Citadel Azur Resort Review

Since the hotel has new owners, it has been a catastrophic situation here. Room shabby. Food very manageable. Service is ok. Everywhere construction sites very loud. It has little to do with vacation.

Very good, clean, comfortable, very relaxing, the restaurant is free.

The place is more than wonderful and distinguished by the buildings built in the form of a pharaonic

We have never been to a nice hotel like this. It was extremely clean, best food, incredibly beautiful rooms and the view was sensational. The staff is very, very friendly and helpful ... From the cleaning staff to the manager. Although the weather was not so good, we spent our most beautiful vacation here ... and definitely again soon!

Luxury Hotel! Everything is simply unmatched! The only downside is there is no private beach.

The hotel is actually really nice, also the service during our stay. Unfortunately we were disappointed after we forgot something very precious to us. First, the hotel reacted quickly and found the forgotten thing and offered to ship it. But suddenly the hotel did not respond anymore. Even after many reminders had been sent, we did not receive any answer.

Super hotel. High-level service. Sleepers. Special greetings for Mohamed Omarfife pools, reefs by the shore, the sea makes a great impression. Overall, the whole hotel is for a large 5+.

We stayed here for 12 days and it was great. The rooms totally clean, the food was delicious and very varied. The staff was very friendly, not pushy. We would definitely come back here ...

Rested at the end of September 2019. The hotel's architecture is chic. Everything is clean, very nice lounge. All the rooms have sea views. There are many Germans in the hotel, so there is an opportunity to study Deutsch))), all others - Poles, French, Ukrainians and Belarusians.
I put 4 points for the fact that for such a hotel the food should be much better at such a price. Not enough European cook. Breakfast is good, but lunch and dinner are not good. For dinner, there was a lot of fried, deep-fried and grilled, and who had stomach problems - it was hard to find anything normal. A small selection of fruits (from the exotic were guava, several times dates and figs), and I can eat apples, pears, plums and bananas at home)))). Seafood is virtually absent. But the sweet table really pleased, there was a great variety. But the ice cream was only in one place (from 10.00 to 17.00) and far from the beach, although it could be distributed on the beach bars. It would also be nice if you could get fruit at these bars, as they do at other cheap hotels. It was gratifying that the bars still had delicious juices and cocktails. The quality of the internet needs to be improved, as it has often been failing. The sea is great, the beach is big, the coastline is long, there are convenient places for swimming, 3 lagoons, but it is advisable to have corals on your feet. The pools are good, but for some reason they only work until 5pm. This is a big disadvantage, because I would like to swim at least until 18 hours, because it was not so hot.

A fantastic hotel with fantastic staff. One can only love the facility. This is my dream place in Egypt.

Was a nice holiday in December only the food was not so good and the rooms still had to be renovated.

Very nice hotel, very spacious. Wonderful marina, nice service. However NOT barrier-free, who is not good on foot, it should better leave. Feels like this object consists only of stairs. Even the elevator is only about 1-2 steps to reach, ramps are not available. For this you do not take in this holiday guaranteed not to :)

Chic hotel. Not many hotels want to return again. In this - definitely yes.

You can enjoy a coffee or a mixed drink on the terrace with a beautiful sea view. You can relax in the swimming pool, where you also have sea views. The food is very good. Each room has a sea view. Rooms have a large terrace and are built with corals. The staff is helpful, kind. Just think that it is not suitable for families with children.

Very nice place, the kitchen is tasty, the staff is friendly. Purely in the territory, the water is warm and clean. I seem to have plunged into the pharaohs, the architecture is just great

A fantastically beautiful "fairytale castle". We enjoy a vacation for body, mind and soul and are lovingly cared for.

Great view from everywhere , huge Rock castle design , near by airport, not far from downtown , stuff are very friendly and cooperative , ultra all-inclusive , big rooms with a big terrace

Great staff, cleanliness at a high level! Nice, tasty, hospitable in every sense of the word! We rested in a big company from 16.09. We recommend a VIP boat trip from the hotel . The rest was a success

So far, of the 4 hotels visited in Hurghada, the best. Rooms, quality of service, views, all worthy of the highest rating

Rested in Albatros Citadel in January 2019. The hotel is excellent, I advise everyone.

We had very nice night at disco and I think it's really good place very big and need car I think from room to mine door it's very long way if you have car will be bitter so enjoy your time and be happy you are in vacation

Incredibly beautiful hotel complex made entirely of natural stone.

It was a couple's vacation to Hurghada. In contrast to the other hotels there, this one is located directly on the sea AND away from the road, which leads to a nice seclusion. It's not a plastic temple with lots of pools, but you have an incredibly beautiful and spacious stretch of beach and you can snorkel very well.

The loungers are very comfortable, far apart and there are enough.

I can particularly recommend the quad tour through the desert (for two for 3 hours around 80 with saad, there are also great pictures afterwards)

Contrary to the reviews, the food was not necessarily the standard one is used to. Huge selection, nicely presented etc. but the taste is not really good. There were fewer local dishes.

However, you can eat very well in Hurghada.

The all inclusive program in the hotel was also perfect, employees and cold drinks everywhere :)

All in all a very nice holiday, we would go back to the Red Sea, then there.

I'm very satisfied. The ambience with everything is supi.

Rocky beach..lots of food but tasteless only the moroccon restaurant was the best..our rooms need to be renovated

It was very good stay at el batros citadel every thing was so clean rooms an meals and the stuff was so friendly specially Mr Ahmed el Ghonemy and Mr Mostafa Elrefaey and Mr Mohamed Karwya

No wifi in the room and unstable connection in the lobby. Continuous harassment of seller of any tour or massage while you are on the beach. Mediocre food mostly grilled chicken.

A unique hotel for me, built with natural stone in the rocks. Even in the rooms you can find the construction with natural stone. The hotel is right on the beach. It has its own marina and bathing bays. Excursion boats and other watercraft come in and out here. The food is served in several restaurants. There is a great large lobby next to the reception. Around the marina there are great terraces that invite you to linger.

Amazing and very unique all inclusive resort. Nice beach good f ok r snorkeling, great variety of foods on the buffet every day and above all polite and receive staff. Will go there again.

Very nice facility with really very, very nice and hard-working staff. Food was super delicious with a lot of variety and varied .. unfortunately I was only there for a week, but I'll be back. The last two photos were taken at about 11 pm when I arrived. And the first two photos after getting up, what a sight to enjoy such a view in the morning

Hotel very architecturally interesting. Built in the style of a citadel with pieces of rock and reef in the walls. Situated along the shoreline. This is both its disadvantage and advantage. The advantage is that all rooms have a view of the Red Sea, and the disadvantage is the large distances from further buildings to bars and restaurants and a large number of stairs. Moving around the hotel is facilitated by a bus every 10 minutes. Large rooms, large terrace, separate wardrobe, unfortunately very non-functional. TV, small fridge, coffee set. Beds on cataphores. Technical condition on 4 with +. Purely, attention to this aspect can be seen. Food tasty, various, some dishes prepared in front of guests. The service was fast, efficient, nice and smiling. The three pools seemed too small and the distance meant that we did not use. This was compensated by a beach with lots of sunbeds and umbrellas and two bars. Stay successful and with a clear conscience we can recommend the hotel.

Hi Guys. This hotel area was great because of the rooms each with sea view. (Once changed the room) and it was great view. People are super friendly. Food good (you can not expect star restaurant) Ample choice (cake without end delicious). And who likes fish also give everything possible. A small bakschis of 1-2 euro I think for the work these people do more than fair. We spent a great vacation there and will gladly come back. LG to the a citadel teammate

Good hotel with unusual architecture. Only one small minus it is not so good beach. But this minus is compensated with hand made lagoons, where you can swim in the see even better to weaves and water is warmer . Rooms big and comfortable, food is nice, cocktails in the bars are on the 2,5 from 5 but it is normal for all inclusive resorts.

Good hotel for families. But not for children. No slides Animation for children - jah! The rest is at a decent level.

Much too big and everything so far apart that you can take the shuttle bus to eat, etc. To windy therefore too cold for the terrace or swimming pool, beach I do not know, I was not, because too cold. Room was nice, but too big, shower and toilet was not special, wardrobe was a joke, but it was always clean. I would not book this anymore.

We have just returned from the weeklong trip on the boat on the Nile with the various visits included with a quality guide and a great professionalism his name Mina and 1 week in the Albatros Hotel Citadel I highly recommend this hotel just beautiful !!! A wonderful hotel with very friendly staff that leaves almost nothing to be desired.
It would be nice if the dinner reservation system was revised or abolished.

I can only say, the next trip to this wonderful hotel right on the Red Sea is already in planning. The staff no matter what ranking is just awesome. Food, gastronomy and rooms more like five stars. The beach top and for snorkeling holiday particularly well suited, the reef right outside the door.

There are some great pro's and somemajor con's here.

So where to begin: if you breathing in other people's second hand smoke whilst eating, sitting getting a coffee.....just about anywhere apart from you own room (that appear all to be smoking rooms given they all have ash trays) then this is the place for you.

The place is little dated, albeit the rooms are large, well presented.

The staff on the whole were efficient but there were a few that ignored you if you were not tipping constantly....which made you not want to room then.at all.

On my third day the metal sun shade; wind protector came crashing down, almost crushing me. (Pictures attached) The response from the hotel management initially sorry that shouldn't have happened. I was eventually asked if I was ok and offered a bottle of wine and a meal.

However not a great response as I was all inclusive. I did get a fruit basket....see photo.

To finish great location, staff were generally fine and helpful, food was ok, roms were good but a little dated, the entertainment was ok but ruined by the smoking, to emphasis the point the smoking policy was awful....the customer relations left a lot to be desired.

Nice hotel for those looking for peace and quiet. Very spacious complex, the beach is endless and also has a great and safe children's area with shallow water. Regular transfers, almost around the clock within the facility, so you don't always have to walk long distances.
Great buffet, especially the breakfast!

There are also shops, but not really great products for Europeans.
A hotel for families, couples and older people who are still able to walk.

Beach, pool a stone's throw. All buildings can be reached on foot. There is also a shuttle bus with which you can drive through the hotel grounds

The place is nice but the system will be in need of an adjustment
