Great & Friendly staff, wonderful grounds, Food is amazing. The only issue is right now their redoing the spa and some other areas and redoing the rooms so some of the A/C is not working but it still gets cold a night so open a window and your good.

When I came, it was quite unfortunate. When I encountered the BC forest fire, the surrounding mountain scenery was very awkward. The hotel was just renovated. The cedar restaurant had a great meal. The room was equipped with two 1.5-meter beds and 5 forest trails. The observation deck has a good view and is suitable for small weddings.

We stayed last weekend when the hotel reopened. Congratulations to the Pomeroy management and the entire team for doing such an excellent job of taking care of my family and making us feel so safe during COVID-19. The staff were fanatical about cleaning and adhering to strict safety measures. Well done! We will be back!

Definitely the Signature Club is the way to go for this otherwise out-dated lodge. The unfortunate thing about this resort is that it has so much potential. It is literally set in some of the most incredible natural scenery on the planet. Otherwise, service is mediocre and food is inconsistent, rooms other than the signature club need complete renovation. I really suggest they get a doorman and check in at the signature club itself. Otherwise breakfast is hit and miss, depending on staff. The best restaurant by far is Grappa, and the seafood risotto is spectacular. The beds in the signature room are very comfortable, and we enjoyed the lobby and 4 o'clock hors d'oeuvres. Don't get me wrong, overall its a great place to spent quality time with the family, and pets (they allow, and encourage our canine friends). We had a blast over New Years. Update: they have taken away the 4pm snacks and breakfast for the signature rooms. Marriott sucks. So 2 stars instead if 4.

We went on a (socially distanced & responsible) gals trip at the beginning of June. The hotel and staff were amazing. Tremedously accommodating and bright and uplifting. It felt so comfortable being there during this pandemic. There was sanitizer available everywhere, the staff all had masks. The staff seemed to really be "rolling with the punches" and were doing what they could to make the best of their new protocols. Highly recommend a stay here now or anytime!

Really nice hotel. But I m knocking a star off because they tried to scam me into a room upgrade. I booked a room with two queens months in advance. When I arrived they asked if I wanted to upgrade to a family suite for an extra $100 a night. I declined. That s when they confessed that they had given my room to someone else and only had a family suite left. He then said I guess I ll have to give you the suite at no extra charge . I ticked off that they first tried to get me to cover the cost of their screw up. That s not good business practice.

The showers need a bit of work. Sometimes they take ten minutes to heat up. Other times they scald you and you can t get any cold water.

Tried to stay there. We called all day, and when we would get through, whoever was on the other end would take our details and say they would call us within one hour. They never did, so we called some more, and every new person we would talk to said we would be called back after repeatedly leaving our contact information. We have called one final time, and it was the exact same message: "We don't want your money."

Nordic spa is wonderful but too pricy for a second trip! The hotel is also overpriced. I wouldnt stay there for more than 200 a night to be honest. Missing basic things to make it anything more than a basic hotel. The lobby spaces are beautiful but the room just needs some work. We paid to upgrade the room and was disappointed. We has to call and ask for spoons and cups and robes several times before it would arrive. The blacktail restaurant is way over priced and the food is honestly terrible. 16$ for a basic cesear! 16$ for one glass of wine,$16, and the cafe inside the building has the same wine, $35 for the whole bottle! So theres a tip!

The hotel is a typical mountain hotel, but it is old, clean and in the mountains, the air is very good and there is nothing around it, so there is a bar inside and you can drink your favorite beer with your favorite people until late at night. Food is ready.
And here, there is a swimming pool and an open-air hot spring, so you can swim in the sauna. You can go swimming in the outdoor hot spring.

Staff were very helpful and friendly. Room was newly renovated and nice. However, the 3 great big king pillows were all the same( too high). Wish there were choices. Also wish the bed sheet was fitted. So it doesn't crumple up. And were disappointed that the pool was closed.

The hotel has been updated, but Mt Kidd (separate building at resort) has not and could use it. Food is great as provided for a conference. Restaurants, pubs and cash bars on the more expensive side for sure. Room is nice but could use an update. Grounds are nice, trail could be longer but view is amazing.

Stayed in the signature club for a conference. Shoulder season and Very quiet in November so restaurants had shortened hours. Hotel room was very nice and restaurant food (both in the steak house and pub) was very good. I'd stay here again.

Certainly not worth the price. Our first trip out after friends raved about how family friendly it would be. Even they were disappointed this time. Beds are lumpy, it s currently 1:30pm and we ve been out of our room all morning, came back and still no housekeeping. Family activities are limited and extra charges everywhere. And if you re kids have any food allergies just bring your own food. We get a different answer from each person and nothing remotely friendly for my celiac (gluten free) kids (unless they like beet salad, $45 steak, or $25 french toast for 2 pieces of bread and 6 pieces of fruit). Will not be back.

Despite a mix-up between the booking agency we used and the hotel, Delta Lodge at Kananaskis graciously upgraded our accommodations and worked diligently to resolve the issue with the booking agency. Our room was beautiful, the mountain views breathtaking, and the indoor/outdoor hottub was a wonderful retreat at the end of the day. Great customer service and a lovely place to stay.

This place is amazing. I booked two nights for my better half's birthday. They are friendly, professional, and go above and beyond. This is a model of service for every service industry. Upon check in the young lady at the front desk made a little small talk. Nothing over zealous. Just some genuine life style questions. I told her we are down for a few night for my better half's birthday. Then like most folks she gave her congratulations and that was that. But... It wasn't I would now like to call out Sabrina. She took the extra effort to send up a birthday card and a bottle of wine. Even if that is some how the standard here I really feel like she went the extra mile and made our stay extra special. So management, when you read this. Give that girl a bonus!!!!

Nice renovation of the old Delta Kananaskis Lodge, now Marriott Autograph Collection. The bar was extremely busy when we arrived so service was a bit spotty. But in the end a pleasant experience.

The spa is amazing, the rooms are ok. When its completed it will be better. Are room faced the constuction that had us up early everyday and are ac was broken so it was 26 degrees in are room...but there was a fan in the closet lol.(which was the cheepest loudest fan that didnt work properly haha.) Seems a little over priced for what you get but then again im not a big traveller. It was $350+ for are room and the spa is still an extra 75$ per day, but i will say the service was wonderful from the hotel staff! And everyone was very friendly!

This past weekend my husband and I took advantage of the great discounts Pomeroy Kananaskis was offering. Upon arrival we had superb customer service from our concierge. He made us feel very comfortable by explaining the steps they were taking to keep their guests safe during covid. He was very friendly and very helpful. As were the rest of the staff that we saw throughout the weekend.

We dined twice at Forte, once with Gilbert as our server and another time with Carlos taking care of us. Both of these staff members made our dining experience exceptional. Not only did they go out out of their way to make it enjoyable but they also made us feel very comfortable.

I was VERY impressed with the staff and measures taken at this resort. Well done, keep it up!

Service could be better, phone options aren't calibrated properly so we had to go to the front desk to order in-room service, and when we tried to call the restaurants within the hotel from the spa, they could not be reached either as the phone options do not direct you to the right services. People at the front desk were very helpful and allowed us to check in early, which was appreciated.

Beautiful location, excellent staff and service. While we were there they were in the progress of renovating a lot of rooms so there was limited available. If you want to get a massage at the spa, book well ahead of time as there was nothing available during our visit. Be sure to check out the trail with the checkout points which are absolutely breath-taking and well maintained.

Came for a company Christmas party. Didn't want to leave. Pool was amazing with 3 water slides and an indoor/outdoor hot tub. Staff was very helpful during our scavenger hunt (can grab from the visitor center). Lots of paths for walking and snowshoeing. Lots of food options and bars located all around.

I had an amazing stay with my family. Excellent customer service & housekeeping. Easy check in & check out. Beautiful location and amenities. Plus, I love Marriott's bonvoy app; it is very convenient to use. Also, try Moose Family Kitchen's snacks & ice cream. Will definitely go back.

Nestled in between mountains this resort was a perfect spot for a conference. We stayed in the Mount Kidd rooms. They are a little bit dated. Getting around the resort was very easy and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I would recommend the resort for a retreat or conference location.

I stayed a couple nights at the Delta Lodge, and was amazed. Service and staff were efficient and friendly, rooms were wonderful, and was suprised at the amount of amenities available. Unfortunately at the time of my visit they were doing major remodeling, which wasn't all that bad, but the lack of air conditioning was quite the downer. Overall a good experience, but it certainly didn't feel like I enjoyed it to its full potential due to the construction.

This place is the definition of bliss! The environment is generally warm and cozy with wood burning fireplaces scattered around the property. The room is immaculately clean, the staff are friendly and helpful and the food is amazing! The Nordic Spa is right beside the building for easy access!! 5/5 would recommend and would come back!

This place is amazing! Better than the Fairmonts in the area for sure! Phenomenal food, amenities, activities, location, service and just so well thought out. The Nordic Spa is top notch too. A slice of heaven in the mountains, whether solo, as a couple or as a family.

Not a good experience. They said no renovating on Sunday as saws and machines are raging away outside our window. Although this is the renovated (?) wing, air conditioner is noisy, toilet does not work right and beds have the outdated soft top mattress. There is no gas station anywhere close so fill up before you come unless you want to pay a fortune for buying gas at the hotel. Food so far is adequate but incredibly expensive. We had expected a lot more for the price they ask. You can only hope that they are better ready for winter guests!!

Beautiful resort in an amazing place. The rooms were spacious, enough room for a family of four.
One minor complaint is that they probably didn't expect the resort to be as busy as it was for the long weekend, and they seemed short staffed and lacked a full menu because they sold out of some foods.
Otherwise, love it and the spa was a neat experience. Expect a 4-5 hour wait for the spa, so go early.

Took time off of work to go to the hotel and spa. Booked a stay and spa package & received an email to book our time in the spa only to find out it was full on the days that we booked our stay and spa package. The guy who phoned us was unapologetic and offered nothing in lieu of this. Great Mariott experience. We will rebook at the Fairmont and spend our money there!

My family and I just returned from
The most wonderful stay with Kananaskis Mountain Lodge. We hadn t been there for a few years and were very impressed with the upgrades staff food and most of all the atmosphere. They have board games out and a roaring fire and all kinds of activities for the kids. Hands down best family hotel in Alberta

First off, the service is very slow. I ate at a restaurant and a bar in the hotel and the service was very slow. When I called for room service, that phone rang for 30 minutes before anyone picked up. Then when i called for breakfast for room service, the front desk told me breakfast is at a restaurant only. So why would the menu option be on the room service menu if its not an option? It doesnt say it anywhere that the food is at the restaurant only.
Next.
The bathroom was gross. I wanted to take a bath but the bathtub was so dirty. I had to clean it before I could use it. Then I noticed theres a big chunk of tissue paper in the drain. And the toilet clearly hasnt been cleaned in a long time.
Next.
The walls are so thin. You can hear everything. My neighbour was moving his furniture all night both nights. Keeping me up. The doors slam shut too. So have fun waking up every 5 minutes to that.
Next.
I made reservations at the nice restaurant in the hotel. I got my days mixed up. Dinner was on Saturday and I thought it was on Sunday. But this is what makes me upset, I gave them my name and number and no one called me. Why bother taking a name and number if they dont even use the information they are given? Had they called me, I could have been there. So when they ask you for your number, dont bother.
The only thing that was nice about the hotel is the spa. Thats it.
Honestly though, dont waste your time here. Go to Canmore or Banff, the Rimrock is a very nice place and the staff actually cares about you. Ive never been treated bettwe there. The Rimrock is amazing.
This place however, is not.
Take my word for it.

Somewhat dated decor and rooms ordinary. Expensive anyway. Dogs are permitted which is great if you are a dog lover. But I'm allergic and so this was not fun. Also restaurants are expensive and not worth it in my opinion.

I have been a Marriott person for years now and I stayed at this resort in Jun'18. It was a disappointing experience overall for me
1. When i checked in my Marriott profile was not reflected in their systems, so the check-in process was not smooth
2. The room was not clean - there was a dingy smell in the room and also there were some items left in the room by the previous occupant in the room (dirty socks!)
3. We asked for a late check-out for 2.30 PM since i had an elite status at Marriott and which was approved by the front desk, but the room door was opened by the cleaning staff while i was in the room (3 times!) at 9.30 AM, 10 AM and again at 12 PM even after me telling them i have a late check-out
4. The AC in the room was toooo loud to let you sleep!
5. The pillows are not something that i would look forward for!
6. I raised all these issues and they said someone from their team would be reaching out to me, its been a month and no one has reached out yet

The lodge is great. The staff are super helpful and go well out of their way to help. The view and area is amazing. The rooms are great and there is even a steam room and sauna - although the sauna is warm at best. The beer selection at the bar was a little disappointing as were the prices so be prepared for that. Otherwise this place is great.

The room was clean and in good condition when I arrived. There was a miscommunication about payment arrangements, which led to a lot of confusion. I felt unsatisfied and frustrated with the customer service I experienced.

[EDIT]: Initially, my review was 3 stars and a lot longer. I was contacted by management shortly after posting and I explained the issues I encountered with the front desk staff. After listening and considering my feedback, they apologized and offered a free one-night stay as an opportunity to make things right, which I accepted. I'll update my review when I make the trip back next year. Until then, I've bumped up my rating to 4 stars because I feel a lot better about how the situation was resolved. The manager I spoke to took my concerns seriously, empathized with me instead of blaming me for the experience I had, and came up with a resolution that I think is fair for both parties. I look forward to giving the Kananaskis Mountain Lodge a second chance.
