Love live theatre and especially the Centaur. We attend all the plays and thouroughly enjoy them including the fabulous location in Old Montreal.
Dinner and a show is our favourite night out !!

One of the last great show theatres in Canada.

One of the last great show theatres in Canada.

Reasonable prices on shows and constant updates on new productions. Service and sales staff are helpful and don t try to push tickets on you.

I would love to see larger seats, but you can have everything.

I love attending plays at Centaur Theatre. They're selection is eclectic and every production is of high quality. The staff is always friendly and accommodating and there is a cozy bar lounge to relax in before or after the show. Being located in Old Montreal is a bonus too!

Lovely English language theatre in the historic part of Montreal. The theatre is small, which makes for a more intimate theatrical experience. There is also an adjoining cafe/lounge area for patrons to visit before the show. The staff is incredibly nice and will make reasonable accommodations as well.

Traveling abroad to attend theatrical performances is not easy but at Le Centaur, they come to you. The theater I visited was simple in appearance but had all the artifices necessary for a good show.

Went for a play which my college teacher had us attend. Beautiful venue with a friendly staff. Their "pay what you want" politic is great for people wanting to get into watching plays on a budget. 5/5 will be attending more plays.

The Play " The first Wife " at the Centaur would have been more enjoyable if one could have heard and understood the complete dialogue . As Christopher Plummer said : " Ever a whisper from an actor should be heard in the last row of the theatre. " And that was not the case at the Centaur last night. Most laughs came from the middle section of the theatre, we sat on the left side , 6th row, and little reaction from the audience was noticed . PLEASE make sure your actors are heard for everyone in the audience.

The theater is absolutely awesome. I saw a play at Centaur and it was an amazing experience. I even have a teacher friend who put on a show with their school theater group in the same theater years ago.

This is a great theatre venue. They have a great selection of plays. It is also a very good venue, the building is very good. Currently I would consider it the best option for English language theatre in the city of Montreal. Accessibility is not very easy since it is in the old port.

Classy shows with excellent production value. Old historical building adds a nice ambiance. Love the costumes and the artistry. They've been getting more political in their messages in the last few years, but not yet offensively so. Saw Paradise Lost with a Feminist twist yesterday. Was good.

The bar offers a selection including coffee, hot chocolate and pop for those trying to keep awake for the later shows. They come in real glassware with a 2$ price value. Bathrooms are clean and odorless, but crampt.

You can order/pay tickets online and get them upon arrival onsite. Staff is friendly and understanding, taking in consideration lots of tourists passing by and being kinda annoying. It's heart of downtown, so beware of traffic. There is no free/on street parking, but you can find nearby a couple of paid spots with tag around $10/hour. Beware: street is closed for repair, plan your time accordingly if you want to get the by car.

Playing With Fire is one rip-roaring, rock and rolling portrayal of
the trials and tribulations of a young canadian boy who went on to
become one of Canada's great hockey players. Not a dull moment!

Today, my class and I went there to watch the play "Playing with fire: The Theo Fleury story". I personally liked the play, I loved the way the actor presented himself perfectly as the character. I am not a fan of hockey or even sports TV in general, but the story of this hockey player, I can somehow relate to what he has been through, ( in an other way )... Shaun Smyth you did a wonderful job.
Also for the long time of living in the neighborhood near the Centaur Theater, it was my first time attending it. I can't wait to go back theregarding to watch an other amazing play!
