After checking the BBB ratings and finding Curry is A+ we initiated a transaction online. The price was fair and we set up a phone call to purchase. The staff was professional and the transaction was swift. We then set up a time to take delivery. We arrived and staff were ready for us with paperwork to sign and the car up front ready to go. Everyone was masked up according to state law. The sale was quickly concluded and we drove off with our new Subaru.
If you want an easy purchase during a pandemic (or any time else) Curry Subaru can fix you up. We were completely delighted with every aspect of the people and the purchase.

Service is adequate. The unfortunate part is that I need the service at all. A six year old car should not be in the shop several times a year starting at 30k miles. 2 transmissions, an engine, a ac compressor, a control arm, and 2 sets of rear wheel bearings, all in the span of 75k easy miles is completely unacceptable. Beware of Subarus.

After having a difficult time with a 2011 used forester purchased last fall from this dealership, that unfortunately ended with numerous visits to the service center with issues, Emilio took a bad situation and resolved the matter instantly. He is the true definition of a perfect sales associate. He was honest, he explained all the in's and outs, along with the the pros and cons of getting into to another used vehicle. He was able to get a lot accomplished with the used car manager, and appraised our vehicle at a decent buyback value. Update: Shortly after posting this review I received a call from the dealership apologizing for the issues I encountered and asking what they could do to make things right. They agreed to ship me a new grill for my vehicle and reimburse me for the coolant I had to purchase locally. They did not ask my to update or edit my review once during any of this communication. I wouldn't hesitate to make the 3.5hr trip back to this dealership for another vehicle purchase. By far the most customer oriented dealer I have dealt with.
The sales staff was very responsive and most of the employees we dealt with were great. However, I was told the vehicle I was purchasing (used) had no damage and was in perfect shape. After paying for a 1 way rental and driving 3.5 hours to get there I was disappointed. There were multiple scratches (which I expected) but also a few dents, cracked grill, and the front bumper was popped out of place. None of this was visible in the pictures or relayed to me. They did take a small amount off the purchase price, so I still purchased the car. During the sale the finance department was overly pushing the extended warranty. If I was worried about reliability I wouldn't haven't purchased this vehicle make/model.
After getting the vehicle home and going over it I found a few more dings and what really upset me was the car was low on coolant. So I had to go to my local dealer and spend $40+ on coolant for a top off on a "certified" car. I would hope that all fluids were checked during the certification process but now I feel like I need to do everything myself.
Would I recommend purchasing from them? Absolutely, just like any used car try and see the vehicle in person before making a deal. I was in a jam because my wife was 9 months pregnant and she wanted this specific color combo and options.
Great service - I brought my Subaru in to Cortlandt Subaru for the passenger airbag recall and found that there had been 2 additional recalls I had not received. I couldn't wait for the car as planned since the work would take longer than 2 hours. The Service Manager told me right away so I was able to get a ride home and back the next day. Very good service - all 3 recalls were done by 4:00pm the next day. Everyone in the service department had great attitudes and were as helpful as could be.

I must say, how utterly upset I am. I ve had Subaru s for years , I even bought my current car from this very dealership But when it comes to bringing them in for service this place is absolutely terrible! First they tell me they need my car for 1 day to change a knock sensor, I bring it in and then they tell me they need more time and refused to give me a rental car because it was a Saturday. And that I have to go back and pick it up - mind you I live 20 mins away. Needless to say that Sunday when I got to my car the keys were locked in it and no one but a salesman was in the dealership and could not help me I had to go all the way back home to get the spare key to open it. I was also told that someone was going to call me to reschedule another day and never did I had to reach back out. But it doesn t end there. I finally get my car in almost 2 weeks later to get my car fixed and I was told that I would get it back next day, but they were doing me a favor by giving me Loaner. I then got multiple phones calls during the coarse of that week that my car won t be ready - with master mechanics I don t understand why it took over a week to fix my knock sensor when I was told it would take 1 day. And finally what broke the camels back was when I dropped the loaner car off back to Toyota. I was told I was being charged for not filling up the gas tank and would be charged over $5 per gallon to fill it up. When I was NEVER TOLD TO BRING BACK THE CAR WITH A FULL TANK OF GAS. I will NEVER go back to this Subaru and will never recommend this dealership for such HORRIBLE SERVICE.

I've gotten two cars here over the past six years, and was very happy with both purchases. Last month, my husband and I went back to Curry because my initial experience with them was so positive. Lou worked with us to find a certified used forester with all the options I wanted, and had two for me to test drive the same day. We ended up test driving only the first, because it was perfect! When we asked to have the car ready as soon as possible, Lou offered to get the paperwork pushed through on it for same day take home-- but we opted to pick it up 1st thing in the morning the next day. Very happy with the service and the car.

Be sure to avoid Curry Subaru. As a former Curry Toyota customer, I thought that I would get the same service as I did at Curry Toyota. Instead, I was lied to repeatedly and called/emailed relentlessly.
Curry Subaru salesman John Sullivan accidentally took me out in a car that was a higher end model than the one I inquired about. Then he tried to negotiate with his manager and came down to MSRP on the one that I wanted. John called me the following day to say that I was "right to look elsewhere and could get a better deal.
When two dealerships offered lower prices with more features and better terms, I gave Curry Subaru a chance to match it. John let me know via phone and email that his manager agreed to match the quote. When I asked for the quote in writing, his tone suddenly changed and he told me "that might be a problem." About a half hour later, his manager emailed me as though they had never agreed to match the price. I asked John what happened to his manager promising to match their price and he replied He changed his mind
When I gave them an opportunity to explain why I was mislead, Curry Subaru sales manager Eric Erbsland put it on me as though I was being unfair to expect them to honor the quote and put it in writing. He wrote it would make me a liar if after telling you that $365 was my best deal to then lower the payment further. I don t do business that way. This is seriously how they handle customer service.
In short, Curry Subaru is unprofessional and disreputable. Call around and do your research and avoid dealing with these unscrupulous salesmen.
The staff was extremely friendly and personable. I felt no pressure at all and they answered all my questions. As a young woman buying her first newer car I felt very nervous, but was quickly assured that I found the right dealership. John Graffeo made my car buying experience a pleasant one and I couldn't be happier with the car I purchased.

I own my second Subaru and have always had my Outbacks serviced at Curry Subaru. The service team, led by Phil, is amazing. They go out of their way to make sure your vehicle is ready when promised like yesterday when Damian assisted with a special request. Highly recommend this location for quality service at a reasonable price.
I was greeted immediately upon entering the dealer and they found me a salesperson to work with. Sales associate Marissa Dinki was extremely helpful and informative when showing me the options on the new car and made finding the right one easy. She's very upbeat and attentive and made the experience enjoyable. Gabriel Casanova the business manager I dealt with answered all of my questions and provided me and immediately put together a few scenarios for financing upon my request. There was never any pressure about a particular decision. After picking up the new car, Marissa followed up with me a day later and then a week later to make sure everything with the new car was OK and to ask if I had any questions about any of the features.

I was helping my girlfriend shop for a new Subaru and went to Curry with her in December of 2013.
When we arrived, we were browsing cars in the parking lot and saw a salesman watching us out the window, but he gave us time to look on our own instead of coming out and pressuring us. When we went inside, he met us by the door and introduced himself as Gabe. He was extremely knowledgeable regarding the specs, details and options of each of the vehicles she was looking at. He also took the time to learn about the modern technology of the newer vehicles and was very informative in demonstrating how it worked. He was friendly, personable, and conducted himself as an everyday kind of guy. He didn't use the typical tactics that most salespeople utilize.
Gabe was flexible with negotiations, but stood firm on his bottom number. When it wasn't low enough (another dealership had the vehicle slightly cheaper, but we didn't trust the other dealership), we politely thanked him for his time. He remained polite and tried to find other avenues to negotiate. He kept going back to his manager, who wouldn't budge on the price that she wanted. As we were finally leaving (followed by mutual thank-you's and a handshake), Gabe went back to his manager and met her half-way on the price.
During the course of negotiations, Gabe explained that selling her a vehicle does not stop after she pays and walks out the door. He said that the dealership still cares after you leave and will continue working with you long after the sale. I figured that was a standard line that salesmen are instructed to tell potential customers, but Gabe stood behind his promise. My girlfriend ordered a remote starter and even though it was pre-paid, Gabe still followed through to make sure it was ordered and installed after the fact, when he could have just put her off. He has also called periodically to make sure she was happy with the vehicle, and most recently, he called to wish her a Happy 6 Month Anniversary and was just checking to make sure she was happy with it --- without trying to sell anything or talk her into getting a service.
Gabe is an asset to Curry. He conducted himself professionally, yet he was soft-spoken, personable, and treated her like a customer... as opposed to many dealerships which treat you like you're obligated to them. The follow-ups show great business sense. They could be like most dealerships and forget about you after the sale was made, but Gabe continues doing the right thing and standing behind his sale.
This place is a poor excuse for a business. They sell you a car/lease and then want nothing to do with you. I had problems getting in for an inspection, getting my car repaired when someone rear-ended me, even had issues turning in my car when it was in pristine condition and ridiculously under the mileage I paid for.
The people here seem to have no idea what they're doing. No communication. Terrible customer service, terrible record keeping, employees come and go. They tried to charge me for a valet key that I never received when I got my car originally. They couldn't even answer my questions about my lease, the leasing company THEY set me up with. Manager told me he would call me personally, handed me his card, looked me in the eye, NEVER CALLED.
After 5 days of no phone call, I wrote the above review on Yelp. Magically, I THEN received a VM from Peter, stating that the dealership took care of everything and I didn t owe any additional money on the car. WOW. Their people didn t take care of anything!! I called my own leasing company the day after Pete told me he would call me, and THEY reviewed the Autovin inspection report with me, the terms of my lease and THEY confirmed I didn t owe any money (the excess damages were determined regular wear and tear , AND I had a deductible as a buffer if needed). The fact that Curry Subaru could not even tell me the proper protocol for turning in the car and how to find out this information was ridiculous. The lack of phone call until after my scathing Yelp review, just bad customer service. And the lie on my VM, absurd. I guess this is why people say car salesmen/women are hustlers, huh?
I purchased a used vehicle/Subaru from Curry Subaru. I decided to buy the extended warranty which I was happy I did. I noticed some oil was leaking where I park on my driveway. And my air-conditioning had stopped working als( blowing warm air ). This was probably about four or five months after I purchased the vehicle. To be fair to everybody in the dealership I wasn t expecting them to treat me the way they did. When I purchased the vehicle It was going on three years old with 42,000 miles on it. During my purchase I explain to them that my vehicle was my work I need to go to states throughout New York to perform tests that I do for my job. When I called with my issues they told me to come in and they would look at the oil leak. Initially I hadn t known the air conditioning wasn t blowing cold. I was a little aggravated and jumpy And explained to Jhon that I needed a loaner for work . Jon kept his cool even though I was edgy with him. He told me that that was what they do they take care of their customers. Have to be honest still didn t believe. Brought the car in and they diagnosed the car after less than an hour. They had me on my way with an appointment set up with a loaner. I cannot say enough nice things about Jon the service manager or Nancy the service writer Hats off to them both for being so caring helpful and nice. As a 60-year-old person I will tell you buying a car from a dealership and which dealership is important as the service part of what you re buying usually ends up being the most important . In the future if somebody asked me how was Curry as far as buying a car or their service forget five stars 10 stars really can t say enough about the treatment I received from two people that I really didn t start off with on the best foot with Before my current job I was a restaurant owner and understand service to be so important. I hope upper management is aware of the two gems they have working in service. I hope I don t have to go there again for an issue with the car but if I did I would do it with confidence knowing they would do everything within their power so that I didn t miss a beat. Buy from Curry, so you don t have to worry !

I was notified that my vehicle needed service for a recall. I made an appointment for that and an oil change. The day before my appointment I got an airbag warning light on the dash. I called service and they said they would take care of that also.
Jordan from service was great. They utilized appropriate social distancing and mask use. Jordan kept me up to date on the status of my vehicle. The courtesy car was brand new and sanitized before given to me. Excellent customer service.
Gabriel Kourie was our product specialist the day we purchased a Subaru Outback he was very considerate of our financial situation and did not pressure us into purchasing. I had a great, easy-going experience. The guys at Curry Subaru were really helpful and very nice. I found a car in my price range with low mileage, but couldn't get it because it was standard and I only know how to drive automatic. The staff helped me find another vehicle just as nice with low miles also and dropped the price so it would be equivalent to the first one I had seen. The process was very quick and the car came with the original warranty which covers just about EVERYTHING. My experience there was great and I'd recommend anyone to go, the guys are amazing and you won't regret it. You'll leave very happy and 100% satisfied. They're really willing to help. Went to Subaru with my older parents to help them choose a new car, our salesman Marc was extremely helpful in assisting which was better for their needs the Forrester or the Crosstrek, listed all the info from memory and helped get us set up with a test drive. On the road he had lots of information on mpg etc and was great in telling us all the relevant info of the updated tech in these newer cars. We ordered that day and about a week later went in to pick it up. Marc had highlighted important parts of the manual and took us into the car for an in depth tour of all the features and even sync ed my moms phone to the car. It was a great experience and when the time comes for me to upgrade my ride I m going to see Marc at Curry Subaru!

This was my 7th and by far the best car buying experience. Every aspect of it was excellent.
To start, they offer "no hassle" prices up on their website (which no other SUBARU Dealer in my area does). I had done a ton of research on True Car and Consumer Reports and I knew this was a fair and competitive price. The only fee on top of this (beside tax) was a NY documentation fee of @$97.50 and some cost specific to our need to register the car in CT which is done at cost (~$300 about half of which are CT fees and half is the cost of the service to take care of it).
The car was for my dear elderly parents. All through out the process the sales support was friendly and no one pressured us to buy things we didn't want. Our sales person was Gabe Kourie and our finance person was Klitos Manuel both of whom were lovely.
We spent most of the time with Gabe who was truly the best car sales person I have ever dealt with. He was responsive, respectful, helpful, organized, knowledgable about all the features of the car and, most impressively, very patient and effective in explaining these features to my parents who were driving a 9 year old car with none of this stuff!
If you are in the market for a SUBARU We enthusiastically recommend that you go to Curry SUBARU and ask for Gabe!

Spoke a salesman Emilo C. Went back and forth on a price for the vehicle. I countered his offer and he said that he would call me back after speaking to his sales manager. That was on a Saturday. By Monday I called him and left a voicemail. Told him if I didn't hear back from him by the end of the day I will assume that he doesn't want to sell me a car. Monday came and went. I went to another dealership and bought the car there. In the end I got the car for the countered offer I gave Emilio. In today's market it's very difficult to see how a salesman would ignore a motivated buyer.

If I could give more than five stars I would. From start to finish, I just had a wonderful experience at this dealership. I purchased my first Subaru, and I have to say I couldn't be happier. I plan on being a lifelong Subaru driver especially after this experience. Peter Howard is a gentleman, and thoroughly knowledgeable salesman. No pressure, no surprises. My dad brought his car in to get a tire fixed and had dropped it off the night before. He waited all day and did not receive a call to pick the car up. He then called the next day and was told the repair had been completed the day before. A call was made to his cell, which he had left in the car. The mechanic did not bother looking into his file to find the home number; nor look at the envelope the key was left in, which had the home phone number.
Bought a legacy last year. They gave me a great price. The reason for the bad review is that when I bought the car, the salesman and I must have had a misunderstanding to what I was getting. Part of what I thought the car would have was fog lights among other things. What I really wanted was fog lights. So when I went back, the sales manager Pete said he would have them installed on them. That made me real happy at the time. However the fog lights have not been available for that car til this day. It's been a year. So I recently called Pete and he simply seemed to brush me off. I wanted to maybe get something else in place of the fog lights I was promised like maybe remote start. I was made a promise that was never kept and now I'm being brushed off. THEY ARE NOT PEOPLE OF THEIR WORD THERE. BUYER BEWARE. I WILL NEVER GO TO CURRY SUBARU AGAIN

Was contacted by Marc and they made things right by having remote start installed in my vehicle. I am a happy customer now.
Outstanding!! Recently my wife and I had the best experience we have ever had in purchasing a new car. From the moment we walked into the Curry Subaru dealership we were treated to a warm professional atmosphere. From the greeting by the General Sales Manager Eric Erbsland, and John McCaffrey, who introduced us to our fabulous Sales Consultant Ana Sunara we knew we were in the right place. We asked many questions about the choices of Subaru's that would best serve our needs and budget. Every question we asked was answered quickly and thoroughly. Ana definitely knows her product, and how to present it. We made our decision. We were then introduced to the finance person (which as most people know) is usually the worst part. But again, we were surprised with the ease and comfort that Gabiel Casanova gave us as he explained all of the financial details.
So it is with great pleasure that I write this note of gratitude to all of the fabulous people that treated my wife and I to a most enjoyable experience.

I love my new Subaru Outback. It has everything I wanted, and is just beautiful and drives like a dream. The salespeople there are terrific - Gabe Khouri is bar none the best salesman we have dealt with - he sold us our first one and he was away when we purchased this one, so his friend Carmine DelPezzo sealed our deal. What a great experience, and these gentleman are definitely the ones to work with.

I bought a supposedly brand new car that was ordered specifically for me. Wanted black leather instead of grey . Was guaranteed one was available. When I was informed it was coming in I made an appointment to pick it up. It wasn t what I wanted but after some money off I decided to take it. I had test driven what I thought was a similar car the previous week. When the dealer was showing me how to preset the stations on the new car the same station was already preset on the new car. When I got home I compared the vin numbers and realized the new car was actually the one that had been sitting on the lot for over a week. Very dishonest . They should have just told me they couldn t get the car I would have bought the original one. They told me this one had just come in that was a lie. Will never go back a this is my sixth Subaru will consider a different car next time
