Vehicle was priced well. People were nice enough but once it was clear I wanted to buy the car and not the extras then the whole customer experience changed to a nonchalant approach to me. I purchased the car because that car/price couldn't be had elsewhere but I'm not encouraged to return for any future purchases based on how it went during the sale and in the follow up calls I had to make to dealer for questions on features and warranty. These questions came out of differences sales told me and what finance said I'm actually getting. Two weeks later I'm still waiting on a resolution to some of these questions.

I've bought 3 cars here. My first one from Scott Gruel. Sadly I am disappointed I was told car had features like remote start . The day I left the dealership the key fib had a sticker on it when . I pealed the sticker iff i discovered I had been given a jeeJ key fob for a Dodge. I reached out they told me the key fob can't be replaced for several weeks and they will not address the promise at purchase of remote start, the vehicle was not deyailed as promised in fact it had chalk marker writing on door jam. Wish it would have been different...

Here's the review I wrote for yelp since they are now hiding bad reviews for paying companies:

I went to Courtesy earlier this week for an oil change and a tire valve replacement and balance. I supplied my own oil and valves. Ed was my first contact guy and he inquired as to why I wanted the valves replaced on the tires. They had been slow leaking air for months and the pins were bent in them that made inflating them difficult. He wasnt so sure, and asked to investigate the matter before doing anything to the tires. Sounds good to me.

A bit later he brought me to the mechanic working on the car who showed me a couple nails that had lodged into the tires, telling me that a valve change and balance would be pointless since a few hidden nails were causing the leak. GREAT! I told him not to do anything with the tires since they needed totally replaced. "OK" he says, then Ed starts going on and on about $$$ to replace the tires. No thanks, I'm not interested. I told him the oil change was all I would be needing that day.

Time to checkout. When I get the bill, its $70. How is this so, when Im only getting an oil change and supplied my own oil? My bill says Ed and the mech did a tire balance and rotation ANYWAY. And I didnt even ask for a rotation. In fact I specifically told them NOT to do a rotation! So I basically paid an extra $50 for work done that was in their words "pointless", and AFTER I agreed with them to skip the tires entirely.

"Whats the deal?" I ask.
"Oh, well he went ahead and did the balance anyway."

The icing on the cake is that the new valves were still sitting on my front seat, untouched. Pointless indeed...

Courtesy, you dropped the ball tremendously. I will not be returning to Courtesy Chevy in the future, and I wont have anything good to say about them to peers. They seem to have no honor, and I HATE deception in a business. You lost a potential patron from the starting line.

Went for a used car after calling three times to make sure it was still there and even offering to put down a payment in advance, we were guaranteed, it was there. Got there and the car was gone, the sales rep hardly acted like he had time for us and the whole thing turned out to be a massive waste of time.

The service at Courtesy Chevrolet is absolutely great. They offer you a variety of options and guide you through all the paperwork. They show you many different varieties of trucks as well as cars until you find the one that is meant for you. They make you feel welcomed and as if you're at home. I would like to thank Christian Bazan de servicio al cliente as well as Fabian Martinez de ventas. Thanks--Panfilo Gomez and Fam

I waited 20 min for someone to help me. They guy I had a appointment with left and I was not informed. I had 3 of the workers ask me if I had been helped and still waited 20+ minutes for someone to come help me. Not super excited about that.

I had such a wonderful experience at Courtesy Chevrolet. I came in on black friday. I talked to Mike Bleyle over the phone and met with him in person. He fought super hard for me to get my 2017 ford focus. I told him what i could afford and what I wanted, and he really came through for me. This was my first time coming to a big dealership and I was so nervous. I drove off the lot a happy camper. The finance, and insurance crew were so awesome and super friendly. I love the car and when I am ready to get something new, they are the first ones I will see. They work so hard.

Greetings,

Greetings,
Great customer service. Brooke Slade was my sales-person. I am very happy with my new Aveo. Brooke is very knowledgeable about the business and the car I wanted. She is respectful, fun and easy to work with. I will recommend to family and friends they should visit and buy their next car from courtesy. Because of past negative experience with courtesy I had qualms about returning to this particular dealership. Working with Brooke changed my opinion. I will continue to do business with courtesy.
Thank you, Bertha

Thanks to Jamie Phillips for going above and beyond by staying late so I could retrieve my car after services were completed. He was very knowledgeable, kind, and helpful. Thanks for making the service exceptional!

We had an amazing time with the Courtesy Chevrolet team! Our purchase was fun, simple and blew through with ease. The vehicle gave us the 'this is the one' feeling and the team gave us an amazing deal. Courtesy Chevrolet is the #1 dealer in AZ hands down! Not only was our sales representative (Ben) fun and personable, but even our financing officer (Jeremy) was a great. The team even took the time to break down and explain every bit of contract information and even showed us how every featured worked in the truck. I would have been lost with out that 1 on 1 lesson!
Compared to the other vehicles I have purchased this was the first time it came with a friendly atmosphere. Thank you Courtesy Chevrolet! I love this truck and look forward to working with you again in the future!

I was with my girlfriend while buying her car here. I was impressed with the competence of the salesmen. When we shared our budget which I would not have thought we could have afforded a new car with, they directed us to test drive a new one which I would have considered a waste of time given that detail. It impressed me that they/we were able to negotiate the price into our budget. It's the first new car we've ever owned. Seth s. And another salesmen helped us. Thank you!

I recently purchased my 2014 Cruze LTZ from Courtesy Chevrolet and I could not be happier. My salesman was David from the internet team and he was excellent! He was very friendly and made sure I was taken care of. My experience here was a positive one and I look forward to returning to this very helpful staff. I would definitely recommend when you are looking for a car that you go here and you request to work with David. I was in and out and his service was amazing! descobar@courtesychev

I've been searching for months now for the right d...

I've been searching for months now for the right deal on the right used Chevy Volt to come along. I really figured I would end up buying one from a private party who wanted to sell theirs instead of trading it in, when they were ready for an upgrade to a new car. Turns out that Volts are very popular, and owners don't give them up that easily. Hard to find in AZ.
I noticed that Courtesy Chevrolet in Phoenix seemed to regularly have a few used Volts on hand, so I had a closer look at their inventory online. Several prospects interested me, so I called to inquire, thinking to myself "there's no way I'm going to get a reasonable deal from a dealership". Wrong.
I really hesitated calling, thinking I'd be hounded to death from them, after deciding I didn't want to go with them, mostly due to price tag.
Now here's what actually happened: I placed a call to Courtesy Chevrolet, and asked for online sales help. I got a young man named Ivan Torres. I told him what I had to spend, and what I was interested in, and asked what he could do. He asked to call me back, in order to find the bottom line on price out the door, and to insure that the car I was interested in was actually on the lot. Several minutes later, he called me back with his results; car was there, but as I expected, the price was over what I was willing to spend. But not by that much, and as it turned out, it included their taking care of the title and registration fees, which, had I purchased the car through a private party, I would have had to take care of myself anyway.
I still figured I was looking at spending a bit more if I bought this vehicle through Courtesy, than if I'd found one through a private party, but decided to take the 2 hour trip from Prescott to Phoenix, and have a closer look.
What I discovered when I got there was Mr. Torres waiting and ready for me, as promised, and a beautiful 2012 Chevy Volt that basically looked BRAND NEW. It was very well taken care of by the original owner. What a beauty! It met my expectations and more. Now I began to think, "OK, I wonder what will be added on to the price we discussed now that I'm here?". That worry was quickly dispelled when Ivan showed me the paperwork that was already prepared. Price total was as promised; no additional added costs. It was then that I was shown what I would be receiving along with the sale that I would have never gotten from a private sale: a GM Certified Preowned Vehicle warrantee, that added an additional year to the bumper to bumper coverage that came with the car originally, as well as the assurance that the car had been completely gone through by their service department. I thought to myself, now that's gotta be worth something.
So I decided to buy the car. But I had one request; could Ivan have someone at Courtesy pick me up from the airport shuttle the next day, so that I could drive my new car home? After all, I had driven down from Prescott, nearly 2 hours away, and now had 2 cars to get back home with. Ivan said he'd see what he could do, and proceeded to finalize the paperwork for the sale. It was getting late in the day by then. Everything had gone fairly smoothly, and I was sitting there realizing that our search for our next car was over. When Ivan came back, he said "how about we follow you up to Prescott, and save you the trip back to Phoenix?"!!! It was 110 degrees there that day, and so now I could see that I would not have to make the return trip! Now, how's that for service? It took 2 of them, Ivan and a fellow employee, with 2 cars (my new Volt, and another vehicle for them to return to Phoenix in) to deliver our new Volt to us. I was speechless. Talk about something unexpected coming out of a day at a car dealership...

Thanks Ivan Torres and Courtesy Chevrolet. You have impressed this customer greatly. Maybe next time around I'll have a different approach to buying a used, OR NEW, car!

Car had to get serviced a week into buying it and it stayed over night. Was told I'd get a call back same day to let me know what was going on, called 3 times couldn't get a hold of my service guy, Ben. Next day called again, still did not get back to me until later in the day i receive a text my car is ready for pick up. No paperwork or details on what was the issue. Also, was told my interest rate was a certain percentage, come to find out it's double then what I was told it would be. My payments came out to more then what was agreed upon. I could go on. Never dealt with a dealership like this before and sure it will be the last time. Would not recommend.

Great Service
I chose Tim Jackson based on the reviews I read on here and was very happy with my visit. I brought my truck in for it's scheduled FREE oil change. I also asked for a quote to fix a dent that happened when I was sideswiped on the freeway (the guy took off). After my truck was done the shuttle picked me up from work at the scheduled time which is very convenient. The detailed quote I needed was waiting in my freshly washed truck when I got in it. Tim answered every question I had and was super nice to deal with.

I took my mother in the other day to buy a car. She'd just been in an accident, so she was a little nervous about the experience. Roger Arbisi was a blessing. He was good with her in every way possible. Answered our questions, explained everything and anything that she needed more info on, and was very genuine. I would certainly send anyone in to work with Roger and Courtesy Chevrolet. Great experience.

This dealership has an honesty problem. First they were going to sell it to us at the sale price, then they came back and said they marked the price wrong. So they raised it using all kinds of lies. 10 minutes after driving the price higher and leaving the dealership they raised the price of the car $4500.00. To $25,999, after it being $21,500.

OH BY THE WAY!! WHAT EVER THE ADVERTISED PRICE OF THEIR VEHICLES ON SALE, THEY ADD A MANDATORY $3000.00 TO IT. IT CANT BE NEGOTIATED OUT OF THE PRICE. SO WHEN YOU SEE SALES PRICE $21,500.00, IT IS ACTUALLY $24,500.00.

This is a joke of a company. 2 salesman told us it was $21,500.00 until the paperwork comes. Then it shows a mandatory $3000.00 you can t escape. Only in Phoenix. THEY DONT PULL THAT UP IN PRESCOTT. They said it s only done in some dealerships down in Phoenix.

CALL AND ASK THEM FOR YOURSELF AND LET VINCENT, THE ONLY KIND OF MANAGER THEY LET YOU TALK TO. NO GM. NO OWNER. HE SAID THEY ENTRUST HIM AND SOMEONE ELSE TO RUN THIS BUSINESS. Wow what a scam. HE SAID HE UNDERSTOOD BUT NOTHING WILL CHANGE. Good luck. CHEVY MAKES GREAT CARS, TO BAD YOU CANT SAY THAT ABOUT THEIR DELERSHIP, at least this one!!!!

Joe was very helpful. He got us right into the car we wanted and took us on a long ride. He answered many of our questions. Those he didn't know the answer to he found out right away. When we decided to purchase he guided us through the whole process and helped it to run very smoothly. He encouraged us many times to contact him directly if there is anything he could do to help us.

The ultimate car buying experience! Buying a car can be very stressful, but O Jay at courtesy Chevrolet made it painless. He was very accommodating as to help me get almost everything done over the phone/email as I dreaded wasting a whole day at the dealership. He was able to narrow down my search and find the perfect vehicle for me. A quick test drive and I was ready to purchase. He made sure all the details were worked out and paperwork was done and vehicle was prepped and ready to go prior to me picking up the car. Thank you for all your help, Courtesy team members, as we absolutely love our new Equinox!

The experience of purchasing a vehicle from Courtesy Chevrolet has been nothing short of horrible.
Now dealing being promised 3 years of oil change and after 1 year of owning they say have used all of my oil changes up .
I want somebody from management to contact me ASAP!
I have left voicemails for 3 different people and have yet to have a return call .
ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!

Good afternoon, I wanted to take the time to thank our sales rep. Chris Burnham, he was very helpful and professional when my family and I stopped by Courtesy Chevrolet on Camelback and 12th street. Thank you for assisting us, you have made our car buying experience more delightful. We believe you put the U in CoUrtesy.

Curt Petri, my Service Advisor, is definitely saved in my phone because I know he will always take care of me and exceed my expectations. His communication during every one of my visits to the dealership has been out of this world. During this last visit, my stress level was through the roof and he helped resolve quite a bit of that. He is such a respectful and genuinely kind person. Give him a call and see what I mean!

Another thing worth mentioning is I never have to wonder what's going on or if I am being taken advantage of because that is not how this dealership works. They appreciate their customers and truly want them to have a great experience while taking great care of their cars. It is nice to know that someone is in your corner and willing to help. I cannot say enough "thank you" to you and your team!

Extremely shady business practices couple with bei...

Extremely shady business practices couple with being harassed but one of their managers. I would not recommend stepping on this dealerships lot to my worst enemy.

I walked in to look at a used Mazda 3. They had the car listed at $1,600 above kelley blue book. No big deal, I know they're trying to make a profit and as car buying goes I expect to negotiate.

Strike 1: Miguel, the salesman, immediately asks for my license to enter me into their system. His reasoning was that when I buy a car I'd already be in the system. There was no actual need to enter me in, they just want it for advertising purposes and to sign me up for some text service they have. (you can opt out of the text service, but it's annoying none the less.)

Strike 2: Asked for the keys to my car to check and see if they would be willing to take it in on trade and then not return my keys to me.

Strike 3: Tell me about their "standard" prep fee of $995 that covers them inspecting the car, washing and detailing it, advertising it, etc. Basically all the things that a dealer does in order to sell a car and they expected me to pay for it. Pure profit grabbing while deceptively calling it a standard fee.

Strike 4: Ask for what I think a fair price for the car is. (I said $14,000 out the door expecting some haggling around the 14,500-15,000 mark) Oly to have Miguel come back with a monthly payment of $349 for 73 months. That's right, good ole miguel and his manager expected me to pay 30,000 for this car (I had $4000 down plus they offered $1000 for my trade)

Strike 5: Miguel refuses to shake my hand or acknowledge that I was leaving. Very uncomfortable ad high pressure sales tactics.

Strike 6: Chase me down in the parking lot as I'm leaving to try and keep me there.

Strike 7: Jeanelle from customer service calls me, leaves a message that says nothing about why she is calling, then doesn't return my call back. Phone rings and isn't answered.

Strike 8: Miguel calls me a few days later to see if I'm still interested in the car. I had explicitly told him to only call me if they would sell for the price I asked for. tries to argue that the price they offered was a fair price...

Strike 9: Miguel's manager Josh calls me. Josh decides the best course of action here is to explain to me how little I know about buying a car in his most demeaning way. Very cute josh. I explain that since neither he nor miguel seem to be willing to admit to trying to sell me a car at a ridiculous price then I only wish to be contacted by jeanelle and hang up.

Strike 10: Josh calls me rapid fire about 7-8 times trying to... Actually I'm not sure what. I don't answer any of them other than 2. The first in which I tell him to stop calling me and have jeanelle call me, where he then tries to yell over me and shush me like a child. I hung up promptly. The second in which I inform Josh that if he keeps calling after I've asked him not to then I will be filing a police report for harassment. He promptly calls right back and leaves a voicemail. I haven't listened yet but I bet it's lovely.

Strike 11: Poor miguel calls back to see if I got in touch with his manager Josh... He seems to have no clue as to what's happened.

So long story short. This is one of the sleaziest car dealerships I've ever dealt with. Stay away if you value your money and your time.

Had good experience buying a car, my problem is the after. When i purchased the vehicle, they asked i fill out a survey on the sales associate and they would give me either a free tank of gas or a dash mat for my car. It has been 6months and i have yet to receive either "reward" as promised. I took time out of my day to do something for you but have not received what was promised for my time and effort. May buy another car in the future and would definitely stop by somewhere else 1st, since they couldnt even get this small thing done.

The kids are getting older and went in to buy my 17 year old her first car since her work requires her to be there almost every day, sometimes even for two separate shifts. We were looking for a good used car with low monthly payments (that she could handle paying) and thankfully we found one after a little bargaining. The process took a while though but it was worth it

Do NOT do business with this company. Purchased a ...

Do NOT do business with this company. Purchased a car from them about 4 months ago and I sincerely wish I hadn't. The salesman that sold us the car misinformed us about multiple details of the car, including the YEAR of the car. We had already worked the deal, made the downpayment of $3000 plus a trade in, and was purchasing insurance for it when we found out it is three years older than what he told us. He said the car was in great condition, not too many miles. It was in service having preventative maintenance done such as oil change, etc. After one day of driving it, it began overheating. We took it to the service department at the dealership and apparently they forgot to plug something back in for the cooling system. We were irritated but also grateful that they fixed the issue quickly. Had the car for barely four months and it is using coolant way too quickly. We took it back to the service department and they say it has a coolant leak which is not covered by my two year warranty (surprise surprise) and it will cost us $750 to repair. Now, yesterday, out of nowhere the air conditioner is blowing hot air. I know it does not need to be recharged so unfortunately it doesnt seem to be a simple fix. When I have called to speak to a manager to come to a resolution for the way we have been treated, all they want to do is sell us a new car... having to pay a new down payment and what we owe on this car would go to the note of the new car. All they care about is their income. They do not care about their customers. The manager I spoke with had the audacity to say that I made a bad buying decision, even though THEIR salesman completely misinformed us about the car. And that they would not help with the costs of the issues the car is having. Worst, sleaziest company I have EVER dealt with. Do NOT go to Courtesy Chevrolet, for any reason. I dont know how they can sleep at night knowing how they treat their customers.

My wife and I purchased a 2014 Ford Escape from Co...

My wife and I purchased a 2014 Ford Escape from Courtesy about a month ago. They had a great price listed for it so we went to check it out. Our sales person was polite and helpful. The Escape has some minor cosmetic issues and a slight smell (previous owner must have had a dog) in the interior, but for the price we were able to look past it at the time. I barely noticed the smell to be honest, but we did have the windows open. We came to an agreement on price and they did a good basic cleaning of the interior for us before we took it home.

After having it in the garage for 1 night with the windows closed I noticed that the "pet" smell was really bad. It is a urine and dander odor, which drive my allergies nuts. I took it to my local car detailer and had them shampoo the carpets and upholstery. It got better but the vents still needed cleaning. I checked the cabin air filter and it looked new. So I got some Ozone spray and used that to try to clean out the vents. Still unable to drive with the windows up after all of this. So I have had the car for a week at this point and had spent $150 on cleaning.

I contacted Courtesy and advised them of the smell problem, as well as the USB ports in the center console were not working. The CSI Manager Debbie contacted me promptly and scheduled a loaner car so I could get to work and said they would fog the interior and look into the usb ports. When I went to pick up my Escape the next day at 7am they could not find my vehicle or the paperwork for it. They had to contact Debbie and she had my keys in her desk. Nobody there was able to tell me what was done, if anything. Before leaving I tested the USB ports, which were still not working. I asked the nice lady that was assisting me to tell Debbie to call me when she got in that morning. I never received a call. And the smell was again better but after using the heater for a few minutes it still smelled. Needless to say I was not happy. This was the Tuesday before Christmas so I didn't have the time to get it back to them that week.

Usually getting a new vehicle is something to be proud of, to show off to friends and family. But the smell made me reluctant to do so. After Christmas and New Years I contacted Debbie again via email explaining that there was still a bad odor and the usb ports still were not working. I asked her what was done during the day I left my Escape with them. She replied saying they did a "bio-sweep" for 8hrs.... she said nothing about them looking into the USB ports. She said "As far as the USB ports he will be glad to take a look at those if you want to bring it in Monday Thursday" Which led me to believe that they didn't even look into the USB before. I again emailed her back explaining that the "bio-sweep" didn't do anything from what I could tell and asked why the USB ports were not looked into the last time. I never received a call or email back from her..... that was a week ago!

I like the vehicle and I will have to get a detailer to try to get rid of the pet odor on my own. That being said the customer service at Courtesy Chevrolet is sub-par and if they are going to sell used vehicles they should make sure that they meet some basic standards that any self respecting individual would ask for in a vehicle before selling it. Nobody should have to go through this much hassle, especially during the holidays.

Buyers beware when purchasing a used vehicle from Courtesy. Get out your proverbial fine tooth combs!

I own a 2006 Dodge Charger that needed work. But, since I had such unpleasant and expensive experiences in the past at the Dodge Dealership, I decided to try Courtesy Chevrolet where I take our suburban. What a pleasant surprise! Tim Jackson, the service manager, was excellent! So was Brent of collision repair. Both were professional, courteous, and responsive. The work was done right and in a timely manner. Best of all, the cost of the service was less than half of what the Dodge Dealership had quoted me(brakes and replacing rubber around door).

It has been a great experience. I had a couple of questions and concerns come up 2 months after I purchased my vehicle. The staff helped me right away and I could not be more satisfied.

If you like to have your time wasted then this is the place for you!! We bought a certified pre owned vehicle here a year and a half ago. The car has been leaking water from the rear window and it flooded the back seats. Upon arriving to a scheduled appointment, the service advisor automatically assumed that we had done something to the vehicle s antenna and said the water was leaking from there and not the window. Mind you, he never once checked to see if this was the case. He said the vehicles extended warranty was expired without bothering to actually check. I let him know that could not be the case as i had confirmation it extended until jan 2020 or until 48,000 miles. The vehicle is under that number so he then said that the antenna is not covered. (How convenient) and that because we bought it 2 years ago they couldnt do anything. Once home, we checked to see where the leak was coming from and it in fact was coming from the window and not the antenna.(Finding the source of the leak took less than a minute, by the way.) The advisor was lazy and no one bothered to address the issue but instead tell us to come another day. Terrible service, we wasted an hour in traffic coming here.

Honestly worst customer service I've ever received, didn't seem to care for what we were looking for because they wouldn't get much money out of the deal. We originally found a car on cargurus that looked perfect for my family, we started the process for them to say the car was sold. Browsing cargurus a couple days later the car is still listed and now the price is dropped!! We had visited the dealership speciafically because we were still interested in finding a car, Chris and Bobby were very pushy and clearly uninterested in helping us or else we would of already had a car that is now still sitting in the lot. Next time you should allow your customers to view cars that you are advertising online, instead of claiming the car was sold and no longer on the lot. I would never do business here and I do not recommend waiting your time.

This dealership is not fit to carry the Chevy name...Adam the sales associate I dealt with this time said "we are family owned"....I'd like to share that Adam came and said we're going to go with something new because I got you approved for 16000 and there's so many rebates ...then proceeds to tell me there is only 1 truck on there lot for that price and that courtesy Chevy just could not afford to give it to me at that price....so that was absolutley the rudest thing I've ever seen after spending days on the phone and 2 hours at the lot.....that is not family run....I also deliver all there parts.....I would think that would have been considered family.....screw this dealership....

The service I received was exceptional. I went in at 7am and I was taken care of immediately by my service associate Allen Parker. I was concerned about getting to work on time that morning and he assured me that my oil change should be done in plenty of time for me to get to work, but if they needed more time, they would get me to work. I really appreciate their concern for my need to be in and out quickly, and they definitely made that happen. From check-in to check-out, I was very pleased with the level of service I received, thanks again!

Learn now to manage people who refer to themselves as mangers. These folks waste time, are not understanding of anything. They do not follow up with any information nor do they have realistic time frames. Took them nearly a week and a half to fix a blown gasket in my suv. Simply unacceptable. I wasn't given a similar rental either, made it difficult to work. Took 3 days to get me an appointment, had no A.C. in a brand new car. I was told they will not fix the broken part but instead had to replace the whole unit...instead of it being a simple repair they said if I don't get the whole condenser system replaced they would VOID MY WARRANTY!!! Essentially extorting ME...UNACCEPTABLE IN EVERY RESPECT. I highly recommend a serious talk with the crew over there. As all the customer service was greatly lacking. I physically had to drive to the dealership for an update each 2nd day, no one could give me a straight answer. I'll be posting this on various review boards. Thanks for reminding me of my experience at your dealership.
