. Check them out.

My experience was nothing short of amazing. From the time I started working with my sales associate (sinthujan Selliah) all the way until I left the lot was so wonderful. He was so incredibly nice. He never rushed me, and he did everything he could to find the best car at the best price that fit for my budget. Would love to do business with him again in the future.

The service provided for me was very excellent. Sam Chen was my sales person, and he helped me through the whole process of choosing the perfect car. He took in what I wanted and gave me suggestions that fitted me very well. Everything was done very professionally, and detailed. Things were very thoroughly explained, so there wasn't any confusion to anything. While I was test driving the car, there was no pressure at all, so I was able to genuinely drive with comfort. The vibe you get once you walk into the dealership is a very warm and welcome one, they have a small but very comfortable lounging area (great for your kids who want to wait), free wifi, a coffee/tea area, as well as some popcorn. The staff are welcoming, and are all eager to help. Overall, this dealership is one of the best I've been to! Highly recommended.

Brought my car in to get something looked at, was told they would order the part and call me back.

Didn't receive a call back, so I called after waiting 2+ weeks and the part was in but nobody called me to let me know. So I try to book a appointment to get it installed ASAP since I wouldn't be in the area after the week was over, they tell me they will look into a available time and call me back.

Nobody calls me back so I call back the following day and again told I would be called back. Once again the service department didn't call me back so I Called on Tuesday and they apologize and say they will look into it and call me back once again, and just like the following time didn't call me back. So I call back once again and tell them that I am in the area and could drop it off in the morning when they open on the Thursday or Friday as long as they can get it done by around 12-1pm. I was told again I would be called back and for the third time was not called back.

I decided to show up on the Friday and see why their staff doesn't return calls and was apologized to again and told I can bring it in on the Saturday and it would take 3 hours but now I would have to drive a hour each way. I waited 1 hour just to see the service rep and it is suppose to be a 2 hour job so I doubt I am getting out of here in the 3 hours I was told.

don't bother bringing your car here.

Unfortunately got a dent in my passenger side door. Came to this body shop to get it repaired. Victoria had provided me the utmost customer experience that I can say I ve ever received. She was so honest, kind and timely with everything she had assisted me with. Got my car back in one day, looking brand new! She even set me up with a rental for the day.

- Purchased a Lexus vehicle from there in May 2018...

- Purchased a Lexus vehicle from there in May 2018. They had not properly setup the TPMS sensors, so when I brought it up to them, they told me to go directly to Lexus DVP (apparently the same owner) to have it done properly. It was not deal breaker to me therefore I asked them if I could have it done on my next maintenance (6 months later) and they had agreed.
- 6 months later, I had already switched out to my own winter tires therefore I had to postpone the TPMS setup again.
- 6 Months later again, I have it done at Lexus and called Hyundai DVP to have it reimbursed. I explain the situation to one of the managers who spoke to me on the phone only to get this response in a rude passive-aggressive tone "So... a year later... Why are you calling me?". I go on to repeat the exact same thing I just explained and ends up telling me he'll speak to the sales rep Eric Chu that sold me the car and get back to me. Another two weeks go by, nothing, therefore I leave the Sales Rep Eric Chu another voicemail, only to be IGNORED AGAIN.

A TPMS setup cost me $40 which is nothing crazy and for a dealership, pennies, but this review is about the kind of customer service I have received. It seems that after they've gotten your money, they won't bother with continuing the customer service they were providing as they were about to get my $30,000.

The staff are nice and professional but i had one issue with the service department where I left my vehicle to have a water leak looked at from the sunroof and when I picked up the car (which is a manual car), im pretty sure they wore off years off my clutch because at first I thought the clutch was disengaged or something. As I was clutching out and trying to put the car in 1st gear, the car would not move forward. I then realized the friction point was way way wayyyy higher than when I had left the car to be serviced. I m not sure exactly what happened but they could not do anything about it because I cannot prove how it was before I left the car there. Understandable but sucks.

If I could I would rank the 0.The worst service ever. 0 transparency and so unprofessional. I have an open work permit that is valid until next year. I specially asked them that only if they could lease us they can check my credit otherwise No. They said multiple times that no there is no problem, you have a good salary, you are giving good down downpayment and so on. They waste 2 hours of my time with filling long long long contract.
The communication was horrible . After 4 days, they checked my credit score and they said it is very good BUT because I have a working visa till next year they cannot lease us. Why they said that is not a problem?

They caused me so so much trouble and don't recommend it at all.

I purchased a Genesis G70 there recently. Car is awesome and David Tran was very professional, patient and thorough with explaining the details of the vehicle and after service; made the entire process very smooth.

Kudos to Genesis Markham and Genesis Canada for making the purchase experience hazzle-free and transparent; definitely something refreshing for the market.

Also, I wanted to praise Chris Han, whom I actually first interacted with when I did my test drive at Genesis Markham. Very polite gentleman!

Looking forward for Genesis to come out with a smaller SUV (the GV80 seems a bit too large) for my wife in the near future.

BSD cancels out on every drive. I get a fun little beep and I get to stare at an orange triangle for the rest of my drive on my dash. Made every attempt to try and get the dealership to fix it on every service appointment but no success.

They acknowledge it is an issue, and even acknowledge it is a common issue. (Check the Hyundai Forums for "BSD Cancelled") But still won't cover it under my warranty because there apparently is no error code. I don't believe you need an error code to see there is an obvious problem.

I was a loyal customer, even with the poor experience buying the car. Went for every service and oil change even though it was quite expensive ($118 for synthetic) because the staff was nice and its close to my office. With the money I'll save going to my old mechanic for oil changes I'll probably be able to pay for the BSD sensors out of pocket.

Lesson Learned: Don't buy a Hyundai, if you do, service it with your trusted mechanic. Extended warranties/insurance are a cash grab. Rust proofing isn't necessary on cars built in the modern day (do your research) Learn from my mistakes!

Sinthujan provided excellent customer service to my family and myself while we were shopping for a pre-owned vehicle. He was very patient, taking us for two test drives and explaining the many details and features of the Sonata and the Elantra. Sinthujan and his sales manager Nash were very upfront and honest during sales negotiations. We came from London to look at some pre- owned Sante Fe demos. They had the largest inventory of any other dealership by far. Mezzie was honest, open and very helpful. She listened to what we were looking for and negotiated a bottom line price for a vehicle we were interested in. It was a very pleasant experience. We would highly recommend her if you are looking for a good deal on a preowned vehicle!

Overall service was OK. Nothing that blew me away. Purchased a 2017 Hyundai Tucson 1.6 Limited in Silver back on May 2017. My sales rep was Spencer. He was pleasant to deal with and made sure that I was satisfied with my purchase. Sam was the finance manager I dealt with, very friendly and not pushy whatsoever. There were a few hiccups along the way. The all season car mats that they gave me had 2 left passenger side mats, I had to make my way back to get them swapped out. Now the issue here is a referral cheque I was promised since I referred a friend of mine to buy a car from this exact dealership and sales rep a few days after I took delivery of my car. Made sure to call Spencer to remind him of this referral. I was promised that it would come in within 1 month. It's been 3 months and.....nothing, not even a dealership survey so I can give them some feedback. I feel that they can definitely do better with fulfilling their promises and not forgetting about their "Valued" customers. This was my second purchase at this dealership and it may be my last, it just seems that I was forgotten after they sold me the car.

I've acquired many premium cars over the years, with most of them being European. But after an exhaustive evaluation I ultimately selected the Genesis G70 AWD Prestige over three other German alternatives. And I really appreciated Genesis Canada's policies and methodologies concerning pricing which is inclusive of all charges and fees, warranty and all scheduled maintenance for 5-years or 100,000 kms, dedicated support representatives, 24/7 roadside assistance, and their Genesis At Home Concierge Service.

But what really made this my best car purchase experience ever was the team at Genesis Markham. It was without question the most enjoyable, least frustrating and most convenient car purchase experience that I've ever had. Jay Goldberg is the General Manager there, has many years of experience in the car retailing business, and really knows how to make customers happy. But wanted to give huge recognition to Trisha Lee there. She has truly been
the most amazing "sales rep" I've dealt with, ever ! But she's so much more than a typical "sales rep". Genesis has created a fabulous new role called the "Genesis Experience Manager", and I think that Trisha is a role model for that position. She's incredibly knowledgeable on the product, very responsive, extremely professional and positive, and was always energetic in pointing out features on the car and answering my questions. In my opinion Trisha provided me with the "gold standard" of customer service.

Bottomline, I highly recommend Genesis Markham, Jay Goldberg and Trisha Lee.

Difficult experience getting information from the service advisor Sean Cheng about the availability of parts for a Front Coil Springs service campaign related to my 2011 Santa Fe (purchased from DVNH). I have been waiting for the front coil springs to be in stock since Jan. 28/2017. Left messages through the Service receptionist 4 times for Sean to let me know and never received a call back from Sean. DVNH wants my feedback on How They Did through email blasts to my email address. Not impressed to say the least. Robert

I have to say, I was never met with more of a comfortable experience in a vehicle showroom than when visiting Don Valley North Hyundai. As I look to purchase a new vehicle for my wife and expecting twins, I turned to Don Valley north Hyundai as the dealership is close to home and easily accessible (off the highway 404). When browsing through the showroom I was met by an individual named Ashkhan who for one, was not aggressive and two, very knowledgeable about the vehicles. What I appreciated was that he was passionate to address any questions I had about the vehicles I was looking at (Santa Fe and Sonata). It gave me the sense that he wanted me to make the right decision for myself and family, and that I appreciate. I think more sales associates should inherit this trait rather than push for a sale right off the bat. Needless to say, I am still looking around (strict budget) but insist that this dealership be considered for your car shopping inquiries. The Santa Fe is currently my likely choice. Thanks Ashkhan and Don Valley North Hyundai.

This was my first time buying car, and from start to finish the employees at Don Valley North Hyundai were great guides.

Especially Sam A, I feel like from our initial conversation we clicked and were able to be understand each other. You deal with so many people from day to day and it's great to engage with someone whose open and honest, through and through. I felt informed and comfortable enough to pull the trigger and buy a brand Hyundai Elantra. My family absolutely loves the car.

Can't thank you all enough, especially since I assumed the experience of buying a car was going to be a hassle and dealing the sales people was going to be an arduous process. It's nice to be pleasantly surprised.

I just picked up my new (pre-owned) 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport, to replace a 2015 Santa Fe. I was a little nervous going into a car dealership during COVID-19, but it truly was a great experience. When I walked in the showroom door, I was immediately greeted by a receptionist who read a checklist of COVID symptoms and whether I was displaying any of them. Once I was cleared, I was impressed by the safety changes they have made to the dealership interior, including spacing everything out. My documents were ready to be signed right away, and my sales rep Garene took me outside to my waiting car. He had already transferred my license plates to my new car. He told me about the option changes from my 2015 to the 2017 model, and I was on my way! They even had it sanitized and plastic protection on the steering wheel and entire driver's seat. Kudos to whoever manages this dealership! It might be a smaller dealership, but they make you feel like a valued customer.

I had a phenomenal experience here. Eric Chu and Susan Su were professional, personable, and very accommodating throughout the entire car-buying journey. Buying a new car is very exciting to begin with, but what I found more important after the process was the feeling that I got a great deal...the feeling of knowing that I got great value and didn't get ripped off. Eric and Team did a great job capturing this and was extremely fair during the "negotiation" process. It's also very clear that this dealership takes customer service very seriously and it shows in their execution to onboard new customers. If I could leave a zero star rating I would for the complete absence of service I experienced with their service department. Called to book an appointment a week prior to take a look at my rattling liftgate and also to deal with a recall I had for my vehicle. I was told both would get looked at. After dropping off my vehicle for my 10am appointment, I was told I'd hear back from them within an hour and a half. 4 hours goes by with no update. I attempted to call for one with no answer at the service desk. Ended up having to drop into the dealership to find out my vehicle hadn't even been looked at yet. TAKE YOUR VEHICLE ELSEWHERE IF YOU WANT TIMELY SERVICE. Also didn't even receive an "I'm sorry" from the service consultant.

If this is your definition of customer service, I regret buying a Hyundai product.

It was a bit hectic dealing with the credit approval and waiting for my vehicle to be delivered to the dealership but the staff was EXTREMELY accommodating and went above and beyond to make my purchase one of the happiest moments of my life. After driving the same vehicle for 12 years - I m truly blessed to be driving around in my brand new 2021 Tucson Ultimate. A HUGE thank you to Run (sales associate) and Susan (business manager) for absolutely everything. Especially Run for coming in on his DAY OFF to get my paperwork in order. Well. This is the first time I ever wrote a review. This experience was nothing but SUPERB. I was contemplating between Mazda Cx-5, Nissan Murano, or Tucson. I just needed an SUV, nothing too fancy. I walked into this Hyundai first simply because it was closest to home. As soon as I walked in, Shawhin assisted me right away and I ended up buying the Tucson from him just after 4 hours! Not because I get persuaded easily. The service was just amazing and I felt like it was the right choice. I bought close to 10 vehicles so far in my life, from Mercedes, Acura, Honda, to Lexus. I can definitely say this was by far the best experience and thanks to Shawhin. First time buying Hyundai and never expected this much satisfaction service wise. Shawhin explained everything clearly and I never felt like I was being pushed to make a rapid decision. If I buy another Hyundai, I will definitely go straight to this guy. Thanks Shawhin!
