High prices, tell that only few rooms are free, but free is 50% (or more) hotel
Of course they said that are free president room

I've been here three times in the past couple of years. Each time, I've been very dissatisfied with their vegetarian food options. An international buffet? Yea right! The veg food options are really limited and don't go together. You'll usually have to settle for boiled carrot, beans and potatoes, and dhal. That's about it. Very bland with no spice. Very disappointed each time. Rooms are alright but it has gone down with time. Pool is okay. They have a large area to play cricket, which is nice. They've removed the hammock that used to be there. I wouldn't go again if I can help it.

I was staying for 14 nights staff are so friendly and helpful keep the great service I will recommend to my friends also

I would like to Thank, Nishan and Vijatha who have handled my every complex diet need to the highest standard, and have been able to help me at every moment of hunger, with a positive attitude no matter how late I called, and their continuous friendliness. I would like to thank Eranga and Abirami who have been nothing but sweet and accommodating during my stay. For checking up on my sanity and ensuring that all my needs have been met. And of course Heshan at housekeeping for always giving me excessive coffee and sugar refills. Thank You, citrus for a wonderful, calming and humane experience.

Excellent food. A very wide range of items. Friendly sevice and staff. Good place and environment.

Disgusting hotel. Write about it a lot, but I will say the most important thing, do not drink the water that you pour in the dining room. Not finished water is poured back into the jug and poured to guests again.

We were on weekend FB basis and food was great, rooms are clean. Pool area is quite busy due to weekend we had four meals for FB basis that is quite good actually. I like the environment and the beach. We can t sea bath in that area due to heavy sea waves. Hope to go again when FB offer was there.

Booked for 1 night on FB basis to feast on the food and sleep, that was my only holiday for entire April so it was little treat for myself. Cannot practice any self loving in this uncharacteristic hotel, something was missing in it "the soul". welcome was fine , the room is just meh.. I slept well as planned, good hot water shower, but the balcony door was from hell, it didn't give me an opportunity to enjoy the breeze since it wanted to keep me locked in. Managed to open it and smelled the ocean breeze and it was a sense of accomplishment until some mosquitos started feast on me, tried to get it room and the hell door had other plans. After struggling to get in the whole door comes off! Argh. Somehow managed to get it in place but it was a 'no go zone' as it was a battle to open and close and the whole door comes off the frame, no way in hell I'm paying for something already broken.! Food wise it's an average spread and cannot compare to a buffet in Colombo hotel. They had battered seafood, chicken noodles out of the wok but it wasn't tasty. Lunch and dinner would be 2.6 stars out of 5 and breakfast would be 3.2 out of 5. Desserts were fine with lots of sweet options. I didn't like the pool attendant with the blue shirt with his tacky attitude,! That made a stain in my experience. The hotel needs a little greenery, boxed shape white building and all the corridors looks exact the same, bright orange for the theme of citrus is a discomfort for the eye. Overall it was ok, just ok! Nothing too good or nothing too bad. It's like "been there, done that" kind of feeling that I wouldn't go back to the same hotel again. Interestingly I would go back to "the palms" hotel as a repeating experience since it had a soul to the hotel.

This hotel is very homely. With the beach in front it is very cool with wind blowing so nicely. Love the place. Anyone if you wish to be there I recommend it to you.

Big property with a lots of food options and live music

We are here from morning today with 28 business friends. The food was already told to be customised for 10 vegetarians including some dal and gravy of indian style and also good roti to which the chef had assured full attention. We are shocked to see that no instructions has been kept and the veg food is very bad ( as needed by us ). We are just struggling from morning by keeping alive on raw cabbage and steamed carrot and some basic fruits like papaya and pineapple.

Great experience.. however the day we visited the hotel was fully booked and we witnessed a dip in customer service..

Had a great experience. Staff was really friendly. They arranged a surprise for my Father s birthday as well.. Though the hotel was crowded, the dining experience was great thanks to the friendly hostess at the lemon sun restaurant..

Great getaway location as long as you take precautions against the sea.

went for a spend the day on the Christmas day last year. Food was quite good with a decent amount of variety. The hotel is good too. well maintained. location is also superb. There were few issues that were there as well. Our reservation was not placed correctly and also we had to go behind the staff and ask for our welcome drink and the evening tea and cofee

We went there 19th of May,2019 with my family & there is very poor management & they take more than 3 hours to check in process. They provide double room instead of triple room even we order & not enough water, tea bags, coffee bags for 3 people. They only provided three (3) water bottles (500 ml) for 24 hours (one day) & they are charged for extra water bottles too. They think, 500 ml water per person enough for 1 day. Never recommended to go there even they provide rooms Free Of charge

Very picturesque, eye catching and comfortable star hotel which is situated in Waskaduwa. According to my knowledge, this hotel is the longest hotel in Sri Lanka in 2019.

Extremely pleasant and well designed resort hotel in Waduwa. The interior design and modern decor are really well done and the pool area is quite enjoyable. The staff were pleasant and check in was quick. The washroom and room were both large and comfortable. The best feature of the hotel is the two hammocks near the beach which were the highlight of our stay.

This is a one of the best wonderful hotels in Sri Lanka. Friendly cheerful staff and clean rooms. Also the beach is amazingly beautiful. Must visit place for all the tourists

Even though the food was good, the service was terrible. Went with a few friends on a day out package and we were simply disappointed with their appalling service. They did not offer the welcome drink until we asked them for it after about 30 minutes. In addition to that we had to wait for another 15 minutes for them to bring us the welcome drink. They also asked for a refundable deposit of 1000 Rs. for the pool towels which I believe is absurd given the fact that so many other hotels like cinnamon which we usually go to never ask for a refundable deposit to use their pool towels. Will never recommend the Citrus to chain nor will I ever step into one of their hotels again.

It says five stars though works as three stars.Sadly most of the services are downgrade including meals.Good swimming pool and nice environment and ambience but need lot of improvements to rate as a five stars.

Its a wonderful place. Nice dinner. But it's a 4 star hotel. Lace of 5 star facilities. Rooms are nice but up-to the mark of 5 star. Washroom very small. Tripping of electricity. Etc

Nice hotel to spend your free time or to have a out bound training session for your colleagues. some weekends are crowded , but nevertheless it's a good place.

Nice Hotel in a great location right on the beach but There are red flags out all down this part of the coast.
Foods were not as 5 star quality.Bathroom could have been cleaner.showers weren't work properly. There can be better maintenance of rooms ,specially bathrooms those are look very old.
I wouldn't recommend it.

Had a Nice vacation at there. relaxing environment with friendly staff specially thanks to 'Ms Piyumi', she was adorable character at reception. Nice food too.

A few weeks ago, our family celebrated my mother's 80th birthday weekend at Citrus Waskaduwa. A special "Thank You" to Mr. Niran Ratwatte and his amazing team for making my mother and all of us feel so special, and for being so gracious and hospitable. We thoroughly enjoyed all the services provided by Citrus as well - wonderful food, spacious rooms, gorgeous pool, etc. What a memorable weekend! Thank you very, very much from the Soza and de Mel families.

The hotel room was super clean and pretty! The hotel manager and the staff was great and very friendly! They made our stay very special! We had a great time in Citrus!

Was on a office trip, check-in time is 2.00 PM, but our room was't ready until 8.00 PM. Room isn't clean. Room service is one of the warst. Had to call several times. Food is average, not much variation.
