Fast, friendly service that was very affordable! My oversized door couldn't be fixed by another door company after they showed up and looked at it. Referred me to door doctor who promptly came and fixed it. Would recommend to anyone looking for a reputable garage door repair company that is capable of handling any garage door size or configuration.

Less than 1 star. Wont be considered for future work in condo building or for property management.

Called on Friday to get door opener replaced. Got appt for Monday afternoon (1-5pm). Tech showed up at 3pm. Friendly and efficient, and did not try to invent additional work. They installed the original door and opener about 16 years ago. Pleased with service; wish prices were lower.

Dear company driver on Ramsayville Rd at 5:30pm, 2017-06-21: you are not a NASCAR driver. Driving in the oncoming lane at what must have been 105kms (our car was already going 90) for a good kilometer and a bit to pass two cars at once (with plenty of distance between us) as you are approaching a very well travelled intersection is putting your life and others at risk. Don't be stupid.

The spring on my garage door broke recently on a Saturday morning. Having used Door Doctor before I knew they had 24/7 service. I called at 9:30 am and by 11:30 am Kurtis had my door repaired and working perfect. He sure does know his stuff. Door Doctor is a very professional company.

Had both garage door replaced today and Alex the installer was very professional and did a sensational job. Both doors work well and I was very pleased with the service. Job well done!

I have received excellent customer service and quality repairs from Door Doctor Ottawa for over 20 years. Over the past 2 decades, I have called them on a few occasions to replace broken torsion springs, broken cables and the garage door opener. On this latest repair call, Kelly was very responsive in returning my service call and Mike did a superb job in repairing the broken cable and some rollers/brackets on my garage door. Keep up the great work!

She was quick to follow up on a status inquiry about our order. The door we received was of high quality and locally made, and the installation by Alex was professional and without issues. Just had Kurtis come in to check on our garage door that broke over the winter. It was an easy fix and he told me exactly what to do to fix it and program it in the future. We also wanted a keypas installed and he happened to have one with him so he installed it in no time and told me how to reprogram it as well. Very knowledgeable and friendly service. Had Door Doctor come quote our garage door and opener to be replaced. Our sales rep Stephanie was so knowledgeable and worked hard to ensure we got the product we wanted in our budget, didn't try to upsell, didn't suggest things she thought we didnt need. Upon install day their tech Alex came out, he was fast, and super friendly, he did an excellent job with the install! Their was a small issue with our product selection, but Stephanie and Alex worked fasted to fix the issue, and ensure we got our door on schedule.

Just had to call them for a maintenance concern, and Kim called back right away wanted to immediately fix the issue, showing that they really do stand behind their service!

Our family was enjoying a movie one Friday evening, when we heard a god-awful crash come from inside our garage. We immediately ran to the garage to see what had caused it, and saw that our garage door spring had snapped and one of the cables was corroded and had broken. We were unable to open the door electronically or manually, meaning our car was stuck in the garage!

We called Door Doctor and the dispatcher talked us through a diagnosis of the problem, provided us with an accurate estimate for repair, and was able to assign a technician to come at a time that was convenient for us. The technician arrived promptly within the estimated window of arrival and was quick, courteous, and thorough. While he was here, he noticed a few minor issues with our other garage door that could require attention down the road and discussed them with us. We approved those repairs too and are very happy with the service we received. In addition to the repairs, he also tuned both doors up and they work better than ever! They are quieter and operate more smoothly than when we first moved in. Would absolutely recommend Door Doctor without hesitation!

As a result of a service call in May I ended up getting an estimate to replace 2 single garage doors. Deciding to go ahead with the replacement required some interaction via e-mail and phone with Stephanie at the Ottawa office. These exchanges were always cordial with a satisfactory result.

The actual installation was refreshing. The installer, Jackson, was a personable , no nonsence, let's get on with it individual. Over the course of the hours required for the installation he displayed a methodical and efficient attention to the job at hand. IN SHORT - A DEFINITE PRIDE IN WORKMANSHIP. Highly recommended! They have offered fast and friendly service on a consistent basis. The service technicians were very honest and quick. The ladies on the phone were also very helpful being able to send out a technician right away after we had one of our doors stop working in the middle of the winter. I made several attempts to schedule an appointment with Door Doctor Ottawa. After failing to call me back to confirm an appointment, I finally received a window for a service call (1-5) on a Friday afternoon. No technician came by, nor did they have any record of my call despite speaking with the same call agent who had given me the service window. I'll be trying other companies now.

We called Door Doctor when our garage door broke and we had a technician assessing the problem the very same day. We had the repairs done by Jamie and we are more than satisfied with the quality of the work and the replacement door opener. Now our garage door works beautifully, smoothly and quietly. We will use Door Doctor again for any future issues.

I bought my Garaga garage door from them. Amazing service and product. What is more amazing is a few years later there was a problem. They were there, with support from Garaga, to fix the part and did it quick. Friendly, well informed staff. Highly recommend them.

Embarrassingly enough, I backed into my garage door and after a couple of estimates and frantically googling online, I was stressed out to believe that I had to replace my whole garage door. I am SO extremely thankful I called Door Doctor!

Mike was the tech on site and went above and beyond. He was very clear, did great work and ensured I was happy. He also picked up roofing nails on my driveway, left by the roofers that had been there last week :P and informed about it and wawrned me of the danger!

I am redoing a rustic barn renovation and it was important that everything be built properly to maintain the look and structure of the building. This company's communication was excellent, very prompt, they were here when they said they would be, they came on several occasion to insure the plans were still on track with the projects. The garage door that was installed was to replaced a very old, broken, rotten doorway. They worked with the contractors to insure everyone had the proper measurements. Very happy with the end product and process, and i'm glad i picked them for my garage door during my projects.
EDIT* one year later* : Still very happy with their product and service! had them do my house garage after the fact. everything still working flawlessly!

Installer did a terrible job. Broken bolts door wouldn't slide. No outside handle. Stripped off bolts, lock didn't line up....list goes on. After a phone call, they promised to return later that day. They did not. I called again. and he returned 5 hours late, 4 days later. (the non working door has already been paid for in full).
When he returned, he promised to make it all right and replace the stripped out panel (said it would be 2 weeks). I heard nothing for 3 weeks and called again. The girl on the phone said that the tech was on vacation and that nothing had been ordered yet.
I asked for my credit card to be refunded until this was made right. Girl promised to call me back on Monday with confirmation of the order and my credit card refund. She never called. I am now a Month without my money and still no working door! Incredibly bad communication, bad service and terrible installation.

Wonderful experience. I got a prompt appointment, they followed up with what turned out to be parts covered by warranty, and they came back and fixed the problem once the work was approved by the manufacturer. It was always easy to get ahold of a live person on the phone, and their technician was punctual.

Had a door cable break after hours last night. Booked an appointment on their online booking tool for the first appointment of the day. A rep contacted us almost immediately to confirm the appointment. The service team Ken Labossiere and Dan arrived as promised and completed the repair. They also inspected and replaced the other cable. The door now works flawlessly again. Upon request, Ken provided us with a quote for future work. The service team was professional, courteous and efficient. I will be using Door Doctor again and will be requesting Ken as our service technician. Thanks again Door Doctor

Most amazing service! A job exceptionally well done, professional, and fast. Yesterday my home garage door came crashing down, it was Easter Monday, and sideways rain all day - not good. I found Door Doctor Ottawa online and used their online booking tool which was fantastic. I was able to explain the situation, select a technician visit time (only four hours away), and even upload a photo of the problem. Kurtis was the door technician and he provided outstanding professional service. Kurtis replaced the broken parts, gave me tips on how to do user maintenance, and expert advice on what qualities to look for in a replacement door when the time comes. This morning my property management just had Door Doctor replace the seal on my garage door. Their technician Mike Anderson was very friendly. He completed the job efficiently and left no mess.

Being new home owners, when our garage door broke we were in a bit of a panic. We are so happy we called Door Doctor,! The person who answered the phone was kind and helpful. Received same day service - Mike was extremely nice, not pushy, explained everything, was super efficient and he cleaned up after himself - looks like he was never even there! I called a bunch of business numbers for garage door repair that I found online, and I got the run around every time until I went to the Door Doctor s website and simply entered my info. I was given the option of an appointment THAT SAME DAY when everyone else I spoke to said it could be 3 or 4 days til I would have someone drop by! I decided, while speaking with the technician who called me, to opt for an appointment the next morning and the repairman, Mike, was incredibly polite, patient, clear about what he was going to do, and helpful - he even helped me fix a problem I had with my exterior garage door keypad and helped me reprogram my remotes for no extra charge! He took care of the work efficiently and expertly. I don't usually leave reviews but today I was impressed with the hard work. It was -24 today and I was thinking they were going to cancel on me because of weather conditions but my technician Mathieu showed up early (as promised) and hustled all day... even did the aluminum flashing!

Poor communication with me and the service team. I cancelled the call after shopping the repair around to the competition. I even spoke with the representative a second time to confirm the cancellation; service person still showed up.

Very expensive compared to the competition. Exactly 58% more than the most competitive rate for replacing a broken torsion spring. Also, plenty of $10 add-ons for making the call.

Kelly was efficient and kind. We had service within 2 hours. This is the 2nd time I use Door Doctor. I would never go anywhere else. Both times we had superlative service.

I used them twice this year, once for a broken cable and once when the opener machine broke. On both occasions I got same day service. Jamie, the technician was friendly, and he discovered a minor problem that had been there before. When the cable broke he just fixed the cable; did not push me to buy anything else. (It is an old door and someone else might have pushed me to buy a new one.) Good price. Highly recommended!

I had called 2 other companies when I accidentally backed into my garage door and neither even called back within a reasonable time, one never called back at all.
Curtis was on location within a half hour of my call and provided me with a clear, accurate estimate for replacing the damaged panel and hardware.
Kim, at the office, was helpful, friendly and professional in arranging the ordering of the custom panel and then calling back to arrange for installation at my convenience.
The work was completed as arranged in a quick professional manner and the results were impressive. Curtis is a capable, friendly individual who knows what he is doing.

I had a garage door opener installed and the job was fantastic. It works great, he balanced my door and tensioned my spring as well, and my door is like brand-new. I really appreciate how clean the job was. The technician stapled the wires so straight and neat I actually admire my wiring now.

I called Door Doctor on December 23, 2015. I was not expecting service until after the holidays. The woman I spoke with had difficulty understanding my name. After providing my contact information, she told me that someone would call me to set up an appointment. Today is now December 30th and I've heard nothing. I easily arranged an appointment with another company. I won't be dealing with Door Doctor any time soon.

Great overall experience. Both employees I dealt with were friendly and helpful. Repair guy thoroughly explained what was needed and completed the fix quickly with good workmanship. Appreciated the 2 hour window schedule (shorter than other companies I've dealt with) and call ahead to confirm exact time of arrival. Highly recommend!

Made an appointment with them which included a four hour window of time. They did not show and did not call. I will use another company.
