Courtyard by Marriott Patong Beach Review

I'm surprised to hear that it's a 5 star hotel. I ca n t believe this is 5 star hotel.
Advantages
There is a shuttle bus with 200 parts to the downtown area. Phuket Fantasea / Tiger Kingdom is also nearby.
Convenient with FamilyMart within a 1-minute walk

Disadvantages
I was overcharged. (I fixed it right away)
I was told that I could do late check-out and then I couldn't call. (After all, I complained and changed)
Breakfast is very normal, so don't expect it.
The building is old. Cooling musty smell. I have a cough.
The elevator cannot be used during the collection work. I was persistently recommended to the high room on the first floor. I declined. (Usually it will change for free)
There is a pool with a depth of 2m without a fence right next to the children's pool, which is incomprehensible.
The size of the children's pool is about 1/5 of the total. One short slider. It's enough until the lower grades of elementary school. ..

Location is convenient. Near the busy patong area with a 5min drive. Has its own private beach. Merlin beach. Do note there are boat on the beach ready to ferry you to Freedom beach 5 minutes away (1000BAHT). Be careful, need to pay 120baht to use the beach chair in freedom beach. Nice restaurant. Good buffet selection from pancakes to rice noodle. 3 large pools with water slide for the kids. I was persuaded into taking a pool entry facing room. A lot of litters from the trees surrounding made it unattractive to swim in. There are 3rd party laundry services on the left and right of merlin beach. Much cheaper than marriot in house laundry. House keeping was excellent. They gave me plenty of towels and make up the room very quickly.

Nice family hotel. Good food and good service. The hotel itself needs refurbishing specially the hallways and room toilets.

Large rooms, great quality breakfasts with lots of choice - all the meals here were great, Happy Hour cocktails at the rum shack - hope to be back

Great location...silent atmosphere away from city no city noice...very good guest service provided...nice pools and all the different from each other. Has a private beach and 5 restaurants. All kinds of cuisine are there especially Indian food is there. If you want silence & peace this is the perfect property to stay in Phuket.

Perfect food gr8 staff gr8 rooms gr8 they just need to extend the swimming hours to say 10 pm at the adult pool as we have very nice pool aces but we can not use it .

With several restaurants, bars and activity areas there is something for everyone here. The centrally located pools suit to different groups during the day and the beach is worth exploring if you get a chance too.

The rooms are modern and clean and well maintained with all the ammenities you will need for a trip away.

For conferences the hotel offers a good set of meeting rooms, equiped with good resources to help any function.

Be aware it is a little way out of Phuket its self, so its not somewhere you can just wander into town if that is what you are after. Its about a 300 Baht trip into town from the resort which isn't much, but it is a consideration for going in each day.

For a relaxing trip to Phuket where you can get out of the town itself, but be close enough to duck in if needed, and spend some time relaxing this is a great hotel to choose.

It was ok. The rooms are outdated with super loud air conditioning. The pool is nice. Beach access is full of coral and rocks making it hard to go for an ocean swim. Spa was great. Gym is average.

Picking up from the airport was very polite and after leaving the customs, I left the airport building and waited with a Marriott board.
Although there was a little distance from the airport, Patong is the same everywhere.
Check-in is done at another desk because it is gold. She was a local woman, but she was very good at Japanese.
From Patong Beach, I took a tuk-tuk for about 15 minutes by shuttle bus, but I forgot the price. I think you should avoid walking because you can see stray wild dogs.
We used restaurant in hotel in the morning and evening, but are quite good. Especially breakfast is cospa! I felt that the shop from the center pool was more delicious than the one along the beach. I was very happy as a Japanese because there was a wagaki-shaped waffle in the buffet.
There is a table tennis table, billiards table, sports bar and services for children, making it easy for families to use.
The pool was divided into several large parts and it was good that it was accessible from the room. There was also a children's pool. However, the beach was quite rocky at low tide, so it may not be good.
We would like to thank you for your upgrade to the Premier Room with Pool Access. Although it is old as a building, it is clean and the outlet can be universal. The towel art was wonderful and I was relieved to bring my friends.
The only thing that worried me was that I asked for a transfer to the airport via the concierge on the way back, but it seemed that I couldn't make a reservation, and the hotel departure was delayed more than 30 minutes. It was good because it was in time, but I was a little disappointed.
The hotel is clean and bright as a whole, and the employees are also good with a smile!

We went to get away from a stressful year and have some quiet time,
This place is amasing and we cant wait to come back. It has best of everything you would want in a holiday, pools and private beach all to just guests. The staff there were all hospitable and made our stay more pleasant we had a little mishap and it was treated very professional.
Our room attendant looked after us and everyone working there was wonderful, special thanks to Bol and Don room 4335, Cherlyn in the Merchant Kitchen, Cherry and Robyn for looking after our little problem, Pure at the desk who booked our spa treatments and Porsche always welcoming as you left the resort or came back,
Too many others to name, overall the best place and would recommend highly. It was not too far from Patong and only a 10 min ride with the shuttle so overall just awesome place to stay.

All rooms are with beach or pool view. Very friendly staff. Best is private beach with Coral Reef! A lot of different fish, corals, other animals. Breakfast is fulfiling and diverse- both thai and European. Rooms are spacious and cozy- the terrace is nice. You should check the massage on the right side of the beach. Also the restaurant on the cliffs on the left of the beach.

The hotel is nice and clean but service suks!
I came here for long relaxing holiday but it's was noisy early in the morning plus if you went to the beach you really need to wait long time to get any help.
I wouldn't recommend it for a relaxing or a romantic holiday.

Service at the restaurant was slow and they forgot about our order which we placed 1 hour ago. Our room was supposed to be prepared by 1:00 PM and it still hasn t been prepared despite it currently being 1:43 PM. My family and I are disappointed because this is a highly acclaimed hotel which we have spent an abundance of money on and we are not receiving the treatment we were promised. For the amount of money we paid, we should at least be getting our food and hotel room on time period.

Update: it s 1:50 and the food still isn t here despite us complaining 2 times and reminding them 3 times. Also everyone around us got their orders with no issues whatsoever even if they sat down after us with 15+ minutes.

Update: our food is still not ready so we complained to the manager and left. The room is still not ready and they said 30 more minutes. It s currently 2:07 PM and we don t have a room or food.

The disadvantage of the ocean view is the distance to the room is too far ^ ^

Recently stayed here with a super large group and had a great time. The rooms were large and clean, the hotel amenities top notch and the food options quite good (albeit a bit expensive). We did have a bit of an issue with the plumbing in the bathroom but the hotel was quick to acknowledge and eventually fix it. Great rooms, superb pool and beach access. A bit pricey but worth it.

Recommended as a family resort near Patong Beach!!

(Retreat) It was a good hotel to enjoy and relax with children. Although it has been built for a long time. The remodeled room we stayed in was neat and nice.
(Activity) Swimming pool and Merlin Beach were easy to use. In particular, the beach is small but clean, and it was nice to swim with the kids while enjoying snow-cooling.
There are also table tennis tables, billiards tables, and billiard tables next to the restaurant.
Kids Club is highly recommended to use as there are many fun programs for children to use.
(Special) The private massage shop at the end of the beach was good for me as a comfortable haven for cheap money..

(Regrettable) After check-out, there is a shower, but there is no separate changing room, so it was a big regret that I had to use the bathroom.

Had a fantastic family holiday here. Accommodation was great. The language barrier just required a little patience but the staff were always approachable and more than accommodating. Rooms were a little slower to be made up each day than we have been used to but it's manageable. Toiletries are not always replenished but housekeeping are always happy to give you what you need when you ask. The overall experience would certainly have us returning

Fantastic. A little far from the downtown which makes it a bit expensive to move around unless you have a scooter.

The hotel offers everything I expect in this category. Overall, the stay was very pleasant and the room was clean, modern and quiet.

+ Lots of space by the pool. There are 3 different pool areas. So everyone can find their preferred place.

- There is a transfer between the hotel and Patong Beach, but the times are very manageable. A taxi was always necessary for the return trip in the evening, which costs 300 baht for the 10 minute journey. This is of course not due to the hotel, but to the price agreements made by the taxi drivers, which are significantly higher than usual in Bangkok, for example.
Here I would like to see a 24/7 on demand shuttle from the hotel at significantly lower prices or free of charge.

Awesome resort for families. Heaps of activities for both adults and children, we were never bored during our 8 day stay. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. Bring your snorkelling gear because the reef on the hotel's private beach is teeming with fish, corals and other marine life....very cool. The only negative I found was that the staff didn't enforce the no smoking areas and plenty of smokers were lighting up right in front of no smoking signs, including around families with young children. The location is fairly secluded, 5 minutes drive from Patong but I found that to be a good thing. It costs around 300 baht to go to Patong by tuk tuk or taxi each way, but the hotel does operate a courtesy shuttle service to Jungceylon mall for guests that runs five times during the day and night. Don't forget to have dinner at the Little Tiger restaurant on the hill above the beach. It's a modest place but prices are heaps cheaper than the hotel restaurants and the Thai food is awesome.

Great hotel with beautiful swimming pools and beach front. Service is great and food very good quality. The hotel laid on some theme nights which I thoroughly enjoyed, especiaky the Thai-theme.
Swimming in the sea was difficult and dangerous due to the stones but the pools made up for it. Felt the hotel should be closer to the town but they did have shuttle services.
Worth a weeks good stay to relax and chill.

A great location and rooms very nice. Three pools and direct access to a private beach. Not really a romantic quiet get away type place as there are hundreds of rooms. Easy access to Patong either walking over the hill ( for the fit) or by taxi 300bht

Beautiful place to stay with the family or a group of friends or a couple.. The ladies at breakfast (barbie and another beautiful lady who made my son special banana smoothies) were amazing.

There is a family mart just 200m up the rd with is great to get alcohol and soft drink and snacks or there is a bus that goes into town several times a day, which you can buy stuff and bring back.
The beach is beautiful to look at, and awesome in the late afternoon and evening for looking at fish and sea creatures in the rocks.. With cocktail from the rum shack in hand :)
Lots of entertainment ...
Its expensive as you would expect and there are tiles throughout the resort which are DEADLY slipery (thats where they lose a star)..so dangerous, and when your back in your resort no matt or anything so slippery with little kiddies.
The food is great all round, we ate everywhere, loved the happy hours , especially the pool one and the rum shack.
I think this is everything i can think of right now...
There us a little restaurant just up stairs from the beach if you want to eat somewhere else.
Taxi is 350-400 one way into town..
Id definetly stay again.

Friendly, well laid out, very clean and good standards

Unbelievably bad service and way too may tourists. How could table being changed and taken while u were just inside getting your breakfast! Dew the reception, the Nok waitress Sup the waiter. Having said that I hope this is irrelevant to any racism or being sexist nor not a big group. If u want to to have peace and get away from the crowd, all those man made noises, this definitely not your choice! Room is ok but u are going to found many small ants that you won t found in few other hotel here. Food is .... all I can say, worst experience in Thailand for me as I come almost like once or twice a yr. just basically ruined my morning! Frankly, I wonder where is all those truth and low rating go.

Private beach front that embraces into a cove Seeing only the sea is a very special location, not seeing the hotel or town like being on a private island, very relax, just waking up to breathe in the beach front is worth it.

The rooms that have been upgraded to pool view, 4th floor, inside the room still look very new, amenity quality, use good stuff, like the bathtub very comfortable.

Nong reception, the woman who received the check in on the night of 28.9.2020, is very cute and looks very sincere, has a real service mind, can't remember the name, but is very welcome.

In this kind of world situation, people don't just want a soft bed or a luxurious finishing. But need a place to soothe the soul

It was a great experience. Private beach where you can watch sunset and enjoy drinks. Relaxed atmosphere.

The hotel is very nice and spacious. It has 3 large pools and also has direct access to a very private Merline beach. All the rooms have just been renovated recently. The staffs are very nice and friendly. Would highly recommend for those travelling with family or your loved ones. Although the hotel is located very near to Patong, it is very private and makes you feel disconnected from the world.

Lovely resort. Great for kids with lots to do. Various pools, private beach and a very friendly helpful staff. 15 minute drive to Patong and hotel shuttle is available. Definitely recommended.

Rested for 4 days. End of September 2018. Comfortable room, comfortable bed. The staff is helpful. But you have to pay for everything. A transfer to Patong a couple of times a day is free, then 100 bt per person. Breakfast is very varied, buffet. We had dinner at the Italian restaurant at the hotel 1 time. The menu is scant but tasty. Live music. Everything in the hotel is done quickly, without problems. Taxis to the airport can be paid in advance, 1600 bt, about an hour of driving along winding roads. I personally did not go to the beach, but a friend went. He said that the beach is rocky, uncomfortable and it is not written on the web. Therefore, we went to Patong on a rented bike.

Beautiful hotel !!! Gigantic!!! Wonderful pool !! Ping pong table available (balls and rackets provided). Basketball hoop in one of the pools. Access to a beautiful private beach. Large green garden. In short, really exceptional! Excellent buffet breakfast with lots of choice. Several small places to have a smoothie by the pool, or a small taste in the middle of the garden. Really it is a complete hotel ideal for families. Clean room, with good bedding. Top of the top. I loved.

A huge resort with 3 pools and great amenities, private beach and spa. Perfect for family with kids, good restaurant options and not too far from Patong. Do take note that you will need transportation to reach Patong area

Having a house leaf is a very attractive place in Phuket. It is a little inconvenient that you have to set the time because you can go snorkeling only at high tide. The restaurant and spa also provide comfortable service at an affordable price. I am a couple traveler, but I think the resort activities and kids club are good, so it is good for family use.
