Horrible packaging. 49lbs of steel in a cardboard box. No padding or protection. No wonder a hitch arrived deeply gouged to bare metal. Told me to deal with etrailer even though they shipped direct. Etrailer contacted them after I did for the same product assistance. If they won t stand behind their product now, they certainly won t in the future. I ll go different manufacturer.
They sent me a defective wiring harness. All of the lights except the running lights worked. Turns out the pinout was wrong even though it was the correct harness for the car. I called them at 7:30 at night and within 10 minutes they were sending me a new one. Fantastic customer service. I will be buying all Curt products in the future, great company.

I have waited about ten weeks before posting this negative review, since I consider it a serious matter to publicly post negative feedback. I ordered a Curt Mfg 56236 trailer wiring kit for my 2015 VW Golf SportWagen. I followed the wiring instructions, but it didn't work. Left turn signal flashed instead of right and both flashed instead of left. I put the car into the VW dealer, who told me the Curt Mfg wiring instructions were incorrect. It was something to do with PWM being confused with 2-wire and 3-wire configurations. A mistake is forgivable. People make mistakes. So I tried calling Curt, who told me to go to the VW dealer. The dealer fixed the wiring, but charged me $349 for the extra work. I wrote to Curt and asked them to repay me $349, but they did not reply. What do you do when you get wronged by a big corporation? As other reviewers have written, Curt blows their trumpet on their web site. But it's all BS. They know they've done wrong, but they ignore me and hope I'll go away. They also know I am a nobody who can't really hurt them. The story of David and Goliath comes to mind, although I believe David eventually won.
So how about it, Curt? Why don't you retrieve the email I wrote on 30 September 2020? If you've deleted it, I can send it again. If your wiring instructions had been correct, I would not have needed to go to the VW dealer in the first place. I would like my $349 please.

Got here with a load of sheet steel at 1:50 p.m., there was 3 trucks ahead of me, now it's 4:30 and I'm half unloaded. So they aren't the fastest but not the slowest. I understand they are busy but almost 3 hours to unload sure is a clock killer. 3 months ago when I was here they were a little better, probably an hour 15 to unload. Worse part about it is is theres limited room to roll a tarp so you essentially have to roll it up on the trailer. Not bad guys here though so that makes it better.

I purchased a bluetooth brake controller for my 2012 Tahoe. It consistently worked great. Five months later I upgraded to a 2020 Ford F-150. The brake controller with the serial number on the top outside of the connector did not work with the Ford. I called Curt and they told me they had to update the model I had as Ford designs their braking system differently With no questions or concerns Curt offered to send me a new connector at no charge! This is a first class way to run a business. Take care of your customers and keep them for a life time!!!

I remembered why I didn't like delivering steel here. The are extremely slow at unloading steel trucks and the unloading guy is full excuses.
Really ????? Advertising online , commercial, radio , etc..... have interview with great guys that are looking to start a career and learn , but... dont get hired ?????????? Guys that have excellent backgrounds and don t use drugs and just want to start a career don t even get a chance ?! What bs!! Sad unfortunately:( truly sad !

Unfortunately I can not give a negative star. I bought a hitch from them and the welds were horrible. The bolts never lined up and the installer charged me extra to install the hitch. In Sept I contact CS Tyler Helland and he promised to see if he could help reimburse me for the inconvenience. It is December, I have contacted him 5 times and they are still trying to "See what they can do." To make it worse Tyler emailed me the Product # for the trailer lights. He said it was a 56201. Well when I called and said it was missing the power cable he said I really needed a 59201. They refused to send the extra part and so I had to pay more as it was more than a kit price. They Lie and they misinform and they do not care, So much for "buy American."
I have emailed this company for missing parts 4 times with no response. Poor customer service!
