My husband and I were on vacation with our family,...

My husband and I were on vacation with our family, when he was struck with overwhelming pain from a kidney stone. We arrived at the ER only to find no one but a security guard at the front desk. It wasn't until my husband collapsed in pain that the guard went to get someone. The time in which it took to get a room was decent but the compassion and empathy from any of the staff was truly lacking. Although my husband explained he had several kidney stones before , they were in no way eager to get an IV drip initiated. The person drawing the blood behaved as though he had never drawn blood before , missing my husbands veins numerous times. A CT scan was performed that took all of 5 minutes, which by the way we were charged $10,592 for! At this point my husband was still asking for relief and asked the tech to please send the doctor in. Although she , Dr. Kimberly Dabbs had but 1 other patient and was sitting behind the desk, there was no urgency to check on his pain level. The woman collecting the insurance info was extremely brash and rude! Upon attempting to walk my husband to the room, she asked me to give our insurance info. At which time I explained I would be there in a few moments . Apparently, she didn't like that answer as she mumbled something under her breath. As I went to provide info for insurance she asked me to sign numerous pages and was very irritated that I would actually want to READ before I signed. Meanwhile my husband is still in pain and an IV drip to help push the kidney stone has still not been administered. However , Dr. Kimberly Dabbs comes in to discharge my husband, stating there's nothing more we can do. I explain that we're not looking for a miracle, just to get some relief from the pain. She was extremely aloof. It wasn't until I explained again that he had, had kidney stones in the past and a saline IV drip had proven beneficial, did she hesitantly get one started . The bed side manner of each employee, (with the exception of one male day nurse) was beyond disbelief.
We received our bill shortly after the visit, only to discover we had been charged over $16,000, for a list of procedures and medications that were never provided . We called the hospital to discuss the outrageous charge for a CT scan, to have them tell us that the "customary" charge is $800-$1500. We have spoken to numerous people in billing, only to have them tell us that the charges are all correct .

HOW is being charged over $10,000 for a CT scan and numerous medications that were never administered, along with fictitious "tests" they ran "correct"??!
