The cocktail parlor on the 2nd floor is absolutely worth a visit if you like cocktails. The presentation is unique with the comic book menu which gets a refresh on a regular basis. There is also an irish pub on the first floor so make sure to visit the right place.

Great bar with great service. I came here to try the cocktails, but got caught up in the atmosphere downstairs.

Whiskey saloon style bar that is just a little fun and easy to get lost in.

Fun and friendly staff really make this place come to life.

I went for a quick lunch meet. Upstairs is much relax and cozy old feel pub... Rabbit was on the menu and it was delicious. I had a cocktail called Voda 1 ... vodka drink with lime, clear soda, cucumber ... mint... Dish is below

Excellent drinks, and the fries and sauces were delicious. Our Seattleite friends were split on what was the best: one said she had the best cocktail she's ever had (Cool Bananas), and her husband was in love with the decor.

We also had the most patient server I've ever seen -- we could tell the mass of bodies in there for early Saturday drinks was overwhelming, but she was still extremely friendly and cracking jokes. The orders came out a little slowly, but considering it looked like most of the crowd had just got there, I blame our timing more than anything.

Absolutely wonderful bar! I honestly can t speak to anything other than the Irish coffee. However, I can safely say it is indeed the BEST Irish coffee I have ever had. We came back a second night in our short stay in town simply to have another.

The bar itself has a nice vibe, and based on the Irish coffee, I d bet other cocktails are good as well. They also serve beer and have a restaurant area for food.

Downsides: very crowded (but let s be real, it s NYC) and pricey (also an expectation for NYC but ~$16 for a cocktail is expensive).

Despite those, I d totally return for an Irish coffee when in town because it was honestly just THAT good.

One of the most interesting bars I've ever had the pleasure of being in. The food is pretty good, but nothing overly exciting. I got the dead rabbit burger with grueyere. But the real reason you're here is for the drinks. The drink menu is pretty extensive and it is without even much thought I can say these were far and away the best cocktails I've had and are well worth the price. I had the Loud and Clear and the Peace Process, both very different, but both equally delightful and delicious. The place is pretty small and fills up quick, so get there early if you can. Staff was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and helpful, some of the best service I've had. It may be pricey but you get your money's worth. I can't wait to go back and try more of what this institution has to offer.

There is a reason why this bar reaches the top five of lists of best cocktail bars in the world. Don't get distracted by the crowded taproom -- the speakeasies on the second and third floors serve up absolutely delicious and incredibly creative cocktails in a low-key Irish-themed pub space. The menu rotates every 6-8 weeks, so we'll be back for more!

Excellent cocktails! Food was presented perfectly and arrived hot from kitchen. Only wish it arrived staggered, instead of all at once. Bit loud, but that's to be expected on a Saturday night. Great value.

Really cool spot, highlighting the revival of way-downtown (FiDi/battery park) night-life. Conveniently located (just on the other side of stone/water), and absolutely packed most of the time (based on the area), and the general high quality of service. Certainly helped bring the elevated cocktail to the forefront of the New York bar scene - still (deservedly) winning every award out there. While there are other stops nearby, I'm always happy when I wind up here, yet I still have a hard time justifying to anyone who doesn't live in the area why it's worth the trek. It is though. Really finely perfected craft, nice ambiance (maybe a bit dark and moody, but that's kind of the vibe), and very friendly and knowledgeable staff.

I adore this restaurant! They offer tasty food, their menu is rich, The chef in that place is an expert, I enjoy very much tasting all their dishes. The dishes are always of high qualtity, the attitude towards the guests is very good too. I often go to this place and I not even once was discontended. I highly recommend it.

Easily one of the best cocktail bars in New York City (probably obvious from all the awards they get every year). The bartenders are knowledgeable and dress impeccably awesome. The taproom is comfortable with a long bar and nice space (doesn't get too packed and uncomfortable on the busy nights). The parlor is super classy and highly recommended at least once. Cannot wait to come back here again.

Really confused how this has been classed the best bar in the world. It s not even the best bar in the street it s on. Average place - weird atmosphere, weird staff and the food didn t look appealing.

This was the best Irish coffee I ve ever had! We had a few recommendations to go here while visiting the city and the experience was amazing. We had a slight wait before our Statue of Liberty adventure- so this yummy cocktail was the perfect treat!

I found this bar online and couldn't wait to visit and it didn't disappoint. Great choice of beer and great theme. It was very busy, but people came and went so was able to get a seat at the bar and stayed longer than planned. This place is fantastic, would highly recommend. I had the red ale which was great and the allagash beer. Both fantastic

Irish pub in historic building in Financial district, with friendly staff and patrons. Drink menu is pricey, but enjoyed their cocktails. Had lamb shepard's pie, which was a kind of small, but tasted good.

3 floors of unique vibes. The first floor is a very "rustic" bar, the third floor is a quite Irish style bar, but your goal is to end up on the second floor! Cocktail selection is incredibly unique, they change the menu every 2 months.

The cocktails were great and the waitresses were super polite even though the place was packed. Normally when a place is packed like this it's hard to get the attention of the bartender but can't stress enough on how good the service was. Would definitely visit again next time I come to NYC.

This place really is amazing. The simplified lunch menu and incredible food and drink offerings are what makes this place a popular spot for locals and visitors! We had a mix of breakfast, burger, fish, and Lobster deviled eggs. The fish and chips were my favorite - and this is from someone who wouldn't normally eat fish and chips!

Nice Irish bar with a lot of character. The Dead Rabbit has a whiskey selection to die for, and the food menu is fantastic as well. Our bartender was very knowledgeable and helped us make the right selections.

Unbelievable selection of spirits and cocktails with really good 'pub grub' type food if you can get yourself onto the first floor (The Parlour). Ground floor is very busy but great for a few drinks while waiting to get to the more calm first floor for a table and some food. there is a 3rd floor but never made it this far. Even though it is in the financial district highly recommend a visit and is very near the subway. Amazing Irish bar run by 2 Irish lads but no 'diddly-eye' going on here.

Me and my friend were 3rd in the waiting line, waited for 20minutes outside, but we did not get a table when we got in. They just opened the door and let everyone in, and everyone behind us rushed to grab a seat at the bar. Everyone behind us took all seats for themselves but we couldnt. We were there to have late lunch so we were waiting for them to take us to dine in areas which is upstairs, but the stairs were blocked and we had to stand in the middle of narrow hall until I asked one of the employees about the foods. Apparently the only space opened at 2pm was bar, and the space was extremely limited. I dont know about their foods (because I was not seated!) but poor service and management disappointed me very much.

Unparalleled cocktails (nominated the best bar in the world last year!) and really excellent service. The waiters know every detail about every single drink on the menu. I liked the way the old menu booklet looked better (you could buy it), but that's besides the point. Literally any cocktail will leave you satisfied. The food is also good, especially the steak sandwich.

I cant express enough how much i love coming here. You feel really welcomed & dont mind spending hours here. Especially when Jillian is killing it behind the bar! Ive been here many times & always look forward to my next visit.

Captivating place filled with great people watching. Three floors offering their own unique experience. Very good pub style food with a high end culinary twist. Be sure to visit the cocktail parlor on the second floor.

Showed up at 1 AM on a Saturday night looking for dinner. The staff were incredibly accommodating even though we came so close to the time their kitchen closed. They dealt with us quickly and kindly, and the best part was that the food and drinks were simply out of this world. You get what you pay for (bring your most capacious wallet for the absolutely incredible $18 craft cocktails), but it's totally worth it. Will definitely be coming again.

if you want to wait more than 90 minutes ( on a weekday ) for a table and like to be sqwooshed while people stepping on you so this is the place for you. I got there with high expectations and left disappointed and hungry. Will never go back.

Cant say much else other than that the decor is outstanding. The drinks, their components, and the presentation leave a lot to be desired for a bar supposedly so highly rated by critics. Often too crowded to move, only come here to say you've been.

Hands down one of the best bars I ve been to. The drinks are unique and amazing with fresh ingredients and top shelf liquor. The food was typical bar fare, but I d say elevated a notch above what you d expect. The staff was very professional and the bartending a real treat to watch.

Service is horrible , I felt myself that I am seated in an elementary school for lunch , one waitress for 20 tables , I first come and seated , and I was last to be served , waitress took the order of the last seated customers , I end up watching people recently seated eating their lunch, it took the kitchen over one hour and a half to serve my food , unprofessional operation , I used Google recommendation to visit this place which was good, I do not understand how good reviews were posted , they should change the DEAD RABIT name , DEAD OPERATION RESTSURANT . IN addition , menu items were overpriced no without the money you pay for the food , since this place is a pub , most likely pro ppl eating the food after being DRUNK , don't know what they are eating

Very interesting place. Down stairs is a huge old style Irish pub. Saw dust on the floor and all. Upstairs is a swanky cocktail bar that you need reservations to get into. I went to both. The mixed drinks in both sections where very good and elaborate.

The whole place has it's own lore with a comic book series based losely on new York Irish mobster history. It's pretty extra, but does it right.
