I had a boil on my arm and I was treated very unprofessional. The nurse that drew my blood in the emergency room was rude and left a great bug bruise on my arm. I'm assuming they thought I was a junkie. WRONG!!!

My visit to the Bay Area ER was great. They were quick, efficient, and accurate in my diagnosis. Everyone was exceptionally friendly and hospitable. They were very efficient in wiping down the waiting area in view of the Covid-19 virus. Highly recommend this ER.

My fiancee and I have had one child here and plan to have another. The first room was a bit dirty asked for it to be cleaned and they quickly took care of it. One nurse was a bit of a pain but again with just a request the issue was dealt with. My fiancee was in active labor for over 24 hours and her doctor was very understanding and let her decide herself what to do only giving her advice along the way. Dr Rodriguez ended up performing a csection and I can say I was impressed with how steady and professionally he performed

By and large the doctors/nurses and general care are great. I would recommend this hospital IF you are in a private room. My father was in ICU for several weeks in 2018 and the care he received was excellent. However, the semi-private room situation is not good...especially when there are lots of visitors. You have zero privacy as only a thin curtain runs around the first bed and when it's completely closed there is no room for even one family member to sit by that bed. All discussions between patients and doctors/nurses are heard by all and if your loved one is temporarily bedridden and requires a bed pan, it is extra awful. My poor mother broke her hip and has to endure the indignity and embarrassment of using a bed pan with 10-15 visitors (men, women and children) a couple of feet away on the other side of the thin/somewhat sheer curtain surrounding her bed. It seems like better partitioning could be used to provide more privacy for both patients while still allowing for plenty of visitors.

Delivered my 3rd baby at Bay Area, and changing doctors and moving hospitals was the best choice I could have made. The labor and delivery team was so amazing and took such good care of baby and I. MJ The nurse went above and beyond expectations and made my recovery so smooth. This will be my last child, and she made it such a special experience that I will remember forever and treasure every moment

The recovery room people never gave me my discharge papers just a paper with my medicine on it . Just lucky enough for me to remember that the doctor took me off of two medicines but I had to call the doctor office to find out which ones they were .

I am sorry to give just one star only due to the fact that I loved my nurses and Drs. And I do intend to write a letter to the Administrator about how horrible the rest of my visit was. I'm not from here, but working. Got sick and spent two nights in this hospital. From the moment I arrived, I sat in my jeans under the sheet and blanket with no pillow for hours. Not a biggee, but standard procedure to be put into a gown and have a pillow, normal necessities. I also arrived around 1:oopm to the room after being at an urgent care and then an ER since 8am, so very hungry and thirsty. Continually asked for food and water. I believe I received a very bad plate of food around 7. That caused me to be concerned for the next day so I order Jason's Deli for the next lunch and supper. When the dietary folks called to ask what I wanted for lunch, I told them I had lunch. When they called for my supper request I told them I had my supper, but could I go ahead and order breakfast for the morning. I gave her the order and she asked when I wanted it. I said the earliest they could come in the morning and she said 7:30. At 7pm that night, they brought me that breakfast that had been ordered for the next day. I was in a semi private room with a person that had visitors from 7am til 11pm. No reqard for my being able to sleep, etc. The first night I only got to sleep b/c I was given something. The 2nd night I was given something and it did the opposite. So I did not go to sleep at all. And each time someone opened the door, if I was about to fall off, that stopped it. Even after 4am within 1/2 hr. two different people came in for no reason and left. Just enough to shine the bright light in. Being up for almost 24 hrs at that point, I hollered at them. It's never restful in a hospital, but when you force folks to share a room maybe get like minded illness, etc or at least on the same vital sign times, etc. The other person slept through everything. I had to ask them to come clean the room b/c I don't think it was cleaned before I got in that horrible bed. Other than that when I left the garbage cans will overspilling and the bathroom was not cleaned. Not sure what the issue is with their cleaning staff or dietary staff, but they surely need to be reviewed. I didn't know about any hospitals here and if I had known, I certainly would not have gone there. Semi private room would have been my very first reason not to go there. Seems this kind of review is normal for this hospital per this page. Might want to change things or shut the doors.

Worst care I have ever experienced. My husband didn't receive a bath for over a week till I raised a fuss, turn O2 up to 15 liters even though he has a Dx of COPD, didn't know what medicine the was giving him and tried to change his pacemaker, when he refused they found out the order was for the patient that had been in that bed before him. They keep him for 15 days, 7 days too many , because the Dr. didn't get his way. I have been a RN, BSN for over 30 years and would not bring my dog to that hospital.

Came here to make an awareness to future patients ...

Came here to make an awareness to future patients of the staff of this hospital bc I experience rudeness, unprofessionalism and something very odd, I only see this on tv shows or movies where nurses team up to go against the patient just bc that patient made a complaint to her superviser of the bad job and bad attitude she was receiving from her nurse while she was in pain. That's exactly what happen to me, I had to requested for a new nurse. I know patients have that right. And also I KNOW some patients are hard to deal with, I'm not one of them. When I did that All the nurses and staff knew what happened and everyone was talking about me, even when I called to order dinner, the lady from the phone at the end of order, she said my first name with this rude tone! Instance of the normal way they usually end up a phone call, like "ok ma'am, momma, Mrs. ____". Reading the reviews where most of them are negative and the sad part is that after months of complaints the administration haven't done ANYTHING to resolved patient's complains. I'm a patient here, I observed some laziness. Where are good nurses and deserves to be praise and recognized there hard work but thanks to others like the one I had, Irma, make look bad all the staff. Especially because the team up, very unprofessional and childless. Don't go or deliver in this hospital. The administration don't care about their patients and how their staff works. But their is a God who see and know everything. Everyone will get what they deserved.

Bad Care. Bad Communication. Bad Business. Dont go here. I never had this type of treatment at Spohn and I delivered two healthy babies there with no issues at all. Payment was a breeze. Bayarea clerical are crooks.

UPDATE: oh I've called them! They dont care! Ignore the fake attempts at trying to resolve below!

I still absolutely despise this hospital and their practice entirely. I was tricked by my dr. Glasiner while pregnant to go to the hospital because an emergency appendectomy. FALSE. I get there and they do nothing. We wait....alllll night.....nothing. they start feeding me fluids. Saline which cost 300$ a bag with insurance (didn't know at the time) . Made me stay the night promising surgery in the morning. Come morning they sent me home. With no EXPLANATION! That i had food poisoning, Maybe?? NO. I told them I never wanted to go to the hospital, that I felt fine. But they MADE me. So now I have this massive bill even with insurance that cost the same as my BIRTH!
I agreed to 35 dollars a month on my outstanding balance until they sent me to collections for being unable to pay during Harvey. They took a whack at my credit. I have been paying since and recently delt with real medical issues again and hadn't paid since early march 2019. They decided to send me to another collections agency. So that is twice! Now they threaten that if I dont pay the large amount in 45 days they will make another slash at my credit.

I was scheduled for surgery on 2/19/20. When I arrived I was greeted with nothing but kindness. The team that worked on me were amazing. Everyone answered my questions and made me feel very comfortable. I would love to thank all of the medical staff that worked on me that day. I would love to thank all the nurses who helped me through my recovery time. I truly appreciate all the nurses who kept my family informed and especially the OR nurses who made sure to get a message to my parents who i did not get a chance to see before surgery time. They made my parents feel really comfortable.

I would love to thank the Anesthesiologist who answered all my questions and answered all my question.

Most importantly my room nurses and aids who took care of me and made me feel very comfortable and were there by my side .

Thank you to everyone again for making my experience an amazing one.

I had surgery October 1st on my abdomen. I went to the ER on Oct 6th at Bay Area due to severe pain in my incision. I was seen in triage, and they suggested that I could have a hernia due to the burning pain I was feeling. I have severe bruising around my incision. I waited 3 hrs in the waiting room. When sitting it hurts my incision very badly. I was never placed in a room. My incision was never looked at. I wasn't given anything for pain. I waited 3 hrs in severe pain, and the only thing they accomplished was drawing blood. I ended up having to leave without being seen due to the severe pain from sitting.

I was pleased with the nursing staff both day and night as I was being seen during their nursing shift change, as well as the attending physician who was very kind. However I spend over 15 minutes trying to sign in due to the receptionist, I believe her name was Emily, constantly trying to tell me that I was better off being seen at another facility due to the ER's current traffic and her obvious need to do other tasks such as selling her baked goods (which she bragged was her side job and bragged that it was tax free income), at which point she even tried to sell some to me. I explained I was a diabetic and had chest pain and she simply offered to scrape off the icing for an additional charge and to wait in the lobby to be seen. It wasn't until an actual nurse took the time to come call me back and apologize for the wait, at which time the receptionist , Emily, was eating at her desk and on watching something on her phone, occasionally answering the phone and directing the calls to someone else who seemed much busier than her. I highly suspect that her rude attitude stems from her obvious single marital status, career frustration, and probable dependency on a small animal at home, seeing as she lacks normal communication skills. Other than the receptionist's lack of professionalism, the nursing staff and physicians were very kind, caring, and took great care of me. I will return as long as reception is improved. my care after being called back was superb and was discharged in a timely manner with great nursing staff, very friendly. Reception just needs major improvement and her behavior seems inappropriate for an emergent facility

Family suggested that I see Dr Glazener during my pregnancy and I m so glad I listened. I wouldn t have wanted to see anyone else. She delivered my daughter as well and my stay in the hospital was emotional due to my daughter being in NICU and myself being bedridden after an unplanned CSection but the nurses and staff were all great and they were there to help every step of the way. I fully recommend Dr Glazener any day. I m also very grateful for all the nurses that tended to my room during my stay.

Absolutely disgusted with the poor service, poor condition of the ER, and laziness of the staff. The reception staff was MIA for the most part and on the rare times they did show up they seemed to be clueless. For crying out loud, the security guard was doing reception work better than the trained staff. At least I saw him around. The best part was the staff going into the parking area looking for patients. Seriously? And what pisses me off more is the canned "We strive to provide all of our patients with excellent service ..." BS that follows complaints. Actually, you don't strive to do anything. Do something about it or shut the place down!

I must tell you a story about one of your ER nurse...

I must tell you a story about one of your ER nurses. His name is Dustin and he was working December 26th. We had been in the ER for about 6 hours before he came in. My brother had been throwing up blood constantly, several times a minute, but nothing had been done to address that. We'd seen doctor after doctor just watching him vomit blood. Dustin came in and I don't know what he saw on the screen but after a quick examination he said he needed to call a doctor right away. Within 10 minutes he had my brother in a trauma room with two new doctors. The first thing Dustin did was insert a nose tube and drain over 700 ccs of blood from his stomach. The relief to my brother was immediate and so dramatic. The total amount drained was 1300ccs in a few hours. As far as I'm concerned Dustin saved his life that night. The only caveat I have is that when he first came in his behavior came across to me as arrogant. He made a couple of comments that I thought were rude (I asked if what he was throwing up was blood and he said "What else would it be?" and the first time he really looked at by brother he said "You're a really sick guy!") He also didn't make eye contact. I almost went to report him to the nurse leader but then the turn of events were so dramatic I was too grateful to think of reporting him. He stayed with us then until 7 am when his shift was over and was so attentive, respectful, and very caring. So, you have a remarkable nurse that may need to work on his bedside manner a little. It gave me a bad first impression that was completely reversed in a matter of hours. My brother's name is Stephen Kelly and his D.O.B. is 5/31/63. We have him home now in hospice and very peaceful and comfortable. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Dustin!!!

My daughter is pregnant and was bleeding and cramping. She is still in her 1st trimester, so that is not unheard of, but she went in as a precaution. 4 hours in the waiting room and they diagnosed her w a bladder infection. Never went into a room. She asked about an ultra sound (we have private insurance) and they said they would not do one because she is only about 3 months and even if something were wrong there wasn t anything they could do. Great job guys, send a young pregnant woman home w no answers.

Went there with chest pains. I have had several strokes and i am diabetic. So i sit for over an hour to be called back. The nurse called me to triage while in there another dr comes in complaining about a surgical dr expecting him to do more. The dr told my nurse to bring me nitro and an asprin in the waiting room. Sat there for another 45 minutes and nothing... I left and went to Spohn Hospital where i was immediately taken back... Will never go to this hospital again. I don't care how close i live.

I read these reviews, and they range from one end ...

I read these reviews, and they range from one end of the spectrum to another. I can't believe it is the same hospital. I have nothing but good things to say about this hospital and the staff that attended my husband when he went in to have his prostate removed because of early cancer detection. First, major kudos to Dr. Alan Nisbet, the best urologist in Texas, in our opinion. He's done over 300 prostatectomies. Expert in the Da Vinci robot, and my husband's prostatectomy was a breeze. Still surgery, mind you, and everyone we encountered on the staff, including the nurses, the nurses' aids, the nurse manager, and even the lady who brought the meals...cheerful, courteous, knowledgable, and sincere, and did everything they could to monitor my husband and help him during his recovery there. Everyone moved about efficiently and with great coordination. We walked the halls numerous times during our few days at the Corpus Christi Medical Center (Bay Area), 3 West, and we saw many employees and much activity. There were very few times that we weren't greeted. Every nurse that took care of my husband was efficient and sweet, espcially Lindsey, Erica, Rina (nurse's aid), and even Oscar was super accommodating and patient when we went for my husband's first short walk. Blanca was nice, too. But I think the one my husband will remember most is Jacki. Her father did 3 tours in Vietnam, and my husband is a Vietnam vet. Jacki seemed to take a personal interest in us, and she gave very clear and careful instructions before we left, because I needed to know how to take care of my husband's foley bag and JP drain, especially. She even gave me the phone number to the nurse's station in case I had a question after we got home. Jacki was so helpful, and gave my husband a hug as he got out of the wheelchair before he got into the car. My husband got teary-eyed. We couldn't be more impressed with these wonderful people on the 3 West ward of Corpus Christi Medical Center, and I would recommend this hospital to anyone.

I had a total hysterectomy done and stayed for two nights due to slight complications. I was there from 1/14/2020 to 1/26/2020. Both my night nurse and my day nurse were WONDERFUL! My day nurse was Margaret, and unfortunately, I can't remember my night nurse's name, but I hope you can look it up. Everyone from the nurses to surgical staff to radiology to hospitality were so kind and compassionate. This will always be my favorite hospital to have any procedure done in. It was clean, quiet, and the environment was calm.

Very rude and uncaring staff in Er Dept. Only was triaged and left after getting no service in 4 hrs. Then I get a bill for 1400$. Taking it to my lawyer, this is outrageous! Even attempted to call the head of Er Dept to discuss concerns to not get any calls returned. I m not letting it go, they will be handled with legal charges for falsely charging me. They knew better than to send it to my insurance cause that would be a felony. This will be addressed cause I m not going away!!!

I went into labor at 7am. From the moment I got to the ER, all the way until my discharge, everyone I encountered in their staff were amazing! I was so scared since this is my first delivery but all of my nurses made me feel at ease the entire process. When I got into the first room I had a nurse named Brenda, she was so sweet. She could tell I was nervous and helped me step by step prepare for labor. I had some complications so I needed an emergency c section. That scared me so much but the anesthesiologist and nurses were extremely confident and answered all of my questions and helped me through the entire process. When I got to my recovery room and room I stayed in until discharge, I had nurse Angie K. She was the sweetest person I've ever met! I was in so much pain from surgery but she was patient with me and helped me recover and walk again. Angie was just amazing! I highly recommend Bay Area to any expecting mother!

I had a relative in this hospital for several weeks in May. When my husband and I showed up to see my relative in ICU I was surprised and shocked by how dirty it was and the shortage of nurses there were. At that point we made sure someone was up there with my relative most all the time. We would constantly have to find the nurse to take care of my relative. One night the telemetry system between the patients areas and the nurses station was not working. You would think the nurses would be constantly monitoring the patients but they didn t. If you have a major heart issue take the extra time and go to Houston or San Antonio. Do not use this facility. The quality of care is substandard.

This facility would benefit immensely if they hired more qualified nurses and more cleaning staff to keep the facility clean.

And I m more than welcome for the hospital to know my name. Debra Christian

Today s hospital receptionist was unapologetically rude. I simply asked to be transferred to a particular Dr s office and she initially refused because she Would be dialing the same number I was having trouble reaching. She reluctantly transferred me and I got through to the office with no problem. It was impossible for her to comprehend that outside phone calls would be different from internal places calls. I wasn t asking her to do more than her job and she acted more than unprofessional. Very poor customer service.

I'm gonna give a 3 I went there to have my baby...the nurse's from labor and delivery were awsome!!! They were so kind and make you feel comfortable around them..truly amazing!! Now the flabotamist no they suck...they blew almost every vein I had in my arms..in was literally purple on both arms ..13 days later and my arms are still black and blue...now the nurse's from post partum after delivery were not so nice either...they were actually kind of rude...I was there for 4 days and only 1 nurse in post partum were nice..the rest shouldn't be nurse's for real. The nurse's for the babies..amazing as well..they were all so friendly and caring and nurturing to our little one. They kept us very informed of what was going on when they would take our princess for tests. The doctor's were great too...I think it needs a little more communication between doctor's and nurse's because some of the time the nurse's seemed confused as too what was gonna happen next!!..but they were friendly and very comforting to be around. There was a nurse named Meagan and Stacy those 2 nurse's from labor n delivery absolutely amazing. Thank you to both of you. The nurse that was with me through my emergency c section I can't remember your name due to all the drugs given for c section thank you for staying with me and keeping me calm. You were amazing as well.

Let me start by saying that I copied and pasted this review because I had the same experience as the person that posted it. The only difference was the care givers I had were the night shift since my stay was overnight and half a day. This was my first time having a procedure done at this hospital and everything went so smoothly from the time my surgery was scheduled to the minute I was helped out to my vehicle upon discharge. The staff and nurses at the hospital we re kind and helpful through the entire process. During my stay I feel like I was treated with the utmost respect and care. I am 100% happy with the care I was given. My nurse Cherity, and aide Faith were the kindest gentlest and most respectful I have ever had. I would like to thank everyone who aided in my care from the bottom of my heart for providing the best possible care and making me feel comfortable during my stay.

This is a compliant! Corpus Christi Medical Center...

This is a compliant! Corpus Christi Medical Center Hospital - Bay Area on South Padre Island Drive (the ER department specifically) customer service is terrible and had steadily declining over the last couple years. I'm a patient with a chronic disease and my doctors' office is located in the hospital. I typically have a "flare up" 1-2 times per year. My doctor has advised me to go directly to the ER during these flare ups. I had a flare last night around 11:30pm and went to the ER. While the wait time to be seen is typically excellent, the service once you are in a room or on a bed is terrible and has declined each visit. These "flare ups" cause excruciating abdominal pain, nausea because of the pain intensity and vomiting. I was basically thrown in a bed and waited in pain. The nurse and nurse practitioner that took me to my room was not welcoming and made me feel like I was inconveniencing them. Offered no blanket, vomit bag, I had to get it myself. That is unacceptable for how much money we pay for medical services. It took approximately 30 minutes before a nurse came to my room for my IV. I told the triage folks and the nurse I was experiencing excruciating pain and nausea. So I waited for a least an hour before I pushed the help button, but not a single person showed up, was told by the person that picked up they would let the doctor know. Approximately 20-30 minutes passed, so I pushed it again. Finally, a nurse came in shortly after (10-15 more minutes) and gave me pain medicine and informed me I needed to drink some contrast for a CT scan to rule out an appendix issue, but I informed them eating and drinking causes more pain during flare ups and my doctor usually orders the contrast through the IV during the CT scan. All they had to do was review my past visits/records and understand what to do. This was by far the worst service I have seen or experienced in an ER. Flare ups are intestinal inflammation and need to be treated with much more urgency, care and compassion than what I received last night. The ER doctor also came in with the nurse. I asked for an explanation for the long wait and her response was short and snappy..."I'm the only dr in the entire hospital and I was dealing with a dying patient in room 1." While I understand there are matters that require quicker attention than others, some pain and nausea medicine to hold me over until she could come talk to me would have been a better approach vs. letting me lay there. Believe me if I could treat these flare ups at home I would, but I can't because of the pain. I also stand the risk of being exposed to other illnesses while being there. I could have just stayed home, there was nothing the ER did that I couldn't have done myself in my home. I will not be stopping with this review, emailing/contacting the director. I'm appalled at the terrible service and I'm requesting some type of internal investigation for the folks that were in the ER last night. This is ridiculous. Next time I will go to the an urgent care and get better service.

I had a tubal ligation back in May 2016 and according to Monica from Dr. Ommani's office everything was good to go with the pre-authorization with my insurance. Then months later NPAS is billing me close to 3400 based on a no insurance discount which caught me by surprise. Well I just received the good news that the claim would be paid after submitting appeals to my insurance and so many calls that I lost track. This hospital according to my insurance was out of network and they had a miscommunication with the provider. I was basically on my own fighting this but finally it's getting paid. This hospital has a third party billing service called NPAS which is the worst as well as their patient services customer service. Their level of customer service is non existent. I am extremely frustrated that I have spent so many hours trying to resolve this. I also submitted a complaint with TDI against my insurance. Just do your diligent homework before you get anything done at this hospital. It seems like they don't even want to get paid. They rather sent you to collections!! Worst experience ever!!

Well it is now Feb 28 2018 and NPAS claims they have not received payment from my insurance. My insurance sent them the proof they had via fax and sent it to me by mail as well. I talked to NPAS and they still claim they did not get the fax proof so I sent what I had via fax as well. I will mail it and follow up with patient account services by calling their 713 area number because NPAS is impossible to deal with. I can't imagine having a serious chronic disease and having to deal with all this.

April 2018 finally the hospital got paid and I paid my part which was around $360 so I can finally say this case has been closed after two years. I no longer have the Christus health plan and Dr. Ommani no longer accepts that insurance since last year.

They could not wait to release my daughter from the ER after having a seizure. I told them I was driving in from Houston to pick her up. She is going to university there. So she is in a wheelchair totally out of it outside of the ER department. Luckily no one harmed her or she got out on SPD and got ran over. Totally negligent on their who does this? This hospital is not very professional and doesn t care for their patients.

I really do NOT recommend Bay Area I had a seizure while driving on Feb 24th and was taken by ambulance to the hospital and I sat out in front of the nurses station for 6 hours for them just to discharge me with literally NOT telling me why I had a seizure or what to do if i have another one.

I am very unimpressed with Bay area this would be the second time I get released and not admitted. I was there a couple months ago and with severe pains too my gallbladder area and the doctor on duty was very dismissive and didn't care to look thoroughly at me. If he would have taken the time to do some scans on me I had needed to remove my gallbladder which I have had done already. I recently went in there with a blood pressure reading 200 over 120 with the rapid heartbeat. They also knew I was covid positive along with underline conditions such as past heart attacks and open heart surgery. I was just told to go home and rough it out all while my blood pressure was still severely high. I don't know why they are so concerned on rushing me out when my insurance is taking care of the medical end of the bill it's being paid for whether by myself or my insurance. I understand that these are hard times and everybody is going through something but to be pushed off to the side like I didn't matter was not a great visit and did not say much about your hospital. The whole visit lacked empathy and care for a patient.

I went to Bay Area ER and was promptly checked in and my vitals checked out. They did a n EKG, X-Ray and decided I needed more test, however, they did not have a room available, so they transported me to Doctors Regional where they ran an Echo and Chemical Stress test in which all came back normal!

I was impressed with their professionalism and attentiveness at both Bay Area and Doctors Regional! I would be hard pressed to select any one individual over the other, since all were very accommodating and very professional and attentive . My thanks to the Staff of both of these hospitals!

My husband and I were on vacation with our family,...

My husband and I were on vacation with our family, when he was struck with overwhelming pain from a kidney stone. We arrived at the ER only to find no one but a security guard at the front desk. It wasn't until my husband collapsed in pain that the guard went to get someone. The time in which it took to get a room was decent but the compassion and empathy from any of the staff was truly lacking. Although my husband explained he had several kidney stones before , they were in no way eager to get an IV drip initiated. The person drawing the blood behaved as though he had never drawn blood before , missing my husbands veins numerous times. A CT scan was performed that took all of 5 minutes, which by the way we were charged $10,592 for! At this point my husband was still asking for relief and asked the tech to please send the doctor in. Although she , Dr. Kimberly Dabbs had but 1 other patient and was sitting behind the desk, there was no urgency to check on his pain level. The woman collecting the insurance info was extremely brash and rude! Upon attempting to walk my husband to the room, she asked me to give our insurance info. At which time I explained I would be there in a few moments . Apparently, she didn't like that answer as she mumbled something under her breath. As I went to provide info for insurance she asked me to sign numerous pages and was very irritated that I would actually want to READ before I signed. Meanwhile my husband is still in pain and an IV drip to help push the kidney stone has still not been administered. However , Dr. Kimberly Dabbs comes in to discharge my husband, stating there's nothing more we can do. I explain that we're not looking for a miracle, just to get some relief from the pain. She was extremely aloof. It wasn't until I explained again that he had, had kidney stones in the past and a saline IV drip had proven beneficial, did she hesitantly get one started . The bed side manner of each employee, (with the exception of one male day nurse) was beyond disbelief.
We received our bill shortly after the visit, only to discover we had been charged over $16,000, for a list of procedures and medications that were never provided . We called the hospital to discuss the outrageous charge for a CT scan, to have them tell us that the "customary" charge is $800-$1500. We have spoken to numerous people in billing, only to have them tell us that the charges are all correct .

HOW is being charged over $10,000 for a CT scan and numerous medications that were never administered, along with fictitious "tests" they ran "correct"??!

My husband (aged 91) had something lodged in his esophagus and could not keep anything down. We were miles from home, In a strange city and needed help. We finally arrived at Bay Area ER and hardly had time to sit down until being called in. From there things moved very quickly with a wonderful Dr., Trenton Martinez and attentive nurse Armando. My husband was quickly treated and checked on often. Dr. MArtinez gave us the all clear about 1:00 am and Armando arranged our discharge in ten minutes. Although the Er was dingy and small and restroom in need of a total re-do, we could not be more pleased in our care and treatment.

My experience was extremely frustrating! There was absolutely no communication from the nursing staff. When I persisted on feedback regarding my status on getting my lab work done, I was barmbarted by unprofessional, rude nurses! After 5 hours, finally the flebotamist showed up and was a very polite young man! Brendon obtained my blood with just one stick, while the nurses poked me about 10 times! One other positive thing I have to say is a young lady by the name of Jackie found my Angel broach, and returned it to me! Those were the only positive experiences I had!

I came in at 2:30 am for low back pain that was radiating down my right leg. I was quickly taken care of and was discharged home in less than 2 hours. They were great and very caring. I told the doctor that I have PsA and it seems like a flare up to me.
