Standard holiday in Egypt with children, expected more
We rested during the quarantine period from August 9 to 23. two families with children 5 and 6 years old. The price has been reduced, and with it the quality. We are in Egypt for the 5th time, moderately fastidious, but also ordinary people.
Arrived at 22.00, so we settled immediately and next to friends, as requested. but the rooms did not suit us. Changed only the next day, and then barely, since most of the rooms are with twin beds, and we needed two rooms with one large bed and on the first floor, as small children, and the balconies have low railings on the second floors. In addition, all the furniture is stone, cabinets, beds - nothing moves. As a result, building 3, with access to the bass and at an equal distance from restaurants and the beach, was normal. The rooms are huge, tired, almost everyone has a sea view, everything worked, cleaning every day as usual, replenishing water and cola.
Wi-Fi throughout the territory, but barely pulls and crashes when moving, I regretted not having bought a local sim.
The distance is huge, the steps, ascents, descents - just like in a small town. I was not comfortable walking in the heat. In order to explore the entire territory to understand much better which beach or which bass - a week would not be enough for us for sure. The shuttle about which they write goes only to the buildings and to the reception. Neither the food court nor the sea can be reached on it. Yes, the views are gorgeous at every turn.
The beach line is huge, but for ordinary tourists and with children, you can swim in two places - the royal lagoon (far and small) and artificial lagoons in the marina - where sun loungers are always occupied, since there are very few of them there. Coral are needed everywhere. There are fish.
What I liked was the feeling of cleanliness and novelty in the toilets everywhere - I was really impressed - like in good ideal 5 *, also a good general feeling in the marina like in Malta) after dinner there is always a shadow, so it was pleasant to sit. Huge beautiful clean reception and lobby bar with better quality drinks.
I didn't like it: the quality of food is generally the same as everywhere in Egypt, if not lower, and all the time the same thing, in two weeks there were no shrimps, a couple of times there was little edible tuna and squid for 3 *, there were no watermelons, no dates once, in general, all the time there was something - then there weren't even cucumbers for two days, then the drinks end by the end of lunch - only cola.) there is no food on the beach - standard burgers / pizzas, food for lunch at a food court in a restaurant, where you need to dress and go on purpose. Ice cream is far away and only two hours from 15 to 17 (then they began to give from 13 when we left) and put it in mini thimbles of 19 grams. Bars often have small plastic cups, there was no tonic for drinks for a week, bartenders in 2 out of 3 cases pour with an undisguised favor, and, as usual, not full glasses (only we had a good bartender on the bass). Air conditioners barely worked everywhere in public places, unpleasant.
Animation in the evenings - there are standard dances in the amphitheater, there was a fire show in the marina twice - it was super, and we didn't go to any other dances. Also in the marina elsewhere on the street - disco almost every evening.
We went to Senzo mall on Uber ($ 2 one way), at the reception there is a taxi there - $ 20 there and back - naive Arabs)
I was poisoned with a temperature of 38, I went to the insurance company. Phones in the hotel did not work, I had to call from a Ukrainian mobile. They took, brought, gave pills, it took 1 day.
Sanitizers are hanging, warning signs are hanging - it's about the crown, I saw two sunbeds splashing twice) and that's it, but these things did not bother me.
