Dockside Inn Review

Love this place. Stayed in the condo family loved it.

Always great service and attention to the guest. Convenient restaurant nextdoor with a fun staff. We're definitely coming back.

This was exactly what I expected for price. It's older but clean & right on inlet waterway. Good place to sleep & shower.

Wife and I wanted a little get away before Christmas Vacation was over and booked Jan 4-6th I love fishing and my wife likes the water view...PERFECT. Captain Joes kept me stocked with bait and the 75 degree weather kept the wife happy. We had a second story inlet room which was wonderful to see the view and watch the boats come and go. We live an hour away so great for some staycation trips. Staff was wonderful. We tried many of the local Restaurants right there on the Island towards the Jetty. We were only happy with Daves Diner Next to Cumberland Farms for Breakfast and the Tiki Bar down on the left. Next trip we will try more places to the West of the Hotel. Great Place with a great Staff and A great View.

the desk beautiful day will help you with everything that they can they will do anything to make you happy the only thing is the cleaning service is not good but if you get a room and you're not happy they will make them clean that room again so it's a win-win situation

Awesome little hotel on the water, docks need updating but the place is clean inside and out.

The hubs and I stayed here a few weeks ago. We stayed in king room facing the water #117. It was a very nice spacious room, the hotel was feel nice, and room was clean. The Over the Edge Bar was awesome!!!! Great food, awesome drinks and bartenders! Everyone so very nice. Great bands as well. However, the website said we would get a breakfast basket but we didnt, but that is ok!!! We are planning another stay soon with the kids.

The service was fast and efficient the food was incredible I highly recommend the crab boil and the oysters crabfella

Couldn't ask for a better location. Staff was very nice. A very laid back atmosphere on the beautiful treasure coast. I would highly recommend!

Great front desk service! Room was clean and had basics (blow dryer, iron, coffee maker, fridge, microwave). Beds were noisy, due to cover on mattresses, but decent. Very good value!

Formerly, a rustic place to stay that was great for dock fishing! Now a place that still advertises fishing docks, plural on website, but not longer allows any entry to any docks for fishing. When asked about the website contradictions it was explained as new owners want to promote boat dockage! Noting no boats whatsoever were docked at end of docks why not open one up for fishing till boats were renting slips, was seen as rude of me for asking! NEVER stay here, as now parking is crazy as well as the new owners rules. Zero stars was unavailable for my August visit, let the owners enjoy their empty docks...complain about truth in advertising to TripAdvisor!

I could not be more thrilled. The staff (especially Lois at the front desk) was so friendly and accommodating. We showed up with no reservations and was desperate for a room and had went to 3 previous hotels with no luck. Lois worked with me to help me and was so kind. She gave us fresh muffins and fruit and helped us find places to dine out. I cannot recommend them enough!! Thanks again Lois!! We will be back!

We came down here for a getaway weekend and to fish. You have always been able to fish here in the past .I walk in the office and there are no fishing signs everywhere! All the guys staying here are complaining! There are snook all over the place and you cannot fish from the property any longer since the be ownership. I'll never be back! Ever!! Who on the hell puts up no fishing signs!! The place is not what it used to be! Stay away!

Room was nice. Was charged $ 38.50 a night to park my boat in a sand lot. Couldn t leave car with boat. Had to leave boat across the street. 58 docks and none to accommodate my boat and still charged me full amount to park it in a sand lot. Last time I stay here.

Not a good experience!! Bed was rock hard!! Slept terrible...Office closed at 7pm and during the night the toliet wouldn't flush!! Called all the numbers listed and no help!! Had to get dressed and go across the street in the middle of the night and 39 degree weather!! Girl at the front desk the next morning didn't seem to care to much...Left message for the owner but haven't heard back!! I would not stay here again!!

very old bathroom , old raggetty kitchen, molding falling down ,tiles are from the 1980s , no stove yet they call it a full kitchen, extremely hard bed, no privacy , good view ,that the only positive

Looks like lots of work is going into the infrastructure, we had a nice stay for a reasonable price and I am guessing it will be even better on our next visit.

The sleeping quarters are pretty good and the pool is really nice parking is horrible and the private beach is like 5 ft wide by 30 ft long if that but if you're looking for just a quick little getaway it's a nice place to go to.

Totally disappointed. I booked this hotel because it advertised a hot tub online. They do not have a hot tub, they have a cold tub connected to the pool. I went to scope out the "restaurant on site" and was told they close at 10pm.. I walked there at 8:55 and they were already closed. Now I'm sitting in the room hungry and bored. It's not a horrible room, it's definitely dated but a whole lot of false advertising going on. I recommend Hutchinson island plaza hotel next door, they have a hot tub, breakfast, it's newer with central a.c. and it's cheaper. A lot of reviews mention fishing, our docks are closed for an unspecified amount of time. :-( I cant even say anything to the front desk because they close at 7pm.

It was horrible. We had a great group of friends having fun and were told we could have no fun. Security insane and customer service none. They could not care at all. Don t go there!!!!

Vary disappointed, spent 212$ for one night to be awoken on a Sunday morning at 830am-9am by the staffing screaming at eachother back and fourth outside my room door. I went to the desk and explained its really rude to be screaming at a hotel so early for staffing. And the lady at the desk called me and my wife a liar that its the guest next to us. Eventhough i walked out and faced the maid's with my eyes. Before going to the desk. So i got upset and just walked out. 20 minutes goes by after i packed my things into the truck i went to check-out. Oh lordy as soon as i walk into the office the lady says "sir i would believe you if you said 8:55am because my maids dont start until 9am" i simply stated ill write my review for my overly priced room to be woken up by the staff and the wife and i to be called liars. Vary disappointing and vart unprofessional with ZERO customer care.

Stay away I was staying here when the new owners took over and when we checked in I told the girl I was not shure we would be staying Sunday but she said no problem you can pay through Sunday and if you decide to leave you can get a refund for Sunday so we decided to leave on Sunday and I went to the office and told another person we are leaving early and I will pay for a late checkout and she can refund the rest of the money and she said no and would not give a reason but I stayed past the checkout time I said that is why you have a late checkout price and she said no so in essence she blatantly stole my money and would not get the owner these girls are crooks and should be put in jail and by the looks of the reviews the place has gotten worse I have been going there for 30 years and will never be back it's a damm shame that the new owners have screwed this place up

Absolutely horrible. The new owner of this establishment made me, my husband, and our friends leave due to family visiting us at the hotel. We thought this was a family orientated place, guess not. Ended up going to Hutchinson island hotels next door, they were such a great place!!!! Never going back to dockside again.

I love Dockside Inn. Been here several times. It has the old time beach feel. Cosy cute little apartments. Ft. Pierce is so great.

Wow. What can I say? I've been to Dockside Inn three times now, and I have an absolutely amazing time each time. Their staff always goes above and beyond. The owners and management are fantastic! The Inn and resort itself is super nice and it's in a great area right by the beach. Furthermore, the food is amazing. If I lived in the area, I'd visit her for lunch or dinner very often. Overall, it's a wonderful place to just get a break or bring the family. I highly recommend getting a chance to experience Dockside Inn.

It was noisy with quite a few kids in the pool and a lot of loud people. The rooms looked clean but the floors were very dirty!!. After taking a shower we walked on the floor and looked at the bottom of our feet and they were filthy. Over priced. If you want quiet and peaceful do not pick this place.

The rooms were clean and spacious. The large stock provided a great location to enjoy both the sunrise and sunset, and we saw many fish swimming so fishing would be a success!

The Dockside Inn & Resort is an excellent place to go and relax. Its so very comfortable, incredibly clean, the staff is very helpful and friendly. We are looking forward to visiting again and again!! Thank you for having a great place to stay that is affordable and easy to get to.

I have been going to dockside for over 15 years I love this place because you could fish on the docks for a pretty good rate but now that they re taking fishing docks away I will probably never go here again. Way to Ruin something good

Such a great place to stay! Right on the Fort Pierce Inlet, this place has views like you would not believe! Very clean rooms and a wonderful staff!

Not everything was clean but it's not the worst I've seen and it's bearable

We came here for the weekend on a friend's recommendation. He has not been here for awhile and didn't realize there was a change of ownership. Fishing is no longer allowed anywhere on the property and no one is allowed on the docks. The room we were in was very run down. Out dated and in need of repairs. The screen to the balcony was unusable. There was no toilet cover. The bathroom is right off the kitchen and what repairs they did do were poorly done. I believe a Motel 6 would be a better value for the money. I would not recommend this place to anyone so please save your self the big disappointment and book a room somewhere else!

Great location, doubt ill ever come back here tho.... cockroaches everywhere and un friendly staff.... security guard was cool and soo was the resturant... i hear its under new management, hopefully they clean house on the hotel side and keep the great staff they have on the restaurant side ^^

Have stayed here yearly for last 5 yrs would stay more often if it was closer to NC or cheaper but its very reasonably priced i can stay for 15 days pay less than 7 days at Myrtle Beach SC

Terrible experience. As a local who has stayed there multiple times, i have never had a great experience there. Recently was banned because we were playing music which couldn't have been loud because it was from a phone. The security guy even called the police and the cops told us that we weren't even being loud.

Nice rooms, but the restaurant nearby (also part of the hotel) is extremely loud late into the night. Also, the lobby closes at 7 (which is not mentioned on their website), which was a huge hassle to deal with.

It sounds like Jordan and I had a very similar experience. We too were banned along with several other couples that I know of. We are locals and have been going there for a couple years to celebrate the 4th. We had the police called on us while four adults were having dinner, our kids played and had a small speaker playing music. I think the police found it amusing but we were told if they had to come back again we would be asked to leave. The other couples were banned because they had guests join them while they visited. That's right, no guests. So pay for a room, rent a boat slip but you will be banned if your son joins you to celebrate the 4th with you or Grandma and Grandpa want to come and join you for a boat ride. Oh wait, Capt'n Joe Ward wouldn't let them on the boat from the dock, so they had to drive down to the nearest boat ramp and get picked up. Low class all the way. The manager wouldn't listen to anything we had to say. She was rude and put words in our mouths. So did the dockmaster. I hope the owner realizes what type of service they are providing. Horrible, horrible experience and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone with a child or a friend who would like to visit you. Try the Hutchinson Island Plaza Hotel next door. Our friends who stayed there really enjoyed it.

Location was good , right by the docks. Price was good for being off season. However the bed was uncomfortable and the fan squeaked all night, needed some maintenance.

We had a really nice stay. Awesome friendly staff from the front desk to their Bar & Grill. Thanks Again we'll definitely Stay Again..

Do yourself a favor and DO NOT stay at this hotel. You are only allowed one parking pass per room, the carpets are absolutely disgusting, the sheets weren t even clean, the rooms smell musty like mold is growing, the pool was not maintained and here s the kicker: you aren t allowed to have guest in your room. The security literally made my sister leave my room because she wasn t sleeping there and guests aren t allowed to hang out. We were not loud, no one was drinking, we weren t disturbing anyone.. we were literally hanging out in the room trying to figure out what our plans for the night was going to be. The security guard pretty much stalked us the entire night and followed us around like we were little kids. We also rented a dock space for the boat..hahah. Our boat was the ONLY boat there and the dock master was arguing with us because we accidentally roped off and parked in the spot next to the spot that was ours. She told us we have to move our boat over even though the spot we were in was not rented out. This new dock doesn t have any cleats to tie to so that s inconvenient . You aren t allowed to fish off the dock. I have another kicker for you- you can t have drinks on the dock. I m not lying when I say we were taking sodas and waters off the boat to bring to our room and the security guard was literally yelling at us for having drinks on the dock. We weren t sitting there drinking them, which he knows because he was watching us. We just wanted to take them to the room. Needless to say, they called the cops on us because my sister, parents and a friend came by the hotel to say hi and hung out too long. They did not refund us for the following night since we booked the hotel for weekend.

Great for anglers. They have a bait and tackle shop on the grounds.

Used to be the best place to stay in town. New owner sold both docks out, and no access to guests anymore. Ugh. Prices are really inflated than I remember also. But location is still good.

Clean, tidy, peaceful. Small pool, but excellent for the last swim before departure. It overlooks the pier of the marina, pity there is no breakfast, but a three minute drive away I strongly recommend the truly amazing breakfast of capitain's galley (or something similar)
