A really enjoyable shopping experience. The gourmet food court area was especially good. Excellent cakes and coffee and delicious take-away salads and meat for dinner. Staff very helpful.

I really feel sorry for the staff at David Jones. I have spent a very frustrating morning trying to get through to the electrical departments of both the City and Bondi Junction stores.
The worst offender was B.J. with after 15 minutes of being on hold with intermittent " Still trying to connect you" from the operator - I was advised apologetically " Still trying!!. I politely told them to forget it.

Customers require service - Get with the programme David Jones!!!

Great place for brunch. Fantastic range of luxury products. Regular, huge bargains. Confident, professional service.

What's not to love?

Incredibly strange place. Hostile and cold. The staff seemed stressed and disinterested. I felt sorry for them. However, this does not excuse how rude the service was that we received from the counter. Waitstaff were more polite. I would still actually rather sit in a food court, this place is awful.

David Jones...not about costumer service, just signing up for American Express card. Had a new D.J store card, went to the costumer service at Bondi junction store to validate it in order to make a purchase, the staff member was too busy trying to convince a costumer to sign up fo the AMEX card. I was invisible, so I decided to go to another store and had a great costumer service, staff member fantastic, great knowledge of their product, very happy with my choice of gift and the store.
Once again no staff and the service does not exist............

Classic David Jones, consistent across the country. What special in Bondi Junction is their newly renovated foodcourt. There is plenty selection with a high-class design and service. Other than that, this is the same David Jones that you may encounter elsewhere.

Stopped in for a coffee and had a scone as well. The coffee is really good, strong. The food here is also good if you are after a cake or something savoury.

Lovely modern store many labels available for purchase. This store has an excellent food hall on the lower ground. Many eat in options everything from pizza, sushi ,oysters or roast beef dinner.

Asian staff speaking foreign languages to eachother. Not a good look and no service. A little disappointed seeing as though I needed assistance with Tom Ford perfume.

I love this department store. However it is very expensive. Staff very polite. A delight to stroll through.
The food Hall is a wonderful place to find all sorts of hard to find delicatessen type foods with an oyster bar where one can enjoy fresh oysters and a glass of bubbly etc. Plus much more!

Place is dead, bad stock and staff prefer talking to each other than serving customers. Don't go here, unless you are desperate!!

30min for two coffees - not on. Sure it was a Saturday and the running staff seemed to try there best but seriously under staffed for a weekend.

Food hall has quality produce and great take away food options. The pizza place is also some of the best pizzas I ve in Sydney. Hidden Gem while shopping and need a bite.

David Jones, you don't have any sugar free drinks for diabetes, water isn't good enough.

Service experience needs improving, very expensive vs. quality of food.

It's simply hilarious and sarcastic how they can put in charge of customer care (!!) a south american lady (MB) with the lowest possible human standard of kindness and politeness. Unbelievable

I think all David Jones stores are getting a little dated now, but this one is one if the nicest and offers a great food court on the bottom level

We had lunch there it was very clean and food excellent

David Jones food hall at Bondi Junction was lovely. The team were really helpful and just the right amount of attentive without being clingy. I was after something indulgent and decadent. I was directed to the individual chocolates... And was impressed that the lady I spoke to was spot on with her suggestions. Exactly the treat I was looking for.

Terrible service. Staff in cafe argued with me about my order when they served me the wrong coffee. The customer was right!

Terrible terrible customer service at parcel pick-up. Better off going in store and purchasing what you need.
Rang a number of times and was promised someone would be there to help within 5minutes. 1 hour I waited & still no one.

I feel sorry for the designers who sell their lovely cloths through DJ's at Bondi Junction. We found a beautiful Ellery dress only to find it in a state of disrepair. After seeking assistance from a store assistant about another dress which in the end did not have the size we were after, a size 12 (which she eluded to being a "big size") only wanted us to obtain a store card. Which I assume she made a commission on. After fighting for change room space with wall paper hanging off it we left empty handed. Not to worry we ended up spending our money in one of Westfields designer stores. David Jones was very messy and a lot of the cloths are damaged. Sorry but I am not paying anywhere near the prices they command on damaged goods and when asked for a discount they only take 10% off. Will not waste my time.

Food hall has switched emphasis from shopping to eating, so variety and range of produce has diminished accordingly. Which is a shame if that's the reason for visiting...

The food hall is very good. I can highly recommend.

This place is good, lots of variety in brands and lots of services here but the reason why its 3 stars is because I've had issues where no staff member would serve me when I wanted to buy a fragrance they knew I was there but no one wanted to come forward and help me and I had to wait 20 min to be served when there was only 1 person at the register being served and there's like 3 or 4 other staff members around yet non asked me "if I need help" little bit disappointing.

The place offers a wide variety of branded clothing and much more, a bit expensive for a mediocre.. free alterations are available only if u have David jones card which has an annual fee of $296 or something.

Advertsed goods are not available. Come back in 2 weeks.the staff that are available cant explain the dyson heaters. And fonally we got someone aftet 15 minutes who was able to let us know we have to come back in 15 days.

A classy place to eat, surrounded by the best fresh produce and gourmet deli treats. Loved my perfect thin crust pizza and the absolute top-shelf selection of wines. Steve Costi's Famous Fish, located within DJ's, makes an astoundingly good grilled salmon, chips and salad. A great place to indulge yourself!

Went to the oyster bar for a birthday treat. Very disappointing. Only one waiter on who was run off his feet. When the oysters finally came they were minute and the mornay and kilpatricks were tepid at best.At $48 a dozen this is serious rip off territory and to be avoided which is a pity as the concept is a good one but this one is badly run.

Beautiful store! But that's about it :( Service is, and has always been scarce.

Tempted by the pastries display cabinet in the cafe, we decided to take a seat and wait to be served. It took about 5-10mins for anyone to make eye contact with us before someone finally brought us a menu. And another 10-20mins before we gave up and left.

A few months later we returned with some friends looking for lunch and hoping for better service. Nope! Still super slow. One meal was not put through on the order. And a request for water was forgotten. Trying to get someone's attention to ask about the water at the end of our meal proved impossible.

Food was restaurant quality but the service unfortunately let the overall experience down.
It was difficult to catch the Waiters/Waitresses attention and they seemed unsupported, no Manager to be seen, kitchen staff didn't talk to each other, the staff generally looked quite unhappy to be working there...perhaps they are all underpaid or don't have sufficient hospitality experience!?!

I really like the new refurbished food court here. We stopped in for a quick coffee during our shop on Saturday morning. We had quick table service which is nice and the coffee was delicious. Would deffo recommend

We didn't appreciate getting followed by the security guard. We were browsing at the men's section looking for coat for my husband when I noticed the security was following us around the store until we left.

Not something we would expect from David jones Bondi specially when we just spent almost 300$ at their store.

Awful wait staff who told me I couldn t eat the food I had paid for there. Food is extremely overpriced. As a bondi local, I wouldn t come back here again, there are plenty of better places

The lady attended us in Clarins was amazing. I was very happy with the services.

I went to Level 1 to buy a kettle and a toaster and the staff were chatting with each other and I was completely ignored. They should talk less and help people more. Is there a manager there?

Horrendous experience in ground floor (FOOD COURT) toilets at lunch (1.30pm)
There was excrement all over the toilet seat. Fair enough, this is not necessarily DJ's fault, it could have just happened...However, when I went in to a cubicle, it had a broken toilet paper dispenser, so no toilet paper, and it would not flush. Every cubicle was asking the next one if they had any toilet paper. Upon leaving the toilet, I discovered there was also no soap in any dispensers and no paper towels.
A cleaner then came in wearing casual clothing with a visitors badge, so one can only assume the actual cleaners were sick today or DJ's has slashed it's cleaning budget. Which leads me to think that the excrement was probably there for quite some time. And this is where people go to eat!
Either way, this is totally unacceptable. Needless to say, myself and the other patrons in the toilets did not purchase anything from DJ's today, and I am highly unlikely to do so in the future.

Incredible quality and variety, staff friendly, the staff have very little if any product knowledge, no name tags on clothing, apart from this the sales products are quality.

Incredibly bad service, food is great but unfortunately the staff really have put me off, both visits we received the most surly service - I regretfully gave them a second shot, there won't be a third!

Today I visited David Jones at Westfield Bondi Junction to purchase a wedding gift. I bought an Alessi product that was $300. I was in a rush and I assumed they would quickly wrap the gift for me. I was surprised that I had to visit another part of the store and actually pay money for this service. Naturally, I left because I was in a hurry. While I was annoyed, I was actually more amused to finally understand why the Australian Department stores are barely staying financially afloat. Despite David Jones' constant PR promoting their re-developments, their re-branding, their supposed world-class omni-channel retailing, they cannot get the basics right. Everyday product offering and sub-standard service. If you want to attract people to a bricks and mortar store, make it a special experience. Online retail offers convenience, and everything about David Jones' service offering is inconvenient.

My No. 1 Store at all times, I purchased almost everything from DJ.

Younger staff. Much better service. Staff were young happy and interested in helping you.

I purchased a cake from the new David jones food hall and unfortunately the cake wasn't very nice, it was dry and not very flavorsome. I contacted the store and the immediately called me back and the general store managed (Rashid-spelling) was so polite and apologetic. He offered to give me a replacement product of my choice, and the replacement product was fantastic. Great customer service from everyone involved.

Terrible service! Had to go there twice and still nobody there to help. They kept on saying the person in charge of this specif brand is on break! On a Thursday, shopping day, not just there is only one person to serve but she takes her breaks on the busiest times of the day!
DJ's staff were not able to help and claimed that this brand has a special way of sorting stock that they can't follow.

One of the shopping places like Sogo if in Indonesia. Many brand items. Many promos are also here. If the item you have purchased can be reversed within 30 days without removing the label and in good condition. Some of the staff are not friendly. Looks rude.

it is unbelievable expensive!!!!. knowing that, they don't match the price other stores not worth it going there!..

Lovely food hall except popular Fish & Chips section where the battered fishes are not fresh. Seafood run by Costi. Otherwise solid 3 stars.
