Wonderful interior and outdoor seating, excellent service, and the quality of the food was especially surprising, given how touristy the area is. Unique cocktails, some local ingredients and beers, and very good food. The views and outdoor seating are great. You pay a little more for the location, but worth it.

Drinks and food are amazing here! It s a big place too, with lots of table, bar, and patio space. It s a great place if you re a big group looking to have a good time. It s a big happy hour and weekend spot for locals

I have been wandering this neck of the woods for years and saw this place get built. So when I stopped in I was excited. It didn't last long. Ordered the pretzel to start and it was, well, not good. Very dry, very large and quite hard. I reckon one of the street vendors would have faired better with one of their frozen pretzels. Followed this up with fish and chips for my significant other and I had the chicken skewers. The fish and chips were largely batter and rather tasteless. Something was also not quite right with the tartar sauce. The skewers were ok but nothing worth writing home about. The cous cous that complemented the dish was incredibly dry and was lacking in flavor. Service was OK, seemed like he was a young student just phoning it in. Long story short: nice view, probably good for drinks but would recommend people try the other great local spots for food. Pier A's food gets trumped by a TGI Fridays or, dare I say, Applebees.

Skip, skip, and skip the food. It's TERRIBLE. The hot dog, fish and chips, and chicken tenders were terrible and waaaaay overpriced. The service was very bad as well. The server didn't get our drinks right the first and second time. Terrible service. You are mainly paying for the location and the sights around it. Definitely just a place to drink - even that is overpriced as well.

Here you probably live from the good location! Disastrous how the staff takes care of the customers. So many employees but very few have a plan of what they should or should do. The food was good, as was the view.

We stumbled into this bar/restaurant by pure happenstance. Looking for a bathroom we found a beautiful bar while waiting for our Statue Of Liberty Cruise. We were able to get out of the rain and we met such nice people! An eclectic place of people that is what America is all about. A great thank you to the Staff of Pier A in Battery Park! Thank you Marco, Misi, Ruebens, Connor and Emmanuel for everything! We will be back!

This is literally one of the worst restaurants in all of New York. The service is horrible. The waiters choose to argue with customers instead of making sure they are taken care of. When our waiter would come around he would mumble when he More

This place is really COOL. They have one area outside where you can enjoy the river and liberty statue view with a beer or food. Algo Inside you can eat and drink too. In both areas have DJ playing nice music.

The beer is between $6 and 9. No bad for the view that you can enjoy.

The food is OK and good sizes that you can share. The mozzarellas sticks with the MariNara sauce really good; The oysters were fresh with different sauces. The nachos and the fried shrimps are ok.

The employs very nice and friendly.

Definitely is a nice place to have fun and enjoy some drinks and with a good view.

See you in another review.

Food sucked. Honestly I have never had such dry chicken. The quantity is also so little. The server and hostess were awesome. But you go to a restaurant to eat food. I didn't finish even half of the lemon chicken because it was so dry. The hummus was sour and the potato wedges were over done.

Second best view of the city, although the bars next to this park are the best to sit at since you got this great skyline! So close to the Path so its a no brainer to visit on your way in or out of the city!

5 stars for the location alone, get yourself to the end of Pier 1, pick a beer up at the bar and have a seat on the deck. Look over the harbour and bask in the history and beauty of New York. Tourist trap worth the visit.

Order at the bar and you get a tracker for the server to bring the food to your table. Outside sitting has great views to just sit back and soak up the rays. Nachos you can easily share between three and four people.

The food is OK, but the location and atmosphere is what makes this place really stand out. Indoor and outdoor seating has views of the harbor and Statue of Liberty. The interior is an elevated styling is nautically themed.

I had walked past this establishment many times for years before visiting for the first time recently. I was previously under the impression that this was a step above a casual bar/restaurant, but that is not the case. This place is huge, with a lot of standing and sitting room inside and of course outside. I went on a Friday night and was a little shocked that it was super packed, but that was definitely a plus for me. Drinks are a bit pricey (3 drinks came to about 60. But I guess it also depends on what you Order right), but you are also getting some good views. The music was good and the patrons were diverse.
I haven t tried their food, but the system they set up wasn t clear. It seems they have windows you can order food from, but I didn t notice anyone waiting for their food so I wonder if they bring the food to you after you find a seat?

Staff was rude and bartender was not at all kind. Understand she was busy and not capable of keeping up but it's not my fault. Security was nice enough though. Can't comment on food, never got a chance to order food/drinks. Servers or bartender were unwilling to take our order. Treated very poorly, worst exp so far in NYC. Never going back, thanks.

Great for drinks, $8 pints
, $6 cans of beer. Food is overpriced for what you get. Service is fine.

Perfect place for happy hours! Went here for drinks during my birthday week and absolutely loved it. The view is amazing and it feels like you re on a boat. The food options aren t too bad. It gets pretty crowded and music is lit. Going back again soon!

Huge touristy place. Very large bar, smallish menu surprisingly not mostly fish/seafood choices. Lovely setting. We ordered 2 dishes to share. The first, lobster slider was good but even after asking several times and waiting an hour the second dish never arrived. Not sure I'll be going back.

Fantastic place for social opportunities. Loved the water views and the ample size. Trendy crowd. Especially perfect during hot weather for its outdoor seating. Just sit back and enjoy the Lower Manhattan experience

They recently rebranded to The Oyster House I believe. In the process they changed their menu, getting rid of a lot of their great drink options. The food is still decent. They got rid of waiters and waitresses for drinks and bar food, so everyone in your larty has to order individually at the bar now instead of receiving table service. It also feels more like a sports bar now, with a lot of neon signs and televisions. I think it was better when they kept their historic feel. Still a good place to grab a drink but the feel of the place has changed for the worse.

Being a Battery Park resident I do love this venue.

If you are looking at an event venue it is also a great space. I have conducted a number of charity auctions in the upstairs function area and bar including one last week. A great venue to consider for your next event.

Good pints of Guinness food in paper plates - a thick piece of fish in the sandwich, becoming a tourist trap and after work is mobbed by the guys from Wall Street and gets noisy. The bar itself and the location are fantastic. Pick the time of day that suits you

Inspired by the old oyster houses of New York and the fish market traditions of Lower Manhattan, The Oyster House at Pier A is a free-flowing space. It has plenty of big tables both inside and out, which are ideal for large groups, and the menu is full of straightforward, seafood options (mostly deep fried) that s easy to share.

The food is not the reason you re coming here, most items are deep fried and somewhat greasy and obviously overpriced for what you get. The view is the draw with unobstructed view of lady liberty.

I got the Crab cakes which comes with fries, doesn t have much flavor and is pretty greasy, make sure to have plenty of napkins. You place your order with cashier and they will bring to your table (even if you are outside which is a plus!)

Beautiful location to grab some drinks while watching the sunset
