Quite simply, this bar surpassed my already high expectations.

I work with a lot of bars in my job, I drink a lot of cocktails. I am also hugely cynical and jaded when it comes to Best Bar lists.

The mixed drinks on the second level, The Parlour , are easily the best cocktails I ve ever had in my entire life. I ve already apologised to my friends who own amazing cocktail bars around the world for this statement. Well-crafted, impeccably served and the menus, graphic novel themed, are just sheer brilliance.

I ve never sat in a bar and read through a menu whilst drinking a cocktail and struggling to devise what to order next.

I did here.

I ll say it now...this is my favourite bar in the world.

And I drink in a LOT of bars.

Food and drinks were excellent. The downstairs bar is a decent sized space with food and drinks available. We waited for seating upstairs and enjoyed their more complex and interesting drink menu - as well as delicious foods. Hands down was one of my top 10 favorite burgers, the food was fresh and tasty. Service was great, as were recommendations from the staff.

Based on the suggestion of a friend, went here one night while in town on business. The small and cozy room is dominated by an extensive list of drinks on tap ranging from familiar to exotic and seasonal.

Small pub/cocktail bar that was once rated the best bar in the country and it definitely doesn't disappoint down to the saw dust spread across the floor. They have a vast whiskey selection as well as respectable beer choices including a beer made just for them. The food menu is always changing and every time I've been had been extremely good. And the bartenders are not only social and talkative but know how to make drinks. A must for visitors and residents of NYC alike.

Wow! This place is fantastic! Had the best Irish coffee I've ever had. Food is great too. Ambiance is that of a traditional Irish pub, this is the real deal people. Go get brunch there! Staff are very nice and helpful.

Great liquor store. It has all kind of liquors and always got the newest best selection. Prices of liquors were lowest. Staff is kind and amiable. Great customer service. Highly recommend!

Really atmospheric bar in Downtown Manhattan. Has live Irish music. Delicious sounding cocktails and decent enough selection of beers on tap served by the pint on the ground floor. Great place to escape from reality with friends.

Have been returning here since 2015. My favorite cocktail bar in the city for modern classics. It's a cool mix of old NYC with a very modern twist, and yet it's an Irish bar that stays true to its roots.

Lovely little gem of a bar with friendly efficient staff. Doesn't have the OTT feel of a typical New York Irish pub. Wouldn't be out of place on Baggott Street in Dublin. Impressive range of Irish whiskey. Traditional music on Sundays is a bonus.

THE DEAD RABBIT HOPS,

THE DEAD RABBIT HOPS,
at least in its ground-floor taproom, where some fifty iterations of Irish whiskies are on display and the bartenders are discerning about the Irish and some 200 other liquors. Grand small dishes and bar food. We were comped an appetizer mistakenly ordered, as we awaited the correct one. Old school that, but still best practice. We overtipped. Old school back at you.

The food was pretty good (although prices do reflect that!) - the starters and small plates especially were excellent, although the fish and chip batter was very thick and doughy, might have just been a bad batch but everything else was great. The cocktail menu is fantastic. Overall though the place does seem to be becoming a victim of its own success - we went on a weekday outside normal meal hours and it was PACKED. Barely room to move and just about squeezed in upstairs. Service was extremely slow (over 20 minutes even to take our drink order), though hard to blame the servers as they seem understaffed. I m sure if less busy this would be a nice venue but needs more servers.

Such history here. When it's cold, windy, and you've been walking all over Manhattan there is nothing better than a bit of whiskey to lift your spirits. Stepping into this bar you can feel the years of people, age of the spirits, and weight of knowledge behind it all.

My friend wanted to buy a t-shirt from this bar. It costs $30, which is kind of high, but I get it. Then my friend asked for a paper bag that had the bar's logo on it. The employee said they charge 50 cents for the bag, to which my friend said fine. He goes to ring up the purchase but comes back and says the bag is actually 2 dollars. 2 f-ing dollars! And this is not some fancy, durable reusable shopping bag, this is a plain, brown paper bag with a picture of a dead rabbit on it. Is your bar so hard up for money that they charge a customer, who just spent $30 on a t-shirt, $2 for a stupid paper bag? Or do you think your customers should feel honored for overpaying for some hipster garbage? Pathetic.

Atmosphere
It's all good.
If you are nearby
I like to go to eat between meals!

Three levels of awesomeness. We went here on Sunday and it was packed. Third floor had the lowest wait time so we chose that. It is casual setting. Irish Coffee and Lamb chops were super awesome.

Best bar that I've ever been to. Each floor has a distinct environment, with a speakeasy on the top floor and a casual restaurant for small plates and cocktails on the second floor. Try the hot pastrami or chicken pot pie with a comic book themed drink for a hearty meal. It is popular though, so expect to wait for seating.

Really good drinks, the food was good, gotta try the truffle Fry's or chips as they call them. It can get crowded but they help find you a slot on the the other 2 floors if the 1st bar aera is packed. A all around good time

Amazing. We had a pleasant late lunch upstairs. Our table had the Dead Rabbit Burger, Corned Beef Sandwiches, Ham and Cheese Toasties, beverages and desserts. All sooo good!! Atmosphere was cozy and service was welcoming and attentive.

A two story restaurant and bar. The first floor is an Irish bar with a large menu and plenty of drink options. It's the upstairs cocktail bar that makes this place for me. A changing menu of amazing cocktails. The staff are very helpful at finding the right drink for you. Definitely have the Irish coffee before you go

The cocktails are great and so is the food. I highly recommend trying the house whiskey, and the fish and chips are absolute perfection. However this is a bar first and foremost, so it's difficult to rate my dinner experience the full 5 stars. Seating is cramped so expect to get jostled by traffic unless you're seated against a wall. The level of crowding also slows down service although the staff are all super friendly and trying their absolute best.

Great bar, with a large array of Scotch's and Whiskeys. The cocktails we're good and the atmosphere was pretty chill. We only hung out downstairs and it was pretty tight squeeze. All in all had a great experience and definitely coming back to try the food that kept passing me by.
