My wife and I enjoyed a combined birthday celebration at the Spa, they laid on a rather unseasonal snowstorm for us but in the snow and cold the spa really did provide a unique experience, it was so enjoyable. The food was great, many restaurants to choose from and the Breakfast buffet is very generous, go there hungry!! Our accommodation was more than comfortable, we stayed in a split level room with balcony.
The day we left, the sun was shining mountains were snow covered and the little walk we could enjoy before leaving was very beautiful. The lodge is costly but well worth it, we will return!!

The location of this lodge is very ideal for people who want to experience a good nature walk. There are splendid mountain views and many places to sit down for a picnic aswell as basketball and tennis courts.

So great!! Upgraded to a loft suite and was surprised with cookies and hot chocolate by Sabrina, who checked us in. My girls LOVED it. The only negative: room service just had voicemail and never returned my messages. Still awesome overall!

We will not be staying here again. Ridiculous layout. Have to walk to and from one building to the next to get to pool, restaurants, lobby etc. Restaurants were way over priced. We stayed in a "newly renovated room" and the bathroom door didn't close properly or have a lock, it had a broken light switch, hole in the wall inside the cupboard, Bed was hard as rock, Room was terribly insulated. Staff brought us a space heater, but the noise from outside our room from guests coming and going was ridiculous.
Requested room with tub when booking. And reminded guest services again upon arrival and was assured our room would have a tub. Get to our room, no tub. When we phoned to request a room change they made it out like it was a huge favor they were doing us.

Clean and amazing views from most parts of the property. Service was okay could have been better. We were promised a call to move us to a room with a king the call never came. We did not make a fuss. Discounts was given at end of our stay though. More of a family focused hotel. We booked to use the hot tub which was supposed to have a capacity of 10 people we ended up counting 20 people that night. Nobody was there to check or crowd control kids and all after 10pm? Only 2 eateries open so book your dinner spots or drive out for dinner. The bar has an outside space which is very nice with fireplace for each table and views to die for! Will probably be more fun when everything is fully open.

A/C unit in suites did not work...looks like they were in the middle of renovations. Television systems were brutal, no locks on the bathroom doors.

Obviously the views are amazing, but farely expensive for what you get.

Awesome setting, only an hour's drive from Calgary. Many activities available such as the incredible Nordic Spa, downhill skiing, hiking, mountain biking, cross country skiing, golfing and canoeing. Highly recommended.

We visited this hotel with our family including our pet. the personnel were very careful with the sanitation measures and social distancing, also very friendly. The family room was ok, the bathroom door didn t have a lock but in overall no others concerns. Food is pricey but you can get an amazing breakfast for only 20$ per person. Lots of places to visit nearby!! We enjoy our escape from the city!!

it was a really nice resort, got to stay for about 2 nights. It was really great place for a getaway. very scenic places in the area. Alot of activities. The food was good too. Wished I could have stayed for a few more days

The Pomeroy group did an amazing job on the renovations. With the drive from Edmonton this place rivals JPL and the Springs with all the upgraded common spaces, new rooms and other new amenities. Every meal was excellent (the new lobby bar was my fav). The brand new Nordic spa is worth the drive up by itself. Also having the rebuilt Kananaskis golf course make this the go to Alberta resort for me.

Our room was great. However, the hotel needs some upgrades which it seems is getting sometime soon. We went for the views no the hotel but it is nice to have a good room especially for the price.

Amazing staff! Very friendly and helpful will clean rooms. Freshly renovated and they are adding a water slide. They put on a lot of extra activities such as magic shows, skating in the winter, etc. Make sure you ask what shows/events they are putting on!

This hotel is nice but the staff and manager are horrible! First off make sure you have enough money as they require to hold $900! I stayed there for a 4 days and when I went downstairs to ask to order a movie they said they had to hold $100 when I checked my card they held an additional $400! When I had asked to speak to the manager he said there was nothing he could do and we had wrote a letter and in that letter he had stated that he had got the hold taken of immediately which was not true! He wasn't a help at all and very rude! We had also tipped generously to all the staff and the manager of the resteraunt had stated we didn't tip enough! For how much you have to pay and how the rooms are it isn't worth the price neither the holds they put on your credit cards as well! Save your time and book somewhere in Canmore of Banff for better stays!

I found that this luxury hotel was far from hitt...

I found that this luxury hotel was far from hitting the mark.

I had originally booked a 2-queen bed room about a year out from a family wedding that was planned here for Canada Day weekend. I thought my booking was fine and I had no other thoughts about it....until closer to the wedding when more family members started having issues. I decided to call the hotel to double check my booking and ask a couple of questions.

Turns out the hotel changed my booking without notifying me - we were now in a single king bed room, which I never requested. They did change it back on the same phone call when I told them we have 4 people.

They then told me that in a double queen room it s based on double occupancy....but there s room for 4 people..?? She told me I know, but all rooms are based on double occupancy even with 2 beds . Not happy about that, but fine; policy is policy I guess.

Fast forward to the check in day: the other couple staying with us gets there first and the hotel can t find my reservation. Then they say we don t have air conditioning but we put you on the cooler side of the building . It s the end of June and it s warm. The party calls me and tells me this....I call the hotel and tell them I m pregnant and can t sleep without air conditioning. The hotel tells me they ve never had air conditioning but they have tower fans in each room. I insist they move us since I can t sleep in a hot room. They said they ll see what they can do. Got a call 30ish minutes later and they found a room with working air conditioning. Perfect.

They move us before we arrive. The lady at the front took a double hold on my husbands credit card because she couldn t figure out the system. Ok......as long as we don t get charged over our half of the room.

We get to our room (now our second room from the original) and the air conditioner is so loud I m having trouble hearing someone across our room. It s warm, but I assume it s from the air just being turned on shortly before.

We leave for dinner, come back and the room is still awfully warm. We decided to close the window to see if that makes a difference. We leave again and come back a few hours later....the room is now 25 degrees WITH the air conditioner running.

I call the front and they send an engineer on his way. While I m waiting, I m changing into PJs when I faintly hear a noise? Maybe it s the people beside me.....so WHILE I M CHANGING the engineer let s himself into my room. Super unprofessional. He heads over and checks the air conditioner and says yea, it s broken but he can t fix it. He offers to set up a fan by the window.

I call the front desk to tell them that the working air conditioner was broken and it s 25 degrees. They offer to room hop us at 10:45pm to another room with air conditioning. That s far too late and I tell them this room was suppose to have working air so why would I pack everything up and move for the same promise when it could just happen again?

They did cut our room rate in half, but I had to request 3 tower fans to get the room to a tolerable temp.

I also had to request 2 more robes and 2 more towels for our room....even though they had on file that 4 people were staying in that room; $25 per person per night as an extra charge.

Another disappointment was the bedding: a stained fitted mattress cover with a series of top sheets that didn t cover the whole bed. By the morning we were on the mattress cover....which was gross. I told the front desk but they didn t seem to care about it - they just said they d tell housekeeping to reset the bedding for us.

Outside of the hotel there was a lot of construction going on so it kind of took away from the scenery. But if you walk away from the hotel it starts to get a whole lot nicer and the views are beautiful. The breakfast buffet was really good and the restaurant/wedding/housekeeping staff were very nice and attentive.

For the price this hotel is charging, I found my stay very uncomfortable and underwhelming and I would not recommend it to anyone hoping to enjoy the Rockies.

The main lodge has been updated and is looking very nice, particularly with Christmas decorations all over. It feels well cared for and has some nice touches. The view of Mt. Kidd is spectacular. All the restaurants in the main lodge have been renovated and have new menus.

We have been returning customers of this hotel and what happened today totally blew our mind. We booked a stacation through expedia and paid for a double queen room in their main freshly renovated lodge. We also called them to confirm we would stay with our baby so they would have a crib available. Our room was confirmed the evening before when we called. My husband, my mother, my two months old baby and I arrived at the hotel in the afternoon and they told us they would upgrade us to a better room. We took the keys and were surprised to find out the better room was in their cheaper older adjacent lodge. To say that was not even close to what we paid for is an understatement. An old, dark building that felt worst than the hotel from The Shinning. The room was far from the main lodge, it was old and gross with stained furniture. There was no way we could ve accepted to stay there. Their upgrade was the space - it was a double room. We travelled from Calgary to stay in a nice hotel room and enjoy the amnesties. Travelling with an infant for the first time, it was really important for us to know that we were staying in a beautiful, comfortable place that we were familiar with. We contacted the front desk and they told us they did not have rooms in the main lodge to accommodate us. How is this possible? We booked the room months in advance and confirmed it the evening prior to our arrival. We paid $330 for one night and they were upgrading us to a shady gross place. They refused to give us a refund because we booked the room through a third party and were asking us to come back another time. I can t even process this whole conversation. Imagine taking two days off from work, travelling 100 km and being asked to come back because they have no room for you. After a while I managed to speak to a manager who was all overwhelmed by this situation and obviously was not ready to work in the hospitality industry. She was acting nice in a very defensive way. They told me that due to an emergency they had no rooms. Apparently some of their rooms were flooded. I asked to see the rooms and she told me it was impossible, hence the reason I assume there was no flood at all as they did not tell us about it from the start. Also, why wouldn t they contact us in the morning to tell us about this was very questionable. They told us they did not have our contact info as we booked through Expedia. First of all, we called the night before and they could ve retrieved our phone number. Second, wasn t it possible to contact Expedia and let them know about it? In the end, they agreed to reimburse us $300 cash ( not even the full amount ) and give us a voucher for a free stay at the hotel, but nothing will fix this whole experience. We had to come back to Calgary and our mini vacation was ruined.

No hyperbole - the staff saved my life. Almost ran out of gas on a dark and snowy night on the highway near the hotel, but managed to make it to the hotel while running on fumes. The staff provided a free jerry can of gas and wouldnt accept anything in return! Thank you!

My husband and I got married at the Lodge property this summer, at one of the mountain viewpoints, and stayed for our honeymoon. I cannot rave enough about how over-the-top amazing the service was. Every single one of the staff members we encountered (from housekeeping to bartenders) tended to every detail of our experience. We stayed in a beautiful room, had incredible meals (get the eggs benny at Forte), spent hours of total bliss at the world-class nordic spa, and enjoyed the awe-inspiring scenery around us. The wedding planning team at Kananaskis was more than we could have ever asked for. It felt like they were personally invested in our day, we are so grateful to have found them, and this location for both our wedding and honeymoon.

The first stay was not very great, had a bit of hiccups.
After speaking with the management they had asked me to try the hotel again, and provided complimentary treats.
This visit was beyond outstanding.

We had a basic double queen room with mountain views.
They greeted us with chocolates when we checked into the room.
The previous stay, there was signs that were very very difficult to see, so you were unable to tell where you were going. Now they have signs everywhere and you can see them clearly, helps so much to get your directions correct.
We had the nordic spa on Saturday.
The first experience was very disappointing as a first time experience, it was beyond confusing.
This time, they had a new area open, and they have properly numbered and had lots of explanation of how to proper experience the spa.
We went up and had lunch.
The lunch was outstanding. We had the cheese platter, and OMG, there was a jelly, and we had to get the ingredients, plain and simple peach and icewine and sometimes cinnamon. The waitress was going to bring us some more so we could enjoy it in our room.... she never did and went on a break.
This was disappointing as this jelly we wanted more, i highly suggest that you start selling it. And i would love to figure a way to buy some.
They also had perfect signage for troll falls this time. And that is a experience in itself
Thank you.
We will be back

Even under renovations this is such a nice place to stay. Worth every penny for an overnight stay and to expierance the Nordic spa as well, spend the afternoon wandering around the complex and explore.

This hotel is overrated. I have stayed at nicer Marriotts. Despite their announcement via email that they renovated the place, it is still not the most modern and the patio is still under construction. The area around is very nice. However, I am having some not so positive experiences. The receptionist was rather arrogant when we arrived, telling me that they gave away my reservation for a king size bed and that we have to live with two queen beds now. He also let me know that my Marriott Gold Membership is not worth a lot here, what is rather unacceptable. Other highlights include me asking for a second bathrobe, a soaking wet Kleenex box, no proper holders for bath towels, bottle cap on the floor and an A/C unit that is as loud as a truck, but pretty inefficient so probably a case for maintenance. However, I dealt with another very nice receptionist this morning and the other staff was very helpful as well.

I received a call from the assistant manager. It was a very pleasant conversation, what I call great customer service. They are aware of some kinks that still have to be ironed out and are working on improving the situation.

The breakfast buffet is good, service at the restaurant as well. Food at Woody s Pub is good pub standard. I recommend a walk around the village rim trail, there is some really nice views.
Overall, I can t give more than three stars since, for a hotel of the luxury brand Autograph Collection, it is still lacking a lot, further renovation is necessary.

I stayed at the Delta lodge in Kananaskis for my company Christmas party. We have had our Christmas party there every year that I have worked with this company. As usual the food and party room were excellent along with the staff. As for the hotel itself it's buried in the mountains with an Amazing view from everywhere in the hotel. It is a short drive away from Nakiska ski hill amd has a lot of hiking close by. The recently renovated rooms are modern comfortable and clean. If you are looking to get away or have a company function this is a great hotel to stay at.

Great mountain escape. Quieter and more secluded than the craziness that is Banff. Only ~45 drive into town.

Only issue is the very loud air conditioner in the room, which needs to be shut off if you want quiet at night. Apparently this is something the hotel is in the middle of fixing, who knows when it will be done...

Other than that, great service, great food and comfortable rooms.

I booked well in advance, a deluxe king room was offered a little room facing parking lot then was given a room called an upgrade. It had a bedroom with no window and it was located on top of the ventilation system which ran basically all the time. Horrible horrible asked that it be addresses completely ignored my request all that for over 700.00.

Stayed for 2 days with family and had the most wonderful time. They are in the midst of a huge renovation but the suites were silent and you would have no idea. The staff were incredible and genuinely helpful, welcoming and attentive. I can't wait to come back when they have their new huge Nordic spa completed. It is a gem of a place in the middle of the beautiful rockies.

Excellent facilities, restaurants and rooms. Very close to hiking trails and bike rentals as well. Also the internet is quite fast and they have decent cellular reception. Overall super enjoyable

Stayed here overnight for a work function. Arrived...

Stayed here overnight for a work function. Arrived at 830 am hoping to get an early check in but was greeted with a power outage and a lot of renovations. Overall, the staff were good about it but it would have been nice to have to some direction. I was basically told the power was out and that I couldn't check in until at least the power was on. Fair enough but perhaps pointing me to a waiting area or somewhere I could get a coffee would have been nice. I had luggage with me but wasn't offered any sort of storage so had to carry it with me. Luckily I had a spa appointment that morning and was able to go straight there (which had power). The spa was nice as usual (despite the hot tub and drains overflowing but that was to do with the power outage so can't blame the hotel). The attendent was friendly and lead us into the waiting area and offered us beverages while we filled in our forms. After that we were lead to another lounge to change and store our belongings. I had the body wrap which was great. A few others I my group had facials or massages and had nothing but good things to say. After the spa I was able to store my bags as the power had come back on but the room was still not ready. Thankfully the grounds are beautiful with lots to see and do so I was able to kill a few hours just by wondering the grounds. They're very well kept and clean. I had lunch at Forte. Great service and great food. It's been recently renovated and is a big improvement over the former restaurant. After this my room was ready so I checked in. I had one of the newly renovated rooms so everything was new. The design is good but not everything worked (and my block didn't have air conditioning; you'd think during renovations they would have put it in). Either way it was clean, comfortable and well stocked. Not much to complain about. That night my company booked a room for a dinner of about 100. I thought the food was absolutely delicious which my coworkers agreed with. The servers were attentive and quickly refilled drinks. Overall I enjoyed my stay at the Delta Lodge. My only complaint were the staff when I arrived as they weren't helpful considering I had just arrived and didn't know what was going on. Beyond that the staff are all friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay again and recommend it to anyone.

This was a very disappointing experience for 500 a night, the room was beyond horrific we ordered two kids meals and two chickens, and another dish,we got one chicken with room temperature chicken very salty and cold fries along with two adult pizzas from la forte which were 20 bucks each. Mind we're it took 1hour and 40 to get to are no air-conditioned room which was steaming, and the ETA of the food was 45 minutes. So after that they gave us 2 free breakfast and 1 supper for the rest of our stay. Also our autograph collection package came with breakfast but we had to argue with the front desk for a while just to receive them. The hot tub was also Luke warm, the pool is 3 feet deep and either hotter than the hot tub, or freezing cold, the kid section had so many safety hazards I'm concerned there are massive pipes intruding the shallow end, and the tile separating the two pool had no corners so the kids can easily scrape their hands, they had nice tennis courts and a bigger play structure which was great, the bathroom does not have a lock in any rooms even the family suite that's sleeps 6,overall it was disappointing service throughout our visit, the fire in the front looks nice entering until you realize all you're clothes smell like smoke l, until you pay 20$ to wash 1 white t-shirt,the environment around was nice and there is great lookout points to get pictures, there is also nice bike and hiking trails overall we expected a much better experience.
