So much fun. Very few people in the Winter so we felt like we had the place to ourselves. Most animals are inside when it's cold so keep that in mind.

*Talk about tone deaf, we actually saw one woman wearing a real fur coat!

Really enjoyed our trip here. It's not a large zoo, but there is plenty to do. I walked this with two teenagers in a few hours. Especially liked taking the lift ride over the zoo. In the past I have also driven up the mountain to the shrine for a great view of Colorado Springs.

Aw man where to start?? Soon as you walk in you're feeding giraffes which is mad cool. Lots of animals. Love that the place is like on the side of a mountain instead in the city like all other zoos.

Get there early and catch as many sideshows as possible... The staff run a variety of informative sessions throughout the park highlighting the characteristics of some otherwise unseen species.

Not handicap-friendly. Nice animals but in small pens. "Rhino pee" dumps a bucket of water over unsuspecting passersby, which I found annoying since it happened to me, drenching me and my walker and everything I had with me. Otherwise, zoo staff seemed passionate and knowledgeable. And seems they're trying to increase habitat space. But an unpleasant memory overall for me due to the physical strain and the rhino pee.

A fun day out for the kids. Lots to do and relatively good value. The layout was nice - winding paths helped keep the zoo compact and interesting.

Some of the "experiences" were a bit of a money pit, but that's to be expected.

Don't forget to do the drive up to the "Will Rogers Monument" that's a free add-on to your ticket price. Well worth it for great views of the area.

One of the best zoos I have ever been to. There are numerous experiences you can reserve with animals and everything is well-maintained. You will also get a great workout in because there isn't much flat ground when walking to each exhibit.

I have been to this zoo multiple times, and I am rarely impressed. There is usually at least one exhibit closed, and those that are open are decent, but not great. Feeding the giraffes is always a fun experience. The staff is consistently caurtious, and willing to answer questions. The biggest issue, however, is the price. In all honesty, I have been to larger zoos, for half the price. All in all, it's not a bad experience, it's just not great.

This zoo is awesome. The giraffes are really cool, and walking around with wallabies and peacocks is so cool! While it is in the hills and you will get a good workout in just walking around, everything feels really close and quick to get around.

Great fun for the kids, love the lion exhibit. All of the exhibits are set up so you can get pretty close to the animals and see them from plenty of different angles. The zoo is definitely not a casual stroll -- plenty of stairs involved. The views of the city are gorgeous though.

Had a lovely time feeding the giraffes, budgies, and goats! Thought it was cool that the wallabies are just wandering around the Australia area...definitely need to come back once the penguins' area opens! The space is well-spaced with lovely views. A bit of a hike to get around, so plan accordingly with kids/elderly/disabilities.

Excellent variety of well kept animals. Zoo aquatics area was under renovation, but still all the other animals were available to be seen. Penguins and Hipos were transferred to a different zoo for the time been. Nice experience for my 7y/o grandaughter.

Amazing zoo - you will definitely get a good workout in at this zoo - lots of hill climbs due to it being in the mountain. This is one of my favorite zoos to visit - they have plenty for the entire family - we love the hands on exhibits for the kids (petting zoo, discovery center, giraffe feeding, etc)
And it's a great price for everything you get - definitely check it out

Beautiful zoo! Lots of ways to interact with the animals, feedings, shows and knowledgeable care takers. Save around 4+ hours to see all the exhibits. Definitely worth the money and time

We love this zoo! We keep updated on all the baby animals being born and love to go visit!! There is a lot of uphill walking but it is very worth it. The carousel and petting zoo is very fun for kids.

I love this zoo so much more than the Denver zoo... definitely worth the drive. The size is a lot more manageable for small children and the exhibits are just interactive in a better way.

They keep things clean and well kept. They are always working to keep their facilities from getting too old or outdated. They truly care about the animals happiness and wellbeing. The youth programs they have are fantastic and helps teach children about stewardship and responsibility. The passes are reasonable and the skyride addon is totally worth it. I like the interactions that they offer patrons to choose the animals they want to vote for. I also like the amount of interactions there are for the kids to be able to pet various animals and feed them. They put on shows that are both informative and very entertaining.

Great zoo with lots to see, and amazing views of Colorado Springs and the surrounding areas. When we went there was construction for a hippo and penguin exhibit, but the noise was unnoticed until we went to see the primates. There is A LOT of uphill and downhill walking, so I would recommend bringing a stroller or carrier for the little ones who don't keep up as well, otherwise you'll be carrying them well before you finish
