The set up of the whole place was absolutely wonderful. Price not too bad. About 20 bucks a person. We got to catch a Pallas cat feeding. It was awesome. They have a reptile exhibit and they actually added a decorative twist to each exhibit. For example, they had polished glass and vases in the one of the snake exhibits as the decor. it was all done very well.

I thought it was quite pricy. Online showed $14.95 for adult and this is the summer so they raised prices to $19.95 for adult. Kids showed $8.95 and they charged $14.95. Then they charged $.75 each for fake quarters to put in their machines to save the animals...but didn't ask if I wanted to participate. Not impressed. Sorry.

Being in foothills neat. But not as many animals, nor unique animals to make it a great zoo. Liked feeding giraffes. Many choke points around the park, make it hard to move past groups and stroller's.

This was a fun zoo that can take a couple hours to walk through and look at everything, there are small shows at scheduled times also that were neat but more kid oriented. There was a little bit of disappointment several times as critters were absent, I guess everyone needs a vaca. The layout meanders a bit and wound up backtracking a few times even following the map. The views from the top are amazing and just as great as the critters. Recommend comfy shoes, sunscreen, and water, it got pretty warm at times.

One if the best zoos my family had been to. The raised platforms and walkways are nice. The giraffe feeding is awesome. Takes about four hours to see everything. Lots of fun for the family. Favorite part is seeing the wallabys running around. Be prepared to hike though as the zoo us designed for you to walk up hill the down then up, etc. Possible improvement, we didn't get to see bears or wolves though but they would have been fine with a two story viewing room.

Definitely a good time. Nice place to get way from the city. Especially if you like long walks and hiking and to be able to see cool animal's this is a nice little getaway.
Little more than you basic zoo. Take the trip.

Great zoo! Took my son here for the first time and he had a blast. I found it to be much more entertaining than some of the more traditional zoos like Denver. Getting to interact with some of the animals made it a much better experience. His favorite part by far was getting to feed the giraffes!

We just love this zoo. Feeding the giraffes is something we could do all day. It's a little pricey but so worth it. $5 gets you a small amount of lettuce but it cango a long ways if you are careful. We love the hands on bird exhibit, the sloth climbing around outside of a cage and the chickens out all over the zoo. Plan to spend all day

Best zoo ever! They let you feed some of the animald (budgies/cocktails, Giraffes, elephants are the ones I saw/fed). It's no profit so every profit goes toward a good cause. They seem to actually care about the animals and the environment. It's also Sooooo much less depressing than the Denver Zoo.

Great zoo in a fantastic setting. It is built in a hill, so be prepared for a good walk. Bring some money to feed the giraffes! (Don't worry, there's an atm right by them if you forget)

I really like this zoo. They have a wide variety of animals and it is obvious they take great care of them. The zoo itself is clean and free of smells. They even have some animals uncontained so you can have an upclose and personal experience with them (only the sage ones of course. Wallabies and sloths included). The zoo is organized and easy to navigate. Lots of restrooms conveniently placed. The gift shop is reasonably priced and even has some souvenirs not seen in many other places. The information on the animals is very detailed and gives you a great image of the animal and it's habitat. Also encourages wildlife protection and help for endangered animals by giving tips on what you can do on the animal information card. Good pricing as well. Can re-enter if you leave. Water bottles allowed in.

I love everything about this zoo. Rich history, on a mountain, in the clouds, and we even got to see the wolves. Epic Christmas, ummn, strike that. Nobody is allowed at the zoo on holidays, full moons, or birthdays. Federal law.

Lovely zoo with a great setup to walk all the way through it without missing practically anything. Giraffes and elephants a plenty! A sloth that is out freely climbing on his apparatus. Just a great, fun, family friendly zoo!

By far the best zoo I have been to in my life. The animals are much closer than at big zoos so you get a much more personal experience. We have taken my 3yr old to most of the major zoos in the US because she loves animals and she loves this zoo the most as well. They also offer animal encounters where you can get up close and personal with giant snakes, porcupines, and other critters at no extra cost. They even let you typically them, which is unheard of at the big zoos.

I love zoos, and this is my favorite zoo. It's not the biggest I've ever been to, it's not the most well-known, it's not the cheapest and it's not the most expensive. But it is the most fun, and I love it.

We got to enjoy the zoo mostly on our own due to the strange weather. All the staff was so happy we were there and shared so many extra fun facts and experiences because it was so empty! The bear exhibit is definitely our favorite along with the giraffes! It's such a wonderful and interactive zoo!

Nice zoo. HOWEVER had to take a shuttle that only ran every 30 minutes due to out of the way route. There is a much quicker route but the obviously dont respect peoples time. The shuttle busses do not have the safest seats for the speeds they go. Parking lot WAS NOT full. Dont trust the signs.

Best zoo ive ever been too. Got to pet and feed giraffes. Lots to see and very hands on for a zoo. You can also feed elephants and rhinos. They allow coolers so u can bring your own food which is a plus. Parking lot fills up fast so get there early!
