Too much people!
An old hotel!
There is not beach! It is a view to the sea with rocks, not a real beach to walk or to bath.

Outstanding service, super kid friendly resort with its private beach

What can I say, fantastic hotel. The staff is extremely well trained, the food is reasonably priced and pretty good and the building and infrastructure very well maintained. The breakfast btw, is just superb. Will come back for sure!

fantastic staff notably Pang who remembered everyone s names. good facilities . rooms a bit dated but very clean. the beds super comfy. breakfast buffet excellent.

Check in take long time more then 20 mins and receptionist went to your room. Too much disturbing.

This place is amazing! There is nothing that we could complain about. Service is exceptional, all inclusive package ( food & Alcohol) is fantastic. The resort set up is great with 3 different pool areas, activities to do, special themed nights, transport complementary , day trip bookings, private beach with great snorkling, fantastic buffets,. I would definitely recommend and hope to return with my family. Thank you.

Large hotel rooms at reasonable level plus many languages

Absolutely fantastic!! I could not speak highly enough of this hotel. There isn't anything this hotel hasn't thought of. Our pram was lost by our airline and we could hire one there. Food and drink was amazing. The staff are so so lovely and extremely helpful. They are all great with children. I had the most wonderful week here, I am so sad to leave. I would love to come back in the future.

While it has everything to be one of the most rated and outstanding hotel of Phuket paradise, fails significantly on several aspects.<br/>First the highlights:<br/>Committed staff aiming to ensure you have a good and pleasant stay, always kind to help and support on whatever request you may have.<br/>Great infrastructure, private beach, etc<br/>Try to enforce a policy to avoid early bird people to block chairs near pool putting books, towels or other objects.<br/>Three main restaurants, Italian, Thai and Beach Grill.<br/>Now downsizes:<br/>Not fully addressed for families, lack of activities, no one cheering up guests, lot of improvements to be made here.<br/>To have a full relaxed experience with family (2 adults + 2 kids) opted in for all included option, quite very dissapointed afterwards when comparing with another known resorts on other countries. Following some examples. Not everything is included mostly on beverages and some items on restaurants, it's not clear what's in and out of package and if you don't ask you will not receive a correct menu for your package. This could be corrected just by simply implement a bracelet scenario which employees will know in advance guest profile.<br/>Lack of staff around pool service and surroundings, i.e. After waiting for 30m to find someone to assist on my order near the pool, had to cross pool to order a drink and get back to my chair. For every order made you must sign a paper, per instance had to get out of water to sign receipt. My kids were not autonomous on getting juices and food, either because I have to sign or because food and drinks qiosks are open just a couple of hours. Yes, after 11pm there's nothing open, no 24 hours food quiosk open. <br/>There's discrimination on who can and can't eat on a specific place, example, on lobby it's only allowed to eat those who have not all included package... Non sense!!<br/>Could add some more inputs, however believe this is enough.<br/>Again, Mariot is a great hotel chain, in fact one of the biggest, why I got very dissapointed. With some improves believe can be the best, hence I'll return

Great hotel! Amazing pool and has beach front access. A little far from the airport but they will help arrange anything and everything to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Not as many perks however for Marriott platinum guests however.

Ideal honeymoon spot! Great rooms, great variety of restaurants, fantastic breakfast buffet. Stayed 8 nights and as a vegetarian have been pretty happy with the food. Downside is it's not all that cheap, there's a family Mart just down the road for cheap snacks and drinks though. Hubby got food poisoning from one of the restaurants and it cost about 1300 baht to see a nurse and get a small amount of meds..

Nothing is around the hotel at all except one small supermarket, needed a pharmacy and the closest is in patong which is 10-15 min by car.

A very pleasant stay. A big minus is the value for money, in this standard on phuket you can find a hotel at a much lower price. Cleanliness, food ok. Pool beautiful.

This is a very nice hotel. The staff and service is definitely 5 star. There are mixed nationalities and mixed groups here. There are families as well as couples and groups of friends, the hotel manages to cater for everyone. The hotel has an almost private beach which has a great reef and seaside although it can be treacherous if you are not experienced at snorkeling carefully to avoid the corals and rocks. It's better to only go out at high tide. The co-located dive school is expensive so it's better to book directly with a dive school in Pattong. I can recommend Thailand divers they were very experienced and have their own dive boat.

Good room condition but there is private beach which is not good.

Very nice hotel, with very good service, very attentive staff, with large pools and very nice private beach (you have to take into account that they have a lot of coral and you have to put on shoes) but it's worth it. You are 10 minutes from downtown Patong by tuc tuc, taxi ..., it takes approx 30 minutes to walk, because you have to cross the hill with many ups and downs.

Place is not value for money. There is a small private beach which is extremely crowded. The staff not very friendly. They would give you room 3PM but insist on checkout 12 PM. It's not the place alone but the people who make the place great. I wouldn't come back.

Fantastic hotel for a relaxing break you don't need to leave Tong our room attendant was amazing she quickly worked out our movements so as not to disturb and was lovely and friendly. Thank you for an enjoyable break

It's good for the price but service could have been better.

The room structure is weird and all the pools are overlooking rooms so no privacy in the pools.

As a couple I'd not come back. As a family I might.

Resort with a private beach that has an excellent treatment, the dessyuno is very varied and the rooms very cozy. Highly recommended because it is very close to Patong beach, there is an exclusive mini bus from the Resort that takes you there.

We were very satisfied with this hotel. Good service, good selection of restaurants. Tons of pools and direct on the beach. I d give it 5 stars except it s under renovation and will likely be worth the 5 stars when it s finished.
The place is a short drive from a lively city for nightlife entertainment, but avoid the city in the daytime, it s very depressing.

We stayed at the Marriott Resort & Spa towards the end of August and had a wonderful time. We upgraded our room to a pool access on arrival and the price was value for money, the room was just a perfect location for us. The service we experienced was fabulous, all staff were happy friendly people making our stay an enjoyable one. There was a good variety of restaurants and breakfast to choose from. We would happily go back and recommend.

Everything about this place is awesome, the people that work there, the beach, the food, the lobby, the pools, the view from the room - everything. Best vacation ever. Close to Patong but far enough away from Patong. I can't name everyone, but these people were awesome - Saan, Nene, Bee, Elle, Jum, Mo, Jasmine, Smile, Fern, Chef Pradneep, Everyone at Beach Grill, Everyone at Beach bar, Everyone at Sea Bees Dive Shop, Everyone at Merchant Kitchen, Everyone at the Market, Everyone at DOCG, Everyone at the Spa.

Here for two weeks but buy yr beer in the supermarket 100m down the road. Lovely place to be though

Great place, wonderful staff, good food, nice beach, clean and neat. Only bad thing in our experience was the communication with the staff and the billing at the end of the stay - there was much of confusion and misunderstandings concerning the room bills, but everything got resolved because of the great great treatment of Nacho and Honey, the desk managers who are best aware of service and how to get things done properly. The resort is 8 minutes away from Patung beach and the market (and the night market). Get taxk from the hotel (no more than 300 Tbaht). The hotel taxi fares are good and fair. In the resort you will find the butterfly sanctuary - nice, but not much to see (good for children). The pools are great, have night swim, all the pools are body temperature heated which is wonderful.

Extremely Nice place. Large and clean pools. Lots of food options. The beach is name sake and the town is far away . Perfect if you wanna chill.

It's not what you expect very expensive for that you pay two star is ok for room

We had a great time here. The pool is large and hardly occupied, the beach is private and beautiful with an exception (more on this later). The staff were all great, especially our front desk agent (name started with an N, she was a supervisor I believe, had a great personality). The breakfast buffet selection was good, albeit breakfast was a little chaotic and took a while to get our coffee order both mornings. The staff at the restaurants seemed overwhelmed. The reason for only 4 starts is because of two things. One being the beach. It looks beautiful when the tide is in, but its full of large rocks, which you find out quickly when the tide goes out. Therefore, you cant exactly swim in the water without potentially injuring yourself. The second reason is the seafood buffet we were sold on. The cooks could not keep up with the demand for seafood, and there was constantly a line of guests waiting for seafood from the grill. They allowed some guests to completely clear out the seafood in one visit, making the other guests wait again for more to be grilled. Then they ran out of most items well before the buffet time was over, meaning we did not get our money worth while other tables hoarded all the seafood. The service was also slow. It took over 15 minutes to recieve a glass of wine, meaning I didn't end up ordering a second glass (nor was I offered one). There was free flow soda with the buffet, but you had to flag down a busy server anytime you wanted a refill of the small glass they served it in. The hotel needs to look at restaurant staffing during busy times to ensure the service is to standard. Please note the photo of the seafood was a seafood tower promotion and not related to the seafood buffet mentioned above.

From the moment my Boyfriend and I put our luggage down to check in to checking out 7 days later the ENTIRE EXPERIENCE was Amazing! Great Staff Great Food Great Service This is definitely our VACATION HOTEL whenever we visit Phuket!

I absolutely love this hotel! Great room with direct pool access. Complimentary bottled water. They received us wet cool towels and lavender iced tea made from orchids seeds. It was a luxurious treat to beat the heat outside. The customer service is wonderful, the best! Everyone is so friendly and accommodating. The food is delicious. We had a daily brunch at the market place restaurant. I also, highly recommend the Thai Pantry Restaurant. The spa is out of this world. We had sports massages, facials, manicures and pedicures, so pampering. I had the best massage, ever. We had room service a few times and the food was great. Among my recommendations: from the room service menu are from the Thai soups Tom Yum Goong. (the shrimp soup pictured. I had it spicy which I highly recommend. There's something in those spices that will stir up the senses to a heightened state of sensual euphoria, resulting in aphrodisiac effects, lol. You can also order it without spice).
Gai Phad Mei Mamuang Himmaphan ( Wok fried chicken with cashew nuts and show peas). This is the best room service food I've had, anywhere. This hotel offers the friendliest customer service. I can't wait to visit again. Thank you for making my visit to Phuket Thailand so memorable.

The accommodation is very good, the atmosphere is very good, private, the food is very good, the service is very good.

The Merlin beach is nice and kept clean by the Marriott Resort.

Everything, the food, staff, clean, something going on in the evenings. The rum shack on the beach. We couldn't fault it and will be returning.

We spent good time in this hotel. Lagoon area is the favourite - quiet and free. If you stayed at ground floor lagoon rooms - you can swim directly from your room-terrace :)
Hotel has it's own beach , so you can enjoy snorkeling and canoeing. Butterfly sanctuary is just an amazing idea and you could walk and watch butterflies flying and growing. Minus - service could be faster and more attentive: there are free buses go from Marriott to city centre , so we found it out by ourselves; it takes too much time for room service to bring you robe , water..etc. or clean your trash bins.

Wow! Great location, beautiful, friendly and respectful staff, amazing food and cocktails, refreshing pools, extremely comfortable rooms.
Ideal spot for the relaxing today we needed with the added bonus of Patong a short bus/taxi/tuktuk ride away!
