I'm writing this review while keeping in mind that this is a 4-star hotel, and therefore no one should be expecting 5-star service. Husband and I stayed here during my 41st birthday weekend (and we were actually inspecting it as a possible venue for our renewal of vows). Facilities were adequate, and we quite enjoyed our stay. Loooove the chapel so much! We just probably hated the fact that there were plastic bottles floating on the lake when we had our morning walk before breakfast. I wrote a lengthier, in-depth review at my blog skysenshi(dot)com.
Has lost its charm. Not too well maintained and staff are rude. Restaurant staff can clearly see you call them but will choose to ignore you. I've been to this place a total of 4 times and it's been on a continous down hill spiral. Will not come back again... Though the view is still great like always.
I like the place and i enjoyed for my stay. Your staff Gio ang Liezel are very accommodating. Kudos to them.
One of the best places to unwind. The place has a very relaxing vibe. It can accommodate small families or group of friends or even a corporate event.
It has a very calm and peaceful view of beach. Yet, it needs be more modernized design, specially in training room/hall
Nice place for relaxation and vacation with family and friends. It's less than 2 hours drive (regular traffic) from Manila via Star Tollway. They offer lots of options for water activities in the famous Taal Lake. They also offer Taal Trekking for a group of six for only P2,750 for guests. They have big pools of you are just in for dip.
Actually now that I think about it, it was not good at first. They had a big group there that kind of took over and made it hard for us to hear one another. We had to shout. But otherwise it was fun. We did the inflatable course, swam in the pools, ate... Wish there would have been more trash cans though!
Excellent and welcoming, always treated with cordiality
In a nice spot .sorry the place has been hit by the volcano ..A big clean up ahead ..
nice place and swimpools.
you can catch your prince charming by swimming to one of their big pools; at night.
frogs galore! i mean toads.
I like this place a lot.. It's very cozy and the food was great.. It's a really good place to have a vacation or just to unwind..
Perfect location if you are looking for a peaceful get away. The room we had is good for 6 facing the lake it was amazing view we all agreed that was beyond the expectations better than the pictures online. The pool was huge. Lots of fruit tress were we enjoyed picking wild berries. At night the great scent coming from flowers . Also I advice to bring mosquito lotion as it is like a jungle expect mosquitoes and some insects. Also you cannot swim in the lake as it is full of weeds and moss at rainy season. Breakfast has a lot of bread and fruits. But the fried rice taste weird maybe they use left over rice. Dinner was okay not that special. Also we had ask them if we can have bucket of ice as we wanted to seat in the bench beside the lake as it is peaceful and romantic and no one was there as it is off season. The staff just No we cant do it. Even I said if they can allow us just charge us corkage fee. And Still No they charge 1,500 per couple just to seat in that bench to have a drink. I wish they are more considerate offering other option not just saying a big NO. Going there should be feeling more at home and experience a great hospitality as filipino always find ways to make their guest comfortable and Happy. Anyway this place is wonderful just need to improve on how they give service or being considerate especially it is off season( Well, maybe we will still consider going back here and expect a better experience next time.
The pool was wide and until 7feet deep. The place was nice though at the time of our visit there was a gathering of an NGO making it hard to find a parking area. So i think, the challenge was the parking arrangement, is not fully organized.
Stayed at Lake Forest "Cecilia" Mansion. Good for multi family & groups. 3 bedrooms downstairs and more ensuite rooms upstairs. With own private swimming pool!
Great place and food. Ok for a quick getaway and relaxation spot. Service and assistance is not that very accommodating though. But our overall experience was ok. There's no more spa service available. We were looking forward to this though. Contract ended as advised by the receptionist. They should update their website regarding this info.
Loved the place.....perfect for relaxation and family bonding
Villas are not well maintained, dark and have an unusual smell. Foods in menu normally not available. Pizza will not be available until 10am. Food servers not conscious about cleanliness in preparing foods.
Try their water activities to make your stay worthwhile
It was a beautiful place and the staff are very accommodating, you should try the inflatables there.
Fun fun fun.. Great place for family, friends and even company big event.
The inflatable island can be categorized as "extreme" water sports. Staying there for an hour is already enough.
There is a restaurant in Club Balai Isabel that serves vegetable omelet without rice for 330php. The serving is not reasonable, don't buy it.
The swimming pool inside is very, very wide. You'll spend most of the time in there.
Had my very first team building here with my Ideyalab x Halcyon family. The view was so breathtaking as its leveled with Taal. I've never seen taal that close and upfront unlike when I see it in aerial view. The place was clean and the staff where helpful and accommodating. The only downside was they had no signal inside the pavillion. Although its okay since it means you have to focus on making your peers instead of looking down at your phone. Overall, thumbs up!
Club Bali was beautiful place, got the aromatherapy massage done, deep tissue massage could ve been more rough but still loved it. Put me to sleep.
Place is lovely.
If you want a peaceful place, far from the city proper but still accessible, this place is for you.
Few minutes (about 15minutes) away from the Talisay exit (Star Tollway).
Peace and quiet. Love their residences. Food and clean areas
The staff were accommodating and ready to help whenever you need something. They also recommended other place within the area where you can use and activities that you can try. The view was spectacular.
The room was clean with complimentary water, toiletries and towel. The aircon already needed replacement since it can no longer cool our room. The provided towels were just 3 eventhough the room is for four.
The water in the lake was murky and was not really good for swimming.
But all in all, the place has a welcoming vibes. Ideal for families and group of friends looking to unwind and chill.
Conducive for a balance of nature and brain nurture
Their food has no variety. The keys are expensive when you lose it.
Well they have promos now.. It's nice though the villas are quite old.. But the air-conditioning is cold enough like a 3_4 star hotel.. Staffs were kind and accommodating.. The place is secure enough.. Kid friendly place...
Villa houses are OLD and need a massive face-lift. Room service (for extra towels or pillows) is non existent.
Ideal place to escape the city, lots of pool area, different activities to choose from, the suites needs improvement, bad service especially at the restaurant and the food is not that great
Relaxing & beautiful place! Good food, homey rooms, and nice staff.
Very nice place and good view. Great accomodation and mulitple activities to do.
I love the cozy ambiance of the place. Rooms are elegant. Medyo mahal nga lang pero it's worth your money
This is a great place to unwind. Our day started with early check-in. They were able to accommodate my family. This is my 2nd time in less than a year and I was never disappointed. My kids were happy at the kiddie pool.
Just checked out yesterday for a 3d2n stay, worst ever vacation so far, did not met our expectation. Price for the accommodation alone amounted to almost 20k plus Php but not worth the price. Room was infested with insects and cockroaches. Molds and mildews were present almost on all the room s wall baseboard. Presence of spider webs and dust under the bed which clearly suggests that the rooms were not properly cleaned and maintained.
Toilet has no proper ventilation and exhaust, untidy, lacked bathroom toiletries. Free wifi as advertised on their website was very poor and unreliable. There was no available connection during our entire stay.
Food was good but with limited choices.
We only came to realize during our stay that we share the same unpleasant experience with our friends who have had checked in before on this resort. We will not recommend this resort to our relatives and friends, definitely our FIRST AND LAST!
Simply Amazing Paradise in real life...I'd love to find property near here and a tennis court is all I need!
Room has musty smell and aircon not working well. Food is good enough. Employees are great.
Place is huge. Can held large number of people. Good food buffet.
The place and food are good. But the price is much higher to what its offer.
It has actually a very advantageous location. But it was too costly. Villas cost for about 30k+ per day that accommodates 18 persons each. However, if you will look at the beds provided, its so small.
Some of the staff are okay but some are not. We requested to make-up a room because one of our participants will arrive and one will leave. The new participant will use the same room. However, they refused to make-up the room because we were not yet in our 2nd day. Of course, I argued that if is for the courtesy of the new participant as well as the hygiene. They eventually changed the linens, etc.
Nice resort very clean good accommodation and relaxing
Central place to take advantage of the places of the historic center.
To expensive. you could find a better deal with the same price. Service is terrible
Room is clean. Air conditioning is also ok.
They just don't have plastic bags for the trash and toothbrush.
we went to club balai isabel for 2 days stay. Our reservation was done thru Agoda . The amenities are okay..all the the staff are very friendly and courteous. Thumbs up for them. But during the check out...i was surprised that i needed to pay extra P7000+ because they told me that Agoda is just a third party and they are paying that percentage to Agoda . And i needed to shoulder that. I reasoned that it was never stated in Agoda site nor in the confirmation message. And they didnt even inform me that set up only when we were about to leave. Am i misinformed? Kindly, explain it to me.
Quite a nice ambiance, although I was not able to roam the resort freely cause I am under quarantine, I feel that it is a place worth revisiting with my family
Ask lang po kung magkano po entrance kapag 5 lang na tao then maybe 8am to 5pm? Tyaka is there a swim in the pool and beach?
Good amenities perfect for families. The staff was very helpful. Relaxing.
Accommodation is good. But buffet breakfast is not consistent. Not worthy of your Php 380. If in case you want to consider the place for functions, I would recommend it in terms of facilities but banquet services is so poor. For a company that has 24 participants, only 1 staff is assigned to look after the needs of the group and to serve the food in the function room.
Great getaway for the whole family! The new aqua park offers lots of fun too!
The inflatable water park was awesome! Well worth the 400+ pesos entrance fee.
