Classy and clean place with friendly staff and good service.
Classy and clean place with friendly staff and good service.
A four star hotel that has been been modernised, but still has a rather heavy feel.
Definitely a higher quality Hotel with nice furniture. Great reception rooms. If I have the money or the reason to use the reception rooms, I would. Sorry, I do not know pricing 4 two rooms to rent.
Great place to meet friends. Bartenders are excellent.
Food is delicious
I stay here for work from time to time, the hotel is okay. The rooms are nice and the hotel is quiet during the week.
Rooms were clean and nicely decorated. Check in and out took only a few seconds each. Breakfast bar was mostly scrambled eggs, French toast, potatoes and bacon. The room had Keurig coffee and only one decaf black tea but the front desk ran up some green tea. There were leftovers from the previous person left in the mini fridge. Overall pleasant for the price.
Beautiful hotel. Guest laundry, fitness center, swimming pool and a upscale restaurant. Would have given them 5 stars but had to wait almost an hour for check in, even though we had a reservation. Also had a party in the ballroom and at least 20 kids running and screaming all over the hotel. Will stay here again.
Excellent facility. Very friendly staff, clean environment. I would definitely recommend for any business event.
Good rooms. Comfortable beds. Nice breakfast buffet.
Nice bed, clean room, overall wonderful experience!
Clean very comfortable rooms. Very visually pleasing. Overall staff was outwardly polite, but sometimes body language suggested they were not happy to be there.
Excellent service and cleanliness. Plenty of parking for each wing of the building. Room service knocked around 8:30 and 10.
Great place, everything very beautiful, clean and tidy
Attended a Bridal Shower Brunch here. The food was delicious, as was the Mimosa bar. The service was super friendly and helpful!!
Lady at the counter was flirting with me. Or maybe she was just really nice.... Idk I'm confused
The location was good, conference room was spacious and comfortable. The food at the restaurant was outstanding! Highly recommend for corporate functions
Hotel itself is not bad at all, new and clean. My big complaint is that the "free wifi" is behind a firewall that blocks games, netflix, random websites, etc. Rendering it useless for anything but email and the couple websites it allows.
Its ok.. the floor im on has an Old smell to it room is nice. And the place is nice looking But its smells
Visit the renovated restaurant. The atmosphere is very nice and the food delicious.
Staff at Ethan Allen hotel were fantastic. Will be visiting again.
Expensive for what it is. Housekeeping was at weird times and sometimes incomplete. But the banquet area and food was very good.
The rooms were a good size, however the server at breakfast was incredibly rude to my wife and kids. She was, evidently, annoyed that we wanted to order from the breakfast menu instead of the buffet. Breakfast service was sub-par
The room was beautiful! The shower was a handicapped shower with a sitting bench and I wish I had one in my house just like it. What an amazing experience. The bed was very comfortable and the buffet in the morning was great. The location was very convenient. Right off the highway and supermarkets and restaurants everywhere. Aside from the slightly snotty staff it was a great experience.
Rooms are very nice, staff is friendly, long walk from elevator.
Stayed here for a sleep study, hotel seemed nice enough, got free breakfast coupon today i haven't used yet.
Exceptional Place to Stay! Great Service and Beautiful Rooms!
Complimentary drinks and cookies upon arrival along with a friendly reception from staff. The rooms are well maintained and comfortable, a great place to stop for the night.
Front desk staff was lovely, and i had no issues grabbing a key that a friend left for me. The room was spacious and accomodating, linens soft and clean. Shower was a little wonky to use, but got the job done. Good hotel!
They advertise recent updates and it would appear it was. Rooms were pleasant. We stayed delux king. AC worked well and bed was ok. On the firm side, we prefer more plushness. The extra sitting room and tv are nice if you want to sit and talk.
On the negative is water pressure for shower and elevators situation. Not enough, slow and hard to find.
The staff at reception (wedding) was great from the pre reception to the reception and dinner. Had a great time.
The staff was very nice. But the rooms are dated and need an over haul. Tvs works slow and the bathroom wasn't pristine.
Very dated, not as clean as I prefer. For a name like Ethan Allen I expected much, much more.
Excellent place! The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful while the rooms were comfortable and excellently decorated. Would definitely recommend to anyone in the area!
Rooms are clean, staff is friendly and helpful. Restaurant and bar/lounge is reasonably priced, although actual room service can get costly.
Great place with wonderful rooms and even better staff! Highly recommend!
Its Okay . Little Pricey. Went back 2nd time courtesy of mgr. Food okay but this time wait staff not very attentive. Not sure if this is normal or to give people a more relaxing atmosphere. Burger was done right
Nice enough room. Shower handle was very difficult to use. So unintuitive that the hotel has to have a special placard in the bathroom to teach guests what to do.
Coffee in the morning was empty in the lobby.
Surprisingly poorly designed for being THE Ethan Allen Hotel. Our room also had bloodstains on the carpet and walls..
Great place for the wedding we attended.... Rooms are big and well appointed... Beds are suuuuuper comfortable!!
pleasant experience. clean room, friendly staff at the desk, all the accommodations we needed.
Today I had the most superb dining experience . The wait staff was exceptional and very hospitable . Sahar our waitress really demonstrated what it's like to over look the construction that was going on and did not miss a beat .
Beautiful hotel. Outdoor pool, guest laundry, fitness center, restaurant. Would have given 5 stars except we had to wait almost an hour for check-in even with reservations. They had some kind of party in the ballroom and there were at least 15 preteen girls running around the whole hotel making all kinds of noise.
Great food, super clean wonderful staff. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 Stars was because I was there for Easter about a year ago and it was terribly set up which was a complete disappointment. Food wasnt good and they messed up our table. I would like to believe that was a little bit of a fluke because other times that I have been there for their holiday affairs were always wonderful. This one time was dissapointing. Other than that one time (which I consider big due to it being a holiday and that should say it all) food has been great. My family has still not lost confidence in this place and have held various family functions there which I would like to say have redeemed them completely. if you are considering this plays it is very beautiful
Bath tub faucet was broken. Bathroom door doesn't lock. No complimentary breakfast.
Dated but very nice! The restaurant and bar in the hotel has great food!
The staff was polite and efficient. The hotel was very clean but ....
Hotel did not offer coffee in room or in the lobby. They had a "no touch" ice machine but it had been taken out of service. Most other hotels, even in CT, offer both. They also charged by credit card for a $50 deposit/damage fee without letting me know. It was refunded. It just caused some unnecessary hassle when I saw the room charge being $50 more than the bill.
For such an iconic hotel, we were not impressed. Seems like they are using Covid restrictions to their advantage.
The Hotel is great, very clean and the staff very friendly. The king size bedroom that I had was small, and old but very comfortable and welcoming. I had dinner with them and the chefs Jamar, Danielle were excellent, the food was on point. The servers Aixa and Jackie provided an outstanding service. The only downfall is the fact that I had 2 barking dogs adjacent to my room that was quite annoying but not enough to reduce their rating from my perspective since it is not a permanent issue.
My Grandsons Loved it and Nick Named it ''The Mansion"
Very nice hotel. We were there for a wedding. Food was great. Service was very good! Enjoyed our visit immensely!
We attended a wedding reception and the hotel was beautiful. Elegant setting and overall very pleasant vibes for a reception.
If you are thinking about having a wedding, or any special occasion, run do not walk, to the Ethan Allen Hotel! I recently had my rehearsal dinner, ceremony, reception and morning after breakfast at Ethan Allen and it was absolutely flawless! On a day that you expect perfection, but also plan for the worst, I received only the former. From Greg, who was our captain and made sure everything ran smoothly and wrangled my bridal party expertly while never making us feel like we weren t having fun. To Svetlana, my attendant, who left me feeling like she was genuinely as happy for me as any family member in attendance. She watched over me, made sure I ate and had something to drink, gathered all our gifts and cards and brought them to our room and managed to always be there without ever being obtrusive. And to Kim at reception who always had a smile on her face and made sense out of chaos as I changed room reservations left and right (the rooms at the hotel are big and gorgeous! My guests loved them) There wasn t a staff member who wasn t gracious, kind and helpful. Many of my guests reiterated that point to me. And the food was FANTASTIC! Huge kudos to the chef who managed to make banquet catering taste like individually ordered Michelin starred meals!
But I have saved the best for last Eileen, or Wonder Woman as I came to think of her in my head. I walked in to Ethan Allen to just check out the venue and within seconds of meeting Eileen, I knew I had my location. She oozes an energy of complete confidence that she knows exactly what she s doing and really cares about you and your event. I am an event planner by trade and there are very few people I would have felt comfortable leaving all my months of planning in the hands of but Eileen. She executed my vision even better than I would have myself! I, quite literally, did nothing but relax and enjoy my wedding day because that was the gift Eileen gave me. She was such a pleasure to work with leading up to the event that we became great friends . I even invited her to the wedding (and to my great delight, she came!) When on earth does that ever happen? Only with someone as special and unique as Eileen.
It is without a single hesitation I recommend Ethan Allen Hotel and their amazing staff for your special day as well.
Wonderful wedding venue! Eileen is a true pro, who walks you thru every step.
Big hotel, beautiful courtyard, and huge lobby/sitting area. The beds were comfy and warm.
Everyone was very nice and rooms were very clean! The reason for three stars was because the doors wouldn't stay shut after locking it. I went with with my 2 year old and was afraid of him squeezing his fingers in the door trying to leave but other than this the hotel was fine
good location and price and is run very professionally. the hotel has Ethan Allen furniture in the rooms which is interesting. mattress is very good. room coffee machine is so so. there is free coffee by the reception desk in the morning which fixes that.
rooms are quiet and I couldn't hear any noise through the walls.
the only actual issue is the business center computer area is not air-conditioned.
apart from that it's a really good hotel and has a lot of parking even if you come back late at night.
Great hotel with comfortable, clean rooms. Very good restaurant and amenities and great location for travel in the area.
I went for a friends wedding, while we weren't overnight guests we still had an excellent experience.
Was a comfortable place to spend the night after a wedding
Not a bad little hotel. The room was broken up into 2 areas and a very nice bathroom.
Staff was professional, friendly and very helpful. The hotel is beautifully furnished, as you would expect from Ethan Allen. Every Sunday they have Jazz Brunch, with a really good band and the food delicious, fresh and go hungry! The hotel is less than 5 minutes from the Danbury Mall with lots of great stores.
Room is well sized and very comfortable. It is owned/run by the furniture company and it shows. Plenty of parking. However, there are two things about it that aggravated me. 1. The TV in the living room area was in this weird cubby, and unless it was pushed to the back, the top of the screen was cut off by the wall. And 2. Their wifi blocks Netflix on my laptop, which was a big bummer. Overall, the comfort of the bed and the price would be enough for me to stay here again, but I'd make sure to bring different entertainment.
Good accommodation and clean rooms. But, the only problem is with the brakefast, everyday same dish no changes at all the counter. People staying for long time wll get bored of it very soon.
Nice hotel. Great rooms, nice restaurant, conference rooms for events too.
I was there for a business meeting. The staff was extremely pleasant and the conference room was acceptable.
The room was nice, more modern than I expected and the bathroom was cool
We went this past weekend for a friends wedding, checked in and used the room for a few minutes to get ready. Went for celebrations for the wedding and the reception and after party. Came back to the room to find bugs on the sheets etc. ended up turning in my cards and telling the front desk what happened. She seemed apologetic and offered to change the sheets, but once i saw bugs and the quality of the room. i refused to stay, they still charged me even though i didnt stay the night, will never stay there again. I cant believe my friends spent that kind of money on a wedding there..
