If you are in Colorado, visit the zoo. It is such a beautiful place to be.
The zoo is awesome! The animal enclosures were all very clean and the animals seemed well card for. Make sure to visit the Shrine of the Sun for a little extra bonus (admission to the shrine is included in the zoo admission)!
This zoo was wonderfull so close to amimal easy directions thur zoo wonderfull staff great pricing.good views...
It was horrible...not due to the facilities. The people here are rude and ugly
Went to see the lights for Christmas season. So beautiful!
Amazing zoo, fed the giraffes and elephant. Zoo personnel were very friendly, helpful and informative.
We did not order tickets online in time to visit. Absolutely my fault, grandkids were disappointed.
Not over crowded and feeding the giraffes is super fun for kids. A great time with the family!
My favorite zoo I ve ever been to. The mountains make it stand out and it makes for a great workout while enjoying the animals.
Pretty great Zoo. Giraffe exhibit is amazing. I had that eat out of my hands. In the down under section kangaroo are jumping around or seating around you without any barriers. That was a first for me. View is amazing because on one side you have a mountain and on the other you see green part of the city. One of the better Zoos I've been to in my life.
Always more to discover at the zoo. A lion just ten feet from us got into a rotating contest with another one. The giraffes were particularly slobbery. Now we just need the new penguin exhibit open -- and something to do or see at the top of the sky ride.
Great zoo! Good layout and a lot of animals to see. Be prepared to walk a bit.
We are avid zoo goers and have been to some of the best. This zoo was very fun. It s big, has a lot of animals and they do some cool charity stuff. The zoo lights are a blast at Christmas. To us very very VERY steep so if you have kiddos you will need a stroller or wagon.
The animals were closer and easier to see than the other zoos I've been to.
Love love love our zoo!!! Very natural enclosures and lots of things for the kids to do!
Very interactive. Check out show times at zoo website. Plenty of room for animals. Many animals to see. Well layed out. Go cart rides (pay) for those who may need assistance. Many food and drink choices. Gift shop. Bring plenty of water. Lots of walking, most of which up hill. Downside a bit pricey to get in, but worth the cost.
Drove down 2+ hours to visit today, only to be told the parking lot was full, even for handicap parking and the wait to get in would be 45 minutes. Told to take the shuttle with no directions about how to get there. Won't be renewing our membership this time around and not sure if we'll be back this summer. If you can't handle large crowds, close your facility.
Amazing!! By far the best zoo I have ever visited.. No way to see it all in a day. You will need a few days at least. I was there about 5 hours and only saw a few of the animals.
I got to feed a giraffe and that was fun!
I got to see a baby wolf, the cub did not come out of the den but I was able to get a cute picture.
We stopped for a bite to eat and was impressed to see all the choices and the prices were good.
There is a sky tram you can ride to see an overview of the park and for $2 they said you can buy a ticket in order to ride the golf cart shuttle that runs during the day with shuttle stops.
It's a nightmare get to the zoo parking lot there is one lane of traffic for each direction and the traffic line goes back alllll the way back to broadmoor hotel. Make a new road or shut this place down
Was very disappointed honestly when we first walked in my daughter points out this dead zebra that was by some brush we thought mayb it was fake but dont think so and if it was whats the point of that? All the animals seemed neglected. They had snakes in glass cages with marbles and vases totally out of there environment. There was one wolf in a area that had losts of room and then the bob cats and a extremely small area and there were more than one. Then we got to the guerillas and there were cracks all over the glass with notes next to them saying oops dont worry they can break thru all the way? But when u first go in they give u chip things to help donate ur money to the animals that u feel need it the most. They all need it.
Fantastic zoo, just the right size for a day trip. Elevation and steep trails would make it harder for the less abled
THE best zoo so far. Such great enclosers and giraffe area is wonderful. They are at eye level with you!!! Beautiful. Train with take you to areas and pick you up too. Disabled friendly.
This is an excellent and different way to enjoy the holidays! The entire zoom is open for viewing, tho the weather plays a huge part in the visit and animal viewing. There are a few exhibits open to the weather, where the animals are adapted to the cold. Most of the exhibits are indoors. The pathways are well-lit and fully accessible! Festive lights line the way up the mountain. You ll be thankful to be able to stop in and warm yourself on the hillside zoo indoor exhibits. It can get amazingly cold, here. Dress for extremes if you re not used to such cold weather exposure. Enjoy! Thank you!
One of the best zoos I've ever been to. Will definitely be back again!
Interaction with animals is wonderful. Worth the cost. Baby animals everywhere!
Been so many times and still have yet to see the wolves
The best zoo in the world and I don't even have to go to any other zoos to say that because it's truly amazing! I fed a real giraffe and other animals. It's a little pricey, buts it's a once a lifetime opportunity and has changed my life for the better. Animals that you have fed become a part of your soul and giraffes are now my spirit animal. Thanks for helping me have the best vacation in my life so far. Lots of hills, but please go and feed the nicest giraffes in the world. Totally worth it!
A zoo on a mountain! A bit of a climb especially for the elderly, but overall a very nice place to visit with kids. The staff is friendly and eager to answer questions. My only issue is that the overflow parking is a little ways away and the driver we had was borderline rude.
It's awesome. Was nice to see all animals healthy. We had a fun time feeding the giraffe
Great zoo. Love the giraffes and view of Colorado Springs.
Love this zoo! It's definitely a hike but that's part of what makes it great. The views are awesome as well. Today's the large cats were very active. The Bear Talk at the grizzly exhibit is our family's favorite part.
Beautiful and very maintained zoo! And you can feed the animals!!
Loved seeing the elephants! Had a wonderful time seeing all the animals in the zoo. We went in April so it snowed. It was a beautiful and memorable experience.
Small and hilly wslk, nice zoo, but kind of pricey.
Beautiful environment. The zoo is well maintained. Lots of hills so it may be difficult walking for some. I heard they have a shuttle but not sure how convenient it would be to tour the entire zoo. Reptile house is a must see. They mix them with art. Beautiful displays of art with beautiful reptiles.
Best zoo ever. Great to be able to see animals close up. Feed giraffes, elephants and birds. Worth the trip.
We love Cheyenne mountain zoo, and the skyride. It's a great workout too for the whole family, everyone is always friendly and knowledgeable. Having two kids with autism, it's great when the staff interacts with my kids and they are patient with the endless questions. I always appreciate the kindness shown to us when we go to this zoo.
Had a great time, very clean, awesome animals and great price.
Loved it. The zoo was so beautiful surrounded by the Cheyenne mountain.
Literally worth every penny it costs to get in. You get so close to the animals and the trainers are super knowledgeable. No better zoo in America! And it's non-profit I do believe.
Such a fun zoo! Our family loved it. The giraffes were amazing! Very interesting layout with breathtaking views at the top! We would highly recommend!
The only thing happier than the visitors are the animals!
Have been to other Zoo's that are better but none give you the work out that this one does. A lot for your kids to do here
This zoo has such breathtaking views. I loved the layout and beautiful animals. You will not be disappointed!
Went to zoo after a very long time and was not disappointed. View from the top is amazing. Lots of animals, and the 4$ drive in the cable car is good too
I went with my family to the zoo around xmas and I was impressed with all the animals. The giraffes were by far the best exhibit. Bring cash to buy lettuce to feed them.
Went with the family ages 7-2 and everyone had a blast. Even with an exhibit closed we still were able to spend 3 fun filled hours looking at different animals. We especially enjoyed feeding the giraffes! I would diffenently come here again next time I'm in Colorado Springs.
This zoo is kept very clean, I always enjoy going here. My favorite part is feeding the giraffes.
Always have a fun time here worth going to but it is always busy
Had a great time at the zoo! As expected, a lot of walking and hills but a very nice zoo and experience.
We arrived an hour before closing but the few things we got to see were great. It was chilly. We loved the baby orangutan he was so cute. They views from the mountains were beautiful. Definitely recommend visiting.
One of the best zoos in country scenic views of countryside to boot!
Excellent zoo! You can get extremely close to the animals who are kept in spacious habitats. You can feed many if them. Not too large.
Warning to parents! Do not go on a cold snowy day!! Not a single animal was out in the inclosure outside! Several exhibit houses were closed and all that were open were jam packed trying to even get close to any animal. Total disappointment to all of us!
We like the zoo. There is see much to see and learn.
The experience was fantastic but having to treck all the way back to the entrance to find THE ONLY ATM was a real pain.
Best zoo I've ever been to. The giraffes steal the show but they're so friendly and feeding them is awesome! My son loved every minute of our time here and had no problem hiking 4.2 miles throughout the zoo up and down as we explored every exhibit, rode the chairlift and had a great lunch at the zoo before heading up to the shrine of the sun. If you're anywhere near this zoo it's a must see in my opinion!
Amazing zoo. There are giraffes that you can feed and it very family friendly. I took my daughter and son here and they had an absolute blast. If you buy the membership it only cost $1.50 for two kids.
This zoo had changed a lot since I was last here and the changes are impressive. You can still feed the giraffes but now it is lettuce instead of pellets. The giraffe area is much larger and there is now a bull giraffe in a separate area.
It is a mountain side zoo so be prepared for lots of climbing. There are two other areas where you can feed animals; goats and chickens.
The goats are all sizes and can be petted. There is a special feeding area that you have to see. They do provide hand sanitizer for use after feeding or petting the animals.
They have greatly updated the area where you can get lunch. There are several options with great views. There are two play areas for kids that are well planned.
In addition to the many stairs there are elevators to some of the exhibits. The Grizzlies are very high up the mountain and it is well worth the climb. The wolves are also up high but their enclosure allows them to stay almost out of sight.
My grandchildren enjoyed their visit immensely.
The weather was perfect and the facilities were clean.
We had so much fun feeding the animals!! Wallaby's walking freely, petting and hugging the goats, even got to participate in the last feeding of the season for elephants! Memories we will always remember
Absolutely love the backdrop of the mountain. The zoo is alwaus doing fun and interesting things to educate the public and promote wildlife conservation.
