I was introduced to the Alzheimer's Association by a family member as I was looking for resources to learn more about the disease (someone I know was recently diagnosed with early onset). Since then, I've learned about all of the wonderful work that they do and I recently walked alongside others at South Street Seaport to help raise awareness and support for people with Alzheimer's.

The Alzheimer's Association New York City Chapter ...

The Alzheimer's Association New York City Chapter is an invaluable resource when one is dealing with diagnosis of a family member, an overwhelming time. They provide local education seminars and a helpline to address your questions as they arise. They also offer regular support groups for caregivers located all around the city. I am so appreciative of this organization and highly recommend them to others in NYC (or with family members there) who need help coping with Alzheimer's.

Working alongside the Alzheimer's Association NYC ...

Working alongside the Alzheimer's Association NYC Chapter as an ambassador has been an incredible experience. The countless fundraising efforts, community outreach, & care that the association provides for the family members of those who are suffering from Alzheimer's Disease is inspiring. The association continues to make great strides to advocate for this cause that affects over 390,000 New Yorkers ages 65 & older. Having a personal connection to the disease and knowing that I am possibly at risk of one day developing the disease makes me that much more thankful for the resources the Alzheimer's Association NYC Chapter provides. Thank you for all that you do.

The Alzheimer's Association in New York City is a wonderful organization providing resources and support anyone dealing with Alzheimer's. As someone who is a caretaker for someone with Alzheimer's I have found the team there very welcoming, understanding and supportive. They provide resources and support for me and my family. They also host a large walk against Alzheimer's in each borough that supports Alzheimer's research.

As a new volunteer with the NYC Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association, I can personally attest that the chapter is a fully committed, hard working, and dedicated group of individuals who are all working tirelessly to raise awareness and provide support in this fight. The Chapter is constantly attending and hosting events all throughout the city in a never ending effort to bring more people on board and help answer any questions. Anyone interested in fighting Alzheimer's or looking for support should contact the NYC Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association.

As an Ambassador with the Alzheimer's Association NYC Chapter, I have had an absolutely amazing experience. I am able to use my strengths in fundraising and community organizing to recruit more advocates, as well as reach members of Congress. The care that the Alzheimer's Assocation provides to patients and caregivers is unmatched. They are an incredibly effective organization in NYC and around the country.
