I am regret say that for some reason food was terrible for lunch, dinner and food sucks for two days I stayed. I would recommend you to go there for the room and bathroom was well spacious and beautiful but not for food. Nice awesome sea view garden. Friendly and professional staff. The beach is clean and well maintained, the rooms, lounges, hallways and other places are beautiful and eye pleasing.
It is good hotel with lot of local promotions during off season months. Good for wedding with large number of guest because the wedding reception halls are very large. Good seasonal sea food options and 2 swimming pools. but they close down one pool if they have less guest during off peak time. Love the view and it is safe location for kids but sea could be rough during Warakan time so don't swim.
Nice hotel, lovely staff, varied and good buffets, well wooded park, good pool service, attention no water entertainment proposed by the hotel or by locals, apart from the sea view the hotel could be inland . We suffered a big storm, the corridors were flooded as well as the room, known problem and apparently not solved for a 5 *? bad check-out experience at 4am with 40mn late departure from the bus to Colombo airport, suspicion towards several guests, flights in the mini bar, phone calls? While the mini bars were open on arrival and without any contradictory inventory done with the customer, this is the BA BA
It's quit beautiful but the surrounding house on the way there looks not welcoming. Not super professional staff English is lacking example saying "how many persons" in instead of just "how many people" and more. Bad internet ,bad direction like my room was 156 and it doesn't say that anywhere

Went to the wedding function. Reception hall is good. But foods are not good. View is good.
Poor management. Staff is not friendly at all. Not listening to customer's request. Not attended for any of my requests. Simply respond with they can't help. TV channels are not clear. Most are Indian channels. Not recommended for locals specially who wants to stay calm. Front desk totally useless. Manager didn't reply to concerns. Cockroaches are there in the bathroom. 4 flies were there in the room when I first entered to it. I stayed 1-3rd November 2019.
I've booked this hotel for my wedding a year ago. but prior to one month they said we cant sure to arrange your function with this corona pandemic and there having it as a quarantine center.we also paid advance a year ago.so never book this place for wedding functions,we can"t trust there promises.i've faced many problems due to this short time noticed.never recomment this place.

The hotel looks amazing. The staff is very friendly. Could see the cleaning staff doing a great job trying to keep the place clean. The buffet had a good spread and the food was in good quality. They do have some indoor games and activities. We had a good time here and can recommend this place to anyone with no worries.

The place is facing the western coast of Sri Lanka from Waskaduwa which is nearby famous Kalutara town. Hotel is a star class one with kind and helpful staff and tasty food to serve your tastebuds. It is also a popular tourist destination of the travelers who visit Sri Lanka. A must go hotel in Waskaduwa and I highly recommend the place.

SO FAR THE WORST HOTEL STAY!!! Good location.nice surroundings.BUT rooms not cleaned properly.Room floor sticky with a mold smell inside.AC filter full of dust that can be seen from outside.Bathroom great design but cleanliness very poor.Mold inside the bathroom as well.Mirror and other glasses has soap patches not cleaned at all .White tiles on the wall are partly black with dirt.
Worst buffet no variety at all.We took fullboard all three meals almost the same.
There is pure discrimination for minor ethnicities.
When there were obviously empty upstair rooms available they insisted us on giving a ground floor room.

Very basic rooms. You cannot expect 5 star standard from this hotel. Food was okay. Staff is friendly. Had my lunch with family and a waiter offered me the bill before I finish the lunch. Room doesn't have special amenities. The sofa bed was very dirty as someone had an orgasm on that. Expected more.
There are some serious concerns about their service. When you want your function to be hosted there, please note they close the buffet without prior notice. Air conditioning will start when the function starts. Not before 30 or 15 minutes.

I lived in a suite overlooking the ocean covering an area of 130 meters, is spacious and comfortable, the service is excellent, and the breakfast is varied.
Went for a day out function of a proffessional collage. Facilities were ok. Unlike other hotels they had a separate buffet with less number of items for who came for dayouts (had a separate buffet for those who are staying). Tables were not arranged for the buffet and had to carry the cutlaries. That day was a rainy day and no place to stay as all the lobbies are watering. Terrible place for day outs.

Excellent hotel. In some places repair is time to update, but in general everything is ok. If you like spicy food at least a little - you will be pleasantly surprised by a large selection of meals at breakfasts and dinners. But I advise you to order seafood from the local, you will save a lot

Let me justify.
There are only two water bottles in the room if you ask an extra they charge you,come on are we living in a dessert?
If you go as group you will be only allowed to sit in the location they order you if you ask another place you are replied rudely.
Specially the fat woman staff in the buffet section with a light green uniform is not at all suitable for hospitality business.
At the reception you have to go behind the staff to seek your room key,and specially i was with children nobody comes forward to help me with the luggages to the room.
The staff seems to come from local area and are not at all trained for hospitality business and not professional.
The room air conditioner cannot be adjusted.
The food is not at all value for money.
Being a person who is very cautious about value for money will never recommend this hotel to any friend.
It's average. The good: Food was alright. Nice pool and garden area. Nice bar area. The bad: There were ants in our bed. The kind that bites. The guy at the reception lied to us about a discount we were entitled to for our credit card saying the discount was already included when it wasn't.

A huge property in Waskaduwa, between Bentota and Colombo. It has direct access to a very clean beach with very few people visiting the beach. The hotel advertises itself as a 5 star property but compared to other 5 star properties across the world, it needs to work on quite a few aspects. I would personally rate the location as 5 star but the hotel overall would be 4 star.
The dinner buffet option is great since there aren't a lot of options around to eat and the food is also pretty tasty so it's worth the price to take a half board option.
The room is very comfy although their double bed is actually two single beds joined together. Rooms are clean. All their rooms are sea facing which is a plus!
The staff is extremely courteous and helpful.
Overall, this is a good layover to rest if you are driving from Colombo to Bentota.
