i switched over and am happy i did. I was with Comwave for 3 years. The price of my 15 mps was with taxes up to 70 per month. i switched over to 60 mps with co extro and it went to $62.15 a month after the three month special. So 4 times the speed for less money. Comwave said they would match it after i cancelled. If they could have matched it maybe they should have done that before being such a long term customer. Thanks Co Extro. Ps just hooked my brother in law up too !!!!

My internet is generally quick. It's a cheap price at first but then its double after a year so it's not the best price. I called because my internet had been down for a hour and was hung up on multiple times so I eventually called billing and asked to be transferred to technical support. I was transferred no problem (so why couldn't I get through before) but then the technical support person basically said my router is broken and there's nothing he could do. I left my router unplugged for a few minutes and then plugged it back in and it works now. So he was wrong and im disappointed they didnt stick with me til the end or provide some advice for a better router if mine was in fact not working.
The internet was very stable and reliable. The speeds I got were better than any other provider I've used and the price was very competitive. If I ever move to a place that has access to their service again, they will be my first choice.
Initially I couldn't get a technician's appointment when I wanted so I had to be without internet for a couple of days hence I recommend to book in advance.
Internet was down one day recently but overall the cost, the speed is good..
Yes, they can improve customer service but it's a cheap and value for money plan and I don't mind a few glitches here and there..

We recently moved to Mississauga and opted from Coextro as ISP after seeing reviews on Google. They are the best service providers and cost effective. Its been almost a month and we have no complaints with the speed or connectivity (even in basement) of the connection. The installation process is also very smooth and they tell all the necessary charges upfront. I would definitely recommend it!

Actual internet speed isn't even close to the speed that I signed up for. Sometimes its unusably slow. Support is pretty bad. I had to call multiple times to get things resolved (although they never actually got resolved). Emails go unanswered.

BUY WITH CAUTION - if you are coming from another service provider, be aware that it may take DAYS to transfer the service over, despite what they tell you at point of sale. I m still waiting to get connected - almost 24 hours now. I asked if there would be a lapse in service when I ordered on the phone and they said no. I asked again with their team two more times before install, and all I was told is there would be a short gap. Now I have been without internet for the day and they re telling me up to another 48 hours. So if you work from home like me and rely on the Internet, be extra aware it may take days- their staff definitely wont inform you until it s too late.
not sure where to start but by far worst connection ever. you will lose internet connection a few times throughout the day for long period of times. customer support is useless because all they say is reboot your modem.
Very friendly and easy company to deal with. I had a lot of questions and the sales rep answered them all and was very patient with me. I got the service installed last week and wanted to wait a while before posting a review but I can now say that I am very happy with the service that I have received and I am saving a lot of money, so happy with that as well.
Switched to Coextro about a year ago. The price compared to Cogeco here in Windsor was about 50% less. The install was QUICK and FLAWLESS and the installer was thorough, and even routed a new cable and checked the connections and fitness of Cogeco's past hardware. Customer service has been friendly and efficient. Overall, I do not hesitate to recommend Coextro to friends and associates.
Moving to Oakville and there were a significant amount of ISP's available to me. I chose Coextro based on pricing and reviews. I must say, we are very happy with their services from all aspects. Never had a break in service, never had any issues getting customer service on the phone. We will absolutely continue to recommend Coextro.

Internet service is cheap not only in cost but even cheap quality and pathetic customer service. I got this internet few weeks back and even though they promised 500mbps speed, I could hardly get over 40. Yes I am not missing another 0. It is 40mbps. Apart from slow speed the service keeps getting dropped and I need to switch to my mobile Data for my professional work and keep explaining to my bosses why I am on and off. It is a big disgrace. Now since more than 24hrs the internet is down. Completely out. My family cannot watch any streaming services on TV, I cannot work reliably and have to spend a lot of time from my busy schedule calling their customer service, emailing them and writing reviews like this to get their attention.

You acknowledge the slow speed issue and not bump it up or fix it from ur side until I call back again? To your same point of "Did you call back?" Did You provide communication toe regarding the compensation for loss of service?
It is easy to put the blame back on customer when you dont do the job. Do not advertise that ur product is better and reliable when u cant be proactive to resolve customer issues.

I have a 500 mbps plan but I just get 200 mbps since day 1. After follow up for 2 weeks with the customer support , I haven t received any resolution or haven t heard any update from the support team what do ever. Worst service !
Just got off a call with a Coextro CS staff. The worst experience ever and height of mis-commitment. Been a customer for over an year. Couple of months back there was a Bell offer in our building for 500mbps upload and download (guaranteed). Called Coextro to cancel my account which was 250mbps (and I was getting pretty much the speed promised) and at a much higher price. They offered to match and asked me to stick around, which (unfortunately) I agreed to. Now for the last 1 month I'm getting the worst speed (125 download and 27 upload). I raised a ticket and after much deliberation they're telling me that my hardware is probably giving the issue and that to test it by a technician visit, they have to charge me $75 and I'm like are you kidding me. So be wary of Coextro commitments, for me, I will switch the moment I get the next offer in my building.
I have had Coextro for less than 2 months. I called tech support more than, 10 times regarding the same issue. Every single day from 7 pm to 11 pm internet is throttled. I never got anything above 30mbs, while my plan is for 150mbs. It gets so bad to a point where Netflix, Amazon prime, Social Media and even YouTube does not load up and it lags. Technical support team only works until 9 pm, so if you have any issue after that you need to wait until 9 am next morning for a solution, even than no direct solution is available because they have to open a ticket with Rogers, wait for them to respond back before any action can be taken. There is no accountability from anyone, huge communication gap between service providers to vendor to end user.
I have had a Rogers technician come to the house to figure out the issue 1st time and they advised everything is normal, despite the issue being persistent. 2nd tech arrived and determined there is been speed issue with other customers in the area as well and Rogers service team will be notified to take a look at the main line. However, Coextro has no knowledge of that report, they expect the customer to call them back and tell them what the technician advised and what the next course of action should be. If the customer has to do all the work, what is the company good for? Why is there even a need for Coextro, might as well go buy directly from Rogers and work them directly to resolve the issue. I called and asked the question to Coextro technical team why don t they have open communication with the Rogers tech directly. Once the tech determines his findings report should be made available to both Rogers and Coextro. Expecting the customer to advise what the issue is like playing broken telephone. Again back to the communication issue and no accountability. Moral of the story is you pay for what you get cheap prices=trash service.
Just started a week ago. Service so far was very nice and professional. I got 150mb for a great price, and speed and signal is beyond expectations. I hope to continue enjoying the high quality.
Let me begin by saying absolutely fantastic customer service. However, here is my story and why I say this.... Called, signed up, picked up modem...no problem. Tech showed up on scheduled date (rogers tech obviously), to watch me plug in the modem and waited to turn on. Not sure why they even have to send a tech but I guess that is the protocol. (i was previously with rogers so the line is there). Service worked for that day, no problems. Next day, rogers outage in area (due to maintenance)...cable, internet, home phone all down for me and all my neighbors as well. (obviously a rogers thing) No big deal, these things happen. Within a day or so, all rogers services were back up and running, but my coextro internet would not work. modem was online, showing that it was working, but no internet. This went on for about 1.5 weeks. I will say, that coextro support is amazing....I got daily calls trying to find the solution. One of the partners even came personally to my house for a modem swap, which did not solve the issue, but it was nice to see they were trying. After all was said and explained, they did get my internet working. Although they were very professional about it, I believe that this was a rogers issue (intentional or not). In the end, problem solved. Working great, and I was well compensated for my troubles. Point is this, unfortunately we are all at the mercy of rogers or bell, as they own the lines. So be patient when problems come up. But I will say this, if more Canadians would show these big companies that we don't want to be ripped off anymore, by leaving rogers/bell, then companies like coextro, with their excellent customer service and prices, would be able to be even better.
Overall, unique experience, with a positive end....Good service, steady speed, never less then what I am paying for, and great customer service. keep it up guys, and I hope more people realize the games that bell/rogers plays when it comes to third party suppliers, and stop blaming the suppliers....
I can't say enough good things about how great my experience with Coextro has been. Even before I get to the quality of their product, let me say just what a joy it is to interact with their staff at every level.
These days it seems that at every step, whether it be a grocery store, insurance provider, renovation contractor, or what have you, I see nothing but incompetence, or non existent communication skills and no pride of workmanship. Often those in customer service don't even understand the question, let alone provide an adequate response. It can be hugely draining on one's time and nerves.
No so with Coextro. I can't think of another company where staff have gone "above and beyond" to help a client the way the technician who came to my location did, and did it with a smile. My friend, now retired from an I.T. career, is jealous of my internet speed, too! You cannot go wrong picking Coextro for your ISP. I wouldn't dream of looking elsewhere .... and I'm a very fussy guy!
I have been facing internet outage for 2 straight days with intermittent low speed service. Now it is totally down! I have been frantically trying to reach Coextro's tech support with No Success! Finally got to speak with a customer service rep called ALLEN. He was most unapologetic, unfriendly, unhelpful, indifferent and cold. Coextro's automated voice response says service outage status updates are available on their website. I could not find it anywhere!!! Is anyone at Coextro' really listening? Working and schooling from home. Internet outage for 2 days is NOT AN OPTION. You guys must change those words on your website to Unfriendly. Unresponsive.. Unreliable...

I have been with this company over a year after refusing to ever do business with Rogers. I always have a positive experience with the contact center. 1. My internet went down in the morning and they sent tech to fix the issue right away.
Moving arrangements had to be made and it was also an excellent experience. Very organized and timely service.
I've been with the ISP for 4 years now. recently I had Internet issue for over a week, I was getting 100+ ping and inconsistent download speeds, from 10mbps to 180mbps (my plan is 250mps). I called and wrote email, tech support said to take a picture and send it to them, which I did, did not hear from them since. My internet was completely out on a Saturday at around 5pm. They said it will be fixed in an hour, I call back again around 7pm it goes to voicemail and stated it will take 2 hours for them to call me back. I never hear from them until Sunday morning at 10am. A guy named Nick said he sent the problem to the supervisor, they will get back to me. I called in every 2 hours to check, as I am completely without internet for about 24 hours now. I asked if there was no supervisor working on the weekends he did not give me a clear answer and just asked me to wait and can not give me an estimated time. So I called sales and escalated and report, they told me the truth that there was no supervisor working on the weekends and I'm expected to get my call back Monday morning. Like this is such BS tech support, not only was I kept from the truth for 24 hours, I most likely will not have my internet until Monday or even later. Nick should be fired immediately. Horrible experience, already looking for other ISP. Do no recommend.
Great customer service! I've been a customer for a year and saw their promotion and when I phoned about it they were able to offer it to me. They didn't place me on hold while they transferred me to another department and were able to apply the discount on the spot.
After reading all the replies to the 1 star review I've decided to leave an accurate one.
I've had coextro for about 4 years. We bought our modem and it's still functioning as it should. The odd restart and it's fine. My ONLY complaint was with the Cogeco installer. He installed it in a room and I don't get the greatest wifi even 20 ft away. My research leads me to believe its its bec I have a old house with plaster walls. The installer should have known not to install it in that room. Other than that costumer service and service has been great we buy a 40/10 line and we get just over 40 forafor DL and 11 and change on the UL. We will be calling later today to see if we can get this modem moved and I'm sure the costumer service will be fantastic.
Leaving Cogeco Cable and going with Coextro, recommend by friends. Signed up late Friday the 7th of December 2018 with the Coextro supplied install date of Friday the 14th of December. My purchased modem would take 2-3 business days to arrive. Thursday afternoon, the 13th of December no modem. Call Coextro Customer Service...all they can say is my modem is "in transit" and supply a tracking number with Canada Post. I would assume it would have shipped Monday the 10th of December. Customer Service as well as a Manager could not/would not say when the modem left their building stating "I will call you back". Needless to say no call back. Late Thursday 13th December E Mail received from Canada post indicating a Tracking number was created at 1132am that day....which means the item had not been shipped as of this time. What happened to 2-3 business days? Friday 14th December install date comes and goes...no modem. Late Friday the 14th of December receive an E Mail from Canada Post...delay in delivery until at least Tuesday the 18th of December. I signed up with Coextro with the expectation the transition would be quick and easy, as well as leaving Cogeco early in my billing cycle to avoid the higher cost. Coextro is a local company, disruption at the Post Office is old news. If you advertise a delivery date ensure you "deliver".....there are other more reliable options out there. If I dint have almost two weeks invested in this changeover I would move on to another provider. This is poor Customer Service.
I was always on the hunt for a good, reliable and affordable Internet connection and nothing could beat the deal Coextro was offering. Installation was quick and easy. Extremely good customer service. Don't have to waste time on the phone waiting for a customer service agent. A breath of fresh air dealing with these guys compared to my old Blue company. Hope they keep it up!
Not a very reliable provider major issues my plan is 150mbps 15mbps upload speeds and lately been averaging way under the speeds range at around 10mbps. Trying to get my speeds back to normal range has been exhausting and basically been told to wait 2months for someone to "look into it" while still be charged FULL price for a sloppy service. NOT HAPPY AT ALL WITH THIS COMPANY WOULDN'T RECOMMEND TO MY FRIENDS
Very good service, only few times I had a service problem because of the outage in the area but customer service made sure that I get my service back ASAP by connecting back and providing updates. They also send text messages for updates if can't connect via phone..
The service constantly drops. You ll have no internet for 25 mins, then it ll be back online for 30 mins before dropping offline again. When it is online, it is often very slow. Slow enough to make scrolling through a newsfeed unfeasible. By far the worst internet provider I ve ever had!

The internet is great- fast, unlimited and cheap. The customer service is great too- very friendly and helpful.
The cable tv is where coextro falls behind. It's glitchy at times, and is not user friendly. You can't watch and surf channels at the same time. Also you can't go directly to the channel you want to watch. You have to scroll through the guide so it's time consuming. You don't even get a proper universal remote, just a small Roku remote with limited functions.
With a premium tv experience they would get 5 stars from me easy.
Overall good service compared to other internet providers! Had a problem with my internet connection, and I called and Coextro picked up right away. Last time they called me back when they were busy so they are responsive! I told them it disconnects and was slow sometimes. They reset my internet connection and didn't disconnect anymore. But they also sent someone over to check connection outside and it fixed my slow internet speed.
I cancelled my cable internet service from Rogers and haven't regretted it once. My service from Coextro is fast and reliable at a much more reasonable price. I highly recommend them!

Alexa listened patiently as I explained my concerns, and quickly investigated the issue. She solved my issue with no difficulty or confusion, and reimbursed me for previous charges I had received. Have same issue as previous reviewGreview. The last couple weeks has been very very bad. Internet keeps cutting out, and nowadays it doesn't even come back. It cut out yesterday around 1, 2pm, and didn't come back until this morning. Was working and went out all of a sudden again. It is now 130 pm and I have been on hold for 30 mins trying to get through. When I email them, they always say everything is fine on their end... If it skeeps happening, I will be switching next month.
I thought Teksavvy gave good prices but these guys are the best that I've found. $80/month for 250GB speed with unlimited data is pretty good. You will probably have to buy a new modem with them, but the price savings per month are worth it. Been using their internet for 3 months now and no major problems. Speed tests are also on par with what they advertise.

EDIT: I have changed my rating from a 5 star to a 3. After having issues with my modem and learning that it needed to be replaced after 2 years (because apparently that's the life-span of the modems they sell you), I was ill-advised by one of their tech support to purchase a cable modem for my DSL internet... I have now been trying to run a business with no internet for 5 days. Customer service has been giving me the run-around: telling me they will call me back and then not, creating further delays and they are not willing to make any extra effort to make this right, which, I believe, is the basis of good customer service and would be enough to satisfy me. I have lodged a complaint but I don't expect anything to come of it. This is not the first customer service issue I have had with them.
As an additional note, they advised me that I could purchase my own modem, but I see in these reviews that if you purchase your own modem, they will not be willing to support it. They did not advise me of this in our discussion. The conclusion is that their customer service department could benefit from some good, competent training in communicating clearly, effectively and accurately with their customers.
ORIGINAL POST: Just had my modem installed this afternoon and I'm very pleased so far. Customer service was fast and competent. Internet is twice as fast for half as much as I was paying with Bell. I'm in a detached house in Guelph ON
I called last Tuesday to book an appointment for this Tuesday. I then get an email saying they had to move it back a day. It is now Thursday and I still do not have service. I get a call saying to get another technician in it would take another 5 to 10 business days. That would be another 3 total weeks with no service. I have already paid the installation fee. I just wish they set up the service as quickly as they took my money.
Hadid, an internet/phone technician has been exceptionally helpful in setting up my internet connection. I encountered a problem that could not be solved quickly because a technician could not enter my home during the COVID crisis. However Hadid was patient and gave me multiple solutions in how to approach the issue. In the end, the problem was resolved and I am incredibly grateful for Hadid's help. He makes a great first impression to the customer service abilities of Coextro, especially for a first time customer.
Additionally internet service has been fast, responsive, and cheaper than most big name service providers.
Great service, fair prices for fast internet, and good customer support. Every now and then some service interruptions, but they are minimal and short (two minutes). Quite happy with this service provider.

Recently switched my internet service to Coextro. New modem arrived within a few days, switch was done within 90 minutes on the date promised. So far, service is the same as I had with previous provider but 50% less. From I've seen so far, I would recommend Coextro to anyone looking for an alternative to the usual providers in the GTA.

We have had 3 problem-free years with their internet and just today signed up for a TV package. I've never known another company that was so transparent in their offers - no fast-talking sales pitch - just down-to-earth, pleasant customer service, and no confusing deals. What you see is what you get. I have had the unpleasant experience of working in a call centre that took calls for both Rogers and Bell, and believe me, because of the commission incentive, what they say is not transparent, and you better read the fine print before you agree to anything. Coextro doesn't force a contract onto you and then saddle you with something you didn't want, and if you ever have a problem or question, they are available, answer your call immediately, and you get to talk to an actual person - none of the telephone nightmares with the bigger companies. I have used Coextro for over a year and can honestly say there service is as good as, or better than, the majors providers. And responsiveness to questions or service issues is A1. I highly recommend them based on my experience.
I had horrible experience! They set my plan up got and installation fee router fee and modem fee ... so fully charged saying I can have the 50mbps download and said location is fine , once they had the money they said no u can only have 25mbps at same price at that location then says 2-3 days for refund after asking for it ! Company is unprofessional and horrible with customer service , I would ask a question and lady sat in silence , Melissa is the lady who promised and Failed to deliver do not hire as your internet provider !
I rarely post any reviews but the service I received today deserved one. I needed to call in to sort of a billing and account issue that I thought was resolved after I had called a couple weeks back. Luckily this time I landed on Cindy and she provided impeccable service. She was professional and instantly recognized the what had occurred and corrected it for me. Thank you Cindy.
So where do I start? I am about to move in to my new place and was looking for an internet provider. I found Coextro and I ordered R cable for my address half of month ago wishing it should give them more than enough time(which is a month) to set everything up by September when I move in. So I ordered the service and received an email saying they will be in touch with me after they confirm the service with Rogers. Now it s 2 weeks and I still haven t heard anything back, not an email or a phone call, so I decided to call back. I was being told that my order has already been archived because Rogers rejected my order despite that on the Coextro website it says my address is available for a R-cable. Now, I need to start looking for an internet service provider and who knows if I will have enough time to set it up by September when I move in. People, it s not the way you do business like this!! I understand that sometimes bad things happen. But how the *uck that you just ignored it and not letting me know. Oh because I can t order the internet service from you so I am technically not your customer any more and you could do whatever you want? I waited for 2 weeks for nothing and I was still believing that it was just under progress before I made the phone call!! This is really a bad experience!
I had recently signed up for Coextro and within a week (Thursday 18th) my internet went down. I called and requested technical support however it could not be diagnosed over the phone and I was advised a technician would have to be dispatched.
I was disappointed when the next earliest availability was July 4th! I placed another call to support and expressed the urgency of having internet within my unit because my roommate and I work from home and they were able to move the appointment to June 2nd and provide a $10.00 credit for the week that was lost. This credit should've been issued during my FIRST call.
I understand that the Coextro may not have the manpower that the larger corporate companies may have but waiting 1 week to have a technician address an issue is absurd. I even went as far as offering to to pay a premium to have someone come in but that was also not an option.
I am now unable to work for the remainder of the week and overly frustrated with this provider.
I would NOT recommend this service and I hope someone will give me a call from Coextro to discuss in further details with an explanation.
Havent used the service yet. But the place has long wait times for device pick up and to get an installation appointment. Even calls to helpline are not answered promptly- cant leave a message for call back. Fingers crossed how their service is going to be!
I'm on their 300mps plan but switching to another ISP soon. I get regular spikes in latency that can last for a while. Among other things I'm sometimes unable to hold calls for work purposes because of this. Turns out there's a chip issue with the modem they sold me (Hitron CDA3-35). Search up puma 6 chip set to see which modems have it. When I raised the problem they just told me to talk to tech support. I tried doing that but it ended up just being a session of phone tag. The lower prices may seem good at first but it doesn't matter if the service is sub par. I'm switching to another provider that doesn't sell shoddy products and respects their customer's time.
Was looking for a wifi provider that would give high speed internet (I live pretty rural) tried other companies but no luck. When I reached out to this one they immediately said that they can service my location. I even looked up m it location on their website and it said available. I was waiting for package to arrive so they could install and got a call saying they cant service my location. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THEM
Internet packages are very well priced compared to the big Internet service providers. The speeds are generally good most of the time but like most ISP's you typically don't get the as advertised speeds. Customer service is prompt and friendly.
I have not had this service very long, only as of the 26th of Feb, but my modem was quick coming to me in the mail and setting up with a tech to come in was also very fast. So far service is great!!

That's the worst company I had to deal in my life. Don't get the internet from them. Rebooting the router every day and my speed is only 10 Mbps instead of 150 Mbps. If you want the headache please go with them
I have been with Coextro for just over a year, Until July 10 - 2020 my service was good - uninterrupted. There was a major thunder storm last Friday (10), where there was a strike which had catastrophic failures with the modem and the router. i had predetermined that was the case as I have been in IT for a very long time. I tried escalating to their after hours support for first 25+ hours - to no avail. I was contracted by on-call later on Sunday. They did not really help in that situation. By Monday I had replaced my modem and the router. I called them back to indicate that. For the next few days I failed to receive the type of help that was promised by Coextro. New modem was installed but i did not get a connection. i mentioned that there wasn't any default gateway address and they indicated that it was not required for the internet connection. SIX days later I was able to resolve the issue with Coextro as they were finally able to escalate through proper channels. For anyone reading this, do not believe their mission statement that their technical service is good or that they can resolve your problems quickly. COEXTRO simply cannot as their technical staff are mostly unqualified individuals.
I was surprised on how good Coextro is with their service. There are a lot of small ISP out there and not all of them are reliable, before Coextro, the ISP(Vm****) that i was with for 5 years are not reliable and had problems from day 1, at least they were consistent (consistently bad), i even got yelled by their Customer Service. So when i decided to switch ISP, i saw Coextro and tried them, i had my doubts at first, but i am with Coextro for almost 2 years and it's awesome! I never had to call for any issues, never had any service problems. Keep up the good work!
Signed up for the 150 Cable package and got the Skinny Basic TV. I use my Roku to watch TV and the quality is pretty good. No problems with internet either. Also very friendly people to deal with.
Great price for the great speed I am getting. The connection is SOLID and rarely if ever goes down! Also the 1 or 2 times I had to call support/ billing they were very helpful and nice!
Been with them for 4 months and nothing but disappointment.. I m paying $84 a month for 250Mbps I m Averaging only 22Mbps everytime I call them they are closed busy or rude over the phone.. I wouldn t recommend them at all take your money somewhere else
Professional company to deal with, had no issues with their internet connections, I have been using their service for the last 3 yearsI without a problem I already have families and friends who are using their internet service and all of them are happy customers, also their internet is a great value for what I am getting.
I was looking for a better ISP because my old provider was capping me to the ground after 5pm. Some friends on Reddit recommended Coextro and Techsavy. I did some comparisons and Coextro was more affordable. They sent me the modem within 2 days and called Rogers to come setup the line outside. Everything is running nicely and I am so happy to not have to sit through another spinning wheel of death.
Just a minor recommendation for Coextro because I know you read these reviews, which I greatly appreciate, invest a little into your website. That navigation bar is very buggy.
