Excellent for kids, not so great for adults. I had free entry as a coach driver and it was great to go in and kill some time.

Wouldn't go back unless I had kids with me but then that is what Chessington is all about, the kids. Enjoy :)

It was a nice day out with the kids. We loved the log flume. Glad we came on a school day to avoid queues. The zoo part a bit disappointing , couldn t see hardly any animals. Overall good experience

Had such fun. The rides are great, the animals look content and you can learn so much! As with any park, queues can be long but there's lots to do and the park is so well organised that everything moves along smoothly. A must for a family with children with a day to spend during the summer. Book in advance to save as much as you can as it's not cheap!

Over priced and my son was checked 3 times for the long ride and then was told he could not get on said he was a cm to short after waiting hour half in line. Very upset kid on his bday and no one would listen.would not go again

Great for smaller Kids, big downfall is the fact that a lot of the time you will wait in line for a rude for up to an hour or sometimes even more to then be told that there are technical difficulties.

A lot of the rides are sometimes shut!

Great place but it was ruined for me as I took my boys to enjoy the safari restaurant and it was fully booked.
We were told that we "might" be able to get a table in the next restaurant, which we did, however, the kids where left to run riot, two full plates of food were dropped beside me and three glasses of juice.
They walked right to the front of the queues and even pushed my two year old over, furious to say the least.
Had I known I would not have stayed at the hotel, the point was for my children to watch the animals from the window.
The restaurant was fully booked (apparently) but all night all we seen were 5 tables used, all the rest were empty.
They even refused to allow us to sit outside, apparently it was closed: (

It was so busy that nearly all the rides were over an hour long queue so over the whole day we only managed to get on 4 rides which was disappointing, none of the good rides either as they were 2hr queue and we had young children. The children enjoyed seeing the animals and the shows put on. The pulled pork smokehouse was really tasty and you get huge portions!

This theme park is excellent for anyone wanting to get their children into rides. There is not much for the older adults but is lovely to walk around and the theme is excellently excercuted.

Enjoyed coming here for the nostalgic element as I used to come every year when I was little. The rides are still good fun. Also had Not Dogs here as a Vegan lunch which is great as I actually thought I'd have nothing to eat here. Reason for 3 stars is that the animals don't look happy at all in their small enclosures, I don't believe wild animals should be kept at a theme park!

Took my 9 year old Son. Had a great time. A good mix of rides. Restaurants a little expensive but cheaper than other large parks like this. Keep and eye on the time as some rides shut at 1700. Leaving a little before the park shuts I definitely advise as I was stuck in the car park (field) for an hour before able to move at all towards the exit. A lot of people forgot to pay for parking before leaving (although tons of signs saying to do so) and although contactless payment is available at the exit barrier, this still lead to massive delays. All in all a great day. Would be five stars if not for the parking debacle.

Really loved our stay at the safari Hotel. The hotel was clean and the staff are very helpful and friendly. My only complaint is the quality of food both at the hotel and the park being below fast food or chain standards.

Went between Christmas and New Year using Merlin passes, without needing to book. Pleasently surprised at rides that were open - vampire, gruffalo and black buckineer (pirate ship) were main highlights for us. Chilled out relaxed day, and More

I have to admit that I was impressed,to see the hard work that have been put in place... It's a beautiful place to visit, especially with kids, they will always love it... There's so much to discover there... So much to learn.. And also good rides to go on.... But also, like every good things comes with some trouble, it has its own bad side... I did enjoy the sea live area it was my best bet... I just love to say thanks to who ever had the great idea to put this things in place... Thank you...

Decided to go the Merlin pass route this yr, so no pressure to try and squeeze everything in. Great family day out, the rides are good fun but queues a plenty on popular rides, made even longer by fast track scheme which i dont totally agree with .
The zoo side of it is a welcome break giving your body a chance to recover from the rides, have to say all the animals look in really great condition (not that i would expect anything less).
We ate at the Just Chicken place, the food was fine but expect to pay park prices!!
Overall a decent day out, friendly staff and plenty to do!!

Loved it here! Was a great place to bring our 3 year old. We stayed in the hotel overnight and had two days in the park for great value. Only downside is that you have to book in the restaurants and swimming pool in the hotel, which they don't advertise very well until you check in by which time it's all fully booked

The staff at Chessington are amazing. We visited on last day of the season and was on vampire for the second to last ride, they let us go around again so we ended up being on the last ride of the season so the staff were clapping and cheering, it was really nice. The staff have a lot to deal with as some visitors can be rude but the staff as young as some are always deal with it brilliantly.

Fantastic place.

Fantastic place.

We stayed in one of the onsite hotels are were so impressed with it. Standard family room was spacious with comfy beds. Loads to do after the park had closed.

The swimming was fantastic. Splash pool was seperate from main pool. Both were perfect. Time slots meant no overcrowding. The Jacuzzi was warm. Changing rooms were clean.

The park itself has animals and rides so even if you are bot big on rides, there is still something to do. The ride queues varied in length. Take Top Trumps or a pad of paper and some pens to keep the children entertained in the line.

A good selection of gentle and thrill rides. Something for most people.

Lockers are available.

4 stars due to lack of first aiders.

The day was OK. So busy though. The park numbers should be capped lower than they are or they should operate the Euro Disney strategy of allowing you 1 "specific time" fast track. Queuing is a normal part of the day so be prepared to stand around for ages next to agitated people who've also been standing up all day, either getting rained on or burnt by the sun, with the queue jumpers too, all for that 30 second ride that you'll tell your mates was worth the wait! Merlin, you clever little wizard!

There is a lot going on in a not very big place so it can feel quite overwhelming and it's easy to get lost.
There are plenty of rides within each section and some grass area for a picnic.
we spent all day there and was probably only on half the rides.

It a nice park but its just seems to lack proper control of things. Que times rarely match the app display or the advertised time above the ride. Que jumpers are also an issue and there are not any staff monitoring...

Pretty good theme park spread over a large area. The original zoo, which still exists, is starting to look a bit tired and was easily the least populated area. The animals looked well treated, but unhappy.

We ended up buying a Chessington annual pass. I was a little hesitant at first because I thought it would get boring. I have been 3 times in the last month and each time there is always something new. This place is great. Lots of fun, and the staff are lovely. Is it Dinsey world? no, obviously. Is it a great place to go for a couple of days? YES!. they've done it up well and its just great. You definitely need more than. a day to see everything. We are going again this week!.

Had a fantastic time with the family. Lots to do and see.. we stayed over one night and was made welcome on arrival and all staff happy to help.. the extra birthday package is a waste of money in my opinion as you don't get much for the price..

A fantastic day out with the (younger) kids, in winter it s great even though most rides are closed the Zoo is perfect for smallest children, stay in the hotel for a night and it s great value. Families of 5 can fit in 1 room, you would be hard pressed to find a cheaper hotel in London of the same capabilities.

Love Chessington! Come with a packed lunch and plenty of snacks and drinks as food can be pricey and not very salad friendly. I'm sure if I searched I would have found some good healthy options. We got a huge ice cream from Ben and Jerry's. Two scoops with a 25p waffle cone upgrade. It was so good. :)

Had social distancing messures in place temperature was checked before entry had hand sanitizer almost everywhere. All rides were cleaned after every change over. Absolutely amazing experiance, hotel was clean staff were very helpful. Rides sea life centre and zoo was also fantastic. Overall had a great time and definitely will be going back again.

Visited at the start of the school holiday period, usual rides etc but the support facilities were still in out of season mode - many food and drink outlets were abandon/shut.
On site team were trying to keep the park clean but seem hopelessly equipped with ancient tools and trollies.
Park used to be vibrant and engaging now with the above issues feels a poor Shadow of its former self perhaps driven by corporate profit now over guest enjoyment.

Fantastic! Very well run with helpful friendly staff. Very clean and tidy with everything you need at hand. The hotels are excellent with good food available with an in house swimming pool and sauna. The zoo and sea life centre are really enjoyable with healthy well looked after animals, fish etc. Great for all ages.

I'd recommend buying an upgrade to skip the queues, expecially during the school holidays, other wise you will end up on only a few rides, as the queues can be up to 2 hours long per ride. So i definitely recommend going fast track, it will make your effory getting there, more worth it.

Good mix of rides, suits all ages. Ride heights for little ones can be a bit over jealous, compared to other parks. Good food options, Merlin Pass is a must however as overpriced on the day prices.

I think chessington as a theme park is amazing. It s children friendly and is simply amazing. However, as a zoo. I disapprove. I mean the enclosures are way too small for half of the animals. They are generally kept very well, so I don t have a problem with that. One problem I feel needs to be discussed is the tiger rock ride. I think it s fantastic you are doing conservation for something as endangered as Amur tigers and hopefully it makes a difference. But the accommodation where it is placed is disgraceful. I m sorry but you could see how stressed the tigers were. All that noise from tiger rock ride is inappropriate. The loud music and noises from the ride must stress those tigers out. At least the other animals are away from the rides. Is this really that good for them? You are trying to promote conservation yet the main focus is the ride. Maybe rethink this idea. I know this comment probably won t even get read, but just wanted to share my opinion. I m honestly not happy.
