Love the location, fireworks, the pool, ice cream/...

Love the location, fireworks, the pool, ice cream/sweets store, the sounds of a river/stream throughout the main area, plenty of seats to watch the sunset over the lake, hotel staff, and the bar tender for giving us water:-). It would get five stars if it didn't show some signs of aging, some minor holes in my sheets on the bed, paint peeling, and the tennis courts are really looking run down. The price they charge should have been less due to the world we are living in. If you have less amenities and staff then you shouldn't charge for it. One example we found out, once we got there, was no movies in their theater. It would have been nice to have a clearer picture of what we were getting for the rate they were charging.7/7/2020

I recently gave this place a 3 star review. They left a response on here to have me call them. I did, twice, and have not had any calls back. I not sure what is going on with this place but before this I would have stayed there again but now I don't think that will happen. Since there was a lack of response on the customer service side in responding to my calls I am dropping my rating. 8/2/20200

Still haven't heard from them. They told me to call them and I did. Left my number and there is still no response. Really weird. I think they just want to look like they are trying to have good customer service but they really are just fake. :-( 11/10/2020

Beautifully appointed rooms. Very comfortable and clean. I do however have a problem with the fact that you can't get a luggage cart unless you use a bellhop. The bellhop informed us that he came with the cart otherwise we wouldn't be able to use one. Got tired of tipping everybody for everything. Also the movies only run once a day through the week. That is at 7 in the evening when you're out and about town. The dining is fantastic and the food is great.

My mother, grandmother and I had a wonderful stay at the Chateau. All the staff was friendly and we were always met with smiling faces. They have a delicious breakfast buffet, with a made to order omelette bar. I also had the tomato soup with their grilled cheese for dinner on night and it did not disappoint. The hotel is in a beautiful location at top a hill that gives you wonderful views of the lake and the magnificent landscape of MO its self. We were also in close proximity to all of the attractions, shopping and dinning. We would definitely stay here again.

Wife and I spent our five year anniversary here for the weekend. Room was incredible with a view of the lake out one side and a view of the gentle Hills out the other. The spa is nice as well and we would highly recommend it. Staff is the nicest out of anywhere I've ever been.

Great location with nice views. I stayed for 3 nights and it was comfortable. The customer service however was not great. The restaurants were not great either. I had a group of people for the fine dining and nobody was impressed with their food. Overall, decent place but only if you get it for less than $170 a night.

I have stayed here several times before and it was just as beautiful as before. Rooms are very spacious and comfortable. We brought friends who were in need of a relaxing getaway between the holidays. Due to weather, hotel was rather vacant. We tried to eat a late dinner on our first night but restaurants both closed early! We had a drink in the lounge- bartender was wonderful and then had some snacks in our rooms. The next day we booked reservations at the Chateau Grill to make sure they didn't close early. Unfortunately, the meal was very very disappointing! Service was very slow and food preparation/quality was very poor. My lobster bisque was barely warm & had NO lobster in it at all. My friend ordered a salad & side of lobster risotto for her meal. He brought the risotto before her salad! When she explained she wanted it for the meal, he took it back & brought her salad. Later, he brought the same dish of risotto that had now been under a heating lamp & had a thick dried crust! I left a comment card complaint but never heard from anyone! The blacken tuna had NO seasoning & thus no flavor. The sweet chili & crab sauce on the sea bass was sweet but no hint of spice as described by waiter. Highly priced, bland & not hot. Disappointing end to our trip.

The chateau hotel was very nice! The hotel staff were helpful and friendly. I cannot however recommend the spa. The facilities were nice, but the massage was awful. Additionally, there was a misunderstanding on my part that the room was charged for the service and a spa employee left a very unnecessary hostile voicemail. Of course I intended to pay for the service, and thought I had, but my mistake was met with rudeness and hostility. In the end I paid my hard earned money to a rude person for a terrible massage. I won t return.

We booked this hotel last minute and I m guessing room 318 is the last room they sell. We came into the room and the first thing we saw were the bright flood lights that light up the Chateau, but they were shining into our room. Once our eyes adjusted, we saw that the room was a nice size, though pretty outdated, then we walked to the window, shielding our eyes from the spotlights. What we saw immediately made us sad. A view of a roof with some trash on it, as you can see in the photo. We had just purchased some chocolate covered strawberries from the Branson Landing and went to put them in the small refrigerator, but oh wait, no fridge! Couldn t tell you the last time I didn t have a fridge in the hotel. Maybe that hostel in Europe.
The next morning we go to check on spa services, but oh wait, the spa amenities are closed due to COVID. The website says the spa is open Wednesday to Sunday, not that the common area in the spa is closed due to COVID. To top it all off, I just checked my credit card statement to see I was charged 20% more than what I was quoted on the phone when booking. They didn t honor the military discount they offered me on the phone.
If the hotel amenities and half the services are shut down, it s not worth paying for a five-star resort.
The pool is really nice, breakfast was decent, but nothing to write home about.
So far, we are not pleased that we paid for a five star resort and it feels like a Holiday Inn would ve been better.
We were hoping for a nice, romantic getaway before my deployment to the Middle East in a few weeks, but so far, it looks like we chose the wrong place.
Really overpriced.

This place is the best. We visited the sweet shop, hung out and had drinks in the library lounge, watched a movie, ate good food, took in some awesome views, was treated great by the staff, and stayed in a clean room. I have no complains about this place and enjoy staying there.

My wife and I stayed for two nights over Halloween...

My wife and I stayed for two nights over Halloween weekend and we had an excellent stay. The hotel was nice and calm, rooms were very comfortable and mostly sound-proof. We did open the patio door one night to allow some cool air in and there was a large fan down below that ran all night, but I sleep with a fan typically so it actually helped the room from being too quiet.

We had the breakfast buffet on Sunday morning and it was typical fair, but still good. I really enjoyed the chocolate chip bread.

We had pre-paid for our room in conjunction with a Welk tour and at check-out the employee realized we paid too much in taxes for our room and made a quick adjustment.

If you have trouble walking I'd recommend the valet. It is a large uphill climb from the parking to the front door, but the views are amazing.

What a magnificent hotel looking towards Table Roc...

What a magnificent hotel looking towards Table Rock Lake! There's a nice covered deck to sit in rocking chairs or regular chairs and enjoy the scenery. Inside it's elegant with an outdoorsy look of artificial plants and tree. There are real birds in cages. There's a waterfall going from the main floor to the bottom floor and a stream that runs through the bottom floor. And there's a small theater with free popcorn and a movie. And if you have a sweet tooth, there's a shop to buy ice cream, candy or cakes. Top notch place!

Wife and I and my son, his wife and our granddaughter for breakfast this morning. Ordered eggs over medium well and crispy hashbrowns. The eggs came very runny so sent them back. Biscuits and gravy barely warm and hashbrowns so tough, I couldn't cut them with a fork. When eggs came, I had them warm the gravy. They came back barely warm. Was a bad breakfast and others weren't that happy either. Come on. If you're going to serve food in an upscale place, step up your food. Even the worst places serve better breakfasts.

My husband, in-laws, and I went here for brunch on Sunday. They have an extensive buffet with so many delicious options, from biscuits and gravy, to eggs, steak, shrimp, and waffles. There is also an omelette station. They had desserts, such as chocolate covered strawberries, chocolate cake, and peanut butter mousse. My mother-in-law and I had their mimosas and (I might be misremembering the name) sunrise punch. Both were delicious! For buffet, the food was pretty good.

The rooms are spacious, elegant, and quiet! Also loved the balcony view and in-room Keurig coffee! Only drawback is no microwave and refrig. We really missed that creature comfort but we persevered!

I booked a birthday trip for myself and my daughter a month in advance. I called on two different occasions to see what amenities would be available due to Covid. I even called 2 days before our arrival and the staff assured me that the everything was open except the theater and kids zone. Come to find out, there was no housekeeping, the spa common areas were all closed and services were extremely limited. There was no availability the entire time we were there. The occupancy in the hotel was very low so what does that say about the spa being booked solid Wednesday-Sunday?
We played tennis on some very ratchet courts that were in need of great repair!! We had to call to ask for the lights to be turned on the courts and they didn t work at all on one court and 3 out of 4 on the other. The net sagged and was tied up with a sock!!
We were charged a $25 per day resort fee and honestly didn t feel like there was much of the resort to enjoy. No gift shop, no bars, and no restaurant or spa for one day of our stay, no housekeeping. We did enjoy the pool but it would have been nice to have been able to enjoy a drink around the pool.

Older establishment, which ads to the charm. However, the price for the rooms should have modern accommodations like a mini fridge & microwave. If you can put a safe in a rook why not these items? Beds are extremely outdated and either very hard or the springs are coming through the mattress. We had a sofa bed and didnt even try, went & purchased a blow up bed. Also, asked for sheets & towels and recieved 2 blankets & 2 pillows, rudely. Room has a door but no actual balcony. Way too much money for these Mediocre accommodations.

Awesome experience! They really are attentive, and the facility is very nice. Waterfalls are calming. If you're up for spending a few bucks, I highly recommend the deep tissue massage at the Spa!
