Really crowded. But you have to been here. It is a nice dark pub. With a lot of good whiskeys!

Great meeting place to share stories. Great craft cocktails.
Had a beer downstairs then went up to the lounge. Both bars have a really nice atmosphere, and very friendly staff. The cocktails we had were brilliant, the food great. Will definitely be back.
Annie is a top tier bartender - Irish Coffee and spicy Mezcal drinks were both amazing.
Heard this place was incredible. Went with a group they apparently could not accommodate (10 people), so we offered to split up. The door man refused and said it was against policy to split parties. So our only recourse was to try the open bar on their 3rd floor, which was packed. We couldn't get service so we left. It was a cool place from what I saw, however.
Staff were very attentive. Cozy and welcoming atmosphere. Fills up very quickly
Great pint of Guinness, great food, and great people.
It was super packed but even like that, the service was super friendly and fast! I loved the music during St. Patrick's day too! Definitely my favorite place to visit in NY
Always amazing, never disappoints! Food and drinks are top notch!
Those cocktails were just out of this world. I spent the week looking for good cocktails, and it started there. It was quite the experience.
One of the most famous pub in NYC. There you can find delicious cocktails and food. While I was drinking a cocktail, I've asked for truffle fries and they were so good
Always an amazing experience, never a dull drink at this place. I had negroni, Irish coffe, whiskey punch and Willing well. All four cocktails were perfect in terms of texture and flavors; none of them sweet (and I don't sweet cocktails). The ambience is amazing and a very friendly staff
great place to hang out, amazing cocktail menu with a novel plot - still serves food till 2am
Pricey, always packed, but a great place. One of the best in NY
Two stars for the atmosphere, not impressed with the rip-off ice cubes, though! I'd expect more from a $17 cocktail!
Only had enough time for one drink, but that one drink was incredible. Honestly, watching the bartenders make other people's drinks, they do such a seamless job a concocting these complex mixes, and the facial expression at the 1st sip from everyone tells the entire story. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for something more than just dressed up drinks.. Something that actually exceeds your expectations.
This bar is one of my absolute favs in new york. Love that i can taste some single malts in a fun and sophisticated atmosphere
Must go. Fun drinks and amazing atmosphere. Best bar in the world? I don't know about that but very good
After 15 years in the industry I have never been so underwhelmed in my life. I came to NYC to celebrate my 30th birthday and I wanted to come to "the greatest bar on earth"......well, for starters, the upstairs was closed at 11:45, my own fault, probably should've checked when the multiple levels did their own last calls....(???), my girlfriend and I sat at the bottom bar and ordered literally the most basic cocktails on earth, and some how, the completely inattentive bartenders managed to mess them up. I would assume that the greatest bartenders on earth would know that a whiskey neat means no ice...well that would be incorrect. The sliders were mediocre, something I could throw together in my own kitchen in half the time. The "speciality" cocktails were nothing more than top shelf spirits sloppily thrown together in an attempt to make them high end. The presentation was poor, the atmosphere sucked, and the staff was rude. I'll make sure and never recommend this spot to anyone...ever...
Update....I've been holding my girlfriend's hair for the last half hour and it certainly isn't from the the cocktail she drank half of (the only thing she drank all day). This place is a joke.
Previously rated Best Bar in world so I dont really need to say much more.
The place certainly lives up to the hype, and I only went to the third floor. Of all the things I'd though I'd be blown away by, the Irish coffee stood out the most. World famous indeed.
Very so so place, I was unhappy with the menu for my 1st time visting.Food was good but not worth the price. Its pricey & noisy .I wont be returning.
Best pub I've ever been to. If you're in NYC get to The Dead Rabbit!
True pub feel, warm and cozy, saw dust on the floor, Irish whiskey galore! Tasty food, need to go back to try more.
Incredible cocktails. Go to the 2nd floor bar if possible. The staff are really attentive and friendly
Time traveller please.
A man walks into the dead rabbit bar. The bartender says, what'll ya have.
Deserves all the hype but with the hype comes crowds. Come early or Saturday and Sunday afternoons are good to experience their fine cocktails.
It is my first time visiting this bar, and you have to go! It s the cutest little spot with amazing food. The food and alcohol are to die for. The service I received was so amazing, and I will definitely be back again. They made me feel welcomed and gave me an amazing experience. IT WAS FIRE!!
Cool bar with a great atmosphere! We waited about an hour for a table on the second floor. My cocktail was amazing, but it better be if it s $19. My only real complaint is how rude the bouncer was.
I love their cocktails, especially the old fashions and manhattan. Been here many times and it's always great!
Amazing cocktails and a really fancy set of bars. Go here for a drink! Also a very good bar menu :) very impressive
The Dead Rabbit is among the elite establishments in the world. Top notch food and cocktails. Price on point for the neighborhood. Its listed on so many "best of" lists that I've lost count. Historically as a descendant of members of the Roach Guard, I should despise any place claiming "Dead Rabbit" and never set foot in it, but i love this place....that's some serious kudos if you know your Five Points history.
Fantastic bar hiding out at the bottom of Manhattan.
Have had an amazing afternoon / evening spent here and made some good new friends whilst visiting New York.
Bar staff have been awesome and were really / willing to offer suggestions as to cocktails to pick from although I stuck happily to Urquell.
The sooner I can come back here the better
I feel like the bartenders didn t have any experience did not enjoy it
Amazing spot. Great cocktails and even better food. A hidden gem!
Never got to eat here because they were changing for dinner service. The grocery isn t anything but a wall of nearly nothing. Very misleading. Had high hopes for this place. Maybe I ll try once more but not any time soon.
The upstairs at Dead Rabbit is awesome. The ambiance, the evolving graphic novel menu, the drinks and all.
Excellent service once you're in. Still rocks the best Irish whiskey around. Drinks though.. just lack that oomph that placed them firmly at the no 1 spot a couple years back.
One of the coolest places for a drink in NYC. Upstairs has a different menu and amazing drinks that you can't find anywhere else
The food was tasty. The staff was very kind and attentive. Prices that are reasonable.
This is an amazing pub, themed upon "Mr. Rabbit", as the name suggests. Their cocktail menu is fascinating. It is separated into 6 volumes, which is essentially a graphic novel with Mr. Rabbit as protagonist. The sheer variety of cocktails is overwhelming, with some being how they heck did they think of that. Do visit the upstairs cocktail lounge, since that's where you'll get it. I find downstairs pub good for quick beer at the bar, having options of brewed beers.
Excellent drinks and the food was also great! I got a Pisco Sour, which was fantastic.
Excellent drinks. There are good reasons why this bar is award-winning. I went for brunch and they had special drinks specifically geared toward the brunch crowd. As a warning, the seating near the front windows is uncomfortably drafty in the winter. Also, the brunch menu is almost exclusively meat focused (there is a salad or so) but no really solid options for vegetarian/vegan/healthier eaters.
Loved it , Great feel to it, best Irish whiskey list ever.
Sat at the bar and just went with the suggestions of the barman. He did not steer us wrong :)
They also had a special on oysters - dollar each. Which was great.
Last but not least, the whole interior and concept of the bar is amazing.
World class cocktails at the upstarts (2nd floor) bar especially (well worth the wait every time), outstanding Irish comfort food, and a very fun venue.
I especially enjoyed the live piano in Friday nights.
Good cocktails, amazing atmosphere and friendly bartender. A little expensive though
Great food and even better drinks. The sliders are just delicious. Someone had an epiphany when deciding that they should put a fried quail egg on them. Yum!
Clearly the greatest cocktail bar in the world! And they have the hardware to back it up. It's a cocktail aficionado's Disney World. Excellent service, highly motivated and creative bartenders and courteous service throughout. A must visit place in NYC and as a regular here, I highly recommend this place (and it's sister lounge, Black Tail, located not too far from here). Their all time great cocktail, at least to me, is Port of NY--but alas, it's a seasonal drink and they currently don't have it on their current menu. Their menu changes seasonally, but anything you get--either shaken or stirred for any cocktail, it's phenomenal! Enjoy!
Visited on a Thursday. The service was friendly and observant.
Another British Invasion to NyC
Honestly, not perfectly British foods, but they serve great quality foods and services.
And it is really cozy and spacious, so you can enjoy time here with your friends or lovers!!
This name is strange but I have a lot of fun whenever I come here. It's been a few months since I last was there but I typically have delays between fidgeting the dead rabbit Grocery and whenever I go back I'm pleasantly surprised because they still have great service and products.
Great cocktails and solid food. It can be a bit packed but they get the most out of the space. The servers are friendly and expertly navigated crowd.
Lunch is becoming a weekly thing here. The menu is comprised of many small plate items and your first problem will be trying to limit the number that you order. There are just too many to do it justice in one shot, hence my weekly visits. There is a good tap list which includes a tasty cider as well as the signature cocktails that are too numerous to mention. Lunch can get a bit crowded in the 1st floor tap room but that should soon change as they open the 2nd floor at lunch. Try a scotch egg, sausage roll, some pate, a pot pie or start with the corn & crab chowder that I had today. They also have salads and burgers for the less adventurous. Better yet, go to the website first to see all the delicious dishes available. Then go visit the nice people working here and fill up. You won't be sorry!
Have to say was very disappointed. Being from Belfast it was top of our list when we arrived in New York. We sat in the downstairs area and ordered lunch and drinks. The waiters were very unorganised and didn t seem to know what they were meant to be doing. Our food arrived very quickly but our drinks hadn t arrived, I noticed they had been sitting on the bar and no one was paying any attention to bring them down hence my Irish coffee was stone cold! The table beside us also had the same issue with their drinks sitting on the bar a good 10 mins before anyone brought them over. The staff certainly need better organisation as there was certainly enough of them!
Decent burger, but the coffee options were limited and I felt the place didn't live up to the hype in general
I had a great time at the bar for a while with friends everything very well I had a good time with all the mothers, the nice and friendly waitresses, the one who attended us, I liked the waitress service, the very good cocktail drinks
Fascinating drink menu and tasty tasty drinks. Lobster devied eggs were amazing.
Located in right near the historical Fraunces Tavern Museum, this is a wonderful place to grab a fun cocktail or a meal.
Simply outstanding place with great staff, exceptional drinks and beautiful decor
A bar, it's nice but not sure the extra special part I'm missing on why Bar of the year". Great selection of whisky, very reasonably priced (for NYC) food and quaint place
Unique atmosphere in a historic building. 2 stories, bar on both floors. Came during weekday for lunch. Food was good, maybe a little on the blander side, but I still enjoyed the burger and truffle fries. Cocktail was amazing. Would love to come back next time I m in NYC and try a different cocktail.
Good beer and whiskey selection. Third floor was a really comfortable spot and service was friendly.
One of the highlights of our trip to NYC last year was finding this beautiful, character filled, friendly bar. It was packed, it was full of atmosphere and we had a ball. Drinks were amazing! Can't wait to get back there on the next trip.
Easily my favorite cocktail bar in NYC. Well worth the wait.
Historical Irish themed pub. Good drinks, bustling atmosphere.
Love this place. My family and I went there after i got married at city hall, and the staff gave us free champagne to my husband and me. Great cocktails, one of my top 5 spots of the city.
The initial greeting was slow but everthing was Awesome!!!
Mixologist knew her drinks and was awesome sorry i forgot your name but she worked 2nd floor around midnight
