The lady I had was very nice but she was training someone I dud not have her full attention. Big sale I did not get anything off i bought a whole frontroom set.6 pieces.
The friendly service without pressure allowed us to easily find the exact deal we were hoping for.
Darvin has such a huge selection to choose from and everyone there is very welcoming and helpful. We will definitely go back there for future purchases.

Placed an order for furniture 4 months ago as Christmas Surprises for my children one being my college student, it was to be delivered in Nov. while she was home on Winter Recess no call from the company stating the furniture would not be available or in stock on stated time frame ( Nov. 23). I reached out to Darvin and was notified the expected arrival date would be mid Dec.. Needless to say as of Dec. 21 no furniture no call with updates so I called to see if it would be delivered before Christmas to be told the delivery is now expected late January. Not only is the Christmas/ Holiday surprise ruined....My college young adult leaves beginning of January so she won't get a chance to see her new furniture. Terribly disappointed although I know things are a bit different with less staff, etc...I would have expected the furniture by now and updates for good customer service. I had already cancelled one order because it was taking longer than expected. The second order was ordered 4 to 5 months ago. Not one call of customer service nor updates provided.

Linda Pecho was extremely helpful when I was trying to order my furniture. She verified exactly what I was looking for, swiftly created the order and had it processed.
So I recently visited the store because I've purchased furniture for my new home and my mother has always done the same but this time it was different, hence the one star. So I go in looking for my previous sales person Napoleon, who was was very helpful but was not there and they introduced me to another person. I wish I knew her name but oh boy what a disappointment. I was looking specifically for a piece of furniture and told this person exactly what I was looking for and my price. As soon as she heard the price what a look of disdain. You see I had done my research and I could've gotten exactly what I wanted within my price range or a little above but I wanted to know my options. She quickly directed me to the fabrics to choose for myself. She didn't walk with me and even said I'll be right back. Not 5 minutes later she's 50 ft away helping another person. I guess my $6000 I'd already spent there meant nothing or maybe it was the color of my skin. I dare not go there but nonetheless choose wisely who you talk to cause apparently they don't care much for those who they think will not purchase anything or of lesser costs.
Grey bluish sofa and yellow graphic pillows bought at Darvin. Large ottoman that matches the pillows and curtains were purchased on Amazon. Throw rug at Menards. (Books were placed on rug edge to flatten). $1827 total for all. Extra pillow from (Marshalls a few weeks later ($40)
Kevin (salesperson) did a great job. He was knowledgeable, courteous & efficient. July 4th sale made our multiple purchases affordable & fun. Great stuff at Darvin. Glad we went back there a second time to make the sale.

Nice selection, but terrible communication after a purchase has been made. Don't bother leaving a VM on their system as they never return calls. I have made an inquiry via VM and through their online system about the status of my order, and neither have been responded to.

We had a great experience today at Darvin in Orland Park; our sales associate, Bill Darcy, was beyond helpful and accommodating in helping us find the perfect pieces for our new home! Bill was beyond knowledgeable in the items offered at the store and helped us find exactly what we were looking for! We purchased two leather sofas and an extra large dining set that will be delivered to us THIS WEEK! So often you have to wait weeks for your new furniture to arrive, but all items were in stock and Bill made sure to set us up with times that work with our busy schedules! We are very much looking forward to our new items to arrive! Thank you Bill for an easy and enjoyable shopping experience!
Whenever I need something furniture related, I always go to Darvin. We have always, always been able to find whatever we need there. Wonderful store.
From the moment I walked in the store I felt a racial vibe, which turned me off of the whole shopping experience. I was given the only black salesman in the place and all the white employees didn't have any time for me, they barely wanted to help me or look at me period. I will NEVER come here again

I went in pretty much set on an extra firm queen set for my guest room. I had spoken with Chris Harris prior to my arrival, so I patiently waited for his assistance. There were several mattresses on display to choose from, although I eventually decided on a Restonic, flip-able, Chantelle XFirm Queen set. It has been delivered and I am quite pleased with my purchase, I tried it last evening and it was very comfortable! I recommend shopping here for your next mattress.

I am very satisfied with Darvin. The furniture I selected was in stock at their warehouse & it was delivered promptly. Other furniture stores I visited stated that factories were running behind due to closings during Covid and I would not receive it for the Holidays. Darvin has a large selection and I was able to select and receive promptly what I wanted.

Placed an order for furniture back in the beginning of September with a delivery date at the end October. Called the week before the date and was told that the date was pushed back to the middle of December. Never received a call. I canceled my order and never received my refund. Followed back up a week later and was told the cancelation was put in but never approved. I asked again to have it canceled and wanted a follow up once it was completed, with no response.

Terrible service at this location. I ordered my furniture in June, and we are nearly in December and I ve yet to receive my furniture. That s not the main issue, what makes me even more frustrated as a consumer is the fact that for the past 6 months not a single person from Darvin reached out to me to update me with my order status. When I call I get placed on hold for at least 30 minutes and they end up hanging up! I have to go out of my way to stop at their store and wait in line to get an update on my order. This is by far the worse retail experience I have ever experienced. I am in retail myself and I would never ever treat any of my customers the way I have been treated here. When I voice my concerns no one cares to assist and they simply tell me if you would like to cancel we understand. Rather than trying to assist me and help me with my order they are encouraging me to cancel my order, not sure what type of training some of the employees at this location received, but I would not recommend anyone do business here.

Darvin furniture sold furniture to my parents when I was a child. We have purchased furniture from them in recent years. A relative of mine has been working there and was just let go. Darvin does not pay their staff. They work on commission only. They sent out pink slips in the mail this last week. I understand things are bad for everyone. I don't understand how a family business that sells furniture to local families can be so cruel. Things are awful for people. Your staff should be treated with respect and compassion. Why couldn't you call people in for a Meeting? Shame on you and your terrible behavior!
Debbie Cline was so patient and attentive. Although we came in with approved financing and the bedroom set that we wanted in mind, we ended up going a very different route due to potential delivery timing. She was amazing! And everything else went smoothly as well!

I had a very pleasant experience on my most recent trip to Darvin. I encountered numerous salespeople on the floor who all said hello and asked if I needed assistance, without making me feel as though I were being hounded. I felt at ease and was allowed to shop in peace until i was ready. Bonnie and Luke both provided excellent customer service, which ultimately lead to me making a purchase.
Purchased from the clearance section at Darvin. We were looking for a great deal on a sofa and chair that could be delivered quickly. We shopped around and found a better deal here than other stores that will be delivered in a week. Very happy with the style, quality and price. Quick delivery sealed the deal. I highly recommend.

My nephew ordered a couch, loveseat, coffee tables ,and dining room set back in June. It s now November and still has not recieved his loveseat, nor dining room set. He has gotten such a run around and no one calls back! I have noticed on google and yelp, alot of other customers are having the same issues. This company should not be taking any orders if the they can not fulfill them. Darvin keeps using covid as the excuse, but they can not sit and take customers money ,if you can not make a customer whole. I also have called them and talked to many sales managers and still no answer. I now have much documentation at this point. Is this a scam??? In fine print on their website says, (which I copied and pasted ) 10% off discount is on certain manufacturers. As a result of the disruption in the supply chain caused by the COVID-19 Pandemic, many manufacturers and their suppliers are experiencing delays and longer-than-normal lead times ranging between 4 to 16 weeks. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Every effort is being made to ensure orders arrive as soon as possible. MY NEWPHEW IS WAY OVER THE 16 WEEKS!
I will never shop from this franchise again. I purchased a dining room table 2 1/2 yes ago, that started peeling on the top. No trauma to the table nor do I have children but the coating is flaking off. I contacted the store and they told me the 1 year warranty has expired. Tables should last more than a year. They refuse to repair or replace the table, I m livid. This is poor customer service and I advise everyone to buyer beware, they don t stand by their products.
I was not pleased at all with Greg the salesman. He consistently gave my son and I the impression that we were bothering him with questions and appeared to be in a rush. I live in North Carolina and I was communicating with him by phone while my son was at your location. I asked him to give me information about the mattress and he basically said that my son just needed to lay on it to see if he liked it. He provided no information as far as selling points or features nor discussed the warranty. Initially he said that bed which we were purchasing was in extremely poor condition. Then all of a sudden he changed his tune stating if it was him that he would purchase it. He made us feel as though he was only I interested in the sale. At one point he asked for my telephone number and my son did not provide the area code. Greg got smart with him and told him that he should have given it to him initially before providing the number. This is the second purchase that my sons have made from your company and both transactions was completely disastrous from beginning to the end. I will never shop at your store in the future nor will I recommend it to anyone.

He offered flexibility in the purchasing process and an incentive to buy the item I wanted. Overall good rating, just wish there was more of a selection of in stock items.

Ken Jones was phenomenal. I had gone there 3 days earlier and was able to browse without hassle. I came back later in the week, and thought I had my mind made up when he showed a different, more contemporary & elegant bedroom set. I ended up choosing his suggestion and I absolutely love it. The payment process was streamlined, and took only 10 mins. Delivery could have been as early as next day, but I chose 4 days later. Overall an awesome experience.
I had given the store a 5 star. They have great merchandise and sales representative are very friendly. When it came to dilevery day, they did not dilever all items. I tried calling and they just pass you from one person to another. Very unprofessional!!!!

We purchased two couches and a chair in July... we were told it would arrive late September due to Covid delays. We understood and said that would be fine. That date was pushed to October... then December... then Mid January... then again to MARCH! We had to cancel as we have been without couches in our brand new home since we moved in in July. I understand Covid delays but it should not take 8 months to receive couches! We never received updates without having to call ourselves. They did try and help by giving a VERY small discount and allowing us to pick from in stock supply (in stock supply was not at all to our liking). We are so disappointed because we love Darvin. But we will seriously be re-considering using them in the future. It s a shame

Unless you're buying an item to take out the door with you, you will NOT be happy in the end. Salespeople are friendly and helpful...until you pay them. Once they have your money, you serve no purpose and are discarded, regardless of whether or not you've received your delivery.
We made a purchase in July, were told delivery by end of August, but are still waiting nearing the end of October, and not once have they reached out to us through all of it. I called them two days before the original scheduled delivery date (it took several calls to different offices) and, after the run-around, was told it would be another month. "It's out of our hands," as is, apparently, the ability to contact their customers.
Second delivery window comes and goes - no word from them. We call and get the same excuses.
We've only received information (always vague and always deflecting blame) when we have contacted them, never the other way around.
You'd get better customer service if you picked a sofa out of the dumpster.

We ordered a sectional at one of their big sales and paid in full. That was in JULY and it is NOVEMBER 9, STILL NO SECTIONAL. They keep sending us sale brochures but can't deliver. That's deception.
