We have been staying at the dockside inn in association with the annual Navy Seal Museum Muster for the past 5-6 years each November. The staff has always been friendly and each year I ve brought rods and have fished off of either the small beach area around the docks or the docks themselves. Clearly the docks have and are almost complete with a major renovation and they are locked down from any activity. This evening around 11 pm the security guard was quite rude when I was found fishing on the small beach between the major hotel and the older angler suites. I find it funny they would advertise angler suites and they don t even allow fishing on property as they have always done.
At check in I was never told the hotel had changed to a no fishing property and it wasn t until I was walking back to my room late this evening that I saw an obscure posted note on an info board with other hotel information that said property was closed to fishing.
If you have been coming here for years like us please don t plan on bringing your rods as you have always done.

great quiet safe place to stay. our 1 bedroom king "apartment" had a full kitchen with silverware, plates, cups, pots and pans, and cooking utensils. a number of nice docks for fisging. clean bed and towels we were pleasantly surprised.

One star mostly because of there Fishing bate and trickle shop person. see review under Joe's bate and trickle shop. but the place wasn't that good for the price. Bath and kitchen need to be updated and there little tv that had real bad views on it. It rain all weekend, my wife and I say now we get to stay in see tv and get some very needed rest. But that did not happen the very small TV I think it was a 24in. Was hard to see from the bed. And the quality was very bad.
The bar/ restaurant is across the driveway was very load to about 11pm and the ppl on the 1st floor where very load thay where out to about 3am if it wasn't raining we would had left. Parking is hard to come by and ppl where parked in the handicap with no tag.

The people there were nice and the bed was comfortable but that is all the good about the place I can provide as the rest was disappointing. Stayed for my first and last time. After dealing with german roaches, no television in the toilet over flowing and coffee machine not working made my mini vacation stressful. Not a place I would recommend. Still had to pay regular price and manager was to call when she return to office and heard nothing from her.

Awsome

Was ok

Trash!!!! After years upon years of going to this Inn, my family and I have grown to love the location. This will only until the new ownership ruined the Inn. My family got kicked out for a friendly visit to the pool. Never again shall I return.

The view from our balcony was stunning! However, the docks were closed for renovations and the room was so-so. It is an older building and there is no central air so trying to keep the entire room cool was a challenge (the bathroom was around a corner from the bed so you couldnt close the door without sweating). If you book here, make sure you get a waterview... and spend most of the time doing day trips.

It was just okay. No visitors or guests allowed was a complete turn off and the parking. Seemed like a weekend for junkies hanging outside of the room just as you walk up the stairs. Does not reccomend!

Stayed here in the spur of the moment. Got a waterside studio for a reasonable rate. Loved the view of the inlet, the lapping of the waves and the wildlife. Dinner from the restaurant next door was great and the room was spacious and clean (albeit older). Will be going back in the fall for sure!

I stayed there a week which was paid in advance, which was over a thousand dollars , and I was racially profiled. Throughout the day we were questioned numerous times as to how many people we had in our party. Each room that we purchased was allowed up to 4 individuals . We had two rooms totaling to a party of 8 . While in the pool we were harrased and asked our names . I, myself , was told I was not aloud to be there . It was only when I pointed out I had a valid car pass and they had my tag number was it acknowledged that management was in the wrong . Meanwhile , a party of the same name number was occupying rooms upstairs and was never once questioned or harrased about personal information . This use to be a great place for the family. New management has ruined the familiar experience. Fishing is no longer allowed off the docks , no visitors ( which seems unfathomable to tourists ) , not to mention the surprising $250.00 charge that appeared a week after our stay . I would not recommend staying here if you want an easy , worry free vacation.

I stayed here a few nights ago. I was in town for business and wanted to do some fishing. To my absolute surprise this turned out to be the best place to stay and fish!! The rooms are very very very clean and it has a nice family atmosphere! If you want a place on the Ft Pierce inlet that had the feel of a very clean fishing hotel? I would without a doubt say GO HERE!! The people were down right wonderful to me. And I enjoyed my stay!! And caught some good redfish too!! Just Awesome!!!!

Let me start off by saying that Dockside Inn was one of my favorite locations in Florida. My fiance and I used to visit dockside 10-14 times a year. It was a great destination for us because we are avid anglers, and it was a nice relaxing place to stay and fish from shore. We enjoyed our times at Dockside so much that I proposed to her on one of the docks while snook fishing. We are about to celerbrate our 10 year anniversary and wanted to visit Dockside Inn because we have such a connection with the location. After reading about recent changes due to new ownership I am very sad to say we will not being staying at Dockside Inn. It was a great getaway to fish and we really enjoed that. The rooms were never anything special and pretty outdated but that was fine for us. We spent the majority of our time on the docks and were always happy. With no fishing from the docks we have no reason to continue to visit Dockside Inn. I hope the new owners realize how many of their visitors stay here because of the great fishing and views from the dock. Another piece of paradise lost.

Website states continental breakfast in room daily. None in room at all!
Jacuzzi was broken the entire time
Screaming kids all day and night.

No hot water in the room
Toilet didn t flush

Bloody dirty sheets the first night
Old dated musty stank room.

Pool closes whenever they feel like closing. Sunday they closed the pool at 7pm.

Many guests at the pool with beer and pool inflatables but we were told it s not okay for us.

Our group has been staying at this hotel for the past 3 years. New ownership and apparently new rules.
When booking Shawn should have stated that all the old rules didn t apply any long so we could have planned accordingly. Last year she was taking shots and participating with us. She hid this time because she knows she didn t discuss anything with us prior our arrival. No wonder why the marina was empty, a million dollar marina with terrible hotel rooms and a horrific guest experience.

Terrible place for such a great group!
