Great place. Wonderfully helpful and friendly staff. Amazing views and location.

Appears they're still working out some bugs. Despite splurging on one of the largest suites, our view was marred by a large yellow dumpster, in room heating was not controllable, guaranteed check in time not met, hot water never actually got hot. Staff were very hospitable and responsive to concerns and did their best to offset. However, would be hard to justify the expense again as this first experience in no way measured up to the cost.

This lodge is very pretty. The setting is gorgeous and the service very good. The rooms are very nicely appointed. My beef is mainly that we got one of the rooms furthest from the pool and restaurants. We ate at the Blacktail pub and grill. It took 45 minutes just to get asked what we wanted to eat and another 30 minutes to get served. The pools were nice looking but cold and the hot tubs were nothing special. I honestly feel that this place is on par with Harrison Hot Springs...

Very positive surprise! The hotel is undergoing a complete renovation, and while the work still seems to go on for a while, we hugely enjoyed the very modern, stylish and convenient design of our renovated room. The breakfast buffet in Forte restaurant is a stand-out - they serve a range of substantial dishes such as yummy bakes, breakfast pizza, and eggs made to order. The spa area is not renovated yet but features a spacious hot tub, a sizeable indoor pool, steam room, and a cute outdoor dry sauna.

Staff was very friendly and helpful, just on the margin a few staff members appeared poorly trained (e.g., it was a challenge to have my laundry picked up because the operator insisted that there is no laundry service - although there is!).

Location is also good - the property is roughly in the middle between Calgary and Banff, and you have beautiful vistas - while the property is surrounded by trees, it is just steps away from the rim of the plateau on which it sits, and the rim trail offers spectacular views of the valley.

Customer service was outstanding, hotel itself was lacking. First, we booked a room with two queens, but when we got to the hotel there were only king rooms left. The front desk was extremely apologetic and gave us free breakfast during our stay. When we got to our room, the room was very hot (the air in the hallway was way cooler than the room). There was no air conditioning in our room (only heat) and when hotel staff came to check, they said they could not address the issue until the next day. There was a space fan in the room and a laminated note discussing how to keep the room cool (open patio door at night, keep lights off, keep curtains closed during the day). Obviously, with a laminated note, this is a common concern. When paying the price one does for this hotel, one would expect to have functioning air conditioning. We left after one night. The hotel was very accommodating and understood our concerns. They fully refunded the money for our stay.

If you are local, forget going all the way to Banff, this is an absolute gem of a getaway in the mountains. Beautiful updates to the lodge - my room was lovely and spacious and the common areas are welcoming and warm, amazing friendly staff, great dining options, and the Nordic Spa is definitely a unique experience as spas go. I would staycation here again in a heartbeat.

The fantasy of a lodge nestled deep in the mountains began to break after entering the room.
It was a Dan-day stay, so I didn't necessarily ask for a room change, but the common opinion of the people we went with was that the carpet in the room and the painting on the room naeb felt too old.
In particular, even the color of the spiral fluorescent lamp, which is not used well now, uses warm white, so even if all the lamps are enlarged, we did not get satisfactory brightness

I tried to turn it off at bedtime, but I found s/w, but couldn't find it, so I contacted the staff and found it, but I found the S/W behind the TV and solved it.
Especially in the room where I was staying, the wash basin was broken and there was a deep crack, but I was very happy.

Still, after having breakfast, it was really nice to be able to drink fragrant hot coffee while looking at the snow last night in front of a waterfall in a small garden.

Beautiful venue, wonderful view, fun walking trails, restaurants and bars were a lot of fun. They are currently undergoing a huge construction project and upgrades so a lot of things were fenced off, closed, or getting worked on. If all the construction mess was gone it would be an easy 5 star. No doubt that when it's finished it will be incredible. Will come back for sure.

it's overall great place to stay and it's so relaxing that we have made it an annual destination. The only minor thing I would get them to work on is to make the A.C. unit not so loud other than that I'd come back!

I had a great experience here. Check in was exceptional. We had a fantastic dinner a a great selection of wine including one of my personal favorites, Luigi Bosca Malbec from Argentina. The staff treated me very well and they were all very professional and friendly. I will definitely stay here again. Thank you.

The breakfast I had was most delicious the service was wonderful and the atmosphere was amazing

This is my second time staying at this hotel. Both times have been very disappointing. The first time was with my boyfriend, they gave us a dirty room. Took 30 mins to come up to clean. Then we noticed the outlet didn t work so they had to change our room. Also took another hour to do. It made us late to spa.

Second time , they changed my room from two queen beds to one king bed without getting my consent. I am traveling with both of my parents the second time so There is no way we can all fit in one bed. They said they are hosting a conference so they don t have another two queen beds room. They should not compromise individual experience for the conference. After going back and forth they found a room but still not cleaned. And they couldn t give an estimate as in when the room will be ready.

Plus side: Nordic spa is nice ( overpriced I think as this is not hot spring. But there is no competition here so no other choices. ). Food in the restaurant is nice. They gave us breakfast voucher during our second stay as an apology, so I gave one more star ( but they didn t do it right away. It was after I got angry). View around here is gorgeous. Staff are nice

Overall is good. It s a relaxing place to be. They just really get their management together for room booking.

I cannot express enough my level of satisfaction with the accommodations and treatment at the Kananaskis Lodge!

This is now my 3rd stay at the resort (First since the completion of the Nordic Spa) and each time I come back it gets even better.

The staff were attentive and truly went above and beyond to help make our stay memorable.

A highlight of our trip to the Canadian Rockies was most definitely the Nordic Spa experience. I ve traveled to over 35 different countries through my filming with Discovery Channel, and this Spa experience is most definitely a world class travel experience.

I will be highly recommending your property to all of my fans and followers for their next vacation.

Was a bit disappointed with experience, sink would not drain and house coat was dirty, the staff was quick to respond. Felt that the price for accommodation was inflated for overall hotel spa experience.

Great location in the middle of the Kenawaski valley. There is so much beauty here, great for biking, hiking, kayaking, and SUPs

Friendly staff, they have great restaurants, surrounding is amazing

Went for a drive and decided to stop here for dinner. The service was sub-par and it is like they are trying to justify their prices with gimmicks. The food was okay, but nothing to write home about. It may be a one off for bad service and a lackluster meal, but Im not like to have a return trip.

I loved my stay here. The rooms were spacious and clean. The food was amazing. The Nordic spa was a really great experience and the staff was helpful and friendly. I will definitely stay here again

We had bad experience at their Forte restaurant - supposedly their marque restaurant. Pizza was burnt, lamb rack was served cold . Cannot eat anywhere else, this resort is at least 2 hours away from Banff town. Nothing gets delivered here.

Love it here. The Cedars restaurant food was amazing!! Went to the Nordic spa as well which was so relaxing definitely coming here every year.

My Experice in Kananaskis was amazing, Eric Wilmoth was a consumate prifessional and catered to our every need. I will definately be back.

Service is excellent, and we had a least 5 hotel staff greet us before we checked-in. Lobby is lovely, and the spa is well worth your time. Ordered some room service while we were there, and came promptly and was as good as can be expected for room service - though the cake was absolutely delicious. Room itself was nice, but a bit odd to have space heaters to heat the room considering the price. Also noticed a cheap fan in the closet, so could be issues in the summer. No in room thermostat to adjust to how you want the temperature. Also the blind didn't fully open for the windows. All in all, a nice place to stay and enjoyed the surrounding area.

Marriott galaxy hotel nestled in the beautiful green Kananaskis Valley. The 4-star structure, in alpine style, is characterized by the presence of 4 restaurants, a cafeteria and a gym with swimming pool. A welcoming and ideal location for a relaxing and trekking holiday in the valley with all the various comforts offered.

The Services here were so good and when the pool got turned into a waterpark kind of thing I was exited to go there again. Definitely 5/5

Staff was fantastic. Rooms were fine. Main restaurant was closed for renovations so all the guests had long waits to get a seat. In two meals we had extremely long waits and many dishes were not available to the point they ran out of brown toast at breakfast. The staff went out of their way to try and make up for these shortcomings but it does not reflect well on the parent company that is trying to sell themselves as a marquee brand. I am sure when the main dining room reopens the problems will be fixed.

The location is amazing, the staff were fantastic. The rooms were nice. The facilities for a conference were excellent, the food was very good as well.

Amazing hotel. The best part is that they allow dogs so we were able to bring our boy with us. There is so much to do around here, can easily fill up a weekend of rest and relaxation. If you're looking for more activity there's lots in the way of hiking trails, skiing, snowshoeing, bike riding, ocean skating, etc.

I would highly recommend this place!

We drive out to eat lunch at the lodge. The main restaurant we intended to visit no longer exists. The steakhouse was closed all afternoon fit a private function forcing us to eat at the limited menu lounge. The food was lovely so it all worked out in the end. I had steak frites which was very well prepared although I had skipped breakfast so could have used a larger portion. We were not offered dessert but I think our lead member may have asked for the check when I want listening. None of my gripes are the lodge's fault. We should have called ahead. The natural scenery is beautiful. The grounds must be exceptional in the summer when the pond is filled and fountain is running. We'll have to return after spring.

It was at a beautiful location but far away from everything. The rooms were nice and clean.

Main Lodge looks really nice but Mt Kidd area I m very dark and rooms have no view. Thermostat I. First room didn t work. Waited over an hour for new room.

First time I visited the Delta at Kananaskis village. Very nice, clean place. We went to the coffee shop. Must be nice to spend a weekend in there.

Many wonderful weekends spent at this resort. It's also dog friendly, that's a huge plus!

Kids loved the hottub and kiddie pool. The area was so beautiful and peaceful. It's a really nice get away for the family for a weekend.

Came here for our daughter... she loved the water park and playground. Other than that... this place is just ok. Asked for a room cleaning - came back to a dirty room with towels replaced. Our daughters Pajama shirt was accidentally taken in the pile of dirty linens. When calling to try to get it back, the best they could do was send an email because god forbid they ever pick up their phone. Booked two massages at the Nordic spa - was not informed that access to the other spa amenities was closed for cleaning immediately following my massage making it a $200 massage with no access to other things. When I attempted to speak to management at the spa regarding this - again good luck getting through on the phone. Had so many friends ask us where this cool water park was that we went to but likely won t be referring any visitors here or coming back.

Always a great apres ski dinner and drinks. Food delicious, service excellent. Ask for Gilbert!

They are renovating, we had to creatively maneuver around the resort. For our large group, this was confusing and inconvenient. We had to go through the underground parking to hit the spa and the check in was in another building completely. Construction was going on through out the day making it noisy when we opened our window. The rooms were to hot and half the elevators did not work. The staff at this resort made it all better! Thank you for treating my family like gold!

Since the refurbishment to an Autograph collection, this resort definitely impressed us and the natural beauty surrounding it is hard to beat. Easy to tell that rooms/lobby/restaurants have been completely redone, and the restaurants did not disappoint either. Just be warned that it s not super close to Banff, but it s a very pretty drive.

For my 55th Birthday I was treated to a stay at The Delta Hotel at Kananaskis. From the time I checked in, to the time I left, the service was first rate. The Pomeroy Group knows how to treat a guest....I strongly recommend you coming and experiencing a beautiful resort and amazing service.

It was a disappointing experience at the hotel. It was our first time and we weren't informed of all the amenities the hotel offered. There also wasn't anything in the room showing what the hours of the restaurants were and even what restaurants were there. There was nothing posted outside the restaurant or stores with their hours either. There could have been a link to a webpage or a disposable pamphlet or something to conform to covid standards.
The only thing we were informed of was how to book a time slot for the pool, hot tub or games room. We used the hot tub, but it was very cold. We had to have a hot shower to warm up. I complained the morning after and they said they were working on it and were sure it would be fixed by the next night, only it wasn't. Super disappointing, we would have done something else instead of rushing back for our booked time. I complained again on check out and they apologized, but it felt super rehearsed and disingenuous.
The rooms were nice, spacious and clean. I'll be hard pressed to book again anytime soon. For the price you pay the hotel should be better.

We were there for a conference with two kids and two dogs.
Each room was being heated with a space heater. They told us we should have known when we booked the room. Let s me repeat, A SPACE HEATER! Our room was either too hot or too cold! Awful for sleeping!
To top it off, we didn t have hot water for the entire duration of our stay. Luke warm showers for everyone! Had a very rude maintenance guy (let himself into our room) at our room 3 hours one day, told us it was fixed. It was not!
In case you re wondering, there was no discount offered for either of these inconvenience!
Maintenance told us that the hotel runs out of hot water during busy shower times! Perhaps this is something they should focus the renovations on?!
For what we paid to stay at this hotel with kids and dogs, we could have stayed at the banff springs... but maybe we would have had heat and hot water!

Staff are not friendly. I hate to say this, but I believe it has to do with race. If you are not white, they seem to dismiss your concerns and staff are simply not as nice to you (including front reception and restaurant staff). I have received similar feedback from other friends and family members who have stayed here.
My husband and I have come here a few times, hoping for a better experience, but unfortunately it has not improved. Will not be coming back.

Treated poorly by Jacqueline at the front desk. We expected to be greeted kindly on our honeymoon, that was not the case here. Very unpleasant woman. Rooms are fine, if you can get a view.

Had an amazing weekend celebrating an anniversary this weekend. We were upgraded to the hospitality suite, and were amazed with the beautiful room. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay great. Loved the food at the restaurant, and really enjoyed our day relaxing at the Nordic Spa. Can't wait to visit again!

We came here for our 10 year anniversary and we got spoiled from the moment we stepped in. We got a special treat from the manager when we got to our rooms (thank you!) The staff here are amazing. We did the fat bikes it was tough but worth the experience. We did the nordic spa all day with a massage in between. I lasted 30 seconds in the cold plunge.... top that when you are there :) massage was great. Food is yummy especially the eggs Benedict. Yum! Gotta try this at least once. The only thing is the pool was closed. Next time we will be back with the whole family. Thank you

An absolute gem! If you have the means, definitely a worthwhile experience. Gorgeous private resort nestled in the most scenic splendor Alberta has to offer. Just make sure you get a room in the main building. Beware, most rooms are not yet air conditioned. Also, would have given 5 stars but the construction on the pools wont be complete until October 2018. Ergo the only pools available to us were hot tubs.

Place is really nice.. its on a mountain in the middle of the forest! Lot of things to see.. once here,.. never forget to check out the view point.. you'll be in tears from its beauty (ok I'm exaggerating) but it's so good that you're stupid if you'll miss it.. there's also the man made little falls..a lot of picturesque areas.. and oh the employees are nice.. me ha was nice that she helped me while she was working on the other room.... abby did a great job cleaning our messy room and left a cute note..oh and the pool is so nice too! It has 3 different slides and has wet and dry sauna.. were in room 2000 were supposed to be only for a day and we extended one more..place is just amazing

New rooms are spacious and beautiful. Super comfy beds. Amazing food. Only complaint is the inconvenience of the construction on going for improvement. No disruptive noise though and it will be done one day

I was not staying here, I just visited and walked around to look at the shops and small trails. Very nice scenery and worth a visit if you don't mind the tad construction. View from the ridge over the golf course was nice, however damages from the 2013 flood can still be seen.

I haven't been here since it's been reno'd and i'd heard good things. It's great. The upgrades are significant in both decor and service. The rooms used to be unbearably hot, they've fixed that. The restaurants are sleek and modern. It's expensive but probably now one of the most modern, full service, multi-option resort. I would highly recommend along with a day pass to the Nordic Spa.
