I would give 0 stars if I could. We bought furniture in August and was told that we should expect it to arrive in November due to Covid. We understood and accepted that things were delayed. It is January and our furniture is now expected to come in March. We paid for furniture 6 months ago and we have to wait 2 more months to possibly get it (doubtful considering the delays we've already had), it is unacceptable.

1.) Darvin has refused to inform us on multiple occasions when our furniture was delayed, we had to call them.
2.) Customer service was unprofessional. They insult you for questioning why the furniture is taking so long to arrive.
3.) Dishonest when it comes to arrival times of furniture.

We cancelled our order and bought furniture from Crate and Barrel and Home Goods the day of. We will never step foot in a Darvin establishment ever again.

It's been over five weeks and still no couch or recliner. Customer service indicated that they may know something at the end of February. That would make it two months from the date of order. No one seems to know when my furniture will be available for delivery. However, the payment went through same day.

I find it odd that this store has 4 stars. I bought furniture from them and the furniture never came or they kept delaying the delivery for 2-3 months. They basically tell you when the times comes for delivery that it s going to take another 3 months. Then advise that it s not their problem it s the manufacture. Please do not buy furniture from them unless you want to be frustrated and ignored by their administration. The good reviews on here are fake. Trust me don t buy anything.

Our 1st time visiting the store, I highly recommend Dino he is on the upper level, he was very patient with my wife,helpful and friendly, he was NOT pushy what so ever and he let us take our time we did not feel rushed and we most definitely did not feel like he was getting irritated with us as we were debating between 2 bed sets which was a big plus for us! Thank you Dino for making our experience a good one!

Was totally overwhelmed at first walking in, there's so much furniture, so much to look at! We walked around looking for awhile with out being hounded or stalked by sales associates, which I loved. I liked that I was able to go to them when I was ready to start asking questions. I managed to get in 7000 steps while there, now that's a good shopping day....and yes, we will be anxiously awaiting the arrival of our new CUSTOM ordered furniture. I'll never go anywhere else, was with the hour drive and traffic!

I ordered a recliner and sofa at the end of August... my recliner arrived as expected within a couple of weeks... although I wasn t told at the time of purchase, the sofa was on back order and didn t arrive until the end of October... in the meantime, my daughters purchased the matching loveseat for me as a birthday and Christmas gift... originally the loveseat was supposed to arrive mid-October... when I got the call about the sofa delivery, I asked about the loveseat... after numerous calls, I found out that the loveseat wasn t expected until mid d-November! I patiently waited until 11/30 and called again... I m now told that they don t expect the piece in until mid-December!! All I get are scripted apologies, and being told the store has no control over the factory!! I never received the courtesy of a phone call about the delays... phone voicemail messages go unanswered... the sales manager promised a call that I m still waiting for!! I understand that in today s crazy world, nothing is as we re used to... but customer service shouldn t change... I have purchased furniture from Darvin in the past, as have 2 of my daughters... until now, we have had pleasant experiences... unfortunately the business has seemed to change into a cold, uncaring, scripted-response entity... not the kind of place I want to do business with... the only positive is the delivery guys... they were absolutely great!!!

December 16, 2020... final note!! Received the loveseat today! Delivery personnel were great!!! But...

As the responder suggested, I called Karajan to discuss my problems... not surprisingly, just got voicemail and my call wasn t returned (what a shock... Not!!!)

I am DONE with Darvin... their furniture is nice, the prices seem reasonable, but if you re looking for any support or customer service, you won t find it with this place!! There are too many options these days to choose from rather than be treated with no respect as Darvin has done to me during the last 4 months!! Go somewhere else!!!

I have been searching for the perfect sofa for our new apartment downtown. Not only was Linda very helpfully but she gave me my space to look on my own which I liked. She was able to get me great deal and I get the couch delivered the same week! Linda thank you for your professionalism and your great customer service! I am very disappointed with this company. We purchased a couch set back in August, and we were told that we would not receive the couch until late November. This was understandable due to covid. However, as the end of November approached, we had to call about the status of our couch, and they then said it would be ready until the second week of December. We were very frustrated as we had already gone months without a couch. The second week of December comes, and no call from Darvin. We then had to contact them again regarding the status of our couch, and they said there was another delay and our couch would not be delivered until the last week of December. The day finally came for the delivery, and they delivery men said that the couch would not be able to fit in our doorway so we had to pick a new couch. After months of waiting for couch, this was the result. No couch. We then called the administration office numerous times (about 10-15) times to request a refund. Again, very disappointing that it took so long to get in touch with someone to process this request when Darvin promotes they have excellent customer service. Excellent customer service means timely service. The customer service representative that I spoke to also did not seem sympathetic at all to our situation. This was a debacle.
I will not be buying from Darvin at all, nor would I recommend anyone else to. Their products are cheap meaning quality wise, and you can get much better quality at the same price at other places. I would try the Naperville Crate and Barrel Outlet instead. Good prices and quality products. No frustrations or fuss.

I really enjoy the fact that the sales associates do not hound you there. Diana helped me to get what I wanted and asked Brandon, another sales associate, what a certain protocol was in case I changed my mind. 2 opinions always help out as well to get a final decision. The two of them working together helped me make my choice. Thank you Diana and Brandon.!!

FRAUDULENT COMPANY

I purchased a bed and two night stands from Darvin's webpage worth 1,400 dollars the 15th of August. The money was taken from my account.
I got an email from Karjan Dambaugh (Darvin financial department) a couple of days after saying my purchased had been flagged for possible fraud. She asked me to send a photo of my passport and the debit card I used to pay. I did that. Everything was fine, she told me delivery would call me to schedule.
Delivery called and I schedule the day and time.
My furniture was delivered the 2th of September. I got a receipt and everything.
The 4th of September I got a call from Eileen Burke ( I suppose also financial department) demanding I give her my credit card details because the payment form my furniture did not go through. I did not give the details because the payment did go through. I told her that. I also sent her my bank statement proving it and gave her the folio of the transaction. I even called my bank, they told me the payment did go through and suggested I give her the folio (the one I had already given her). That was it, I did not hear back from her.
The 30th of September Darvin charged my bank account 1,400 dollars without my authorisation. This means they used my card details, probably the ones I gave Karjan Dambaugh back in August, to take money from my account for a payment I had already done. That is by definition FINANCIAL FAUD. They stole 1,400 dollars from me.
I am challenging the transaction with my bank, but it is a pain. It will take a couple of months to get sorted out. In the mean time, I am left 1,400 dollars short thanks to Darvin.
If the situation does not get solved soon I will proceed with legal action.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT GETTING INVOLVED WITH THIS COMPANY.

She was very personable, listened to what I was looking for and showed us plenty of options that met our needs. Generally speaking it's a store you should visit when shopping around for furniture even if it's not the best, they have a lot to offer and usually have their furniture in stock because they bulk order, ready to ship and with free shipping.

After searching the Darvin website and finding several living room sets I liked I was ready to visit the store. I didn't know exactly when I would go until my friend called and said she had received a letter regarding their 10th Anniversary sale.

We arrived at Darvin on the last day of the sale and were connected with our knowledgeable and friendly sales consultant, Jeff Blocker.

I informed him of my online search, the colors and style of furniture I desired and he began to work his magic.

He walked with us, showing the various sets in my desired color at different price ranges. Once I settled on the set I wanted, he walked me to the finance department where I was immediately approved for a credit card and they paged Jeff to return. He advised me of my delivery date, gave me his business card for questions, future visits and then walked us to the same door we entered. I emphasize this because we passed other doors to get to the one we entered. Since I use a cane, I thought it was so nice of him to go with us to the same one we entered which was closest to my car.

I was very pleased with my Darvin shopping experience and will always request Jeff Blocker for my sales consultant.

We were impressed at the Black Friday sale with the amount of inventory. We were not impressed with the outlet clearance items pricing. They had some items that were damaged that in my opinion they should have given away to Goodwill or really priced them to sell to whom ever wouldn t mind fixing once they got home.
Items could have reflected a better sale for the consumer, but it did not. They marked up and presented it as a Sale!

Selection is awesome, our sale person Oscar was very helpful and the quality for what you pay for is so much better than other furniture places we ve shopped at. Bought a bed and will go back again next time we need furniture.

Today I did a second trip to Darvin Furniture and once again the salesperson was excellent, and had wonderful customer service skills. He was able to help me answer all questions and I walked away with more wonderful furniture. I highly reccomend Darwin's furniture.

My chair was delivered with several fabric flaws. I immediately called so that they could replace the chair -left the first of MANY messages.
For OVER A MONTH I have been calling, texting, filling out on line forms, sending photos... and I cannot even get anyone to call me back!!
I will never purchase anything from Darvin again.

She was extremely helpful and professional. Horrible horrible horrible customer service , warranty is a joke, they have no intention of following through, and absolutely no intention of holding to their promises, should have went to the room place, they may not have the selection, but at least they're forthcoming and Honor their warranty, hell even bob's did better, will never purchase here again, by my guess the cost to litigate will probably be more then the purchase price, but at this point in time it more about the principal, what a shame, and they also in my opinion sullied the name brand of Lane, by not honoring their manufacturers warranty.

I was able to chat with a representative via text regarding questions that I had before making the drive down to the store. And as soon as I arrived at the store Angelo was there to greet us, was patient with us as we searched for our furniture pieces (wasn't pushy). We were in and out within an hour and very satisfied with our purchase. I will be visiting again soon for more. Excellent customer service from beginning to end!

Jeff helped my mom and I pick out an electric recliner. The selection was really big, I probably sat on at least 20 recliners, and that doesn't count the many manual recliners that were on display as well. I was glad to have so many options available on the sales floor to test and feel the fabric rather than trying to order something online that I have never seen in person. He gave us some space to look on our own and I ended up choosing one. The only downside was that it was not in stock, so I had to order it and was therefore unable to get the discounted price I was initially expecting. But it was still a very good price compared to other stores I looked at. I would recommend Darvin and I will shop there again in the future.

Do not buy from them, they are a rip off! During the time of purchase the protection plan was bought for all the pieces. When I needed my furniture to be repaired they did not honor the protection plan at all. Keep in mind I only had these pieces for a year. After going back and forth with Darvin and the company they go through for the protection plan I was informed that they would not be honoring it. So now I am left with six chairs that I am unable to use due to the fear that they may break. I now have to purchase all new chairs and am out hundreds of dollars. If you do decide to purchase from them don't waste your time getting the warranty because all it is, is a waste of your money and your time. I am completely done with Darvin which is sad because so much of my furniture was purchased from them.

We so enjoyed purchasing our mattresses, from the time we walked into the doors and was greeted by Chris who truely made us feel comfortable and his expertise on the product was amazing! Through to the finance department where we were greeted by Annette; her professionalism and charm was genuine. We were greeted by one of the store managers on our way out and he listened with such delight when we told him about our experience.

The furniture in this place is really nice, and they have a lot of things to buy which is good. but the service when it comes to replace a furniture is horrible. My furniture was damage in June 2020, they were able to have someone in July to come and see if they can fix it or replace the furniture since I purchase the warranty. In July they decided to replace the furniture since it was going to be cheaper. But it wasn t going to be replace until September. September came and nobody call me, I called in September and they told me they will get the furniture late October or first week of November. I called last week of October and they now told me it wasn t going be replace until late January of 2021. That will be 6 months! And it s not even a for sure things. Plus someone was supposed to call me this week, nobody ever did, call 2 times left a voicemail and still no call back. I will understand if my Sofa/sofa sectional was cheap or I had it for years, but it was almost $5,000 and I had it for under a year.

The salesman was very helpful in helping me choose my furniture. He was able to give me a great deal and explained everything to me to my satisfaction. I asked for his card and told him I would call when I was ready to purchase another room of furniture.
The saleswoman in the mattress department was equally as helpful. She helped me out a perfect mattress for me.
