I love this zoo and will always be going back cannot wait for the new hippo habitat to open
This is no ordinary zoo! Be prepared to walk but its incredible!
This was my first time in Denver, Colorado and visiting the zoo was an awesome experience. It is huge and you have to be prepared to walk a lot. It took me around 2 hours to see all the animals, and they are still working in the hippopotamus and area. It is a must visit!!!
It's my granddaughter's favorite place on Earth. We go every time I visit. Lovely zoo, clean and tidy. Well worth the money.
Such an amazing zoo! They do a great job in taking care of their animals and they always have keepers out teaching about them! I greatly enjoy watching the otters as they are always super playful, and the heating under the awnings there is also great for winter
Really enjoyed our visit. My kids got it for a great price, and even stuff inside the zoo isn't that badly priced. We will definitely be visiting again.
Beautiful day, great exhibits, but sad about animals dying.
My family and I always love going to the zoo. They have great staff, who take time to speak with the Kids and share the knowledge they know. It's always clean and full of events. Food is great, and love the way they care for the animals. Sky ride is always amazing with breathtaking views. I would recommend to anyone visiting Colorado this is a must on the list! The zoo is like no other that I ever been to! Beautiful
If you have not visited this zoo, please do. One of the best zoo experience i have ever had. Great set-up, awesome views. Very big enclosures and a great way to spend a day. Be prepared for mountain weather.. like gusty winds and chills or blazing sun depending on what time if year you visit.
All the animals seem very healthy. Restaurants have a great view of the city and you can also bring your own picnic.
I've always loved the zoo. Animals are my favorite so the zoo will always be a go to destination.
We love the zoo and the views. We especially enjoy feeding the giraffes.
The best zoo ever. Beautiful views of the city. The exhibits are stunning.
AMAZING, this zoo has something for everyone! Where to start? The location and layout of the zoo is absolutely incredible, the animals are gorgeous and very well taken care of, there are so many educational and fun interactions for kids of all ages and plenty for adults to enjoy! A must see for sure ( make sure to arrive early, this zoo is huge and has many attractions, start early so you can see all the animals because many nap mid day) we had a blast and will be back,
The Cirrincione Family
Best zoo I've ever been to they have a lot of rain and tornado warnings so Definatly check weather reports before going
Nice zoo. layout doesn't flow as well as some but overall very nice place
This is by far the best zoo...anywhere... We have been members for years and plan to remain so for many years to come. Definitely a can't miss spot in the Springs.
Just about the prettiest and most unique zoos in the country!!
Nice place. Just didn't expect such a workout. great time!!
Love being able to interact with some of the animals. Easy to get around. Good snacks and drinks.
Best zoo I've ever been to! Very interactive animals
FAMILY HAD THE BEST TIME@ BOO ZOO. WILL BE BACK NEXT YEAR.
It is amazing out there!! I am coming back to colorado in December!! So i will totally be back to the zoo!!
Nice zoo the display of the animals is unique and sweet. The temple of the sun is a must see, plus you get to drive threw the zoo
This zoo is excellent! Friendly staff, smaller crowds, and great exhibits (the giraffes were our favorite) make this zoo worth the trip.
Amazing experience here. You get to see animals up close and it's very well laid out with great views
The zoo is a wonderful place to take children or people who are from out of town. With all of the educational aspects at the zoo it s wonderful for kids. All of the new additions too make it great to go visit. I marked it down a star because of the grounds not being kept up properly like they should be
I loved the zoo today, however we brought my dad who is recovering from a stroke. The only thing I wished would be better would be better bathrooms for the handicap or companion bathrooms. We basically commandeered the men s restroom in the gift shop to help my dad walk in to pee, the door was too small for the wheelchair. If they have these resources they were not labeled on the map. But it was a wonderful day the the zoo was fun!!!
I've been to many zoo's across the country, and this is one of my favorites. I love the animal interaction. I highly suggest feeding the giraffes, and the sky lift ride.
Too many hills lol but good zoo and service animal friendly not emotional support either real service dogs who perform a service for the person
Amazing every time we go. So much to do and see for all ages
I pet a giraffe on the face! Seriously though, this zoo is an experience not to be missed!
LOVE LOVE LOVE it here!!! Best tourist attraction & great to walk around with the family !!
Amazing zoo! Great part is with all the natural landscaping of the mountains the enclosures feel natural and not so cage like! The sky lift is a must do for those not affraid of heights! Also don't forget to drive up to the Will Rogers shrine ontop of the mountain!
Awesome place to visit. Lots of variety in animal species that appear to be very well taken care of. Great workout going up the side of the mountain. Love the carousel!
An amazing environment! Best zoo I've ever been to. Very large so wear comfortable shoes. So much to see. Kinda of pricey but very worth it.
Best Zoo in the USA! Get to see great setups for the animals. Great exercise and best view!
It was a amazing experience for my whole family we got to feed real giraffes. And the rest of the zoo is full of fun! We saw awesome animals like elephant all the way to chickens. One of the coolest parts of the zoo was we got to see bears but the bears got feed and trained right in front of us. We also had fun getting sprayed randomly by statue animals it was so much fun.
I love this zoo and usually have no issues. I however was surprised when after buying tickets in advance for their Christmas lights event i recieved an email stating if i could be flexible due to the busy Christmas weeken they would honor tickets later in the week. I would just need show my original tickets at the counter. So we did this and for the first ever the clerk was rude told my ticket expired and when i try show her the email i she told me over the speeker to lower my voice and clam down. I had not raised my vioce and until that moment i was not upset. She started to argue but the clerk beside told her no that we were correct and could go in. The zoo is great and we enjoy our time there. This experience left a little bit of a sour taste in mouth. We will be back but not soon. Side note the giraffe feeding here is so fun!
The zoo is great as far as the animals go but the fact that you have to go all the way into the cramped gift shop to get a wheelchair for an elderly family member is ridiculous and the cost is not nice either.
God please contact me if you want to come to my house and i love cheyanne blue eyes and i dont have much more than just me baby come home it geting two be two much i got you now please
Awesome establishment.. I will definitely be back next year. Great view I couldn't resist the skyline ride.. reasonable prices for e-tickets and I couldn't get the family out of the souvenir fast enough..lol
I went an Christmas day with my daughter. What a blast! No crowds, more opportunities to interact with the staff and animals. The staff was very helpful and took time to answer both mine and my daughter's questions.
I love this zoo! Its really awesome to walk around the whole expansive area! The walk is a good source of excersise too! There is a ton of epic exhibits that they are constantly working on and expanding! Really entertaining and fun to go
Wonderful zoo...always enjoy our time there...each time is better than the last!!
We make a point to visit zoos everywhere we travel. We didn't know what to expect, but certainly didn't expect such a superb experience as this. The CM Zoo packs a great variety of animals and habitats in an accessible, walkable, enjoyable scale. Exhibits are creative, good to the animals, great for visits. The giraffe herd is said to be one in the largest in the USA... and you can feed them! We'll be back when the new hippo and penguin exhibits are open.
If you love animals, and have a day in Colorado Springs, you'd be wise to spend it here.
We enjoyed our day here. I love how you can interact with some of the animals. For an additional fee, you can feed the giraffes, goats, birds and an elephant. There is a nice view of Colorado Springs as you walk up to the elephant enclosure. Would definitely visit again!
Definitely my favorite zoo to visit. I love how the zoo is outside the city, tucked away in the mountains. It feels very natural and you get a nice hike.
For a small little zoo on the side of a mountain, they have done a fantastic job with interactive exhibits for a variety of animals. Feeding the giraffes and walking through the wallabies are must-dos when you visit.
I have many fond memories of family time at the CMZ. If you have been to the SanDiego Zoo is very similar. One unique attraction of the CMZ is the Giraffe exhibit. It s on an elevated walkway so you are eye level with the Giraffes. You can buy crackers to feed them by hand.
The exhibits are built to be non intrusive. You feel, and are very close to me he animals. The Mountain Lion exhibit is great too.
Very kind & knowledgeable staff. Beautifully built using natural terrain along the mountain.
*** OPT for the additional 2 or 4$ a day person to be able to jump on/off the zoo cart, especially if you have young children. (Carying my 3yrs old up a mountain all day added a damper & misery that was unnecessary)
Electric safari is amazing! Great zoo no matter when you go!
Decent zoo but many exhibits were empty. VERY EXPENSIVE.
It's a great place to spend the day! Totally worth the membership!
Love this zoo! They have lots of great exhibits and retaurants and a giant carousel and even a bar and play area for kids. Lots of hills and walking so it's good exercise!
Great location for viewing the whole city. Wonderful and clean zoo. Great food options.
Beautiful! We love how interactive it was! So many animals to touch, feed and learn about!
Beautiful zoo. Lots of hills and high altitude so be prepared.
Our favorite zoo. We are long time season pass holders. The best zoo. Funded by those who go, absolutely beautiful atmosphere. Staff is friendly, and knowing every penny we spend there is kept there is a good feeling.
Our favorite zoo to visit. The animals are always very active. Awesome family fun. Great scenery.
It's a great zoo. But... We got Good Night Zoo tickets, with the explanation that it would be quieter and less crowded. What we found was a very busy zoo with people packing into exhibits, no social distancing, and less than half of the adult visitors wearing masks. We left after half an hour of seeing almost nothing. Big waste of money for what amounted to a half hour walk on a street.
Probably the greatest zoo in the world. Happy animals. Great atmosphere. It's the only zoo I'll go to more than once.
Beautiful place (scenery is amazing!). The park and facilities was very clean and staff was friendly and energetic. Participating in activites such as the giraffe feeding and the ski lift rides were cheap too! Had a blast!
Love this place. And going in the winter is like having you're own personal zoo. I've gone a few times through the years and of course the giraffes are an awesome exibit but it just keeps getting better there. Bravo!
Absolutely the most beautiful zoo that I have ever been to!
Beautiful views, cool and interesting animals! Pricey but overall worth it!
The kids loved feeding the animals. And the ride to the top of the zoo.
Really impressed with this zoo. Haven't been here in almost 10 years and can't wait to go back. A must visit for anyone in the area.
We love coming to the zoo so much we buy a yearly family pass, with a guest and then add grandma.
What a great zoo! Nestled into the side of Cheyenne Mountain outside of Colorado Springs, this zoo has a great variety of animals as well as amazing views! If you are worried about walking uphill, they have a small team that can take you to the top so your entire adventure can be downhill! Workers frequently take some of the animals out of their enclosures for exercise and enrichment. We were able to meet the penguins (one even nibbled on my leg a few times!), a tortoise, and a ball python. Feeding the giraffes was the highlight of our day! There is a sky lift ride available that takes you up the side of the mountain and over some of the habitats, but be sure to ride it early as it is often closed down midday due to weather.
Very interactive. Staff was very friendly and helpful! Love the exhibits
