Camaro problem with cooling fan staying on long after car is turned off.
Called Saturday 7nov, at 1 pm. Car was taken in at 1:30 pm, and ready an hour later.

Wow, is all I can say. I had the best experience ever buying a car at RH City Chevrolet. My salesman Garret was so helpful, we communicated online and discussed options and what I wanted in my next car. I found that there were several cars that I liked. We set an appointment up and he had the car ready for me before I arrived. I took it on a test drive and new as soon as 3rd gear I was taking that car home. Between him and Travis the finance manager I worked with I have a brand new 2018 Camaro! I just brought the car in for Service for the break in oil change. I forgot to make an appointment because of the snow the week before. The Service Team was able to squeeze me in with no major issues or delays! Fantastic service from sales to Service! Awful with communication. I have a tight schedule and a tight budgetting system. My advisor wasn't professional in this part. It shouldn't take 2 weeks for a set price on my vehicle. Plus when I would call to figure out everything so I could have an idea on budgetting, I never got a returned call or anything. Everytime I was transferred he never answered nor responded to his voicemails.

Bad customer service. Sales staff lie, wait times are ridiculous

This post Is Long OverDue

Back In September 2017, I was in the market for a used 2017 2SS Camaro. During my google research, I found a 1SS Camaro being advertised with this dealership. I called and spoke to a salesman who confirm that this used car was still available in their lot / inventory. I explained to the Sales representative that I had a 2008 Ford Mustang GT that I wanted to utilize as my trade-in. I also made an appointment with him for the next day at 4pm to test drive the 1SS and to get an appraisal on my Mustang.

The next day, I arrived at this dealership around 4pm and test drove the 1SS. I really liked the car. I got an appraisal for my 2008 Ford Mustang GT.

I asked the salesman what were my next steps and he was very ambiguous and basically told me that I would be waiting on my appraisal results. I received an offer of appraisal for 1,000.00 more than fair market value for my car. The current fair market rate for my car at that time was around $5,000.00. They gave me $6,000.00. I agreed to this appraisal. THIS OFFER IS THE ONLY REASON WHY I GAVE THIS Dealership A 2- Star Rating.

I sat around this dealership for the next 5 hours not knowing WHAT was going on. I was told by my salesman that: I will be driving away soon in my 1SS car but that wasn t the reality. In reality they were Shopping Around my loan.

Around 9pm, he advised me that I needed additional bank statements to confirm my income. The next day, I faxed over my bank statements and called to confirm that my salesman received the fax. At this point, during my call, my salesman advised me that the fax was received but that the 1SS was transferred / sold to another dealership. The salesman also explained that the car was never available from the very beginning and that the Inventory Manager made a mistake and did not update their website to remove the 1SS from their inventory.

I explained to the salesman that this was a waste of time and that I was very disappointed in this overall process. He immediately apologized to me and told me that he would forward my overall experience to his Sales Manager. The Sales Manager called me within 3 hours of that same day, apologized and offer to sell me a new 2SS Camaro with the deductions of the dealer discounts along with my trade-in. I DECLINED his offer because I was not looking for a new car from the very beginning and I made this point very clear from the very beginning.

I am glad I moved forward because I found my used 2SS Camaro at another dealership with a reasonable price tag. Sometimes you have to think outside of the box of your local city/ state.

In conclusion: this dealership and the overall experience here at Rick Hendricks City Chevrolet, was not a great experience at all but overall it taught me three valuable lessons: 1. NEVER GO TO Any Dealerships Without Having A pre-approval / approved car loan from a bank 2. Always request to speak to the Sales Director and Inventory Director in regards to receiving confirmation on what cars are really available on their lot. 3. Communication, organization and teamwork goes hand In hand and if you go to a dealership or anywhere else in life and those components are lacking, than it will impact you in a negative aspect regarding your overall objective as a consumer and your overall mission and the customer service you provide to consumers as a team or business / organization.

I will never buy a car from this dealership again!! After I agreed to buy the cat they brought it to be delivered with the paperwork totally wrong!! I ended up having to sign 4 separate trade packs because their dealership couldn't manage to type a name and vin number correctly. In the 20 days this process took my bank drafted payment for my car that I didn't even own anymore because the dealership hadn't paid it off!! I called them and Ryan assured me he would overnight me a check for the 630. Well guess what that was a lie!!! Here we are over 30 days out they still haven't paid off my car they say they are overnighting the check to the bank and will provide me with a tracking number (I still haven't received it) and that they never even mailed me the check that the bank can pay me back!! This company is an absolute joke! Nothing but a run around this entire time with them. If you want to buy a car I do not suggest you do it from here!!!

So me and my wife are in the market to find a new vehicle she finds nice and cozy but still safe. We haven t found the one yet but we have been working with Michael Moyer for a couple months. This man not only knows his stuff but is the star salesmen. He s not that pushy high pressure sales guy. He has been the only sales guy I ve ever had that agreed we should wait tell we find something perfect instead of forcing a sale I m not happy with. I will continue to work with Michael to make sure it s worth it in the end, because so far I haven t been disappointed!

After shopping another Chevrolet dealer I had given up on purchasing the Colorado ZR2 that I liked so much. I couldn't get a deal done that made me happy financially. I never leave reviews on anything- but I Have been to multiple car dealerships over the past few weeks and the service here was by far the worst. Internet price isn t the real price- it only is if you are a veteran, a farmer, business owner, etc. very deceiving. We got there and they wanted 5,000 over what they were asking on the internet. Also left us sitting alone for 45 minutes doing I don t know what, just to come back and give us a jacked up price (and the worst one we ve received) go somewhere else.

The customer service is great until they say im going to put you in this car to help your credit (per ex financial manager Eric) then in 6 months we'll get you into what you want. I never went on lot to look, my stay was always 5 hours, they lowered my credit from a 549 to a 479 in 3 days of being pulled in Savannah to say this all we can do. Go back 8 months after purchase we cant help you. Persuaded me to buy warranty $100+ added to payment its been a year an a half. And they still claim to not be able to help me wont even return phone call.

I came for, what I would imagine to be, one of the simplest possible services that could be provided from a dealership: front license plate installation. I came because I wanted a professional to do it instead of myself messing it up. I also believe I was missing a certain tool.
While I was helped pretty quickly in the beginning, I wasn't initially told the price of this service. I had to ask as I was being quickly shooed off.

But the worst part was waiting for an HOUR AND FIFTEEN MINUTES, being forgotten, having to go FIND MY CAR IN THE PARKING LOT, and seeing the expression on the service rep's face as she scrambles to find my keys and pretend like she was just about to come get me.
I understand the world doesn't revolve around me. But I would've imagined a front license plate install to take 5-15 minutes, TOPS by a professional.

I'm extremely disappointed and don't intend on visiting again.

Avoid City Chevrolet in Charlotte when getting anything done. TAKE YOUR Corvette elsewhere. I Took my 2004 Corvette Z06 in today because my steering was off center. They said they performed an alignment but when I drove away I still noticed my steering was still off. (Which is why I took it there)When I returned it the guy that performed it was rude and said that the alignment is dead center and to get in the car and show him where I want the wheel. I obviously put the wheel straight and he said that is crooked !!!!! So he said I ll set it just like that being extremely rude and speaking with attitude. I waited another 30 mins of course -mins you I dropped car off at 9am and it is now almost 4pm- and on the way home the wheel is still slightly left when going straight just like when I took it there. 120 for an alignment with my wheel still off. Pissed but going back there will obviously not accomplish anything because they obviously can t do anything wrong. So back to square one looking for a reputable shop that is worth a damn in the Charlotte concord area. Any suggestions?

Our experience at rick hendrick city chevy has been great. I came in looking for a used truck and had been looking for quite some time and they had very competitively priced vehicles I met with Lukas and Scott and they both were a pleasure to work with. Lukas was very nice and not pushy at all he could tell I wanted a truck and was not trying to upsell me anything which I really appreciate. There were a few cosmetic things that needed to be fixed on the truck and Lukas has helped me get these issues fixed. He always anwsers my calls and offers great customer service. I would recommend.

Got a really deal here. Tim Dobbins was my sales rep and he was awesome and very accommodating. Initially, I went to Rick Hendrick in Apex..BIG MISTAKE !..I saw the vehicle I was interested in on the website. I spoke with Amber from RH in Apex who gave me a song and dance about "other" cars I should be interested in. I made it clear that I wanted a "specific car", the car I inquired about. I made an appointment and when I got there Amber goes into "salesman" mode,still trying to get me to look at other vehicles on the lot. It was not until I became adamant did she disclose that the vehicle was NOT at the Apex dealership, but was at City Chevrolet in Charlotte. When I asked about transferring it, I was told by a sales associate that I must pay a non-refundable $500 deposit AND sign a promise to purchase the vehicle..Really?? that's insane.Who does that? Who buys a CAR site unseen. Anyway, my review of RH in Apex can be read on Google by selecting their location. I really would like to thank Tim Dobbins again for his professionalism. He stayed in contact with me before, during, and after the sale. I highly recommend this dealership and Tim..

I use Rick Hendrick's City Chevrolet for all of my family's vehicle needs, sales and service. Tripp Wilson always does a great job scheduling my service, keeping me informed on the progress, and keeping me on my budget.

Interesting location.

Dealership is right on Independence. (If you aren't familiar with Independence, it is a highway.) The entrance is literally on the highway. Slow down and turn in. I thought that was interesting.

I met with Gene and Ian in used cars. The used car showroom feels uncomfortable to me. Everything is locked down or behind secured doors. The sales manager (Gene) and some other staff are inside a secured glass enclosure. Again, I am sure this is "Chevrolet approved". It just is off putting as a customer. It made me wonder am I in an unsafe area? Or why all the "level 9" security??

Ian treated me professionally and courteously. The three stars were totally earned by him.

Anyway, as far as deal making we ended up thousands of dollars apart. So I went to another dealer to put a deal together.

My wife and I were interested in a Corvette - as a shared experience and fun. It was a battle to be allowed to take a Corvette out with just the two of us and this almost caused us to walk away and find another dealer. In the end they did let us and we ended up getting a car from the dealer. The only reason we didn't go somewhere else is because in talking with other dealers we were made promises that did not come through. Perhaps this is typical for a Chevy (non-luxury) dealer. Our experience at Cadillac was fantastic- if only they sold Corvettes. I would think that it wouldn't need to be a "Cadillac" to get "Cadillac" service - if you are spending 70k + on a car I would expect "Cadillac" service no matter where I went. This was not the case at Rick Hendrick City Chevrolet. I'm still hopeful the after sale is decent. Again nothing bad to say but nothing great to say either. They did work with us on price and our sales person was friendly and did try hard.

Too bad you can't leave less than one star.

Purchased a new 2016 Corvette there. Worst purchase and service experiences ever. After first oil change (which was a fiasco in itself) I had a terrible oil burning smell that was so bad people at work were asking me what was wrong with my new car. I wound up having to clean oil overspill, tighten the filter - oh and it was overfilled. In addition i had to clean differential fluid they spilled all inside the rear subframe. Icing on the cake was they didn't even reset the reminder.

Numerous problems later culminating with the entire car being scratched by them after verbally requesting to service manager and leaving a huge note in the car not to wash it - they did and the entire car was swirled. The day I turned it in for lemon law (that's another story) I watched their car was process in their lot. One guy hosed down the cars and another started on the wheels with a rag and worked his way to the paint - way to go there guys!

Through it all, there was no genuine taking responsibility for any of their errors. I would just recommend you go somewhere else.

Disregard their replies to these reviews - all I ever got was lip service and empty promises. The combination of a defective Chevrolet product and the experience at this dealership has this lifelong Chevrolet owner looking at different brands.

In a hilarious twist, they are still calling me trying to sell me a car. Unbelievable.

They gave my Pontiac an excellent alignment ... {There is one thing I didn't get done, because it's something more complex - A problem caused by the place in Concord that had my car for struts, two weeks ago (Not Brother Auto - they FIXED 1/2 of it) I may bring it back, here, at a later date} ... They were all very nice.
Want to mention Brandi (sp?) - the girl who moves your car up. She was unusually helpful, and attentive. I actually wasn't used to it
Anyway fair price, and great work.

Orlando Hall is the best salesman i have ever worked with !!!.Him and the managers absolutely go out of there way to help you !!..This is my second purchase with them for unseen circumstances and couldnt be more pleased with a car buying experience . Also a Huge shoutout to Ayala.Although it is about a 45 min drive for me i will gladly travel for the treatment of the staff.Only down fall is be prepared to wait !!..

I don't normally write reviews, but Tim Dobbins deserves recognition for his outstanding service. Throughout the entire buying experience Tim was courteous and straightforward. Tim gave me a fair offer right from the start and actually provided transparent numbers. The best compliment that I can pay to Tim is that if I need another car in the future, I'll be going back to Tim Dobbins and Rick Hendrick City Chevrolet. Thank you Tim!
