Earlier this season I picked up a 2001 Ducati Monster S4 with about 2000 miles. The bike had been sitting for the past 5 or so years, and the tires were dry rotted and needed to be replaced. Having never owned a Ducati before, I figured that I would goto my local Ducati dealership. When I bought the bike i had noticed that the forks were a bit twisted in there perspective clamps, causing the bike to track slightly askew. Normally I would take care of something like this myself, but seeing that the front tire had to come off for the tire change I asked Great Bay to take care of this for me.

I picked up the bike with the new tires, and started to drive the bike home. The bike tracked better, but the forks were still slightly twisted. I turned around and brought the bike back. This is were things get a bit weird. The guy that I dealt with proceeded to tell me that my forks were BENT. I asked him how that could be, and ask him to point at what part was actually bent, He point at the triple clamp of the bike (a solid piece of aluminum, the in my mind could never bend) and said "right here." I told him that I didnt really think that was possible, and then he raised his voice and said, "I HAVE BEEN DOING THIS FOR 16 YEARS, I KNOW WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT!!"

Wow. I said "ok", and I said I would take care of it myself (knowing that it was a simple fix). At this point he offered to have the guys take one more look at it. 30 minutes later, the bike came back out, and was aligned correctly..

Customer service like this is unacceptable. I will never bring my bike to this place again, and I hope you wont either. This guys lack of knowledge, and argue-ability makes for a very disappointing experience.

I wanted to buy a motorcycle from Great Bay Motorcycles, as, I had dealt with them earlier in the season about a motorcycle brand that they used to represent a few years ago. Mistakenly, based on the manufacturers outdated web site, I visited to schedule a service- as I was in the area. I found the employees to be very knowledgeable, professional, helpful, honest and enjoyable to speak with.

Surprisingly, I 'found' the exact bike I wanted, a Triumph Street Triple 675 R in Matte Graphite, with GBM's assistance. Originally, I was hopig to purchase a Ducati Panigale 899-but, having ridden it at Great Bay, I really didn't like it at all (A GREAT BIKE, just not for me). With good questions, and, a test ride on a Speed Triple (Street's big brother), I was motivated enough to find and ride all of the other bikes on my long list over a week or so. Once I was focused, Billy H. was able to negotiate a great deal, where we both 'won', I got to test ride the showroom bike, and only then was I allowed to put money down on it.

Unlike BIG stores, everyone at Great Bay gets to know you- on a first name basis, from Don the owner to Jessica the receptionist, who just seems to recognize people's voices when they call. Professional, ethical, honest, funny- I found virtually everyone relaxed, alert & helpful from prior to committing to the bike and ever since. Responsive to calls and e-mail, the store has earned my business. Funny, but, now I only own bikes that they currently represent, or, have represented in the past- I can have all three of my motorcyles maintained & serviced in the same place, and, it's only 15 miles from home!

I would send my mother into the store- without a call requesting 'special attention' for her- and, be completely unworried that they would take outstanding care of her. That's how comfortable I am with GBM. Of course, I recommend friends, extended family and anyone who comes to me requesting assistance. As a former car salesperson, who has been exposed to the less savory behaviors available to dealers- Great Bay Motorcycles is the real deal. I think if I called after hours needing a tow in a rainstorm, they would come get me. Does the owner of the store where you bought your last bike know your name? Visit to browse and you'll stay to buy.

No pressure atmosphere, knowledgeable group and super friendly. Sealed the deal for future purchases in European bikes. Already went back for accessories and Josh and Billy didn't skip a beat. Don, the owner, is great and personally goes out of his way to meet every customer. Just a great experience and a outstanding product. Thanks to the Great Bay Motorcycles Team!

Great Bay has been nothing but helpful with information and SUPER patient as it literally took me 8 months from my first contact with Billy until I closed the deal. I am new to the motorcycle world and this was very refreshing.

Do yourself a favor and be sure to stop in and meet Don (owner) who seems to be there daily and talk to Billy in client services/sales...he is a great guy to work with and takes the time to work with you for months on end if that is how you operate.

No pressure process and everyone I worked with had a smile on their faces and you can feel the passion they have for Ducati/Triumph/Vespa.

Theres a reason this place has been in business since 1998 and won numerous Triumph and Ducati dealership awards.
