What a great retreat. Getting back into the world and Kananaskis Village was the perfect place to go. We are so lucky to have these places in our backyard from Calgary. Even worth a day trip to come out and use three Nordic Spa.

Not a great experience as the hotel is run down. The pool floor is being held together with rocks from the mountain. Room was almost $500 a night and was not very nice. We also had one of the mangers get mad at my 2 year old because he was walking around the restaurant. What a loser. They also only had one fire pit available for smores and sitting around the fire and one night they had a private function and the next they shut it down at 10pm. What a joke.

We come here every winter and love all of the family events that they put on for the kids. Great food! Love the new spa and waterpark for the kids. Amazing family and friends memories that will last a life time.

This place has the best view of the mountains without having to drive all the way to Banff. I didn t stay at the hotel but the service appears to be top notch. The walk around area is stunning as it has gorgeous views of the mountains and valleys with tons of trees. The property also has a skating ring in the winter months.

A really nice hotel. It is kind of on its own out here but that is what is nice about it. Access to great hikes (summer and winter) and the hotel itself has some great features. I really wish they would finish their hot tub though! I bet it will be amazing when finished.

Comfortable beds and friendly service. Lots of dinning options and the food is good.

Beautiful amenities, brutal customer service. my fiance and I are getting married (eloping) at the Kananaskis Lodge and booked a 3-night stay along with a honeymoon/spa package. Naturally we have made multiple phone calls setting everything up and building a plan for a relaxing weekend. From the get go it has been extremely hard to get ahold of the correct people (i.e. events people, Forte restraunt, blacktail pub, Nordic Spa, etc) - calls often go straight to voicemail. If you are unfortunate enough to have to leave a voicemail (which often occurs,) they fail to return your calls most the time resulting in the need to make multiple callbacks to get simple questions answered. We were sold an elopement package and when we later called to confirm the details, the woman on the phone started arguing with us telling us that this package did not exist. We had to escalate to the events manager days later who confirmed that it did exist (and that we did book it) - he did not have an answer for why this occurred. It has been extremely disappointing to experience such headaches and consistently poor customer service leading up to our elopement. For what is advertised as a premium experience, the Kananaskis Lodge has been a huge let down and we just hope that the customer service and experience is not nearly as bad when we actually stay there. To be clear, we are not being "Karens" about this and complaining for one poor interaction - it has been a series of consistently terrible experiences and there seems to be no improvement as time goes on.

This hotel is located 1h away from Banff and quite a big part of it is still under renovation. There is no good place for having breakfast apart from a very small coffee shop with very bad and expensive pastries. The only restaurant we tried was Pronto, an Italian place with good thin pizzas and lasagnas.

The hotel is going under major renovations. It was very complicated trying to figure out how to get to our hotel room. On a good note, the staff were all very friendly, helpful, and professional.

My girlfriend and I just recently spent a night at the lodge for her birthday. Upon hearing that it was my girlfriend's birthday the front desk clerk Jonathan kindly sent up a bottle of wine and truffles to our room as a gift/congratulations. They were an extra nice touch to the weekend. Very nicely renovated spot since the Delta lodge days. The Cedar Restaurant was great for dinner as well, along with last few hours spent at the Nordic spa (which is open later on Friday and Saturday evenings 11pm) to cap it off nicely.
Well worth the quick drive from Calgary for a relaxing day/evening.

This is our 4th times stay within a year. We love this resort so much, my four kids love the swimming pool with three slides so much and they don't even want to leave the pool. Rooms are clean and comfort. Food is amazing at Forte restaurant, looking forward they could open the Blacktails bar on weekday because we love to hang out there with nice wine and kids can play board game.
Especially thanks to Angela and Gilbert to give us five star service.
We love the service overall
Thank you team and see you in couple weeks

Save and spend ur $ elsewhere.all pubs and dining are way over priced.not family menus.$19.50 for 10 tiny wings.french and italian cuisine.are u kidding?it's supposed to be a family lodge.pricing absolutley ridiculous.Room cards wouldn't work.bathroom sinks barely drain.place was under construction when we arrived.of course the web site never mentioned they were currently under construction.a/c was missing buttons.tv remote didn't work.fridge door fell of when we opened it .no microwave.hot tub was disgusting.Tiles n grout breaking away.talking to staff u could tell moral was very low.rude Asian girl at desk at main lodge. Personality like a wasp.we stayed in palliser bldg. No front desk staff or assistance of any type.if u need anything u have to walk from ur bldg to the bldg with the rude front desk girl.we will never return and I will bad mouth this place till the end of time.trails are nice and the scenery is amazing but u can get that in Canmore or Banff.save ur hard earned money and spend it elsewhere.p.s.most of the good reviews are from the people that work here do not be fooled

Amazing! We had our wedding planned for outside at one of the viewpoints behind the hotel. The weather had other plans and it rained all day.

Their staff were amazing. They were helpful, kind, and courteous. They loaned us the use of some lobby space at the spa to hold our ceremony even though we hadn't booked anything beforehand at their venue. This was truly over and above customer service and we will never forget it.

Thank you Mountain Lodge so very, very much for helping us out on our special day and rescuing us from the weather.

Absolutely remarkable!!

Absolutely remarkable!!
What an amazing spa!
I would highly recommend it.
(Be aware there is a police station near by and they actively pursue impaired drivers, no speeding tickets, just checking for drinking and driving : )!!

Fantastic accommodations. We especially enjoyed the wood fires on the property and the smoores in the evening. Aftr a couple of hours of hiking and snow shoeing the hot tub was very much appreciated.

Great location and clean rooms. However, the heat wasn't working in the room and the hallways were very cold. They did give us a space heater to get through the night though, so it wasn't too bad.

Loved how everything we central and located on the property. The hotel was beautiful and modern with an amazing waterpark and indoor outdoor hot tub. The spa its self is worth even just a day trip drive, surprisingly cheap and we spent the whole day there. Only complaint is a cheaper restaurant or deli style convenience store to have snacks and lunch at the spa. The food was awesome but having cheaper and smaller options in a grab and go format instead of just the sit down cafe.

1 star if you bring a pet! Due to COVID they will only clean your room every second night to which I totally agree with this is to minimize contact to staff and guests. They do disclose this to you when checking in. What they do not disclose is that they will still charge you $40 pet cleaning fee on a nightly basis. So you will be charged for a service you re not getting. I am not one to complain but the lady at the front desk said there is nothing she can do about it? You are charging me for a service you did not provide? All she said it was a common complaint I don t remember her name This was Oct 26 around 930am. I only rate this hotel 1 star based on this experience so if you
do not have a pet this will not effect your stay.

2nd time staying here and I'd always come back! staff are amazing and friendly! room is newly renovated (modern interior design). lobby is great! they have free hot choco this time of the year (which was a nice little perk).

they have trails outside the hotel and scheduled activities so even if the location is kinda far from everything you'd still have lots to do if you decide to stay in.

Amazing service at all the restaurants and the most friendly hotel staff. Been there several times and I can't get enough of it. Lots of geocaches in the village for all year round cachers.

Amazing Hotel ! new Deluxe and comfortable resort with fantastic view.

This is a very good hotel, comfortable and luxurious, the best hotel in Banff! The surrounding landscape is very good, the price is also suitable, driving to Banff is not far, highly recommended!

The premise, lobby and room were very clean and in good repair. The sheets were of high quality, but the bed was a little too firm for my liking. The parking lot was promptly plowed following fresh snow fall. The staff was very friendly in person, although when we called the hotel after our stay to get my wifes wallet that was left in the room we got a little bit of the run around. Overall I can confidently say I would stay at this hotel again.

Stayed at the Crosswater Resort after an afternoon spent at the NordicSpa. The Crosswater was quiet and the rooms look pretty updated. The exterior of the hotel needs some updating as compared to the Pomeroy. You get access to all the amenities that are available to residents that stay at the Pomeroy, you just need to go to another building. Not a big deal as this gets you outside to enjoy the Mountain scenery. At this moment, only a couple of restaurants are open. Prices seemed ok at both places, we ended up a the Blacktail Bar. Relaxing, but energetic atmosphere. We only had a few appies and drinks. Food was good and service was good.

This lodge is wonderful. There are many activities for all year and good conference room for business meetings. The food choices are plenty and the staff were very accommodating. I hope to come back for another stay. The drive from YYC was about an hour and a half even in some gnarly weather.
