Only got to go on 4 rides for the whole day becaus...
Only got to go on 4 rides for the whole day because of the queues
Only got to go on 4 rides for the whole day because of the queues
Nice place, well managed during covid times, lots of activities for kids, zoo was great as well..
The only complaint, hight scales should be at the beginning of the queue area not at the end..
Good place for the kids but had to wait so long for everything
Great place for the family. Very busy though. If you love queues then tis is the place for you. If you have extra money for the fast track options, keep in mind you have to choose which rides you to use fast track on, then this is the place for you, if you don't like queues then go on a rainy day or when it is winter.
Very friendly staff. Fun day out if you don't mind quing
Ugh - absolutely packed. 80 minute lines for the popular rides. Could really only do the kiddie rides where lines were just 20 minutes.
We went today for my sons 7th birthday and he wore his birthday badge and everyone of the staff made a fuss and said happy birthday to him, we had a lovely girl give him some free doughnuts and another lad give us some money off some bits he wanted in the sealife.... He had the best day, thank you Chessington
Great fun for all ages.
100% recommend
I don't find this park is worth enough to what I paid. Not sure why staff were not fast enough to move the crowd across rides. I feel like it just wasting lot of visitors time.during the summer why not they extend the closing hours instead just closing at 6 on dot as if it is like a space mission blast off time. I had no future plans to visit the park again.
Absolutely brilliant day out. Staff are really friendly and the rides, safari and sea life centre kept the kids busy all day. Shame there are not more hours in the day as I will have to go back again to do the rides we didn't have time for. Highly recommend a visit.
We had such a nice time.. see the animals while you having a drink or chilling.. Was great with the sunset.. beautiful
Friendly staff and great atmosphere.
Lovely environment and clean.
Fantastic fun family outing place.
Keep up the good work.
Dragons fury derailed and I fell down onto peppa pig.! who then flew me to the angels.
Wow, what can I say. The hotel and park was amazing. The children and adults had a fabulous time. All staff were lovely and nothing was too much trouble!! Had a proper family break away, will definitely be back.
Kids enjoyed it. Wouldn't go again on a weekend as the waiting times are just too long. Managed to get on 6 rides and was there for 6 hours. Enjoyed it much more on a weekday
Great family day out most is cashless so take bank card.
I still love the aquarium at CWA but it's a shame they've closed the cave bit with the insects/invertebrates. The sealions are brilliant. The vampire ride is falling apart by the looks of it, my second visit this year and the second time it had only one train going around, meaning that it takes 5m31secs for 24 people to have each go resulting in a queue time for us of a couple of minutes shy of 2 hours, the sign said 95 minutes - the optimists.
I watched as a particularly aggressive member of staff turned one of two ladies away in front of us who had waited for 2 hours, their crime, they had two pushchairs with them, I think one was going to wait whilst one had a go then the other would have a go. Nope, dangerous he said, there's a sign he said, but I checked with a member of staff she said, you must go back he said, so one went on and the other had to squeeze back past the whole queue pushing one pushchair and pulling the other behind her bashing people as she went, which, in the mind of the employee I assume, proved less dangerous to the feet and shins of the entire line than standing still in a big foyer would be. She was seething, red faced, what a jobsworth, it was funny, I feel bad. Two hours!
Once they've got your money.....
My two boys (3 and 7) absolutely loved it. The little one could go on almost all the rides. Great mix of sit on rides, experiences, and animals (aquarium and a zoo). Restaurant food was okay; best for kids. The heated indoor hotel pool was fantastic; it's set to 1 hour slots max, but my boys would have stayed there for days. We'll visit again.
Good for kids around 8-14 years old. There's a lot of rides that are fun, but not too scary. Vampire is probably the scariest; it's a roller-coaster where your feet dangle. There are often big queues for this ride so if you're interested in it go early or late to avoid the worst of the queues.
If you're familiar with other theme parks I'd say this sits in between Legoland and Thorpe Park in terms of the level of thrill from the rides on offer.
We really like the animals too. There's a small zoo which is interesting to look around, plus a sea life centre. The sea life centre is nothing like the big ones with sharks but is still quite interesting and worth a wander round.
Hocus Pocus Hall is something a bit different from the rides too. You put on 3d glasses and go around.
The only two real downsides are the queues and the food. But that's the same at every theme park.
It's best for families with younger kids. Less adventure and more zoo animals.
But it was enjoyable and fun. The queues for the better attractions are 60 or more minutes. Worth spending on the VIP package.
Age is a factor. Kids will love it more than adults. I recommend Kobra and Dragon's Fury for the thrill seekers. It's the zoo side that most impressed me.
At least 3 different rides broke on me either on the car or not far off getting on.
Great fun, loads to do, more than you can squeeze into the opening hours.
Advise buying fastrack for the bigger rides as queue times were quite bad though
Recommend the new Gruffalo ride good family experience.
I did the carnivore keeper for the day. it was an present for my birthday. it was an excellent 5 hours of helping looking after the otters, Bush dogs and cats. which included cleaning out and feeding the animals. Jo my keeper was amazing and very informative and let me get very involved with the tasks. an amazing day out.
It was very fun and the zufary was brilliant thank you Chessington
Our 5th consecutive year of staying over, kids love it - best family adventure park for under 12's and parents who are not into white knuckle rides. Sealife, zoo, rides, splash zone, gym, fantastic. 2 days just right.
A great place, fun filled for all the family. Book online to save a lot of money compared to on the day prices and it IS MORE than worth it.
As with many theme parks food is expensive, but there are a few buffet style eateries which are value for money (pasta and pizza was my kids fav)
Excellent place for the kids. Especially with young children (under 3) attractions are not very busy even the busiest days.
Not as good as legoland. Longer queue to get in and for the rides. Was still a good day out for the kids though!
Great place to visit, good selection of rides, ques can be rather long however this is sort of to be expected, getting out of the car park can be abit of a nightmare though.
Difficult to navigate. It would help to put up more signs so people can find where they are going to without having to drive around for ages.
Great fun loads to do.need at least 2 days.the only advice I will give is book anything you can in advance because places will sell out.if you want to use the pool, book a time as soon as you get there.
Nice rides, not much crowded like similar parks, kids have lot of other activities as well. Clean and tidy rides, plan accordingly as you will need more time to cover the entire adventure park.
Overcrowded. Let far too many people in. Wait times for rides ridiculous
Amazing theme park, great for younger children too.
Hotel rooms are awesome!
The theme park is amazing loads of rides for all ages. I have lost count how many times we have been there. The animals are great to sit and watch aa they roamed freely. The hotel was great staff were friendly and attentive especially about the room keys as ours kept failing. It's a lon drive but so worth it.
We had a great day here celebrating Christmas. Weather was poor but meant ques were not as long
Great theme park with good rides. Plus the park is not far from where I live so only a few bus journeys away. The only problem is the queues are sometimes long so buy plenty of fast tracks :)
Brilliant day out with the children. Be prepared for a lot of walking and standing lines. Possibly need 2 days to see the whole park. Vampire ride is one of the most amazing rides so do brave the queues for that.
Over priced ticket, over priced food, with today's technology, we still expect children to be entertained by a projector shining on a wall, come on guys.
Visited this place with kids... We had a great time.
Queues are long but are worth it. Staff and facilities are top notch.
We had a very enjoyable afternoon at Chessington, although the park was crowded the Fast Pass option was very reasonably priced and easy to use! Rides are good fun but some require a little TLC
Disappointed with the closing time of the park, timings on rides, only managed 3 rides and something to eat before the park was closing. Not very good value for money
Thought the room was lovely and the resort seemed clean, staff friendly. I would like to go back when more rides are open
A fantastic park with great rides and other attractions suitable for the whole family. Friendly staff. Hotel accommodation is also fantastic with views over animal park available if desired. Food in the restaurants is suitable for everyone with children options available. Highly recommend Chessington and will be returning again soon.
Staff were very helpful, and the Halloween theme was awesome
it's was amazing experience the only thing is the queue very long queus
Very good place for having fun time with kids. Our visit consequenced with a rainy day. When we arrived rains stopped and we were lucky as every where was quiet and we didn't spend times in lines.
Queues not too bad considering it was the end of the summer holidays. The longest we waited was 100 mins for vampire
Great great place. Can't wait to go again. Marked down 1 star because pizza at the buffet was awful and very bland, worst pizza I've ever tasted. Rides were excellent and well worth the long waits.
Loved the zoo especially the tigers and the the rides had a really good day there
Wonderful time was had by young and old.
Not too long to queue for all rides bar the main ones which the 6 and 3 year old couldn t go on anyway.
However what a nightmare to get out of the car park.
Having to pay to park should be included in the entry price - thank goodness for deals
Absolutely amazing good range of activities for all ages.. hotel was fab staff was great too. Will deffo be going back and cannot wait!!
Brilliant day out with the whole family. Expensive but well worth the money.
Little disappointed at the length of queues for rides. Did enjoy rides we went on. Children loved the gruffallo ride and meet and greet. Parking not good. Lots of cars got stuck in the mud. Car park people did help and parking was free because of this. Queues to get in horrendous. May go again if can go at quieter time.
Really good selection of rides and attractions. Plenty of things to do here. Food and drinks were well priced as well which is a welcome exception for places like this.
They have a great "rainy day" promotion which was applicable to our visit. If it rains over a certain amount of hours on the day you visit you can get a ticket to come back for free.
It's a great theme park with zoo with a plethora of animals big and small
It amazed me the first to me I went and unlike most other parks it still amazes me every time I go
Great for little ones and amazing for big ones
Very disappointed went mainly to see the tigers only to be informed there not out today. And the car park if you could call it that was just unmade track and a field not good when I drove 1and half hours to get there very disappointing
Lovely day out during term time. Wait times were nothing for rides. Went with 4 year old so couldn't go on bigger ones. But lots for her to do still. She had great fun.
Excellent...the animals were amazing .well with a visit. Sone thing for all the family.. Food very reasonable.. staff very helpful..will tell Family and Friends how brilliant it was...will come back again..
Really good place to go if your not massively into the bigger rides. It's a good starting point before they get scary. I have been loads of time. Really good fun!
Both my friend and I with our children went to Chessington Friday, 24th July, and we was impressed with the organisation of the day from the regular cleaning of the toilets, hand sanitisers throughout the park spraying rides which took only 1-2 minutes. The day was so pleasant and calm. We were all able to get on the rides of our choice and queues were not a long wait
Shout out to MICHAEL LEANING a member of staff whom stood out. This young man is an asset to Chessington! Really helpful! Great customer care skills! Big thank you for your kind caring nature.
Lots of fun - love the rangers club - the rangers put lots of fun and energy into to the club but could do with changing the repertoire a little from day to day for those of us who have stayed longer or visit more than once a year. Great mix of rides along with shows and zoo for the children. We come here once or twice a year and highly recommend this as a family break.
Love the place but the queues! Felt sorry for everyone.
Absolutely loads to do for the kids and the staff are fantastic. Rides to suit all ages but nothing that will terrify the family. The only things I found a little off putting was that it's not very well signposted. Tiger Rock is fantastic, and the tiger enclosure is just great, but then you get to the zoo part of the park, and the enclosures for the animals seem so small. We went to the zoo part quite late in the day, and so didn't get to see many of the animals out..but again the signs weren't great there either. I would recommend express parking bought prior to visit online as otherwise you end up miles away from the park. Express parking brings you right up close to the parks entrance. Queue times are humoungously long..but then we did go in the thick of the summer hols..but you have the option to fast track induvudual rides, rather than have to buy fast track packages, (which can expensive and dont always include the perfect mix of rides if youve got a family of varying ages such as ours) and although this still vamps up a bill, you can choose the rides you want to get onto quicker tailored to suit. All in all a good day out though and the kids have asked to go back.
Good to be back but the social distancing wasn't in place properly
Good adventure rides and so many animals. It's best combination of zoo and adventure rides. It contains variety of animals like, sea, asia Lion, giraffe, donkey etc.
Slightly problem with updates on live status of rides. App is not showing correct status, and also little problem with drinking water availability.
very few trained staff that know what there doing. you have to bite your tongue with its bad customer service.
We came to Chessington on 31st July, hottest day of the year. As the day progressed, Chessington got gradually worse. In the morning, the rides were reliable, the queues reasonable and people were social distancing. As we got into the afternoon, a number of the rides broke down, the queues got longer and people forgot about social distancing. A breakdown of the score 5* for the morning, 1* for the afternoon.
Absolute nightmare for families with SN kids needing ride access passes. The irony that we had to queue for well over an hour to get passes to help our kids who can't queue was just utterly painful. It ruined what would otherwise have been a fairly decent day. I cannot go back because of this. If you're not affected by this, it's a fairly decent day out, but expect to spend plenty of time in queues, but that's kind of standard for theme parks I guess...
One of my favourite places to go - with or without the kids
For our girls (age 3 and 7) this park had the perfect types of rides for them both to enjoy. For parents who want to go on the bigger rides but have kids to look after, you can get a rider swap pass from the help desk.
We spend 2 days at the park it was fantastic..children enjoyed it a lot...and so did we adults..with rides and annimals.
